भजनसंग्रह 114

1 जब इस्राएलले मिश्रदेश छोड्‍यो, याकूबका घराना विदेशी भाषा बोल्ने मानिसहरूबाट आयो,

When Israel went forth out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of a strange language:

2 तब यहूदा उहाँको पवित्रस्थान र इस्राएल उहाँको राज्य बन्‍यो ।

Judah became his sanctuary, [and] Israel his dominion.

3 समुद्रले हेर्‍यो र भाग्यो । यर्दन पछि फर्कियो ।

The sea beheld it, and fled: the Jordan was driven backward.

4 पहाडहरू पाठाहरूझैं उफ्रे, डाँडहरू थुमाहरूझैं उफ्रे ।

The mountains skipped like wethers, the hills like lambs.

5 ए समुद्र, तँ किन भागिस्? ए यर्दन, तँ किन पछि फर्किस्?

What aileth thee, O sea, that thou fleest? thou, O Jordan, that thou art driven backward?

6 ए पहाड, तँ किन पाठाहरूझैं उफ्रिस्? ए साना डाँडाहरू, तिमीहरू किन थुमाहरूझैं उफ्र्यौ?

Ye mountains, that ye skip like wethers? ye hills, like lambs?

7 ए पृथ्वी, परमप्रभुको याकूबका परमेश्‍वरको उपस्थितिमा सामु थरथर हो ।

At the presence of the Lord tremble, O earth, at the presence of the God of Jacob;

8 उहाँले चट्टानलाई पानीको तलाउमा र कडा चट्टानलाई पानीको मूलमा बद्‍लिनुभयो ।

Who changeth the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a fountain of water.
