लेवीहरू 19

1 परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्‍नुभयो,

And he spoke Yahweh to Moses saying

2 “इस्राएलका मानिसहरूको सबै समुदायलाई भन्, ‘म परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्‍वर पवित्र भएको कारण तिमीहरू पवित्र होओ ।

speak to all [the] congregation of [the] people of Israel and you will say to them holy you will be for [am] holy I Yahweh God your.

3 हरेकले आफ्ना आमा र बुबालाई आदर गर्नू, र मेरो शबाथ पालन गर्नू । म परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्‍वर हुँ ।

Anyone mother his and father his you will fear and sabbaths my you will keep I [am] Yahweh God your.

4 मूल्यहीन मूर्तिहरूलाई नपछ्‍याओ, न त आफ्नै निम्ति धातुका ईश्‍वरहरू बनाओ । म परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्‍वर हुँ ।

May not you turn to worthless idols and gods of molten metal not you must make for yourselves I [am] Yahweh God your.

5 तिमीहरूले परमप्रभुलाई मेलबलि अर्पण गर्दा तिमीहरू स्वीकारिनको निम्ति त्यो अर्पण गर ।

And if you will sacrifice a sacrifice of peace offering to Yahweh for acceptance your you will sacrifice it.

6 तिमीहरूले अर्पण गर्ने दिनमा वा अर्को दिनमा नै त्यो खाइयोस् । तेस्रो दिनसम्म केही बाँकी रह्‍यो भने, त्यो आगोद्वारा जलाइयोस् ।

On [the] day of sacrifice your it will be eaten and from [the] next day and [what] remains until [the] day third with fire it will be burned.

7 यदि त्यो तेस्रो दिनमा खाइयो भने, त्यो मासु अशुद्ध हो; त्यसलाई ग्रहण गरिनुहुँदैन,

And if ever it will be eaten on the day third [is] unclean meat it not it will be accepted.

8 र त्यो जसले खान्छ त्यसले आफ्नो दोष बोकिरहने छ किनभने परमप्रभुको निम्ति जे पवित्र छ त्यो त्यसले अशुद्ध गरेको छ, र त्यो मानिस आफ्ना मानिसहरूबाट बहिष्‍कृत होस् ।

And [those who] eat it iniquity his he will bear for [the] holy thing of Yahweh he has profaned and it will be cut off the person that from kinspeople its.

9 तिमीहरूले आफ्ना जमिनको कटनी गर्दा पूर्ण रूपमा आफ्ना जमिनको कुना-कुनाहरूमा कटनी नगर्नू, न त आफ्ना फसल सबै बटुल्‍नू ।

And when harvest you [the] harvest of land your not you will finish [the] side of field your to harvest and [the] remnant of harvest your not you will gather.

10 आफ्नो दाखबारीबाट सबै दाख तिमीहरूले नबटुल्‍नू, न त आफ्ना दाखबारीमा खसेका दाख बटुल्‍नू । तिमीहरूले ती गरिब र परदेशीहरूका निम्ति छोडिदिनू । म परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्‍वर हुँ ।

And vineyard your not you will glean and [the] fallen grape[s] of vineyard your not you will gather for the poor [person] and for the sojourner you will leave them I [am] Yahweh God your.

11 चोरी नगर्नू । झुटो नबोल्नू । एक-अर्कालाई धोका नदिनू ।

Not you will steal and not you will deceive and not you will deal falsely anyone with fellow citizen his.

12 मेरो नामको झुटो शपथ खाएर तिमीहरूका परमेश्‍वरको नाउँलाई अशुद्ध नतुल्याउनू । म परमप्रभु हुँ ।

And not you will swear an oath by name my to falsehood and you will profane [the] name of God your I [am] Yahweh.

13 आफ्नो छिमेकीमाथि दमन नगर्नू वा उसलाई नलुट्‍नू । ज्यालामा काम गर्ने नोकरको पारिश्रमिक रातभर र बिहानसम्म तिमीहरूसँग नरहोस् ।

Not you will oppress neighbor your and not you will rob [him] not it will remain overnight [the] wage[s] of a hired laborer with you until morning.

14 बहिरोलाई सराप नदिनू वा अन्धाको अगाडि ठेस लाग्‍ने कुरो नराख्‍नू । बरु, तिमीहरूले आफ्ना परमेश्‍वरको भय मान्‍नू । म परमप्रभु हुँ ।

Not you will curse a deaf [person] and before a blind [person] not you will put a stumbling block and you will fear from God your I [am] Yahweh.

15 झुटो न्याय नगर्नू । कोही गरिब भएको कारण र कोही महत्त्वपूर्ण भएको कारण तिमीहरूले कसैप्रति पक्षपात नगर्नू । बरु, आफ्नो छिमेकीको सही न्याय गर्नू ।

Not you will do injustice in judgment not you will lift up [the] face of a poor [person] and not you will honor [the] face of a great [person] in righteousness you will judge fellow citizen your.

16 आफ्ना मानिसहरूका बिचमा निन्‍दा फैलाउँदै नहिँड्नू, तर आफ्नो छिमेकीको प्राण बचाउने कोसिस गर्नू । म परमप्रभु हुँ ।

Not you will go about a slanderer among kinspeople your not you will stand on [the] blood of neighbor your I [am] Yahweh.

