लुका 3
1 कैसर तिबेरियसको पन्ध्रौँ वर्षमा, जति बेला पन्तियस पिलातस यहूदियाका शासक थिए, हेरोद गालीलका शासक र उनका भाइ फिलिप इतुरिया र त्राखोनितिसका शासक थिए । लुसानियास अबिलेनेका शासक थिए ।
Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Cesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of Iturea and of the region of Trachonitis, and Lysanius the tetrarch of Abilene,
2 हन्नास र कैयाफा प्रधान पुजारी भएको समयमा, जकरियाका छोरा यूहन्नाकहाँ उजाड-स्थानमा परमेश्वरको वचन आयो ।
Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came to John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.
3 उनले पाप क्षमाका निम्ति बप्तिस्माको प्रचार गर्दै यर्दन नदी वरपरिका क्षेत्रहरूमा प्रचार गर्दै हिँडे ।
And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance, for the remission of sins;
4 जसरी यशैया अगमवक्ताको पुस्तकमा लेखिएको छ, “उजाड-स्थानमा कसैको आवाजले बोलाइरहेको छ, प्रभुको मार्ग तयार पार, उहाँका मार्गहरू सोझो बनाऊ ।
As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
5 हरेक उपत्यका बनाइनेछ, हरेक पहाड र डाँडाहरू समतल पारिनेछ, बाङ्गा बाटाहरू सोझो हुन आउनेछन् र नराम्रा बाटोहरू राम्रा बनाइनेछन् ।
Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways [shall be] made smooth;
6 सबै मानिसहरूले परमेश्वरको उद्धारलाई देख्नेछन् ।”
And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.
7 यसकारण, यूहन्नाले उनीकहाँ बप्तिस्मा लिन आइरहेको ठुलो भिडलाई भने, “हे विषालु सर्पका सन्तान हो, कसले तिमीहरूलाई परमेश्वरको आउँदै गरेको क्रोधबाट भाग्नलाई चेताउनी दियो?
Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized by him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
8 पश्चात्ताप योग्यको फल फलाओ र आफ्नो मनमा हाम्रा पिता त अब्राहाम हुन् भन्न छोड, किनभने परमेश्वरले यी चट्टानहरूबाट पनि अब्राहामको निम्ति सन्तान खडा गर्न सक्नुहुन्छ ।
Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham for [our] father: for I say to you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children to Abraham.
9 रुखहरूको जरामा बन्चरो परिसकेको छ । त्यसैले, असल फल नफलाउने हरेक रुख काटिनेछ र आगोमा फालिनेछ ।”
And now also the ax is laid to the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit, is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
10 तब भिडबाट मानिसहरूले यसो भन्दै सोधे, “त्यसो भए हामीले के गर्ने त?”
And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then?
11 उनले तिनीहरूलाई जवाफ दिए, “दुई जोर दौरा हुनेले नहुनेलाई दिओस् । त्यसै गरी, जससँग खानेकुरा छ, त्यसले नहुनेलाई दिओस् ।”
He answereth and saith to them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath provisions, let him do likewise.
12 त्यसपछि केही कर उठाउनेहरू पनि उनीकहाँ बप्तिस्मा लिन आए र भने, “गुरु, हामीले के गर्ने नि?”
Then came also publicans to be baptized, and said to him, Master, what shall we do?
13 उनले तिनीहरूलाई जवाफ दिए, “तिमीहरूले उठाउनुपर्ने भन्दा बढी पैसा नउठाउनू ।”
And he said to them, Exact no more than that which is appointed you.
14 केही सिपाहीहरू पनि आएर सोधे, “हाम्रो बारेमा नि? हामीले के गर्ने?” उनले तिनीहरूलाई भने, “तिमीहरूले अरूहरूबाट जबरजस्ती पैसा नलेओ र कसैलाई पनि झुटो दोष नलगाओ, तर आफ्ना तलबमा नै सन्तुष्ट होओ ।”
And the soldiers likewise asked him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said to them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse [any] falsely, and be content with your wages.
