लुका 2
1 ती दिनहरूमा रोमी साम्राज्यभित्र बस्ने सबै जनाको जनगणना गर्नू भनी कैसर अगस्टसले उर्दी जारी गरे ।
And it chaunced in thoose dayes: yt ther went oute a comaundment from Auguste the Emperour that all the woorlde shuld be taxed.
2 कुरेनियस सिरियाका हाकिम हुँदाको यो पहिलो जनगणना थियो ।
And this taxynge was ye fyrst and executed when Syrenius was leftenaut in Syria.
3 त्यसैले, सबै जना आ-आफ्ना गाउँमा जनगणनाका लागि नाउँ दर्ता गर्न गए ।
And every man went vnto his awne citie to be taxed.
4 योसेफ पनि गालीलको नासरतबाट यहूदियाको बेथलेहेममा गए, जुन ठाउँ दाऊदको सहरको नामले चिनिन्थ्यो, किनभने उनी दाऊदको वंशका थिए ।
And Ioseph also ascended from Galile oute of a cite called Nazareth into Iurie: vnto ye cite of David which is called Bethleem because he was of the housse and linage of David
5 उनी मरियमसँगै दर्ता गर्न त्यहाँ गएका थिए, जससँग उनको मगनी भएको थियो र तिनले एउटा बालकको आशा गरेका थिए ।
to be taxed with Mary his spoused wyfe which was with chylde.
6 तिनीहरू त्यहीँ छँदा मरियमको बालक जन्माउने समय आयो ।
And it fortuned whyll they were there her tyme was come that she shuld be delyvered.
7 उनले आफ्नो पहिलो छोरा जन्माइन्, र कपडाले बेह्रिन् अनि जनावरहरूले खाने ठाउँमा राखिन् । किनभने तिनीहरूका निम्ति धर्मशालामा कुनै ठाउँ थिएन ।
And she brought forth her fyrst begotten sonne and wrapped him in swadlynge cloothes and layed him in a manger because ther was no roume for them within in the ynne.
8 त्यस इलाकाको चौरमा राती आ-आफ्ना भेडाका रखवाली गर्दै गोठालाहरू बसिरहेका थिए ।
And ther were in the same region shepherdes abydinge in the felde and watching their flocke by nyght.
9 एक्कासि, तिनीहरूकहाँ परमप्रभुका एउटा दूत देखा परे, र तिनीहरूका वरिपरि परमप्रभुको महिमा चम्किरहेको थियो, र तिनीहरू साह्रै भयभीत भए ।
And loo: the angell of ye lorde stode harde by the and the brightnes of ye lorde shone rounde aboute them and they were soare afrayed.
10 तब स्वर्गदूतले तिनीहरूलाई भने, “नडराऊ, किनभने आज म तिमीहरूलाई बडो आनन्दको सुसमाचार घोषणा गर्छु, जसले सबै मानिसहरूलाई ठुलो आनन्द दिनेछ ।
But the angell sayd vnto them: Be not afrayed. For beholde I bringe you tydinges of greate ioye yt shal come to all ye people:
11 आज तिमीहरूका निम्ति दाऊदको सहरमा एउटा मुक्तिदाताको जन्म भएको छ । उहाँ ख्रीष्ट प्रभु हुनुहुन्छ ।
for vnto you is borne this daye in the cite of David a saveoure which is Christ ye lorde.
12 तिमीहरूलाई चिह्नचाहिँ यो दिइएको छ, कि तिमीहरूले बालकलाई कपडाले बेह्रेरेर जनावरहरूलाई खुवाउने डुँडमा सुताइरहेको भेट्टाउनेछौ ।”
And take this for a signe: ye hall fynde ye chylde swadled and layed in a mager.
13 एक्कासि ती स्वर्गदूतसँग स्वर्गीय सेनाको एउटा ठुलो दल देखा पर्यो र तिनीहरूले यसो भन्दै परमेश्वरको प्रंशसा गरे ।
And streight waye ther was with the angell a multitude of hevenly sowdiers laudynge God and sayinge:
14 “सर्वोच्चमा परमेश्वरलाई महिमा र पृथ्वीमा जुन मानिसहरूसँग उहाँ प्रसन्न हुनुहुन्छ, तिनीहरूलाई शान्ति ।”
Glory to God an hye and peace on the erth: and vnto men reioysynge.
