गन्ती 27
1 योसेफका छोरा मनश्शेका कुलका, मनश्शेका छोरा माकीर, माकीरका छोरा गिलेद, गिलेदका छोरा हेपेर, हेपेरका छोरा सलोफादका छोरीहरू मोशाकहाँ आए । तिनका छोरीहरूका नाउँ यिनै थिएः महला, नोआह, होग्ला, मिल्का र तिर्सा ।
Then the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh [Causing to forget], of the families of Manasseh [Causing to forget] the son of Joseph [May he add] came near. These are the names of his daughters: Mahlah, Noah [Rest], and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah.
2 तिनीहरू भेट हुने पालको प्रवेश-द्वारमा मोशा, पुजारी एलाजार, अगुवाहरू र सारा समुदायको सामु खडा भए ।
They stood before Moses [Drawn out], and before Eleazar [Help of God] the priest, and before the princes and all the congregation, at the door of the Tent of Meeting, saying,
3 तिनीहरूले भने, “हाम्रा बुबा मरुभूमिमा मरे । तिनी परमप्रभुको विरुद्धमा विद्रोह गर्ने कोरहको दलमा थिएनन् । तिनी आफ्नै पापको कारण मरे र तिनका कुनै छोराहरू छैनन् ।
“Our father died in the wilderness. He was not among the company of those who gathered themselves together against Adonai in the company of Korach [Bald one, Frost], but he died in his own crime deserving penalty, sin ·missing the goal·. He had no sons.
4 तिनका छोराहरू नभएकै कारण हाम्रा बुबाको नाउँ तिनका कुलका सदस्यहरूको बिचबाट किन निर्मूल गर्ने? हामीहरूलाई हाम्रा बुबाका नातेदारहरूमाझ जग्गा दिनुहोस् ।”
Why should the name of our father be taken away from among his family, because he had no son? Give to us a possession among the brothers of our father.”
5 त्यसैले मोशाले तिनीहरूको विषयलाई परमप्रभुकहाँ ल्याए ।
Moses [Drawn out] brought their mishpat ·case· before Adonai.
6 परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्नुभयो,
Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out], saying,
7 “सलोफादका छोरीहरूले ठिकै भनिरहेका छन् । तैँले तिनीहरूलाई तिनीहरूका बुबाका नातेदारहरूमाझ उत्तराधिकारको रूपमा अंश दिनुपर्छ र तिनीहरूका बुबाको उत्तराधिकार तिनीहरूकै स्वामित्वमा रहोस् भनी तैँले निश्चय गर्नुपर्छ ।
“The daughters of Zelophehad speak right. You shall surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father’s brothers. You shall cause the inheritance of their father to pass to them.
8 तैँले इस्राएलका मानिसहरूलाई भन्, 'यदि कुनै मानिस मर्छ र त्यसको छोरा छैन भने, तिमीहरूले त्यसको सम्पत्ति त्यसकी छोरीलाई दिनुपर्छ ।
You shall speak to the children of Israel [God prevails], saying, ‘If a man dies, and has no son, then you shall cause his inheritance to pass to his daughter.
9 यदि त्यसकी छोरी छैन भने, तिमीहरूले त्यसको अंश त्यसको आफ्नो भाइलाई दिनुपर्छ ।
If he has no daughter, then you shall give his inheritance to his brothers.
10 यदि त्यसको भाइ छैन भने, तिमीहरूले त्यसको अंश त्यसका बुबाका भाइहरूलाई दिनुपर्छ ।
If he has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to his father’s brothers.
11 यदि त्यसका बुबाका भाइहरू छैनन् भने, तिमीहरूले त्यसको अंश त्यसको कुलको सबैभन्दा नजिकको नातेदारलाई दिनुपर्छ । त्यसले त्यो आफ्नो निम्ति ग्रहण गर्नुपर्छ । यो परमप्रभुले मलाई आज्ञा गर्नुभएअनुसार इस्राएलका मानिसहरूका निम्ति आदेशद्वारा स्थापित गरिएको नियम हुने छ' ।”
If his father has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to his kinsman who is next to him of his family, and he shall possess it. This shall be a statute and judgement for the children of Israel [God prevails], as Adonai enjoined Moses [Drawn out].’”