15 तब मानिसहरूले ख्रीष्ट आउनुहुन्छ भनेर उत्सुकतासाथ प्रतीक्षा गरिरहेका थिए, कतै यूहन्ना नै पो ख्रीष्ट हुन् कि भनेर हरेकको मनमा दोधार भइरहेको थियो ।
And as the people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts concerning John, whether he was the Christ, or not;
16 यूहन्नाले तिनीहरू सबैलाई जवाफ दिए, “म तिमीहरूलाई पानीले बप्तिस्मा दिन्छु, तर मभन्दा अर्का शक्तिशाली व्यक्ति आउनुहुन्छ, जसको जुत्ताको फित्ता फुकाल्न पनि म योग्यको छैनँ । उहाँले तिमीहरूलाई पवित्र आत्मा र आगोले बप्तिस्मा दिनुहुनेछ ।
John answered, saying to [them] all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit, and with fire:
17 उहाँको खला सफा गर्न र अन्नलाई भण्डारमा जम्मा गर्नलाई उहाँको हातमा निफन्ने नाङ्लो छ । तर उहाँले भुसलाई चाहिँ कहिल्यै ननिभ्ने आगोमा जलाउनुहुनेछ ।
Whose fan [is] in his hand, and he will thoroughly cleanse his floor, and will gather the wheat into his granary; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable.
18 उहाँले मानिसहरूलाई अझ धेरै उत्साह दिँदै सुसमाचार प्रचार गर्नुभयो ।
And many other things in his exhortation he preached to the people.
19 यूहन्नाले हेरोदलाई उनका भाइकी पत्नी हेरोदियासलाई विवाह गरेको साथै उनले गरेको अन्य खराबीहरूका निम्ति पनि हप्काए ।
But Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him on account of Herodias, his brother Philip's wife, and for all the evils which Herod had done,
20 तर हेरोदले अझ बढी दुष्ट काम गरे । किनभने उनले यूहन्नालाई जेलमा हालेका थिए ।
Added yet this above all, that he shut up John in prison.
21 यूहन्नाले मानिसहरूलाई बप्तिस्मा दिँदै गर्दा, येशूलाई पनि बप्तिस्मा दिइयो । जब उहाँले प्रार्थना गर्दै हुनुहुन्थ्यो, तब स्वर्ग खुल्यो ।
Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened,
22 पवित्र आत्मा उहाँमाथि ढुकुरजस्तै ओर्लनुभयो । त्यसै बेला स्वर्गबाट यस्तो आवाज आयो, “तिमी मेरा प्रिय पुत्र हौ, म तिमीसँग प्रसन्न छु ।”
And the Holy Spirit descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.
23 येशूले आफैँ सिकाउन सुरु गर्नुहुँदा उहाँ तिस वर्षको हुनुहुन्थ्यो । उहाँ योसेफका छोरा (जस्तो सोचिएको थियो) हुनुहुन्थ्यो, योसेफ एलीका छोरा थिए ।
And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, who was [the son] of Heli,
24 मत्तातका छोरा एली, लेवीका छोरा मत्तात, मल्कीका छोरा लेवी, यान्नाका छोरा मल्की, योसेफका छोरा यान्ना,
Who was [the son] of Matthat, who was [the son] of Levi, who was [the son] of Melchi, who was [the son] of Janna, who was [the son] of Joseph,
25 मत्ताथियासका छोरा योसेफ, आमोसका छोरा मत्ताथियास, नहूमका छोरा आमोस, इसलीका छोरा नहूम र इसली नग्गैका छोरा थिए,
Who was [the son] of Mattathias, who was [the son] of Amos, who was [the son] of Naum, who was [the son] of Esli, who was [the son] of Nagge,
26 माथका छोरा नग्गै, मत्ताथियासका छोरा, माथ मत्ताथियासका छोरा, सेमैनका छोरा मत्ताथियास, योसेखका छोरा सेमैन, योदाका छोरा योसेख थिए,
Who was [the son] of Maath, who was [the son] of Mattathias, who was [the son] of Semei, who was [the son] of Joseph, who was [the son] of Juda,
