गन्ती 10

1 परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्‍नुभयो,

And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,

2 “चाँदीका दुईवटा तुरही बना । चाँदीलाई पिटेर तिनीहरूलाई बना । तैँले तुरहीलाई समुदायलाई भेला हुन बोलाउन र तिनीहरूका छाउनी सार्न समुदायलाई बोलाउन प्रयोग गर्नुपर्छ ।

Make unto thyself two trumpets of silver, beaten out of one piece shalt thou make them; and they shall serve thee for the calling of the congregation, and for the setting forward of the camps.

3 भेट हुने पालको प्रवेश-द्वारमा तेरो अघि भेला हुन समुदायलाई बोलाउन पुजारीले तुरहीहरू फुक्‍नुपर्छ ।

And when they shall blow with both, all the congregation shall assemble themselves unto thee at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

4 यदि पुजारीले एउटा मात्र तुरही फुक्यो भने, अगुवाहरू अर्थात् इस्राएलका कुलका प्रमुखहरू तँकहाँ आउनुपर्छ ।

And if they blow with but one, then shall assemble themselves unto thee the princes, the heads of the thousands of Israel.

5 तैँले ठुलो आवाजमा सङ्केत दिँदा पूर्वतिरका छाउनीहरूले आफ्नो यात्रा सुरु गर्नुपर्छ ।

And when ye blow an alarm, then shall set forward the camps that encamp on the east side.

6 दोस्रो पटक ठुलो आवाजमा सङ्केत गर्दा दक्षिणतिरका छाउनीहरूले तिनीहरूको यात्रा सुरु गर्नुपर्छ । तिनीहरूका यात्राको निम्ति तिनीहरूले ठुलो आवाजमा सङ्केत दिनुपर्छ ।

And when ye blow an alarm the second time, then shall set forward the camps that encamp on the south side: an alarm shall they blow for their setting forward.

7 समुदाय सँगै भेला हुँदा तुरही फुक, तर ठुलो आवाजमा होइन ।

But at the assembling of the assembly, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm.

8 हारूनका छोराहरू अर्थात् पुजारीहरूले तुरही फुक्‍नुपर्छ । यो तिमीहरूलाई मानिसहरूका पुस्तौँ-पुस्तासम्म सदैवको निम्ति नियम हुनेछ ।

And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets; and they shall be to you for an ordinance for ever throughout your generations.

9 तिमीहरूलाई अत्याचार गर्ने शत्रुको विरुद्ध आफ्नो मुलुकमा तिमीहरू युद्ध गर्न जाँदा, तिमीहरूले तुरहीसँगै जनाउँ-ध्वनि दिनुपर्छ । म परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्‍वरले सम्झने छु र तिनीहरूलाई तिमीहरूका शत्रुहरूबाट बचाउने छु ।

And if ye go to war in your land against the oppressor that oppresseth you, then shall ye blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the Lord your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.

10 साथै नियमित चाड र महिनाको सुरुवात दुवै किसिमको उत्सवको समयमा, तिमीहरूले आफ्नो होमबलि र मेलबलि चढाउँदा तुरही बजाउनुपर्छ । यिनीहरूले म परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्‍वरलाई याद दिलाउने छन् । म तिमीहरूका परमप्रभु परमेश्‍वर हुँ ।” दोस्रो वर्षको

And on the day of your gladness, and on your appointed festivals, and on the beginnings of your months, shall ye blow with the trumpets over your burnt-offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace-offerings; and they shall be to you for a memorial before your God: I am the Lord your God.

11 दोस्रो महिनाको बिसौँ दिनमा करारका आदेशहरूका पवित्र वासस्थानबाट हट्यो ।

And it came to pass in the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, that the cloud was taken up from off the tabernacle of the testimony.

12 त्यसपछि इस्राएलका मानिसहरू सीनैको मरुभूमिबाट आफ्नो यात्रामा लागे ।

And the children of Israel set forward on their journeys from the wilderness of Sinai, and the cloud halted in the wilderness of Paran.

13 बादल पारानको मरुभूमिमा रोकियो । मोशाद्वारा दिइएको परमप्रभुको आज्ञा पालन गरेर तिनीहरूले पहिलो यात्रा गरे । यहूदाका सन्तानहरूका झन्डामुनिका छाउनीले आ-आफ्ना फौज लिएर पहिलो लश्करमा हिँडे ।

And they set forward for the first time at the order of the Lord by the hand of Moses.

14 यहूदाको फौजको नेतृत्व अम्मीनादाबका छोरा नहशोनले गरे ।

And the standard of the camp of the children of Judah set forward at the first, according to their armies: and over their host was Nachshon the son of 'Amminadab.

15 इस्साखारका सन्तानहरूका फौजको नेतृत्व सूआरका छोरा नतनेलले गरे ।

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Issachar was Nethanel the son of Zuar.

16 जबूलूनका सन्तानहरूका फौजको नेतृत्व हेलोनका छोरा एलीआबले गरे ।

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Zebulun was Eliab the son of Chelon.

17 पवित्र वासस्थानको देखरेख गर्ने गेर्शोन र मरारीका सन्तानहरूले पवित्र वासस्थान उठाए र आफ्नो यात्रामा हिँडे ।

And [in the mean time] the tabernacle was taken down; and then set forward the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari, the bearers of the tabernacle.

18 फेरि, रूबेनको छाउनीको झन्डामुनिका फौजले यात्रा सुरु गरे । रूबेनको फौजको नेतृत्व शदेऊरका छोरा एलीसूरले गरे ।

Then set forward the standard of the camp of Reuben, according to their armies: and over their host was Elizur the son of Shedeur.

