भजनसंग्रह 122

1 तिनीहरूले मलाई, “हामी परमप्रभुको मन्‍दिरमा जाऔं” भन्दा म खुसी हुन्थें ।

A Song of the Ascents, by David. I have rejoiced in those saying to me, 'To the house of Jehovah we go.'

2 ए यरूशलेम, हाम्रा खुट्टाहरू तेरा ढोकाहरूभित्र खडा छन् ।

Our feet have been standing in thy gates, O Jerusalem!

3 ए यरूशलेम, होसियार भएर योजना गरी बनाइएको सहर हो ।

Jerusalem — the builded one — [Is] as a city that is joined to itself together.

4 कुलहरू, परमप्रभुका कुलहरू, इस्राएलको साक्षीको रूपमा परमप्रभुको नाउँमा धन्यवाद दिनलाई यरूशलेममा जान्छन् ।

For thither have tribes gone up, Tribes of Jah, companies of Israel, To give thanks to the name of Jehovah.

5 त्यहाँ न्यायका सिंहासनहरू, दाऊदको घरानाको सिंहासनहरू खडा गरिएका थिए ।

For there have sat thrones of judgment, Thrones of the house of David.

6 यरूशलेमको शन्तिको निम्ति प्रार्थना गर । “तँलाई प्रेम गर्नेहरूलाई शान्ति मिलोस् ।

Ask ye the peace of Jerusalem, At rest are those loving thee.

7 तेरो रक्षा गर्ने पर्खालहरूभित्र शान्ति रहोस् र तिनीहरूले तेरा किल्लाहरूभित्र शान्ति पाऊन् ।”

Peace is in thy bulwark, rest in thy high places,

8 मेरा दाजुभाइ र मित्रहरूका खातिर, म भन्‍नेछु, “तँभित्र शान्ति होस् ।”

For the sake of my brethren and my companions, Let me speak, I pray thee, 'Peace [be] in thee.'

9 परमप्रभु हाम्रा परमेश्‍वरको मन्‍दिरको खातिर, म तेरो भलाइ खोज्‍नेछु ।

For the sake of the house of Jehovah our God, I seek good for thee!
