लेवीहरू 24

1 परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्‍नुभयो,

Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out], saying,

2 “इस्राएलका मानिसहरूलाई बत्तीमा प्रयोग गरिनको निम्ति जैतूनलाई पिसेर शुद्ध तेल ल्याउनू भनेर भन्, ताकि बत्ती निरन्तर बलिरहोस् ।

“Enjoin the children of Israel [God prevails], that they bring to you pure olive oil beaten for the light, to cause a menorah ·lamp· to burn continually.

3 भेट हुने पालमा गवाही पर्दादेखि बाहिर परमप्रभुको सामु हारूनले साँझदेखि बिहानसम्म त्यो बत्ती बालिराखोस् । तिमीहरूका मानिसहरूको सारा वंशमा सदाको निम्ति यो एउटा विधि बनोस् ।

Outside of the veil of the Testimony, in the Tent of Meeting, shall Aaron [Light-bringer] keep it in order from evening to morning before Adonai continually: it shall be a statute forever throughout all your generations.

4 प्रधान पुजारीले शुद्ध सुनको पानसमा भएका बत्तीहरू बालिराखोस् ।

He shall keep in order the lamp candles on the pure gold menorah ·lamp· before Adonai continually.

5 तैँले मसिनो पिठो लिएर बाह्रवटा रोटी बनाउनू । हरेक रोटीमा एक पाथी पिठो होस् ।

“You shall take fine flour, and bake twelve cakes of it: one tenth of an ephah [two omers; 4.6 q; 4.4 L] shall be in one cake.

6 त्यसपछि परमप्रभुको अगि शुद्ध सुनको टेबुलमाथि छ-छवटा गरी ती दुई ताँतीमा राख्‍नू ।

You shall set them in two rows, six on a row, on the pure gold table before Adonai.

7 रोटीहरूका दुवै ताँतीमा सम्झनाको भेटीस्वरूप शुद्ध धूप राख्‍नू । यही धूप परमप्रभुको निम्ति होमबलि हुने छ ।

You shall put pure frankincense on each row, that it may be to the bread for a memorial, even an offering made by fire to Adonai.

8 हरेक शबाथ दिनमा अनन्तको करारको चिन्हस्वरूप इस्राएलका मानिसहरूको खातिर प्रधान पुजारीले परमप्रभुको अगि त्यो रोटी राखोस् ।

Every Sabbath ·To cease· day he shall set it in order before Adonai continually. It is on the behalf of the children of Israel [God prevails] an everlasting covenant.

9 यो भेटी हारून र त्यसका छोराहरूका निम्ति हुने छ, र तिनीहरूले त्यो कुनै पवित्र ठाउँमा खाऊन्, किनभने त्यो परमप्रभुका निम्ति होमबलिको भेटीको भाग हो ।”

It shall be for Aaron [Light-bringer] and his sons; and they shall eat it in a holy place: for it is most holy to him of the offerings of Adonai made by fire by a perpetual statute.”

10 एउटी इस्राएली स्‍त्रीको छोरा जसको बुबा एक मिश्री थियो, त्यो इस्राएलका मनिसहरूका बिचमा गयो । छाउनीमा त्यस इस्राएली स्‍त्रीको छोरा एउटा इस्राएली पुरुषसँग झगडा गर्‍यो ।

The son of an Israelite [Descendant of God prevails] woman, whose father was an Egyptian [person from Abode of slavery], went out among the children of Israel [God prevails]; and the son of the Israelite [Descendant of God prevails] woman and a man of Israel [God prevails] strove together in the camp.

11 इस्राएली स्‍त्रीको छोराले परमप्रभुको नाउँको निन्दा गर्‍यो र परमेश्‍वरलाई सराप्‍यो । यसैकारण मानिसहरूले त्यसलाई मोशाकहाँ ल्याए । त्यसकी आमाको नाम शलोमीत थियो जो दानका कुलको दिब्रीकी छोरी थिई ।

The son of the Israelite [Descendant of God prevails] woman blasphemed the Name, and cursed; and they brought him to Moses [Drawn out]. His mother’s name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan [He judged].

