गन्ती 1
1 सीनैको मरुभूमिमा भेट हुने पालमा परमप्रभु मोशासँग बोल्नुभयो । यो इस्राएलका मानिसहरू मिश्र देशबाट निस्की आएका दोस्रो वर्षको दोस्रो महिनाको पहिलो दिनमा भएको थियो । परमप्रभुले भन्नुभयो,
The Lord spoke to Moses in the Tent of Meeting while they were in the Sinai desert. This was on the first day of the second month of the second year after the Israelites had left Egypt. He told him,
2 “इस्राएलको हरेक कुलको सबै पुरुषहरूको तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूका परिवार-परिवारअनुसार जनगणना गर् । तिनीहरूका नाउँअनुसार गन् । हरेक पुरुषको गणना गर्,
“Census all the Israelites according to their tribe and family. Count every man and keep a record of each individual's name.
3 जो बिस वर्ष वा त्यसभन्दा माथिका छन् । इस्राएलको निम्ति सिपाहीको रूपमा लड्न सक्ने सबैलाई गन् । तैँले र हारूनले तिनीहरूका सशस्त्र समूह-समूहअनुसार पुरुषहरूको सङ्ख्याको अभिलेख राख्नुपर्छ ।
Those aged twenty or older who can do military service are to be registered by you and Aaron in their Israelite army divisions.
4 हरेक कुलको एक जना पुरुषले अर्थात् वंशको मुखियाले आफ्नो वंशको अगुवाको रूपमा तिमीहरूसँग सेवा गर्नुपर्छ ।
A representative from each tribe, the head of a family, must be there with you.
5 हरेक अगुवाले तिनको वंशको निम्ति लड्ने पुरुषहरूको नेतृत्व गर्नुपर्छ । तिमीहरूसँगै रहेर लड्ने अगुवाहरूका नाउँहरू यिनै हुन्ः रूबेनको कुलबाट शदेऊरको छोरो एलीसूर; शिमियोनको
These are the names of the men who will work with you: From the tribe of Reuben, Elizur, son of Shedeur;
6 कुलबाट सुरीशद्दैको छोरो शलूमीएल ।
from the tribe of Simeon, Shelumiel, son of Zurishaddai;
7 यहूदाको कुलबाट अम्मीनादाबको छोरो नहशोन;
from the tribe of Judah, Nahshon, son of Amminadab;
8 इस्साखारको कुलबाट सूआरको छोरो नतनेल;
from the tribe of Issachar, Nethanel, son of Zuar;
9 जबूलूनको कुलबाट हेलोनको छोरो एलीआब;
from the tribe of Zebulun, Eliab, son of Helon;
10 योसेफको छोरो एफ्राइमको कुलबाट अम्मीहूदको छोरो एलीशामा; मनश्शेको कुलबाट पदासूरको छोरो गमलिएल;
from the sons of Joseph: from the tribe of Ephraim, Elishama, son of Ammihud, and from the tribe of Manasseh, Gamaliel, son of Pedahzur;
11 बेन्यामीनको कुलबाट गिदेओनीको छोरो अबीदान;
from the tribe of Benjamin, Abidan, son of Gideoni;
12 दानको कुलबाट अम्मीसद्दैको छोरो अहिएजेर;
from the tribe of Dan, Ahiezer, son of Ammishaddai;
13 आशेरको कुलबाट ओक्रानको छोरो पगीएल;
from the tribe of Asher, Pagiel, son of Ocran;
14 गातको कुलबाट दूएलको छोरो एल्यासाप;
from the tribe of Gad, Eliasaph, son of Deuel;
15 नप्तालीको कुलबाट एनानको छोरो अहीरा ।”
and from the tribe of Naphtali, Ahira, son of Enan.”
16 मानिसहरूबाट चुनिएका पुरुषहरूका नाउँहरू यिनै थिए । तिनीहरूले आ-आफ्ना पुर्खाहरूका कुलको नेतृत्व गरे । तिनीहरू इस्राएलका कुलहरूका अगुवाहरू थिए ।
These were the men chosen from the Israelite community. They were the leaders of their fathers' tribes; the heads of the families of Israel.
17 नाउँअनुसार अभिलेख राखिएका यी पुरुषहरूलाई मोशा र हारूनले लिए, र
Moses and Aaron summoned these men who had been selected by name.
18 यी मानिसहरूसँगै एस्राएलका सबै मानिस दोस्रो महिनाको पहिलो दिनमा भेला भए ।
They had all the Israelites gather together on the first day of the second month, and recorded the people's genealogy according to their tribe and family, and counted up the names of all those aged twenty or older,
19 त्यसपछि बिस वर्ष र त्यसभन्दा माथिका सबै पुरुषले आ-आफ्ना पुर्ख्यौली पहिचान गरे । तिनीहरूले आफू जन्मिएको कुल र परिवारहरूको नाउँ उल्लेख गर्नुपर्थ्यो । त्यसपछि मोशाले सीनैको मरुभूमिमा परमप्रभुले आज्ञा गर्नुभएअनुसार तिनीहरूका सङ्ख्याहरूको अभिलेख राखे ।
as the Lord had told Moses to do. Moses conducted this census in the Sinai desert.
