मत्ती 22
1 तिनीहरूसँग यसो भन्दै येशू दृष्टान्तमा बोल्नुभयो,
Once more Jesus answered them in parables.
2 “स्वर्गको राज्य एउटा यस्तो राजाजस्तो हो, जसले आफ्नो छोराको निम्ति विवाह भोजको तयारी गरे ।
"The kingdom of heaven," he said, "may be compared to a king who made a wedding-feast for his son.
3 उनले भोजमा आउनको निम्ति निम्त्याइएकाहरूलाई बोलाउन आफ्ना नोकरहरू पठाए, तर तिनीहरू आउन मानेनन् ।
"He sent out his slaves to summon the invited guests to the feast, but they did not want to come.
4 फेरि राजाले यसो भन्दै आफ्ना अरू नोकरहरू पठाए, ‘ती निम्त्याइएकाहरूलाई यसो भन्नू, ‘मैले मेरो भोज तयार पारेको छु । मेरा गोरुहरू र मोटा पशुहरू मारिएका छन्, र सबै कुरा तयार छन् । विवाहको भोजमा आओ ।’
"Again he sent out other slaves. ‘Tell the invited guests,’ he said,’that my luncheon is now ready; my oxen and fat cattle are killed; everything is ready; come to the wedding-feast.’
5 तर तिनीहरूले केही वास्ता नै गरेनन्, र एउटा आफ्नो खेतबारी, र अर्को आफ्नो व्यवसायतिर लाग्यो ।
"They, however, paid no attention, but went off, one to his own farm, another to his business;
6 अरूहरूले चाहिँ राजाका नोकरहरूलाई पक्रे; तिनीहरूसँग लाजमर्दो व्यवहार गरे, र तिनीहरूलाई मारे ।
"while the rest seized his slaves and maltreated and murdered them.
7 तर राजा रिसाए । उनले आफ्ना सेनाहरू पठाए; ती हत्याराहरूलाई मारे, र तिनीहरूको सहर जलाइदिए ।
"Then the king’s wrath was roused, and he sent his troops and destroyed those murderers, and burned their city.
8 त्यसपछि उनले आफ्ना नोकरहरूलाई भने, ‘विवाहको निम्ति सबै तयार छन्, तर जसलाई निम्त्याइएको थियो तिनीहरू योग्यका थिएनन् ।
"Then he said to his slaves, "‘The wedding-feast indeed is ready, but the invited guests were not worthy.
9 त्यसैले, तिमीहरू सडकहरूमा जाओ र तिमीहरूले सक्ने जति सबै मानिसलाई विवाह भोजमा सहभागी हुन बोलाओ ।’
"‘So go out into the partings of the highways, and summon everybody you find there to the wedding-feast.’
10 ती नोकरहरू सडकहरूमा गए र तिनीहरूले भेट्टाए जति असल र खराब दुवै थरीका मानिसलाई एकसाथ भेला गरे । त्यसैले, विवाहको घर पाहुनाहरूले भरियो ।
"So those slaves went out into the roads, and gathered together all whom they found, good or bad, and the banquet-hall was filled with the guests.
11 तर जब राजा पाहुनाहरूलाई हेर्न भनी भित्र आए, त्यहाँ एक जना मानिस विवाहको पोशाक नलगाईकन भोजमा आएको उनले देखे ।
"Then the king came in to inspect his guests, and he discovered there a man who had not put on a wedding-garment. He said to him,
12 राजाले उसलाई भने, ‘मित्र, विवाहको पोशाक नलगाईकन तिमी यहाँ भित्र कसरी आयौ?’ अनि त्यस व्यक्तिले केही बोल्न सकेन ।
"‘Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding-garment?’ "The man was speechless.
13 त्यसपछि राजाले आफ्ना नोकरहरूलाई भने, ‘यस मानिसका हात र खुट्टा बाँध, र यसलाई बाहिरी अन्धकारमा फालिदेओ, जहाँ रुवाबासी र दाह्रा किटाइ हुनेछ ।’
"‘Bind him hand and foot, ‘said the king to his officers, ‘and cast him into the outer darkness; there will be the wailing and the gnashing of teeth.’
14 किनकि बोलाइएकहरू धेरै छन्, तर चुनिएकाहरू थोरै छन् ।”
"For there are many called, but few are chosen."