12 परमप्रभु आफैले तिनीहरूलाई आफ्नो इच्‍छा नबताउनुभएसम्म तिनीहरूले त्यसलाई बन्दी बनाएर राखे ।

They put him in custody, until Adonai’s will should be declared to them.

13 त्यसपछि परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्‍नुभयो,

Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out], saying,

14 “परमेश्‍वरलाई सरापेको मानिसलाई छाउनीबाट बाहिर निकाल् । त्यसको कुरा सुनेका सबैले आफ्ना हात त्यसको टाउकोमाथि राखून्, र त्यसपछि जम्‍मै समुदायले त्यसलाई ढुङ्गाले हानून् ।

“Bring out of the camp him who cursed; and let all who sh'ma ·heard obeyed· him lay their hands on his head, and let all the congregation stone him.

15 इस्राएलका मानिसहरूलाई तैँले यसरी सम्झाउनू, ‘आफ्ना परमेश्‍वरलाई सराप्‍नेले आफ्नो दोष आफै बोकोस् ।

You shall speak to the children of Israel [God prevails], saying, ‘Whoever curses his God shall bear his sin.

16 परमप्रभुको नाउँको निन्दा गर्ने मानिस मारियोस् । त्यो इस्राएलमा जन्मेको स्वदेशी वा परदेशी जो भए तापनि जम्मै समुदायले त्यसलाई ढुङ्गाले हानून् । परमप्रभुको नाउँको निन्दा गर्ने मानिस निश्‍चय नै मारियोस् ।

He who blasphemes Adonai’s name, he shall surely be put to death. All the congregation shall certainly stone him. The foreigner as well as the native-born, when he blasphemes the Name, shall be put to death.

17 यदि कसैले कोही अर्को मानिसलाई हिर्काएर मार्‍यो भने, त्यो निश्‍चय नै मारियोस् ।

“‘He who strikes any man mortally shall surely be put to death.

18 यदि कसैले अर्काको पशुलाई हानेर मार्‍यो भने, त्यसले प्राणको साटो प्राण नै भर्ना दिओस् ।

He who strikes an animal mortally shall make it good, life for life.

19 यदि कसैले आफ्नो छिमेकीलाई घाइते बनायो भने, त्यसले आफ्नो छिमेकीलाई जे गरेको थियो त्यसलाई पनि त्यही गरियोस्,

If anyone injures his neighbor; as he has done, so shall it be done to him:

20 चोटको साटो चोट, आँखाको साटो आँखा, दाँतको साटो दाँत । त्यसले अर्को मानिसलाई घाइते बनाएको कारण त्यसलाई पनि त्यस्तै गरियोस् ।

fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; as he has injured someone, so shall it be done to him.

21 जसले कुनै पशुलाई मार्छ त्यसले त्यसको भर्ना तिरोस्, र जसले अर्को मानिसलाई मार्छ त्यो मारियोस् ।

He who kills an animal shall make it good; and he who kills a man shall be put to death.

22 परदेशी र स्वदेशमै जन्मिएको इस्राएली दुवैका निम्ति नियम एउटै होस्, किनभने म परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्‍वर हुँ’ ।”

You shall have one kind of judgment for the foreigner as well as the native-born; for I am Adonai your God.’”

23 यसैकारण मोशाले इस्राएलका मानिसहरूलाई यी कुरा बताए, र ती मानिसहरूले परमप्रभुलाई सरापेको मानिसलाई छाउनीबाट बाहिर निकाले । तिनीहरूले त्यसलाई ढुङ्गाले हाने । इस्राएलका मानिसहरूले परमप्रभुले मोशालाई दिनुभएको आज्ञाको पालन गरे ।

Moses [Drawn out] spoke to the children of Israel [God prevails]; and they brought out him who had cursed out of the camp, and stoned him with stones. The children of Israel [God prevails] did as Adonai enjoined Moses [Drawn out].