20 इस्राएलका जेठा छोरो रूबेनका सन्तानहरूबाट तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूका आ-आफ्ना कुलहरू र परिवारहरूका अभिलेखबाट लडाइँमा जान सक्ने बिस वर्ष वा त्यसभन्दा माथिका सबै पुरुषहरू गनिए ।
The descendants of Reuben, (he was Israel's firstborn son), men aged twenty or over, were recorded by name according to the genealogical records of their tribe and families. All those registered who could serve in the army
21 रूबनेको कुलबाट तिनीहरू ४६,५०० पुरुष थिए ।
from the tribe of Reuben totaled 46,500.
22 शिमियोनका सन्तानहरूबाट तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूका आ-आफ्ना कुलहरू र परिवारहरूका अभिलेखबाट लडाइँमा जान सक्ने बिस वर्ष वा त्यसभन्दा माथिका सबै पुरुषहरू गनिए ।

23 शिमियोनका कुलबाट तिनीहरू ५९,३०० पुरुष थिए ।
from the tribe of Simeon totaled 59,300.
24 गादका सन्तानहरूबाट तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूका आ-आफ्ना कुलहरू र परिवारहरूको अभिलेखबाट लडाइँमा जान सक्ने बिस वर्ष वा त्यसभन्दा माथिका सबै पुरुषहरू गनिए ।
The descendants of Gad, men aged twenty or over, were recorded by name according to the genealogical records of their tribe and families. All those registered who could serve in the army
25 गादको कुलबाट तिनीहरू ४५,६५० पुरुष थिए ।
from the tribe of Gad totaled 45,650.
26 यहूदाका सन्तानहरूबाट तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूका आ-आफ्ना कुलहरू र परिवारहरूको अभिलेखबाट लडाइँमा जान सक्ने बिस वर्ष वा त्यसभन्दा माथिका सबै पुरुषहरू गनिए ।

27 यहूदाको कुलबाट तिनीहरू ७४,६०० पुरुष थिए ।
from the tribe of Judah, totaled 74,600.
28 इस्साखारका सन्तानहरूबाट तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूका आ-आफ्ना कुलहरू र परिवारहरूको अभिलेखबाट लडाइँमा जान सक्ने बिस वर्ष वा त्यसभन्दा माथिका सबै पुरुषहरू गनिए ।
The descendants of Issachar, men aged twenty or older, were recorded by name according to the genealogical records of their tribe and families. All those registered who could serve in the army
29 इस्साखारको कुलबाट ५४,४०० पुरुष थिए ।
from the tribe of Issachar, totaled 54,400.
30 जबूलूनका सन्तानहरूबाट तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूका आ-आफ्ना कुलहरू र परिवारहरूको अभिलेखबाट लडाइँमा जान सक्ने बिस वर्ष वा त्यसभन्दा माथिका सबै पुरुषहरू गनिए ।
The descendants of Zebulun, men aged twenty or older, were recorded by name according to the genealogical records of their tribe and families. All those registered who could serve in the army
31 जबूलूनको कुलबाट तिनीहरू ५७,४०० पुरुष थिए ।
from the tribe of Zebulun, totaled 57,400.
32 योसेफका छोरा एफ्राइमका सन्तानहरूबाट तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूका आ-आफ्ना कुलहरू र परिवारहरूको अभिलेखबाट लडाइँमा जान सक्ने बिस वर्ष वा त्यसभन्दा माथिका सबै पुरुषहरू गनिए ।
The descendants of Joseph: the descendants of Ephraim, men aged twenty or older, were recorded by name according to the genealogical records of their tribe and families. All those registered who could serve in the army
33 एफ्राइमको कुलबाट तिनीहरू ४०,५०० पुरुष थिए ।
from the tribe of Ephraim, totaled 40,500.
34 मनश्शेका सन्तानहरूबाट तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूका आ-आफ्ना कुलहरू र परिवारहरूको अभिलेखबाट लडाइँमा जान सक्ने बिस वर्ष वा त्यसभन्दा माथिका सबै पुरुषहरू गनिए ।
And the descendants of Manasseh, men aged twenty or older, were recorded by name according to the genealogical records of their tribe and families. All those registered who could serve in the army
35 मनश्शेको कुलबाट तिनीहरू ३२,२०० पुरुष थिए ।
from the tribe of Manasseh, totaled 32,200.
36 बेन्यामीनका सन्तानहरूबाट तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूका आ-आफ्ना कुलहरू र परिवारहरूको अभिलेखबाट लडाइँमा जान सक्ने बिस वर्ष वा त्यसभन्दा माथिका सबै पुरुषहरू गनिए ।

37 बेन्यामीनको कुलबाट तिनीहरू ३५,४०० पुरुष थिए ।
from the tribe of Benjamin, totaled 35,400.