15 त्यसपछि फरिसीहरू त्यहाँबाट गए, र येशूले भन्नुभएको कुरामा उहाँलाई नै कसरी जालमा पार्ने भन्ने बारेमा योजना बनाए ।
Then the Pharisees went and took counsel how they might ensnare him during conversation.
16 त्यसपछि तिनीहरूले आफ्ना चेलाहरू र हेरोदी दलका केही मानिसहरूलाई उहाँकहाँ पठाए । तिनीहरूले येशूलाई भने, “गुरुज्यू, हामीलाई थाहा छ, कि तपाईं सत्य हुनुहुन्छ, र तपाईंले परमेश्वरको मार्गलाई सत्यतामा सिकाउनुहुन्छ । तपाईं कसले के सोच्छ भन्ने कुरालाई वास्ता गर्नुहुन्न, र मानिसहरूका बिचमा तपाईंले पक्षपात गर्नुहुन्न ।
So they sent their disciples to him, with the Herodians. "Teacher," they said, "we know that you are honest, and that you are teaching the way of God in sincerity; and are not afraid of any one, for you do not court men’s favor.
17 त्यसैले, हामीलाई भन्नुहोस्, कि तपाईं के भन्नुहुन्छ? कैसरलाई कर तिर्नु उचित हो कि होइन?”
"Give us your advice, then. Is it allowable to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?"
18 तर येशूले तिनीहरूको दुष्टता थाहा पाउनुभयो, र भन्नुभयो, “पाखण्डी हो, “तिमीहरू मलाई किन जाँच्दछौ?
And Jesus, because he knew their malice, said.
19 कर तिर्ने सिक्का मलाई देखाओ ।” त्यसपछि तिनीहरूले उहाँकहाँ एक दिनार ल्याए ।
"Hypocrites! Why are you tempting me? Show me the tribute money." So they brought him a shilling.
20 येशूले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “यी कसका नाम र छाप हुन्?”
"Whose likeness and inscription is this?" he asked.
21 तिनीहरूले उहाँलाई भने, “कैसरको ।” त्यसपछि येशूले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “त्यसो भए, जे कैसरका हुन्, ती कैसरलाई देओ, र जे परमेश्वरका हुन्, ती परमेश्वरलाई देओ ।”
"Caesar’s," they answered. Then he said to them, "Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and unto God the things that are God’s."
22 जब तिनीहरूले यो सुने, तिनीहरू छक्क परे । त्यसपछि तिनीहरू उहाँबाट अलग्गिएर त्यहाँबाट गए ।
When they heard this they were astonished, and left him and went away.
23 त्यही दिनमा केही सदुकीहरू उहाँकहाँ आए, जसले पुनरुत्थान हुँदैन भनेर भन्दथे । तिनीहरूले उहाँलाई सोधे,
That very day there came to him some Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection. and they questioned him.
24 “गुरुज्यू, मोशाले भनेका थिए, ‘यदि कुनै पुरुष बालक नजन्माईकन मर्यो भने, उसको भाइले त्यसकी पत्नीलाई विवाह गर्नुपर्छ र आफ्ना दाजुको निम्ति सन्तान जन्माउनुपर्छ ।
"Master," they said, "Moses taught that if a man dies without issue, his brother is to marry the widow, and raise up a family for his brother.
25 तिनीहरू सात जना दाजुभाइ थिए । पहिलोले विवाह गर्यो । कुनै पनि सन्तान नभईकन उसले आफ्नी पत्नी आफ्नो भाइलाई छोड्यो ।
"Now there were of our number seven brothers; and the first married and died. As he had no children, he left his wife to his brother;
26 त्यसपछि दोस्रो भाइले त्यस्तै गर्यो, त्यसपछि तेस्रोले, र सातौँ भाइसम्म यस्तै हुँदै गयो ।
"In the same way the second also died, and the third, unto the seventh.
27 तिनीहरू सबै मरेपछि त्यो स्त्री पनि मरी ।
"Last of all the woman died.
28 अब पुनरुत्थानमा ती सात दाजुभाइमध्ये त्यो स्त्री कुन चाहिँको पत्नी हुन्छे? किनकि तिनीहरू सबैले ऊसँग विवाह गरिसकेका छन् ।”
"In the resurrection, then, whose wife will she be? They all had her."
29 तर येशूले तिनीहरूलाई जवाफ दिनुभयो र भन्नुभयो, “तिमीहरू भुलमा परेका छौ, किनभने तिमीहरू धर्मशास्त्र वा परमेश्वरको शक्तिलाई जान्दैनौ ।
In answer Jesus said. "You err because you do not know the Scriptures, nor the power of God.
