1 नाओमीका पतिका नातेदार अर्थात् एलीमेलेकका कुलका बोअज नाउँ गरेको एक जना हुने-खाने मानिस थिए ।
And Naomi has an acquaintance of her husband’s, a man mighty in wealth, of the family of Elimelech, and his name [is] Boaz.
2 मोआबी महिला रूथले नाओमीलाई भनिन्, “खेतहरूका अन्नका बालाहरूमाझ रहेका शिला-बाला खोज्न मलाई जान दिनुहोस् । मैले जसको दृष्टिमा कृपा पाउँछु, म तिनलाई नै पछ्याउनेछु ।” त्यसैले नाओमीले तिनलाई भनिन्, “जाऊ, मेरी छोरी ।”
And Ruth the Moabitess says to Naomi, “Please let me go into the field, and I gather among the ears of grain after him in whose eyes I find grace”; and she says to her, “Go, my daughter.”
3 रूथ गइन् र तिनीहरूले कटनी गरेपछि रहेका अन्नहरूको शिला-बाला खोजिन् । तिनी एलिमेलेकका कुलका बोअजको खेतका खण्डमा आइपुगिन् ।
And she goes and comes and gathers in a field after the reapers, and her chance happens—the portion of the field is Boaz’s who [is] of the family of Elimelech.
4 बोअज बेथलेहेमबाट आएर कटनी गर्नेहरूलाई भने, “परमप्रभु तिमीहरूसँग हुनुभएको होस् ।” तिनीहरूले जवाफ दिए, “परमप्रभुले तपाईंलाई आशिष् दिनुभएको होस् ।”
And behold, Boaz has come from Beth-Lehem, and says to the reapers, “YHWH [is] with you”; and they say to him, “YHWH blesses you.”
5 त्यसपछि बोअजले कटनी गर्नेहरूको निरक्षण गर्ने तिनका नोकरलाई भने, “यो महिला कुन पुरुषकी हुन्?”
And Boaz says to his young man who is set over the reapers, “Whose [is] this young person?”
6 कटनी गर्नेहरूको निरीक्षण गर्ने नोकरले जवाफ दिएर भने, “यी जवान महिला मोआबको मुलकबाट नाओमीसँग फर्केर आएकी महिला हुन् ।
And the young man who is set over the reapers answers and says, “A young woman—Moabitess—she [is], who came back with Naomi from the fields of Moab,
7 तिनले मलाई भनिन्, “कृपया, कामदारहरूले अन्न कटनी गरेपछि खेतमा बाँकी रहेकाहरूको शिला-बाला खोज्न मलाई दिनुहोस् ।' त्यसैले तिनी यहाँ आइन् र तिनले घरमा थोरै विश्राम गरेबाहेक, बिहानदेखि अहिलेसम्म निरन्तर लागिरहेकी छिन् ।”
and she says, Please let me glean and I have gathered among the sheaves after the reapers; and she comes and remains since the morning and until now; she sat in the house a little [while].”
8 बोअजले रूथलाई भने, “मेरी छोरी, तिमीले मेरो कुरा सुन्दैछौ? शिला-बाला जम्मा गर्न अरुको खेतहरूमा नजाऊ; मेरो खेत नछोड । बरु, यहाँ नै बस र मेरा महिला कामदारहरूसँगै काम गर ।
And Boaz says to Ruth, “Have you not heard, my daughter? Do not go to glean in another field, and also, do not pass over from here, and thus you cleave to my young women:
9 मानिसहरूले कटनी गरेको ठाउँमा हेरिराख र अरु महिलाहरूलाई पछ्याऊ । के मैले पुरुषहरूलाई तिमीलाई नछुनू भनी निर्देशन् दिएको छैन र? तिमीलाई तिर्खा लागेको बेला घैलाहरू भएको ठाउँमा जाऊ र मानिसहरूले भरेर ल्याएका पानी पिऊ ।”
your eyes [are] on the field which they reap, and you have gone after them; have I not charged the young men not to touch you? When you are thirsty then you have gone to the vessels, and have drunk from that which the young men draw.”
10 तब तिनी बोअजको सामु झुकिन् र घोप्टो परेर दण्डवत गरिन् । तिनले उनलाई भनिन्, “म विदेशीप्रति तपाईं चिन्तित हुने गरी तपाईंको नजरमा मैले किन कृपा पाएकी छु?”
And she falls on her face, and bows herself to the earth, and says to him, “Why have I found grace in your eyes, to discern me, and I a stranger?”
11 बोअजले जवाफ दिए र तिनलाई भने, “तिम्रा पतिको मृत्युदेखि तिमीले गरेका सबै कुरा मलाई भनिएको छ । आफ्नो सासूलाई पछ्याउन र तिमीले नचिनको मानिसहरूकहाँ आउन तिमीले आफ्ना बुबा-आमा र आफ्नो जन्म थलो छोडेकी छ्यौ ।
And Boaz answers and says to her, “It has been thoroughly declared to me all that you have done with your mother-in-law, after the death of your husband, and you leave your father, and your mother, and the land of your birth, and come to a people which you have not known before.
12 परमप्रभुले तिम्रो कामको ईनाम दिनुभएको होस् । तिमीले जसको पखेटामुनि शरण पाएकी छ्यौ उही परमप्रभु इस्राएलका परमेश्वरबाट पुरा भुक्तानी पाउन सक ।”
YHWH repays your work, and your reward is complete from YHWH, God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.”
