भजनसंग्रह 53

1 मूर्खले आफ्नो मनमा भन्छ, “ईश्‍वर छँदैछैन ।” तिनीहरू भ्रष्‍ट छन् र घृणित अधर्म गरेका छन् । असल गर्ने कोही पनि छैन ।

“For the leader of the music. To be sung on wind instruments. A psalm of David.” The fool saith in his heart, “There is no God!” They are corrupt; their doings are abominable; There is none that doeth good.

2 कसैले बुझ्‍छन्, वा परमेश्‍वरलाई खोज्छन् कि भनी हेर्न उहाँले मानवजातिका सन्तानहरूलाई स्वर्गबाट हेर्नुहुन्छ ।

God looketh down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any that have understanding, That have regard to God.

3 तिनीहरू सबै जना बरालिएका छन् । तिनीहरू एकसाथ भ्रष्‍ट भएका छन् । असल गर्ने कोही पनि छैन, एक जना पनि छैन ।

They are all gone astray; together are they corrupt; There is none that doeth good, no, not one.

4 के अधर्म गर्नेहरूको कुनै समझ नै छैन, जसले मेरा मानिसहरूलाई रोटी खाएझैं खान्छन् र तिनीहरूले परमेश्‍वरलाई पुकारा गर्दैनन्?

Shall not the evil-doers be requited, Who eat up my people like bread, And call not upon God?

5 डराउनुपर्ने कुनै कारण नभए तापनि तिनीहरू भयङ्कर डरमा हुन्‍छन् । किनकि तिमीहरू विरुद्ध पाल टाँग्‍नेहरूका हाडहरू परमेश्‍वरले छरपस्ट पार्नुहुनेछ । यस्ता मानिसहरू लाजमा पर्नेछन्, किनभने परमेश्‍वरले तिनीहरूलाई इन्कार गर्नुभएको छ ।

Yea! fear shall come upon them, Where no fear is; For God will scatter the bones of him that encampeth against thee; Thou shalt put them to shame, for God despiseth them!

6 इस्राएलको उद्धार सियोनबाट आएको भए त हुन्थ्यो! जब परमेश्‍वरले आफ्ना मानसिहरूलाई निर्वासनबाट फिर्ता ल्याउनुहुन्‍छ, तब याकूब आनन्‍दित र इस्राएल खुसी हुनेछ ।

O that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When God bringeth back the captives of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel be glad.
