रोमी 2
1 यसकारण, तिमीहरूलाई कुनै बहाना छैन । ए मानिस, तिमी जसले न्याय गर्छौ र तिमी अर्कालाई जेको निम्ति दोष लगाउँछौ तिमी आफैँ पनि त्यसैमा दोषी ठहराइन्छौ । किनकि तिमी न्याय गर्नेले पनि त्यही कुराहरू गर्छौ ।
Wherefore, inexcusable, thou art, O man, whoever judgest; for, wherein thou judgest some one else, thyself, thou dost condemn, —for, the very things, thou dost practise, who art judging:
2 तर यस्ता कुराहरू गर्नेहरूमाथि परमेश्वरको न्याय हुँदा सत्यताअनुसार हुन्छ भनी हामी जान्दछौँ ।
We know, however, that, the sentence of God, is according to truth against them who, such things as these, do practise.
3 तर ए मानिस, यसलाई विचार गर कि तिमी आफैँले पनि त्यही गर्छौ यद्यपि तिमीले यी कुराहरू गर्नेहरूको न्याय गर्छौ । के तिमी परमेश्वरको इन्साफबाट उम्कनेछौ र?
And reckonest thou this, O man—who dost judge them who such things do practise, and yet art doing the same, that, thou, shalt escape the sentence of God?
4 अथवा के तिमी उहाँको कृपाको प्रशस्तता, उहाँको दण्डको ढिलाइ र उहाँको धैर्यलाई तुच्छ ठन्छौ? के उहाँको भलाइ तिमीहरूलाई पश्चात्तापमा डोर्याउनलाई हो भन्ने तिमीहरू जान्दैनौ?
Or, the riches of his kindness, and forbearance, and long-suffering, dost thou despise, —not knowing that, the kindness of God, unto repentance, is leading thee?
5 तर तिमीहरूको कठोर र अपश्चात्तापी हृदयको कारण तिमीहरूले क्रोधको दिन अर्थात् परमेश्वरको धार्मिक न्याय प्रकट हुने दिनको निम्ति क्रोध थुपारिरहेका छौ ।
But, according to thy hardness, and [thine] impenitent heart, art treasuring up for thyself anger, in a day of anger and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, —
6 परमेश्वरले हरेकलाई त्यसको आफ्ना कर्महरूको नापअनुसार दिनुहुनेछः
Who will render unto each one according to his works: —
7 अटुट रूपमा सुकर्म गर्दै प्रशंसा, इज्जत र अमरत्वको खोजी गर्नेलाई उहाँले अनन्त जीवन दिनुहुनेछ । (aiōnios g166)
Unto them, on the one hand, who, by way of endurance in good work, are seeking, glory, honour and incorruption, life age-abiding, (aiōnios g166)
8 तर आफ्नै मात्र भलाइ खोज्ने, सत्यताको अवज्ञा गर्ने तर अधार्मिकताप्रति आज्ञाकारी हुनेहरूमाथि क्रोध र भयङ्कर रिस आइपर्नेछ ।
Unto them, on the other hand, who are of contention, and are not yielding unto the truth, but are yielding unto unrighteousness, anger and wrath,
9 परमेश्वरले दुष्ट कार्य गर्ने हरेक मानव प्राणमाथि सङ्कट र दुःख ल्याउनुहुनेछ, पहिले यहूदीमाथि अनि ग्रिकहरूमाथि ।
tribulation and anguish—against every soul of man who worketh out what is base, both of Jew first and of Greek, —
10 तर असल काम गर्नेहरूमाथि प्रशंसा, इज्जत र शान्ति आउनेछ, पहिले यहूदी र त्यसपछि ग्रिकहरूमाथि ।
But glory and honour and peace—unto every one who worketh what is good, both unto Jew first and unto Greek:
11 किनकि परमेश्वरले पक्षपात गर्नुहुन्न ।
For there is no respect of persons with God; —
12 किनकि जतिले व्यवस्थाविना पाप गरेका छन्, तिनीहरू व्यवस्थाविना नै नष्ट हुनेछन् र जतिले व्यवस्थाप्रति पाप गरेका छन्, तिनीहरू व्यवस्थाद्वारा नै न्याय गरिनेछन् ।
For, as many as without law sinned, without law, also shall perish, and, as many as within law sinned, through law, shall be judged;
13 किनकि परमेश्वरको सामु धर्मी ठहरिनेहरू व्यवस्था सुन्नेहरू होइनन्, तर व्यवस्था पालन गर्नेहरू नै धर्मी ठहरिनेछन् ।
For, not the hearers of law, are righteous with God, but, the doers of law, shall be declared righteous;
14 किनकि गैरयहूदीहरू जससँग व्यवस्था छैन, तिनीहरूले स्वभावद्वारा नै व्यवस्थाका कुराहरू गर्छन् । तिनीहरू आफ्ना निम्ति आफैँ नै व्यवस्था हुन्, यद्यपि तिनीहरूसँग व्यवस्था छैन ।
For, whensoever the nations which have not law, by nature, the things of the law, may be doing, the same, not having law, unto themselves, are a law, —
15 यसैद्वारा व्यवस्थाले चाहेका कुराहरू तिनीहरूका हृदयमा लेखिएका छन् भन्ने देखाउँछ । तिनीहरूको विवेकले पनि तिनीहरूलाई गवाही दिन्छ र तिनीहरूका आफ्नै विचारले कि तिनीहरू आफैँलाई दोष दिन्छ कि प्रतिरक्षा गर्छ ।
Who, indeed, shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience therewith bearing witness, and, between one another, their reasonings accusing—or, even excusing, them: —
16 अनि परमेश्वरप्रति पनि यही कुरो लागु हुन्छ । त्यो मेरो सुसमाचारअनुसार येशू ख्रीष्टद्वारा परमेश्वरले सबै मानिसहरूको गोप्य कुराहरूको इन्साफ गर्नुहुने दिन हुनेछ ।
In the day on which God judgeth the secrets of men according to my glad-message through Christ Jesus.
