भजनसंग्रह 140
1 हे परमप्रभु, मलाई दुष्टहरूबाट बचाउनुहोस् । हिंस्रक मानिसहरूबाट मलाई सुरक्षित राख्नुहोस् ।
For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. Deliver me, O Jehovah, from the evil man; Preserve me from the violent man:
2 तिनीहरूले आफ्ना हृदयहरूमा दुष्ट योजना बनाउँछन् । तिनीहरू हरेक दिन युद्ध मच्चाउँछन् ।
Who devise mischiefs in their heart; Continually do they gather themselves together for war.
3 सर्पहरूले झैं तिनीहरूका जिब्राहरूले घाउ बनाउँछन् । तिनीहरूका ओठहरूमा सर्पको विष हुन्छ । सेला
They have sharpened their tongue like a serpent; Adders’ poison is under their lips. (Selah)
4 हे परमप्रभु, मलाई दुष्टहरूका हातबाट बचाउनुहोस् । हिंस्रक मानिसहरूबाट मलाई सुरक्षित राख्नुहोस् जसले मलाई घोक्र्याएर बाहिर निकाल्ने योजना बनाउँछन् ।
Keep me, O Jehovah, from the hands of the wicked; Preserve me from the violent man: Who have purposed to thrust aside my steps.
5 घमण्डीहरूले मेरो निम्ति पासो थापेका छन् । तिनीहरूले जाल फिंजाएका छन् । तिनीहरूले मेरो निम्ति एउटा पासो थापेका छन् । सेला
The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; They have spread a net by the wayside; They have set gins for me. (Selah)
6 मैले परमप्रभुलाई भनें, “तपाईं मेरो परमेश्वर हुनुहुन्छ । दयाको निम्ति मेरो पुकारा सुन्नुहोस् ।”
I said unto Jehovah, Thou art my God: Give ear unto the voice of my supplications, O Jehovah.
7 हे परमप्रभु मेरा परमेश्वर, मलाई बचाउन तपाईं शक्तिसाली किसिमले सक्षम हुनुहुन्छ । युद्धको दिनमा तपाईंले मेरो शिरलाई छेक्नुहुन्छ ।
O Jehovah the Lord, the strength of my salvation, Thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.
8 हे परमप्रभु, दुष्टहरूका इच्छाहरू पुरा नगर्नुहोस् । तिनीहरूका षड्यन्त्रहरू सफल नहोऊन् । सेला
Grant not, O Jehovah, the desires of the wicked; Further not his evil device, [lest] they exalt themselves. (Selah)
9 मलाई घेर्नेहरूले आफ्ना शिर उठाउँछन् । आफ्नै ओठहरूका उपद्रवले तिनीहरूलाई ढाकोस् ।
As for the head of those that compass me about, Let the mischief of their own lips cover them.
10 बलिरहेको भुङ्ग्रो तिनीहरूमाथि खसोस् । कहिल्यै नउठ्ने गरी तिनीहरूलाई आगोमा, अतलकुण्डमा फाल्नुहोस् ।
Let burning coals fall upon them: Let them be cast into the fire, Into deep pits, whence they shall not rise.
11 निन्दा गर्ने जिब्रो भएका मानिसहरूलाई पृथ्वीमा सुरक्षित नगरियोस् । हिस्रक मानिसलाई हिर्काएर मार्न खराबीले त्यसलाई खेदोस् ।
An evil speaker shall not be established in the earth: Evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him.
12 कष्टमा परेकाहरूका पक्षमा परमप्रभुले न्याय गर्नुहुनेछ भनी म जान्दछु र उहाँले दरिद्रहरूलाई न्याय दिनुहुनेछ ।
I know that Jehovah will maintain the cause of the afflicted, And justice for the needy.
13 निश्चय नै धर्मी मानिसहरूले तपाईंको नाउँलाई धन्यवाद दिनेछन् । सोझा मानिसहरू तपाईंको उपस्थितिमा बस्नेछन् ।
Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: The upright shall dwell in thy presence.
