हितोपदेश 30
1 याकेका छोरा आगूरका वचनहरू अर्थात् ईश्वरवाणीः यी मानिसले इथीएल र यूकाललाई घोषणा गरेका हुन्:
[the] words of - Agur [the] son of Jakeh the oracle [the] utterance of the man to Ithiel to Ithiel and Ukal.
2 निश्चय नै म कुनै पनि मानिसभन्दा पशुजस्तो छु, र मसित मानिसको समझशक्ति छैन ।
That [am] stupid I more than anyone and not [the] understanding of a person [belongs] to me.
3 मैले बुद्धि प्राप्त गरेको छैनँ, न त मसित परमपवित्रको ज्ञान नै छ ।
And not I have learned wisdom and knowledge of [the] holy [one] I know.
4 स्वर्ग उक्लेर को तल झरेको छ र? आफ्ना हातको मुट्ठीमा कसले बतासलाई बटुलेको छ र? कसले पानीलाई आफ्नो खास्टोमा जम्मा गरेको छ र? कसले पृथ्वीका कुना-कुनालाई स्थापित गरेको छ र? उहाँको नाउँ के हो र उहाँका पुत्रको नाउँ के हो? निश्चय नै तँलाई थाहा होला!
Who? has he gone up heaven - and has he come down? who? has he gathered [the] wind - in hands his who? has he wrapped [the] waters - in cloak who? has he set up all [the] ends of [the] earth what? [is] name his and what? [is] [the] name of son his for you know.
5 परमेश्वरको हरेक वचन जाँचिएको छ । उहाँमा शरण लिनेहरूका लागि उहाँ ढाल हुनुहुन्छ ।
Every word of God [is] refined [is] a shield he for [those who] take refuge in him.
6 उहाँका वचनहरूमा नथप् नत्रता उहाँले तँलाई अनुशासनमा राख्नुहुने छ, र तँ झुटो ठहरिने छस् ।
May not you add to words his lest he should rebuke you and you will be proved a liar.
7 म तपाईंबाट दुईवटा कुरा माग्दछु । म मर्नुअगि ती मबाट नरोक्नुहोस् ।
Two [things] I ask from with you may not you withhold [them] from me before I will die.
8 व्यर्थता र झुटलाई मबाट पर राखिदिनुहोस् । मलाई दरिद्रता वा धन-सम्पत्ति नदिनुहोस् । मलाई आवश्यक पर्ने भोजन मात्र दिनुहोस् ।
Deceitfulness - and a word of falsehood put far away from me poverty and wealth may not you give to me let devour me [the] food of allotment my.
9 किनकि मसित धेरै भए भने मैले तपाईंलाई इन्कार गरेर भनूँला, “परमप्रभु को हो र?” वा गरिब भएँ भने, मैले चोरेर मेरा परमेश्वरको नाउँ अपवित्र तुल्याउँला ।
Lest I should be satisfied - and I will deny and I will say who? [is] Yahweh and lest I should become impoverished and I will steal and I will seize [the] name of God my.
10 मालिकको सामु त्यसको नोकरको निन्दा नगर्, नत्रता त्यसले तँलाई सराप्ने छ, र तँ दोषी बन्ने छस् ।
May not you slander a slave to (master his *Q(K)*) lest he should curse you and you will be held guilty.
11 आफ्ना बुबाहरूलाई सराप्ने र आमाहरूलाई आशिष् नदिने पुस्ता पनि छ ।
A generation father its it curses and mother its not it blesses.
12 आफ्नै दृष्टिमा शुद्ध हुने पुस्ता पनि छ, तापनि तिनीहरू आफ्नो फोहोरबाट सफा भएका छैनन् ।
A generation [is] pure in own eyes its and from excrement its not it has been washed.
13 अहङ्कारी आँखा भएकाहरूको पुस्ता पनि छ, जसको हेराइ अति घृणास्पद हुन्छ ।
A generation how! they are raised eyes its and eyelids its they are lifted up.
14 यस्तो पुस्ता पनि छ जसका दाँत तरवारहरू हुन्, र तिनीहरूका बङ्गारा छुराजस्तै छन्, ताकि तिनीहरूले देशबाट गरिबहरूलाई र मानव-जातिबाट खाँचोमा परेकाहरूलाई निल्न सकून् ।
A generation - [are] swords teeth its and [are] knives jaw bones its to devour afflicted [people] from [the] earth and needy [people] from humankind.
15 जूकाका दुई छोरी छन् । “देऊ, देऊ” भन्दै तिनीहरू चिच्च्याउँछन् । तिनवटा कुरा छन् जुन कहिल्यै सन्तुष्ट हुँदैनन्, र चारवटा कुरा जसले कहिल्यै “पुग्यो” भन्दैनन् ।
[belong] to A leech - two daughters give - give three [things] they not they are satisfied four [things] not they say enough.