38 दानका सन्तानहरूबाट तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूका आ-आफ्ना कुलहरू र परिवारहरूको अभिलेखबाट लडाइँमा जान सक्ने बिस वर्ष वा त्यसभन्दा माथिका सबै पुरुषहरू गनिए ।
The descendants of Dan, men aged twenty or older, were recorded by name according to the genealogical records of their tribe and families. All those registered who could serve in the army
39 दानको कुलबाट तिनीहरू ६२,७०० पुरुष थिए ।
from the tribe of Dan, totaled 62,700.
40 आशेरका सन्तानहरूबाट तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूका आ-आफ्ना कुलहरू र परिवारहरूको अभिलेखबाट लडाइँमा जान सक्ने बिस वर्ष वा त्यसभन्दा माथिका सबै पुरुषहरू गनिए ।
The descendants of Asher, men aged twenty or older, were recorded by name according to the genealogical records of their tribe and families. All those registered who could serve in the army
41 आशेरको कुलबाट तिनीहरू ४१,५०० पुरुष थिए ।
from the tribe of Asher, totaled 41,500.
42 नप्तालीका सन्तानहरूबाट तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूका आ-आफ्ना कुलहरू र परिवारहरूको अभिलेखबाट लडाइँमा जान सक्ने बिस वर्ष वा त्यसभन्दा माथिका सबै पुरुषहरू गनिए ।
The descendants of Naphtali, men aged twenty or older, were recorded by name according to the genealogical records of their tribe and families. All those registered who could serve in the army
43 नप्तालीको कुलबाट तिनीहरू ५३,४०० पुरुष थिए ।
from the tribe of Naphtali, totaled 53,400.
44 मोशा र हारूनले यी पुरुषहरूलाई इस्राएलका बाह्र कुललाई नेतृत्व गर्ने बाह्र पुरुषसँगै गन्ती गरे ।
These were the totals of the men counted and registered by Moses and Aaron, with the help of the twelve leaders of Israel, who each represented their family.
45 यसैले लडाइँमा जान सक्ने बिस वर्ष र त्यसभन्दा माथिका इस्राएलका सबै पुरुषहरूको हरेकको आ-आफ्ना परिवार-परिवारअनुसार गन्ती गरियो ।
In this way all the Israelite men aged twenty or older who were able to serve in Israel's army were registered according to their families.
46 तिनीहरू ६,०३,५५० पुरुष थिए ।
The sum total of those registered was 603,550.
47 तर लेवीका सन्तानहरूको गन्ती
However, the Levites were not registered with the others according to their tribe and families.
48 गरिएन, किनभने परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्नुभयो,
This was because the Lord had told Moses,
49 “तैँले लेवीको कुललाई नगन्नू वा इस्राएलका कुल मानिसहरूमा नगाभ्नू ।
“Don't register the tribe of Levi; don't count them in the census with the other Israelites.
50 बरु, लेवीहरूलाई पवित्र वासस्थानको करारका विधिहरूको हेरचाह गर्न र पवित्र वासस्थानका सबै सरसामान र यसमा भएका सबै कुराको हेरचाह गर्न नियुक्त गर्नू ।
Put the Levites in charge of the Tabernacle and of the Testimony, as well as all its furniture and everything it contains. They are the ones responsible for carrying the Tabernacle and all its items. They are to care for it, and to make their camp around it.
51 पवित्र वासस्थान अर्को ठाउँमा सार्नुपर्दा यसलाई लेवीहरूले उठाउनुपर्छ । पवित्र वासस्थान खडा गर्नुपर्दा लेवीहरूले नै खडा गर्नुपर्छ । पवित्र वासस्थानको नजिक आउने कुनै पनि अपरिचित व्यक्तिलाई मार्नू ।
When it's time to move the Tabernacle, the Levites shall take it down, and when it's time to make camp, the Levites shall put it up. Any outsider who goes near it must be put to death.
52 इस्राएलका मानिसहरूले आ-आफ्ना पालहरू टाँग्दा हरेकले तिनीहरूका सशस्त्र समुहको झण्डाको नजिकै टाँग्नू ।
The Israelites are to make camp according to their tribal divisions, each person in their own camp under their own flag.
53 तथापि, लेवीहरूले तिनीहरूका पाल करारका विधिका पवित्र वासस्थान वरिपरि टाँग्नुपर्छ, ताकि इस्राएलका मानिसहरूमाथि मेरो रिस नपरोस् । लेवीहरूले करारका विधिहरूको पवित्र वासस्थानको हेरचाह गर्नुपर्छ ।
But the Levites are to set up their camp around the Tabernacle of the Testimony to stop anyone making me angry with the Israelites. The Levites are responsible for looking after the Tabernacle of the Testimony.”
54 इस्राएलका मानिसहरूले यी सबै कुरा गरे । परमप्रभुले मोशाद्वारा आज्ञा गर्नुभएको सबै थोक तिनीहरूले गरे ।
The Israelites did everything that the Lord ordered Moses that they should do.