27 योआनानका छोरा योदा, रेसाका छोरा योआनान, यरुबाबेलका छोरा रेसा, शालतिएलका छोरा यरुबाबेल, नेरीका छोरा शालतिएल,
Who was [the son] of Joanna, who was [the son] of Rhesa, who was [the son] of Zorobabel, who was [the son] of Salathiel, who was [the son] of Neri,
28 मल्कीका छोरा नेरी, अद्दीका छोरा मल्की, कोसामका छोरा अद्दी, एलमादमका छोरा कोसाम, एर्का छोरा एलमादम थिए,
Who was [the son] of Melchi, who was [the son] of Addi, who was [the son] of Cosam, who was [the son] of Elmodam, who was [the son] of Er,
29 यहोशूका छोरा एर्, एलिएजरका यहोशू, योरीमका छोरा एलिएजर, मत्तातका छोरा योरीम, लेवीका छोरा मत्तात थिए,
Who was [the son] of Jose, who was [the son] of Eliezer, who was [the son] of Jorim, who was [the son] of Matthat, who was [the son] of Levi,
30 शिमियोनका छोरा लेवी, यहूदाका छोरा शिमियोन, योसेफका छोरा यहूदा, योनानका छोरा योसेफ, एल्याकीमका छोरा योनान,
Who was [the son] of Simeon, who was [the son] of Judah, who was [the son] of Joseph, who was [the son] of Jonan, who was [the son] of Eliakim,
31 मलेआका छोरा एल्याकीम, मिन्नाका छोरा मलेआ, मत्ताथाका छोरा मिन्ना, नातानका छोरा मत्ताथा, दाऊदका छोरा नातान,
Who was [the son] of Melea, who was [the son] of Menan, who was [the son] of Mattatha, who was [the son] of Nathan, who was [the son] of David,
32 यिशैका छोरा दाऊद, ओबेदका छोरा यिशै, बोअजका छोरा ओबेद, सल्मोनका छोरा बोअज, नहशोनका छोरा सल्मोन,
Who was [the son] of Jesse, who was [the son] of Obed, who was [the son] of Booz, who was [the son] of Salmon, who was [the son] of Naasson,
33 अम्मीनादाबका छोरा नहशोन, आरामका छोरा अम्मीनादाब, हेस्रोनका छोरा आराम, फारेसका छोरा हेस्रोन, यहूदाका छोरा फारेस,
Who was [the son] of Aminadab, who was [the son] of Aram, who was [the son] of Esrom, who was [the son] of Phares, who was [the son] of Judah,
34 याकूबका छोरा यहूदा, इसहाकका छोरा याकूब, अब्राहामका छोरा इसहाक, तेरहका छोरा अब्राहाम, नाहोरका छोरा तेरह,
Who was [the son] of Jacob, who was [the son] of Isaac, who was [the son] of Abraham, who was [the son] of Terah, who was [the son] of Nahor,
35 सरूगका छोरा नाहोर रऊका छोरा सरूग, पेलेगका छोरा रऊ, एबेरका छोरा पेलेग, शेलहका छोरा एबेर,
Who was [the son] of Serug, who was [the son] of Reu, who was [the son] of Peleg, who was [the son] of Heber, who was [the son] of Sala,
36 केनानका छोरा शेलह, अर्पक्षदका छोरा केनान, शेमका छोरा अर्पक्षद, नोआका छोरा शेम, लेमेखका छोरा नोआ,
Who was [the son] of Cainan, who was [the son] of Arphaxad, who was [the son] of Shem, who was [the son] of Noah, who was [the son] of Lamech,
37 मतूशेलहका छोरा लेमेख, हनोकका छोरा मतूशेलह, येरेदका छोरा हनोक, महलालेलका छोरा येरेद, केनानका छोरा महलालेल,
Who was [the son] of Methuselah, who was [the son] of Enoch, who was [the son] of Jared, who was [the son] of Maleleel, who was [the son] of Cainan,
38 एनोशका छोरा केनान, शेतका छोरा एनोश, आदमका छोरा शेत आदम परमेश्वरका छोरा थिए ।
Who was [the son] of Enos, who was [the son] of Seth, who was [the son] of Adam, who was [the son] of God.
