भजनसंग्रह 8

1 हे हाम्रा परमप्रभु परमेश्‍वर, तपाईंको नाउँ सारा पृथ्वीभरि कति महिमित छ, तपाईंले माथि स्वर्गमा आफ्नो महिमा प्रकट गर्नुहुन्छ ।

“To the chief musician upon Gittith, a psalm of David.” O Eternal One our Lord, how excellent is thy name on all the earth! thou who hast set thy majesty above the heavens.

2 तपाईंका शत्रुहरूका कारणले बालकहरू र दूधे बालकहरूका मुखबाट तपाईंले प्रशंसा स्थापित गर्नुभएको छ, ताकि तपाईंले शत्रु र बदला लिने दुवैलाई शान्‍त गराउन सक्‍नुहुन्‍छ ।

Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou founded [thy] might, because of thy opponents, that thou mightest bring to silence the enemy and him that seeketh vengeance.

3 जब म माथि तपाईंको आकाशलाई हेर्छु, जुन तपाईंका औंलाहरूले बनाए, चन्द्र र ताराहरू जसलाई तिनका ठाउँमा तपाईंले राख्‍नुभएको छ,

When I behold thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast established: —

4 मानवजातिको के महत्त्व छ कि तपाईंले तिनीहरूलाई हेर्नुहुन्छ, वा मानिसजातिको कि तपाईंले तिनीहरूको वास्‍ता दिनुहुन्छ?

What is the mortal, that thou rememberest him? and the son of man, that thou thinkest of him:

5 तापनि तपाईंले तिनीहरूलाई स्वर्गीय प्राणीहरूभन्दा थोरै मात्र निम्‍न बनाउनुभएको छ र तिनीहरूलाई महिमा र आदरको मुकुट दिनुभएको छ ।

Yet thou hast made him but a little less than angels, and hast crowned him with honor and glory.

6 तपाईंका हातका कामहरूमाथि शासन गर्ने तपाईंले त्यसलाई बनाउनुभएको छ । सबै कुरा तपाईंले त्यसको पाउमुनि राख्‍नुभएको छः

Thou hast given him dominion over the works of thy hands; every thing hast thou placed beneath his feet:

7 सबै भेडा र गोरु अनि मैदानका पशुहरू,

Flocks and herds altogether, and also the beasts of the field;

8 आकाशका चराहरू र समुद्रहरूका माछाहरू, समुद्रका धारहरूमा हिंड्‍ने हरेक कुरा ।

The birds of heaven, and the fishes of the sea, whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

9 हे हाम्रा परमप्रभु परमेश्‍वर, तपाईंको नाउँ सारा पृथ्वीमा कति महिमित छ!

O Eternal One our Lord, how excellent is thy name on all the earth!