12 परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्नुभयो, “अबारीम पर्वतमाथि जा र मैले इस्राएलका मानिसहरूलाई दिएको भूमिलाई हेर् ।
Adonai said to Moses [Drawn out], “Go up into this mountain of Abarim, and see the land which I have given to the children of Israel [God prevails].
13 तैँले यसलाई हेरेपछि तँ पनि तेरा दाजु हारूनजस्तै तेरा मानिसहरूकहाँ जानुपर्छ ।
When you have seen it, you also shall be gathered to your people, as Aaron [Light-bringer] your brother was gathered;
14 तिमीहरू दुवै जनाले सीनको मरुभूमिमा मेरो आज्ञा विरुद्ध विद्रोह गरेको हुनाले यस्तो हुने छ । त्यहाँ चट्टानबाट पानी बगेर निस्कँदा तिमीहरूका रिसमा तिमीहरूले सारा समुदायको नजरमा पवित्र जनको रूपमा मलाई आदर गर्न चुक्यौ ।” यो घटना सीनको मरूभूमिको कादेशको मेरीबाको पानीमा भएको थियो ।
because in the strife of the congregation, you rebelled against my word in the wilderness of Zin, to honor me as holy at the waters before their eyes.” (These are the waters of Meribah [Quarreling] of Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.)
15 त्यसपछि मोशाले परमप्रभुलाई भने,
Moses [Drawn out] spoke to Adonai, saying,
16 “हे सबै मानव-जातिका आत्माका परमप्रभु परमेश्वर, समुदायमाथि एक जना मानिस नियुक्त गर्नुहोस्,
“Let Adonai, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation,
17 एउटा यस्तो मानिस जो तिनीहरूको अघिअघि बाहिर जाओस् र भित्र आओस् अनि तिनीहरूलाई बाहिर जाँदा र भित्र आउँदा नेतृत्व गरोस्, ताकि तपाईंका समुदाय गोठालोविनाका भेडाहरूजस्ता नहोऊन् ।”
who may go out before them, and who may come in before them, and who may lead them out, and who may bring them in; that the congregation of Adonai not be as sheep which have no shepherd.”
18 परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्नुभयो, “नूनका छोरा यहोशूलाई ले, एउटा मानिस जसमा मेरो आत्मा छ र त्यसमाथि तेरो हात राख् ।
Adonai said to Moses [Drawn out], “Take Joshua [Yah Salvation] the son of Nun, a man in whom is the breath mind Spirit, and lay your hand on him.
19 त्यसलाई पुजारी एलाजार र सबै समुदाय सामु राख् र तिनीहरूको सामुन्ने नै तिनीहरूलाई नेतृत्व गर्न त्यसलाई आज्ञा दे ।
Set him before Eleazar [Help of God] the priest, and before all the congregation; and enjoin him in their sight.
20 तैँले तेरो केही अधिकार त्यसलाई दिनुपर्छ, ताकि इस्राएलका मानिसहरूका सबै समुदायले तिनको आज्ञा पालन गरून् ।
You shall give authority to him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel [God prevails] may obey.
21 त्यो ऊरीमको निर्णयद्वारा आफ्नो निम्ति मेरो इच्छा खोज्न पुजारी एलाजारको सामु जाने छ । त्यो र इस्राएलका सबै मानिस अर्थात् सारा समुदाय त्यसको आज्ञामा नै बाहिर जाने छन् र भित्र आउने छन् ।”
He shall stand before Eleazar [Help of God] the priest, who shall inquire for him by the judgments of the Urim before Adonai. At his word they shall go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel [God prevails] with him, even all the congregation.”
22 त्यसैले मोशाले परमप्रभुले तिनलाई आज्ञा गर्नुभएबमोजिम गरे । तिनले यहोशूलाई लिए र पुजारी एलाजार र सारा समुदायको सामु राखे ।
Moses [Drawn out] did as Adonai enjoined him. He took Joshua [Yah Salvation], and set him before Eleazar [Help of God] the priest, and before all the congregation.
23 तिनले उनीमाथि आफ्ना हात राखे र परमप्रभुले तिनलाई आज्ञा गर्नुभएझैँ नेतृत्व गर्न उनलाई आज्ञा दिए ।
He laid his hands on him, and enjoined him, as Adonai spoke by Moses [Drawn out].
