भजनसंग्रह 23

1 परमप्रभु मेरो गोठाला हुनुहुन्छ । मलाई कुनै कुरा खाँचो पर्नेछैन ।

“A psalm of David.” The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.

2 उहाँले मलाई हरियो खर्कहरूमा सुताउनुहुन्छ । उहाँले मलाई शान्‍त पानीको छेउमा डोर्‍याउनुहुन्छ ।

In pastures of tender grass he causeth me to lie down: beside still waters he leadeth me.

3 उहाँले मेरो जीवनलाई पुनर्जीवित पार्नुहुन्छ । उहाँले आफ्‍नो नाउँको खातिर मलाई ठिक बाटो देखाउनुहुन्छ ।

My soul he refresheth: he guideth me in the tracks of righteousness for the sake of his name.

4 मैले निस्‍पट्ट अँध्‍यारो छायाको बेसीमा हिंड्‍नुपर्दा पनि, हानिसँग म डराउनेछैन किनभने तपाईं मसँग हुनुहुन्छ । तपाईंको लट्ठी र तपाईंको लौरोले मलाई सान्त्वना दिन्छन् ।

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will not fear evil; for thou art with me: thy rod and thy staff—they indeed comfort me.

5 मेरा शत्रुहरूका सामु तपाईंले मेरो निम्ति भोज तयार पार्नुहुन्छ । तपाईंले मेरो शिरलाई तेलले अभिषेक गर्नुभएको छ । मेरो कचौरा भरिएर पोखिन्छ ।

Thou preparest before me a table in the presence of my assailants; thou anointest with oil my head: my cup overfloweth.

6 निश्‍चय नै, मेरो जीवनका सारा दिन भलाइ र करारको विश्‍वस्‍तता मेरो पछि आउनेछ । र परमप्रभुको मन्‍दिरमा म सधैंभरि वास गर्नेछु ।

Surely, only goodness and kindness shall follow me all the days of my life: and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord to the utmost length of days.