16 पाताल, बाँझी स्त्री, पानीले कहिल्यै सन्तुष्ट नहुने जमिन र कहिल्यै “पुग्यो” नभन्ने आगो । (Sheol h7585)
Sheol and barrenness of a womb land [which] not it is satisfied water and fire [which] not it says enough. (Sheol h7585)
17 बुबालाई खिल्ली उडाउने र आमाको आज्ञालाई खिसी गर्ने आँखालाई बेँसीका कागहरूले ठुँगेर बाहिर निकाल्ने छन्, र त्यसलाई गिद्धहरूले खाने छन् ।
An eye - [which] it mocks a father so it may despise obedience of a mother they will pluck out it [the] ravens of [the] wadi and they will eat it [the] young of an eagle.
18 तिनवटा कुरा छन्, जुन मेरा लागि ज्यादै उदेकका छन्, चारवटा छन्, जसलाई म बुझ्न सक्दिनँ:
Three [things] they they are [too] wonderful for me (and four [things] *Q(k)*) not I know them.
19 आकाशमा चिलको चाल, चट्टानमा सर्पको चाल, समुद्रको बिचमा जहाजको चाल र तरुणीसित पुरुषको चाल ।
[the] way of The eagle - in the heavens [the] way of a snake on a rock [the] way of a ship in [the] heart of [the] sea and [the] way of a man with a young woman.
20 व्यभिचारी स्त्रीको चाल यस्तो हुन्छः त्यसले खाएर आफ्नो मुख पुछ्छे अनि भन्छे, “मैले कुनै गल्ती गरेकी छैनँ ।”
[is] thus - [the] way of A woman adulterous she eats and she wipes clean mouth her and she says not I have done wickedness.
21 तिनवटा कुराबाट पृथ्वी काम्छ, र चारवटा कुरालाई यसले सहन सक्दैनः
Under three [things] it quakes [the] earth and under four [things] not it is able to bear up.
22 राजा भएको नोकर, खानाले टन्न अघाएको मूर्ख,
Under a slave for he will become king and a fool for he will be satisfied food.
23 विवाह गर्ने माया नपाएकी स्त्री र आफ्नी मालिक्नीलाई पन्छाएर उक्त ठाउँमा बस्ने नोकर्नी ।
Under a hated [woman] for she will be married and a female servant for she will dispossess mistress her.
24 पृथ्वीमा चारवटा कुरा साना छन्, र पनि तिनीहरू अत्यन्तै बुद्धिमान् छन्:
Four [things] they [are] small [things] of [the] earth and they [are] wise [things] made wise.
25 कमिलाहरू निर्बल प्राणी हुन्, तरै पनि तिनीहरूले ग्रीष्म ऋतुमा आफ्नो भोजन तयार पार्छन् ।
The ants [are] a people not strong and they prepared in the summer food their.
26 शापानहरू शक्तिशाली प्राणी होइनन्, तरै पनि पहरामा तिनीहरूले आफ्नो घर बनाउछन् ।
Rock badgers [are] a people not mighty and they made in the rock[s] home their.
27 सलहहरूको कुनै राजा हुँदैन, तरै पनि तिनीहरू हुल बाँधेर अगाडि बढ्छन् ।
A king not [belongs] to the locust and it went out dividing all of it.
28 छेपाराहरूलाई तपाईंका दुईवटा हातले समात्न सकिन्छ, तरै पनि तिनीहरू राजदरबारमा पाइन्छन् ।
A lizard in [two] hands you will grasp and it [is] in [the] palaces of a king.
29 तिनवटा कुरा छन्, जो आफ्नो हिँडाइमा रवाफिला छन् र चारवटा छन् जुन शानसँग हिँड्छन्:
Three [things] they [are] doing well of step and four [things] [are] doing well to walk.
30 सिंह पशुहरूमध्ये सबैभन्दा शक्तिशाली हुन्छ, जो कुनै प्राणीदेखि तर्कंदैन ।
A lion [is] mighty among the animal[s] and not it turns back from before anything.
31 शानसँग हिँड्ने कुखुराको भाले, बोका र आफ्नो छेउमा सिपाहीहरू राखेर हिँड्ने राजा ।
A rooster of loins or a male goat and a king a band of soldiers with him.
32 आफैलाई उचालेर तँ मूर्ख भएको छस् भने वा तैँले खराबीको योजना रचेको छस् भने हातले तेरो मुख थुनिहाल् ।
If you have been foolish by exalting yourself and if you have plotted hand to a mouth.
33 जसरी दूध मथेर घिउ निस्कन्छ, र नाक ठोक्किँदा रगत निस्कन्छ, त्यसरी नै रिसमा गरिएको कामले द्वन्द्व उत्पन्न गराउँछ ।
For squeezing of milk it brings forth butter and squeezing of a nose it brings forth blood and squeezing of anger it brings forth strife.