13 तिनले भनिन्, “मेरा मालिक, तपाईंको दृष्टिमा मैले कृपा पाउन सकूँ, किनभने म तपाईंका नोकर्नीहरूमध्येकी नभए तापनि तपाईंले मलाई सान्त्वना दिनुभएको छ र तपाईंले मसँग दयापूर्वक कुरा गर्नुभएको छ ।”
And she says, “Let me find grace in your eyes, my lord, because you have comforted me, and because you have spoken to the heart of your maidservant, and I am not as one of your maidservants.”
14 खाने बेलामा बोअजले रूथलाई भने, “यहाँ आऊ, र केही रोटी खाऊ र तिम्रो रोटीको टुक्रा सिर्कामा चोप ।” तिनी कटनी गर्नेहरूको छेउमा बसिन् र तिनले तिनलाई केही भुटेको अन्न दिए । तिनले अघाइन्ञ्जेलसम्म खाइन् र केही उबारिन् ।
And Boaz says to her, “At meal-time come near here, and you have eaten of the bread, and dipped your morsel in the vinegar.” And she sits at the side of the reapers, and he reaches to her roasted grain, and she eats, and is satisfied, and leaves.
15 तिनी अन्न बटुल्न उठ्दा, बोअजले तिनका जवान मानिसहरूलाई यसो भन्दै आज्ञा दिए, “तिनलाई बिटाहरूको बिचतिर पनि अन्न बटुल्न देऊ र तिनलाई नबटुल नभन् ।
And she rises to glean, and Boaz charges his young men, saying, “Even between the sheaves she gleans, and you do not cause her to blush;
16 साथै बिटाहरूबाट तिनको निम्ति केही अन्नका बालाहरू थुतेर निकाल, र तिनलाई बटुल्नको निम्ति तिनीहरूलाई छोडिदेऊ अनि तिनलाई नहप्काऊ ।”
and also you surely cast to her of the handfuls—and have left, and she has gleaned, and you do not push against her.”
17 त्यसैले तिनले खेतमा साँझसम्म शिला-बाला बटुलिन् । तिनले बटुलेकी अन्नका बालाहरू कुटिन् र अन्न झण्डै पाँच पाथी जति भयो ।
And she gleans in the field until the evening, and beats out that which she has gleaned, and it is about an ephah of barley;
18 तिनले यसलाई उठाइन् र शहरतिर गइन् । तिनकी सासुले तिनले जे बटुलेकी थिइन् सो देखिन् । रूथले आफ्नो खाजाबाट उबारेकी भुटेको अन्न निकालिन् र तिनलाई दिइन् ।
and she takes [it] up, and goes into the city, and her mother-in-law sees that which she has gleaned, and she brings out and gives to her that which she left from her satiety.
19 तिनकी सासुले तिनलाई भनिन्, “तिमीले आज शिला-बाला कहाँ बटुल्यौ? तिमी काम गर्न कहाँ गयौ? तिमीलाई सहायता गर्ने मानिस आशिषित होस् ।” रूथले आफूले काम गरेको खेतको मालिकबारे तिनकी सासुलाई बताइन् । तिनले भनिन्, “मैले आज काम गरेको खेतको मालिकको नाउँ बोअज हो ।”
And her mother-in-law says to her, “Where have you gleaned today? And where have you worked? May he who is discerning you be blessed.” And she declares to her mother-in-law with whom she has worked, and says, “The name of the man with whom I have worked today [is] Boaz.”
20 नाओमीले तिनकी बुहारीलाई भनिन्, “जीवित र मृतकप्रति आफ्नो विश्वासनीयता नछोड्नुहुने परमप्रभुद्धारा तिनी आशिषित होऊन् ।” नाओमीले तिनलाई भनिन्, “ती मानिस मोल तिरेर छुट्टाउनेमध्येका हाम्रो नजीकका एक कुटुम्ब हुन् ।”
And Naomi says to her daughter-in-law, “Blessed [is] he of YHWH who has not forsaken His kindness with the living and with the dead”; and Naomi says to her, “The man is a relation of ours; he [is] of our redeemers.”
21 मोआबी महिला रूथले भनिन्, “तिनले मलाई भने, 'मेरा जवान मानिसहरूले कटनी नसिध्याएसम्म तिमी तिनीहरूको नजिक रहिरहनुपर्छ' ।”
And Ruth the Moabitess says, “Also he surely said to me, Near the young people whom I have you cleave until they have completed the whole of the harvest which I have.”
22 नाओमीले तिनकी बुहारी रूथलाई भनिन्, “मेरी छोरी, तिमी तिनका जवान महिला कामदारहरूसँग जानु असल हुन्छ, ताकि तिमीलाई अरुको खेतमा जोखिम नआओस् ।”
And Naomi says to her daughter-in-law Ruth, “Good, my daughter, that you go out with his young women, and they do not come against you in another field.”
23 त्यसैले तिनी जौ र गहूँको कटनीको अन्तसम्म शिला-बाला जम्मा गर्न बोअजका महिला कामदारहरूको नजिकै रहिन् ।
And she cleaves to the young women of Boaz to glean, until the completion of the barley-harvest, and of the wheat-harvest, and she dwells with her mother-in-law.