30 किनकि पुनरुत्थानमा तिनीहरू न त विवाह गर्दछन्, न त तिनीहरूलाई विवाहको निम्ति दिइन्छ । बरु, तिनीहरू स्वर्गमा हुने दूतहरूजस्तै हुन्छन् ।
"For in the resurrection men do not marry, nor are women given in marriage, but they are like angels in heaven.
31 तर मृतकहरूको पुनरुत्थानको बारेमा परमेश्वरद्वारा यसरी तिमीहरूलाई भनिएको के तिमीहरूले पढेका छैनौ,
"But concerning the resurrection of the dead, did you never read what was spoken to you by God,
32 ‘म अब्राहामका परमेश्वर, इसहाकका परमेश्वर र याकूबका परमेश्वर हुँ?’ परमेश्वर मृतकहरूको परमेश्वर हुनुहुन्न, तर उहाँ जीवितहरूका परमेश्वर हुनुहुन्छ ।”
"I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living."
33 जब भिडले यो सुन्यो, तिनीहरू उहाँको शिक्षामा छक्क परे ।
And when the crowds heard it, they were astonished at his teaching.
34 तर येशूले सदुकीहरूलाई चुप पार्नुभएको जब फरिसीहरूले सुने, तिनीहरू भेला भए ।
As soon as the Pharisees heard that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered themselves together,
35 तिनीहरूमध्येका एक जना व्यवस्थाका गुरुले उहाँको जाँच गर्दै एउटा प्रश्न सोधे,
and one of them, a lawyer, tested him by asking a question.
36 “गुरुज्यू, व्यवस्थामा सबैभन्दा महान् आज्ञाचाहिँ कुन हो?”
"Master, which is the great commandment in the law?"
37 येशूले उनलाई भन्नुभयो, “तैँले परमप्रभु आफ्ना परमेश्वरलाई आफ्नो सारा हृदयले, आफ्नो सारा प्राणले र आफ्नो सारा समझले प्रेम गर्नू ।
Jesus answered, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 योचाहिँ पहिलो र महान् आज्ञा हो ।
"This is the great and first commandment.
39 अनि दोस्रो आज्ञा पनि यस्तै छ– ‘तैँले आफ्नो छिमेकीलाई आफैँलाई झैँ प्रेम गर्नू ।’
"The second, which is like it, is this, "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
40 सारा व्यवस्था र अगमवक्ताहरू यी दुईवटा आज्ञामाथि आधारित छन् ।”
"On those two commandments hang the whole law and the prophets."
41 फरिसीहरू एकै ठाउँमा जम्मा भएको बेलामा येशूले तिनीहरूलाई एउटा प्रश्न सोध्नुभयो ।
Now while the Pharisees were together, Jesus put this question to them.
42 उहाँले भन्नुभयो, “तिमीहरू ख्रीष्टको बारेमा के विचार गर्दछौ? ख्रीष्ट कसका पुत्र हुन्?” तिनीहरूले उहाँलाई भने, “दाऊदका पुत्र ।”
"What is your opinion concerning the Christ? Whose Son is he?" "David’s," they answered.
43 येशूले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “त्यसो भए, दाऊद पवित्र आत्माले भरिँदा तिनले किन उहाँलाई यसरी प्रभु भनी पुकारे,
"How then, "he said, "does David in the Spirit call him Lord, saying,
44 ‘परमप्रभुले मेरा प्रभुलाई भन्नुभयो, “जबसम्म मैले तिम्रा शत्रुहरूलाई तिम्रो पाउदान बनाउँदिन, तबसम्म तिमी मेरो दाहिने हातपट्टि बस ।’?”
"The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand Until I put thine enemies beneath thy feet?
45 यदि दाऊदले ख्रीष्टलाई ‘प्रभु’ भन्दछन् भने, उनी कसरी दाऊदका पुत्र हुन सक्छन् त?”
"If David calls him Lord, how can he be his Son?"
46 तिनीहरू कसैले पनि जवाफमा एउटा शब्द पनि बोल्न सकेन, र त्यस दिनपछि उहाँलाई कसैले पनि अरू प्रश्नहरू सोध्ने साहस गरेन ।
No one could answer him a word, nor did any one dare from that day to ask him another question.
