भजनसंग्रह 129

1 “मेरो युवावस्थादेखि नै तिनीहरूले मलाई आक्रमण गरेका छन्,” इस्राएलले भनोस् ।

A Song of Ascents. Many a time, have they harassed me from my youth, well may Israel say:

2 “मेरो युवावस्थादेखि नै तिनीहरूले मलाई आक्रमण गरेका छन्, तापनि तिनीहरूले मलाई पराजित गरेका छैनन् ।

Many a time, have they harassed me from youth, yet have they not prevailed against me.

3 हलो जोत्‍नेहरूले मेरो ढाडमा जोते । तिमीहरूले आफ्‍ना हलोको डोबलाई लामो बनाए ।

Upon my back, have ploughmen ploughed, They have lengthened their furrow!

4 परमप्रभु धर्मी हुनुहुन्छ । उहाँले दुष्‍टहरूका डोरीहरू काट्नुभएको छ ।”

Yahweh, is righteous, He hath cut asunder the cords of the lawless.

5 सियोनलाई घृणा गर्नेहरू सबै जना लाजमा परून् र फर्केर जाऊन् ।

Let all who hate Zion, be ashamed and shrink back:

6 तिनीहरू घरमाथिका घाँसहरूजस्ता होऊन् जुन बढ्नअगि नै ओइलाउँछ,

Let them become like the grass of housetops, which, before it is pulled up, hath withered;

7 जसले कटनी गर्नेको हात भर्न सक्दैन वा अन्‍नको बिटा बाँध्‍नेको छाती ढाक्‍न सक्दैन ।

Wherewith no reaper, hath filled his hand, nor binder, his bosom:

8 त्यो बाटो हिंड्‍नेहरूले यसो नभनून्, “परमप्रभुको आशिष्‌‌‌ तिमीमाथि रहोस् । तिमीलाई परमप्रभुको नाउँमा हामी आशिष्‌ ‌‌दिन्छौं ।”

Neither have the passers-by ever said, The blessing of Yahweh, be unto you, —We have blessed you in the Name of Yahweh.