15 जब परमप्रभुका स्वर्गदूतहरू स्वर्ग फर्के, तब गोठालाहरूले एक-अर्कालाई भने, “परमप्रभुबाट हामीलाई प्रकट गरिएको र घटेको यस घटनालाई बताउन बेथलेहेममा जाऊँ र हेरौँ ।”
And it fortuned assone as the angels were gone awaye fro them in to heven the shepherdes sayd one to another: let vs goo eve vnto Bethleem and se this thynge that is hapened which the Lorde hath shewed vnto vs.
16 तब तिनीहरू हतार-हतार गर्दै त्यहाँ गए, अनि योसेफ र मरियमलाई भेटे । तिनीहरूले बालकलाई दाना खुवाउने डुँडमा सुताइरहेको देखे ।
And they cam with haste and founde Mary and Ioseph and the babe layde in a mager.
17 तिनीहरूले यसलाई देखे पछि, बालकको बारेमा बताइएका सबै कुरा मानिसहरूलाई बताए ।
And when they had sene it they publisshed a brode the sayinge which was tolde them of that chylde.
18 गोठालाहरूद्वारा भनिएका कुरा सुन्नेहरू जति सबै जना आश्चर्य चकित भए ।
And all that hearde it wondred at those thinges which were tolde the of the shepherdes.
19 तर मरियमले सुनेका सबै कुराहरूको बारेमा सोच्दै गरिन् र उनले आफ्नो मनमै राखिन् ।
But Mary kept all thoose sayinges and pondered them in hyr hert.
20 तिनीहरूलाई भनेअनुसार सुनेका र देखेका हरेक कुराका निम्ति परमेश्वरलाई महिमा दिँदै र प्रशंसा गर्दै फर्के ।
And the shepherdes retourned praysinge and laudinge God for all that they had herde and sene evyn as it was told vnto them.
21 जब आठौँ दिन भयो, तब बालकको खतना गर्ने समय भयो । तिनीहरूले उहाँको नाउँ येशू राखे, जुन नाउँ स्वर्गदूतद्वारा उहाँ गर्भधारण हुनुभन्दा अगि दिइएको थियो ।
And when ye eyght daye was come yt the chylde shuld be circucised his name was called Iesus which was named of the angell before he was conceaved in the wombe.
22 मोशाको व्यवस्थाअनुसार तोकिएका शुद्धिकरणका दिनहरू सकिएपछि, योसेफ र मरियमले सानो बालकलाई परमप्रभुको उपस्थितिमा यरूशलेममा ल्याए ।
And when the tyme of their purificacio (after the lawe of Moyses) was come they brought him to Hierusalem to present hym to ye Lorde
23 परमप्रभुको व्यवस्थामा लेखिएझैँ “पहिलो जन्मेको प्रत्येक पुरुष परमप्रभुमा अर्पण गर्नुपर्थ्यो ।”
(as yt is written in the lawe of the Lorde: every man that fyrst openeth the matrix shalbe called holy to the Lorde)
24 तिनीहरूले परमप्रभुको व्यवस्थामा भनेअनुसार “एक जोडी ढुकुर र दुईवटा परेवा बलिदान चढाउन लिएर आए ।”
and to offer (as it ys sayde in the lawe of the Lorde) a payre of turtle doves or two yonge pigions.
25 हेर, यरूशलेममा एक जना सिमियोन नाउँ गरेका व्यक्ति थिए । उनी धर्मी र ईश्वरभक्त मानिस थिए । उनले इस्राएलका सान्त्वना दाताको प्रतीक्षा गरिराखेका थिए र पवित्र आत्मा उनीमाथि हुनुहुन्थ्यो ।
And beholde ther was a ma in Hierusalem whose name was Simeon. And the same ma was iuste and feared God and longed for the consolacion of Israel and the holy goost was in him.
