श्रेष्ठगीत 2
1 प्रेमिका प्रेमीसित बोल्दैः म शारोनको घाँसे मैदानमा उम्रने फुल र बेँसीको लिली हुँ । प्रेमिका प्रेमीसित बोल्दैः
I am the rose of the fielde, and the lilie of the valleys.
2 काँढाहरूका बिचमा फुलेको लिली फुलझैँ मेरी प्रिय युवतीहरूका बिचमा छिन् । प्रेमिका आफैसित बोल्दैः
Like a lilie amog the thornes, so is my loue among the daughters.
3 जङ्गलका रुखहरूमध्ये स्याउको रुखझैँ मेरा प्रेमी युवाहरूका बिचमा हुनुहुन्छ । म उहाँको छायामुनि बडो आनन्दसित पल्टन्छु, र उहाँको फलको स्वाद मलाई मिठो लाग्छ ।
Like the apple tree among the trees of the forest, so is my welbeloued among the sonnes of men: vnder his shadow had I delite, and sate downe: and his fruite was sweete vnto my mouth.
4 उहाँले मलाई दाखमद्य-गृहमा ल्याउनुभयो, र ममाथि भएको उहाँको झन्डा प्रेम थियो । प्रेमिका प्रेमीसित बोल्दैः
Hee brought mee into the wine cellar, and loue was his banner ouer me.
5 मलाई किसमिसको परिकारले सजीव तुल्याउनुहोस्, र स्याउले ताजा बनाउनुहोस्, किनकि म प्रेमले कमजोर भएकी छु । प्रेमिका आफैसित बोल्दैः
Stay me with flagons, and comfort me with apples: for I am sicke of loue.
6 उहाँको देब्रे हात मुरो शिरमूनि छ, र दाहिने हातले मलाई अङ्गालो हाल्छ । प्रेमिका अन्य स्त्रीहरूसित बोल्दैः
His left hande is vnder mine head, and his right hand doeth imbrace me.
7 हे यरूशलेमका छोरीहरू हो, मैदानका मुडुली मृग र हरिणहरूको नाउँमा म तिमीहरूसित वाचा बाँध्छु, कि आफूले नचाहेसम्म प्रेमलाई नबिउँझाओ वा नजगाओ । प्रेमिका आफैसित बोल्दैः
I charge you, O daughters of Ierusalem, by the roes and by the hindes of the fielde, that ye stirre not vp, nor waken my loue, vntill she please.
8 मेरा प्रेमीको सोर सुनिएको छ । सुन, पहाडहरूमा हामफाल्दै र डाँडाहरू छिचोल्दै उहाँ यहाँ आउनुहुन्छ ।
It is the voyce of my welbeloued: beholde, hee commeth leaping by the mountaines, and skipping by the hilles.
9 मेरा प्रेमी हरिण वा जवान मृगजस्तै हुनुहुन्छ । हेर, उहाँ हाम्रो पर्खालको पछाडिपट्टि उभिरहनुभएको छ । उहाँले झ्यालभित्र नियालेर हेर्दै हुनुहुन्छ र आँखी-झ्यालभित्र चियाएर हेर्दै हुनुहुन्छ ।
My welbeloued is like a roe, or a yong hart: loe, he standeth behinde our wall, looking forth of the windowes, shewing him selfe through the grates.
10 मेरा प्रेमी मसित बोल्नुभयो र उहाँले मलाई भन्नुभयो, “हे मेरी प्रिय, उठ । हे मेरी सुन्दरी, मसित आऊ ।
My welbeloued spake and said vnto me, Arise, my loue, my faire one, and come thy way.
11 हेर, हिउँद बितिसकेको छ; वर्षा पनि सकिएर गयो ।
For beholde, winter is past: the raine is changed, and is gone away.
12 पृथ्वीमा फुलहरू देखा परेका छन् । छिँवल्ने र चराचुरुङ्गीहरूले गीत गाउने समय आएको छ, अनि हाम्रो देशमा ढुकुरहरूको सोर सुनिएको छ ।
The flowers appeare in the earth: the time of the singing of birdes is come, and the voyce of the turtle is heard in our land.
13 अञ्जीरका बोटमा अञ्जीरका हरिया दाना लागिसकेका छन् र दाखहरूको मुजुरा लागेका छन् । तिनीहरूले आफ्ना बास्ना फिँजाउँछन् । हे मेरी प्रिय, मेरी सुन्दरी, उठेर आऊ ।
The figtree hath brought foorth her yong figges: and the vines with their small grapes haue cast a sauour: arise my loue, my faire one, and come away.
14 पहराका धाँदाहरू, भिरालो पहाडका गुप्त चिराहरूमा बस्ने मेरी ढुकुर्नी, मलाई तिम्रो मुहार हेर्न देऊ । मलाई तिम्रो सोर सुन्न देऊ, किनकि तिम्रो सोर सुरिलो छ, र तिम्रो मुहार मायालु छ ।” प्रेमिका प्रेमीसित बोल्दैः
My doue, that art in the holes of ye rocke, in the secret places of the staires, shewe mee thy sight, let mee heare thy voyce: for thy voyce is sweete, and thy sight comely.
15 हाम्रा लागि फ्याउराहरू समात्नुहोस्, ससाना फ्याउराहरू जसले दाखबारि नष्ट पार्छन्, किनकि हाम्रो दाखबारीमा मुजुरा लागेको छ ।
Take vs the foxes, the little foxes, which destroy the vines: for our vines haue small grapes.
16 मेरा प्रेमी मेरै हुनुहुन्छ, र म उहाँकी हुँ । उहाँ प्रसन्न हुँदै लिली फुलहरूका बिचमा घुमेर हिँड्नुहुन्छ । प्रेमिका प्रेमीसित बोल्दैः
My welbeloued is mine, and I am his: hee feedeth among the lilies,
17 हे मेरा प्रेमी, प्रभातको मन्द हावा चल्नुअगि र छाया भाग्नुअगि नै जानुहोस्, गइहाल्नुहोस् । भिराला पहाडहरूमा हरिण वा जवान मृगझैँ हुनुहोस् ।
Vntil the day breake, and the shadowes flee away: returne, my welbeloued, and be like a roe, or a yong hart vpon the mountaines of Bether.