17 मानौँ, व्यवस्थामाथि भर परेर तिमी आफैँलाई यहूदी भन्छौ, परमेश्वरमा गर्वका साथ रमाउँछौ,
If, however, thou, art taking the name of Jew, and resting thyself upon law, and boasting in God,
18 उहाँको इच्छा जान्दछौ र व्यवस्थाका शिक्षा पाएर त्यसबाट फरक भएका कुराहरूको जाँच गर्दछौ ।
And art taking note of his will, and testing the things that differ—when receiving oral instruction out of the law,
19 मानौँ, कि तिमी आफैँ अन्धाहरूका अगुवा हौ, र अन्धकारमा हुनेहरूका निम्ति ज्योति हौ,
Art persuaded, moreover, that, thou thyself, art—a guide of the blind, a light of them that are in darkness,
20 मूर्खलाई सुधार गर्ने, शिशुहरूका शिक्षक हौ, अनि तिमीसँग ज्ञान र सत्यताको स्वरूप व्यवस्थामा छ ।
A trainer of the simple, a teacher of babes, having the forming of knowledge and truth in the law, —
21 अनि तिमी जसले अरूलाई सिकाउँछौ, के तिमी आफैलाई चाहिँ सिकाउँदैनौ? तिमी जसले चोरी नगर्नू भनी सिकाउँछौ, के तिमी नै चोरी गर्छौ?
Thou, therefore, that art teaching someone else, thyself, art thou not teaching? Thou that proclaimest—Do not steal! Art thou, stealing?
22 तिमी जसले व्यभिचार नगर्नू भन्छौ, के तिमीले नै व्यभिचार गर्छौ? तिमी जसले मूर्तिहरूलाई घृणा गर्छौ, के तिमी मन्दिरहरू लुट्छौ?
That sayest—Do not commit adultery! Art thou, committing adultery? That abhorrest sacrilege, Art thou, robbing temples?
23 तिमी जो परमेश्वरको व्यवस्थामा गर्वका साथ रमाउँछौ, के तिमीले व्यवस्था उल्लङ्घन गरेर परमेश्वरको अपमान गर्छौ?
That in law dost boast, Through the transgression of the law, art thou dishonouring God?
24 किनकि जसो लेखिएको छ, “तिमीहरूले गर्दा गैरयहूदीहरूका माझमा परमेश्वरको नाउँको अनादर भएको छ ।”
For the name of God, because of you, is defamed among the nations, —even as it is written.
25 यदि तिमीहरूले व्यवस्था पालन गर्छौ भने वास्तवमा खतनाले तिमीहरूलाई लाभ दिन्छ, तर यदि तिमीहरू व्यवस्था भङ्ग गर्नेहरू हौ भने, तिमीहरूको खतना बेखतना हुन्छ ।
For, circumcision, indeed, profiteth—if, law, thou be practising; but, if thou be a transgressor of law, thy circumcision, hath become, uncircumcision
26 यदि बेखतने व्यक्तिले व्यवस्थाले माग गरेका कुराहरूलाई पालन गर्छ भने, के त्यसको बेखतना खतना नै ठानिनेछैन र?
If then, the uncircumcision, be guarding the righteous requirement of the law, shall not, his uncircumcision, as circumcision be reckoned?—
27 यदि स्वाभाविक रूपले खतना नभएकाले व्यवस्था पुरा गर्छ भने के त्यसले तिमीलाई दोषी ठहराउँदैन र? तिमीहरूसँग लिखित धर्मशास्त्र र खतना भएको भए तापनि तिमीहरूले व्यवस्था उल्लङ्घन गर्ने भएकाले यसो भएको हो ।
And the uncircumcision by nature, completing the law, shall judge, thee, who, notwithstanding letter and circumcision, art a transgressor of law!
28 किनकि त्यो यहूदी होइन जो बाहिरी रूपले मात्र यहूदी हो; न त केवल बाहिरी शरीरको खतना नै खतना हो ।
For, not he who is one in appearance, is a Jew, nor is, that which is such in appearance in flesh, circumcision;
29 तर त्यही यहूदी हो जो भित्री रूपमा यहूदी हो र अक्षरमा होइन तर आत्माद्वारा हृदयको खतना नै खतना हो । यस्तो व्यक्तिको प्रशंसा मानिसबाट होइन, तर परमेश्वरबाट आउँछ ।
But, he who is one in secret, is a Jew, —and, [that is], circumcision, which is of the heart, in spirit, not in letter, —whose, praise, is not of men, but of God.