26 पवित्र आत्माद्वारा उनलाई यो प्रकट गराइएको थियो कि परमप्रभुका ख्रीष्टलाई नदेखेसम्म उनको मृत्यु हुनेछैन ।
And an answer was geven him of the holy goost that he shulde not se deethe before he had sene the lordes Christ.
27 एक दिन तिनी मन्दिरमा पवित्र आत्माको अगुवाइमा आए । व्यवस्थाले जे माग गरेको थियो, त्यो पुरा गर्न आमाबुबाद्वारा बालक येशूलाई मन्दिरमा ल्याइयो ।
And he came by inspiracion into the temple. And when the father and mother brought in the chylde Iesus to do for him after the custome of the lawe
28 त्यसपछि शिमियोनले बालक येशूलाई काखमा लिएर परमेश्वरको प्रशंसा गर्दै भने,
then toke he him vp in his armes and sayde.
29 “तपाईंको वचनअनुसार, अब हे परमप्रभु, आफ्ना दासलाई शान्तिसँग बिदा दिनुहोस् ।
Lorde Now lettest thou thy seruaut departe in peace accordinge to thy promes.
30 किनभने मेरा आँखाले तपाईंको उद्धारलाई देखेका छन्,
For myne eyes have sene ye saveour sent fro ye
31 जुन तपाईंले सबै मानिसहरूको दृष्टिमा तयार गर्नुभएको छ ।
Wich thou hast prepared before the face of all people.
32 तपाईंका जन इस्राएलीहरूका महिमा र अन्यजातिहरूलाई प्रकाश दिने ज्योति हुनुहुन्छ ।”
A light to lighten the gentyls and the glory of thy people Israel.
33 बालकका बुबाआमा बालकका विषयमा भनिएका कुरामा अचम्मित भए ।
And his father and mother mervelled at those thinges which were spoke of him.
34 त्यसपछि शिमियोनले तिनीहरूलाई आशीर्वाद दिए र उहाँकी आमा मरियमलाई भने, “होसियारीसँग सुन, यो बालक इस्राएलमा धेरैको उत्थान र पतनका निम्ति र धेरैको विरुद्धमा बोलिने चिह्नको निम्ति नियुक्त गरिएको छ ।
And Simeon blessed them and sayde vnto Mary his mother: beholde this chyld shalbe the fall and resurreccio of many in Israel and a signe which shalbe spoke agaynste.
35 साथै तरवारले तिम्रो आफ्नै प्राण छेड्नेछ, ताकि धेरैका हृदयका विचारहरू प्रकट होऊन् ।”
And morover the swearde shall pearce thy soule yt the thoughtes of many hertes maye be opened.
36 एक जना हन्ना नामकी अगमवादिनी पनि त्यहाँ थिइन् । उनी आशेर कुलकी फनुएलकी छोरी थिइन् । उनी धेरै वृद्ध भइसकेकी थिइन् । विवाहपछि उनी जम्मा सात वर्ष आफ्ना पतिसँग बसेकी थिइन् ।
And ther was a Prophetesse one Anna the doughter of Phanuel of the tribe of Aser: which was of a greate age and had lyved with an husbande. vii. yeres from her virginite.
37 त्यसपछि उनी चौरासी वर्ष विधवा नै रहिन् । उनले मन्दिर कहिल्यै नछोडी निरन्तर दिनरात प्रार्थना र उपवास गर्दै परमेश्वरको आराधना गर्दै रहिन् ।
And she had bene a wedowe aboute. iiii. scoore and. iiii. yere which went never oute of the temple but served God with fastinge and prayer nyght and daye.
38 त्यही समयमा उनी त्यहाँ आइन् र परमेश्वरलाई धन्यवाद चढाउन थालिन् । यरूशलेमको उद्धार पर्खिरहेका हरेकलाई उनले बालकको बारेमा बताइन् ।
And the same came forth that same houre and praysed the Lorde and spake of him to all that loked for redempcion in Hierusalem.
39 परमप्रभुको व्यवस्थाले बताएबमोजिम जब तिनीहरूले सबै काम सिद्धयाए, उनीहरू आफ्नै सहर गालीलको नासरतमा फर्के ।
And assone as they had performed all thinges accordinge to the lawe of the Lorde they returned into Galile to their awne cite Nazareth.