19 शिमोयोनका सन्तानहरूका फौजको नेतृत्व सूरीशद्दैका छोरा शलूमीएलले गरे ।

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Simeon was Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.

20 गादका सन्तानहरूका फौजको नेतृत्व दूएलका छोरा एल्यासापले गरे ।

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Gad was Elyassaph the son of Deuel.

21 कहातीहरू हिँडे । तिनीहरूले पवित्र स्थानका पवित्र सामानहरू बोके । अरूहरूले कहातीहरू अर्को छाउनीमा नआइपुग्दै पवित्र वासस्थान खडा गर्थे । त्यसपछि एफ्राइमका सन्तानहरूका झन्डामुनिका फौज हिँडे ।

And then set forward the Kehathites, the bearers of the sanctuary: and the others set up the tabernacle against they came.

22 एफ्राइमको फौजको नेतृत्व अम्मीहूदका छोरा एलीशामा गरे ।

Then set forward the standard of the camp of the children of Ephraim according to their armies; and over their host was Elishama the son of 'Ammihud.

23 मनश्‍शेका सन्तानहरूका फौजको नेतृत्व पदासूरका छोरा गमलिएलले गरे ।

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Menasseh was Gamliel the son of Pedahzur.

24 बेन्यामीनका सन्तानहरूका कुलको फौजको नेतृत्व गिदेओनीका छोरा अबीदानले गरे ।

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Benjamin was Abidan the son of Gidoni.

25 दानको सन्तानहरूका झन्डामुनि छाउनी लगाएका फौज अन्तिममा हिँडे । दानको फौजको नेतृत्व अम्मीशद्दैका छोरा अहीएजेरले गरे ।

Then set forward the standard of the camp of the children of Dan, the rereward of all the camps, according to their hosts: and over their host was Achiezer the son of 'Ammishaddai.

26 आशेरका सन्तानहरूका कुलको फौजको नेतृत्व ओक्रानका छोरा पगीएलले गरे ।

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Asher was Pagiel the son of 'Ochran.

27 नप्‍तालीका सन्तानहरूका कुलको फौजको नेतृत्व एनानका छोरा अहीराले गरे ।

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Naphtali was Achira the son of 'Enan.

28 इस्राएलका मानिसहरूका फौजले यसरी आफ्नो यात्रा सुरु गर्‍यो । मोशाले मिद्यानी रूएलका छोरा होबाबसँग कुरा गरे ।

In this order were the journeyings of the children of Israel according to their armies, when they set forward.

29 रूएल मोशाका ससुरा थिए । मोशाले होबाबसँग कुरा गरे र भने, “हामी परमप्रभुले भन्‍नुभएको ठाउँतिर यात्रा गरिरहेका छौँ । परमप्रभुले भन्‍नुभयो, 'म यो तिमीहरूलाई दिने छु ।' हामीसँगै आउनुहोस् र हामीले तपाईंलाई असल गर्ने छौँ । परमप्रभुले इस्राएलको निम्ति असल गर्ने प्रतिज्ञा गर्नुभएको छ ।”

And Moses said unto Chobab, the son of Reuel the Midianite, the father-in-law of Moses, We are journeying unto the place of which the Lord hath said, This will I give unto you: come thou with us, and we will do thee good; for the Lord hath spoken [to bring] good upon Israel.

30 तर होबाबले मोशालाई भने, “म तिमीहरूसँग जाँदिनँ । म मेरो आफ्नै मुलुकतिर र मेरा आफ्नै मानिसहरूकहाँ जाने छु ।”

And he said unto him, I will not go; but to my own land, and to my birthplace will I go.

31 त्यसपछि मोशाले जवाफ दिए, “कृपया, हामीलाई नछोड्नुहोस् । मरुभूमिमा कसरी छाउनी लगाउने भनी तपाईंलाई थाहा छ । तपाईंले हाम्रो हेरचाह गर्नुपर्छ ।

And he said, Do not, I pray thee, leave us; since thou didst find out the places where we were to encamp in the wilderness, and thou hast been to us instead of eyes.

32 यदि तपाईं हामीसँग जानुभयो भने परमप्रभुले हामीलाई असल गर्नुभएझैँ हामी तपाईंको निम्ति असल नै गर्नेछौँ ।” तिनीहरूले परमप्रभुको पर्वतबाट तिन दिनसम्म यात्रा गरे ।

And it shall be, if thou go with us, yea, it shall be, that the same goodness which the Lord may do unto us, will we do unto thee.

33 तिनीहरूको निम्ति विश्राम गर्ने ठाउँ पत्ता लगाउन परमप्रभुको करारको सन्दूक तिन दिनसम्म तिनीहरूको अघि-अघि लगियो ।

And they set forward from the mount of the Lord a three days' journey; and the ark of the covenant of the Lord went before them in the three days' journey, to search out for them a resting-place.

34 तिनीहरूले यात्रा गर्दा परमप्रभुको बादल दिनमा तिनीहरूसँग थियो ।

And the cloud of the Lord was over them by day, when they set forward from the camp.

35 जब-जब सन्दूक उठाइन्थ्यो मोशाले यसो भन्थे, “हे परमप्रभु, उठ्नुहोस् । तपाईंका शत्रुहरूलाई तितरबितर पार्नुहोस् । तपाईंलाई घृणा गर्नेहरूलाई तपाईंदेखि भाग्‍न लगाउनुहोस् ।”

And it came to pass, when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Rise up, Lord, and let thy enemies be scattered; and let those that hate thee flee before thy face.

36 जब-जब सन्दूक रोकिन्थ्यो, मोशाले यसो भन्थे, “हे परमप्रभु, हजारौँ हजार इस्राएलतिर फर्कनुहोस् ।”

And when it rested, he said, Return, O Lord, among thy myriads of the thousands of Israel.