40 बालक बुद्धिमा र कदमा बढ्दै जानुभयो, र परमप्रभुको अनुग्रह उहाँमाथि थियो ।
And the chylde grewe and wexed stronde in sprete and was filled with wysdome and the grace of God was with hym.
41 उहाँका आमाबुबा निस्तार-चाड मनाउनका निम्ति हरेक वर्ष यरूशलेममा जान्थे ।
And his father and mother went to Hierusalem every yeare at the feeste of ester.
42 जब उहाँ बाह्र वर्षको हुनुहुन्थ्यो, तिनीहरू सधैँझैँ चाड मनाउनका निम्ति फेरि गए ।
And when he was. xii. yere olde they went vp to Hierusalem after the custome of the feeste.
43 चाडका पुरा दिनहरू त्यहाँ बिताएपछि तिनीहरू आफ्ना घर फर्किन थाले, तर बालक येशू यरूशलेममा नै रहनुभयो जुन कुरा उहाँका बुबाआमालाई थाहा थिएन ।
And when they had fulfilled the dayes as they returned home the chylde Iesus boode styll in Hierusalem vnknowynge to his father and mother.
44 तर तिनीहरूले बालक येशू यात्रीहरूकै दलमा हुनुहुन्छ भनी विचार गरे र एक दिनको यात्रा गरी सिद्धायाए । त्यसपछि उनीहरूले उहाँलाई नातेदार र साथीहरूको बिचमा खोज्न थाले ।
For they supposed he had bene in the copany and therfore came a days iorney and sought him amoge their kynsfolke and acquayntaunce.
45 जब उनीहरूले उहाँलाई भेट्टाएनन्, यरूशलेममा फर्केर उहाँलाई खोज्न थाले ।
And when they founde hym not they went backe agayne to Hierusalem and sought him.
46 तिन दिनपछि, उनीहरूले उहाँलाई मन्दिरमा शिक्षकहरूको बिचमा सुन्दै र तिनीहरूलाई प्रश्न गर्दै गरेको भेट्टाए ।
And it fortuned after. iii. dayes that they founde him in the teple sittinge in the middes of the doctours both hearynge them and posinge them.
47 जतिले उहाँका कुरा सुन्थे, उहाँको समझशक्ति र जवाफमा आश्चर्य चकित हुन्थे ।
And all that hearde him mervelled at his wit and answers.
48 जब उनीहरूले उहाँलाई देखे, तब अचम्मित भए । उहाँकी आमा मरियमले उहाँलाई भनिन् “छोरा, किन तिमीले हामीसँग यस्तो व्यवहार गर्यौ? सुन! तिम्रा बुबा र मैले कति चिन्तित हुँदै तिमीलाई खोजिरहेका थियौँ ।”
And when they sawe him they were astonyed. And his mother sayde vnto him: sonne why hast thou thus dealte with vs? Beholde thy father and I have sought the sorowenge.
49 उहाँले उनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “तपाईंहरूले मलाई किन खोजिरहनुभएको? म मेरा पिताको घरमा हुनुपर्छ भनेर के तपाईंहरूलाई थाहा छैन?”
And he sayde vnto the: how is it yt ye sought me? Wist ye not that I must goo aboute my fathers busines?
50 तर उहाँले उनीहरूलाई के भन्नुभएको थियो भनी उनीहरूले बुझ्न सकेनन् ।
And they vnderstode not ye sayinge that he spake to them.
51 त्यसपछि उहाँ तिनीहरूसँग आफ्नो घर नासरत फर्कनुभयो र आज्ञाकारी भई रहनुभयो । उहाँकी आमाले यी सबै कुरा मनमै राखिन् ।
And he went with them and came to Nazareth and was obedient to the. But his mother kept all these thinges in her hert.
52 तर येशू बुद्धिमा, कदमा र परमेश्वर अनि मानिसको निगाहमा निरन्तर बढ्दै जानुभयो ।
And Iesus increased in wisdom and age and in favoure with god and man.