17 आफ्नो हृदयमा आफ्नो भाइको निम्ति घृणा नराख्‍नू । आफ्नो छिमेकीसँगै पाप नगर्नको निम्ति उसलाई इमानदार भएर हप्‍काउनू ।

Not you will hate brother your in heart your certainly you will rebuke fellow citizen your and not you will bear on him sin.

18 बदला नलिनू वा आफ्ना मानिसहरूका विरुद्धमा कुनै इख नराख्‍नू, बरु आफ्नो छिमेकीलाई आफैलाई झैँ प्रेम गर्नू । म परमप्रभु हुँ ।

Not you will avenge yourself and not you will keep [the] sons of people your and you will love neighbor your like yourself I [am] Yahweh.

19 तिमीहरूले मेरा आज्ञाहरू मान्‍नू । आफ्‍ना पशुहरूलाई अर्कै प्रजातिका पशुसँग मिलन नगराओ । आफ्नो खेतमा दुई प्रकारका बिउहरू नछर । दुई प्रकारको सामग्री मिसिएको कपडा नलगाओ ।

Statutes my you will keep livestock your not you will make lie two kinds field your not you will sow two kinds and clothing two kinds mixed stuff not it will go up on you.

20 मगनी भएको तर मोल नतिरिएको वा स्वतन्त्र नगराइएको कमारी स्‍त्रीसँग सुत्‍नेलाई दण्ड दिइयोस् । तिनीहरूलाई मृत्युदण्ड नदिनू किनभने त्यो मुक्‍त थिई ।

And a man if he will lie with a woman a laying of seed and she [is] a female slave intended for a man and certainly not she had been released or freedom not it had been given to her compensation it will be not they will be put to death for not she had been given freedom.

21 त्यस मानिसले भेट हुने पालको प्रवेशद्वारमा परमप्रभुकहाँ एउटा भेडा दोषबलिको रूपमा ल्याओस् ।

And he will bring guilt offering his to Yahweh to [the] entrance of [the] tent of meeting a ram of a guilt offering.

22 त्यसपछि पुजारीले त्यस मानिसको लागि त्यसले गरेको पापको खातिर परमप्रभुको अगि दोषबलिको निम्ति त्यस भेडाद्वारा प्रायश्‍चित्त गर्ने छ । अनि त्यसले गरेको पाप क्षमा हुने छ ।

And he will make atonement on him the priest by [the] ram of the guilt offering before Yahweh on sin his which he has sinned and it will be forgiven to him from sin his which he has sinned.

23 तिमीहरूले जमिनमा हर प्रकारका रुखहरूलाई फलको निम्ति लगाएपछि तिनीहरूले उत्पादन गरेका फललाई खानको निम्ति मनाही गरिएको मान्‍नू । ती फल तेरो निम्ति खानलाई तिन वर्षसम्म मनाही हुने छ । त्यो नखानू ।

And if you will go into the land and you will plant every tree of food and you will regard as uncircumcised foreskin its fruit its three years it will be to you uncircumcised not it will be eaten.

24 तर चौथो वर्षमा सबै फल परमप्रभुको निम्ति प्रशंसाको बलिदानझैँ पवित्र हुने छ ।

And in the year fourth it will be all fruit its a holy thing praise offerings to Yahweh.

25 पाँचौँ वर्षमा रुखहरूले अझै बढी उत्पादन गरून् भनेर पर्खिसकेपछि तिमीहरू फल खान सक्‍छौ । म परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्‍वर हुँ ।

And in the year fifth you will eat fruit its to add to you produce its I [am] Yahweh God your.

26 कुनै मासुमा रगत बाँकी छ भने त्यो नखानू । भविष्‍यबारे जान्‍न आत्माहरूसँग सल्लाह नलिनू, र अरूहरूलाई अलौकिक शक्‍तिहरूद्वारा नियन्त्रण गर्ने प्रयास नगर्नू ।

Not you must eat with the blood not you will practice divination and not you will practice soothsaying.

27 तिमीहरूका कन्‍चेटको कपाल नखुर्कनू वा दाह्रीका कुना-कुना नकाट्नू ।

Not you will round off [the] side of head your and not you will trim [the] side of beard your.

28 मरेको मानिसको निम्ति आफ्नो शरीर नकाट्‍नू वा आफ्नो शरीरमा खोपेर कुनै छाप नबनाउनू । म परमप्रभु हुँ ।

And cut[s] for a corpse not you will make in flesh your and [the] inscription of an incision not you will make in yourselves I [am] Yahweh.

29 आफ्नी छोरीलाई वेश्‍या बनाएर त्यसको अपमान नगर्नू, नत्रता सारा देश वेश्‍यागमनतिर लाग्‍ला र देश दुष्‍टताले भरिने छ ।

May not you profane daughter your by making prostitute [herself] her and not it will prostitute itself the land and it will be full the land wickedness.

30 तिमीहरूले मेरो शबाथ मान्‍नू र मेरो पवित्र स्थानको आदर गर्नू । म परमप्रभु हुँ ।

Sabbaths my you will keep and sanctuary my you will fear I [am] Yahweh.

31 मरेकाहरू वा आत्माहरूसँग बोल्‍नेहरूलाई नपछ्‍याओ । तिनीहरूको खोजी नगर, नत्रता तिनीहरूले तिमीहरूलाई अशुद्ध पार्ने छन् । म परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्‍वर हुँ ।

May not you turn to the necromancers and to the soothsayers may not you seek [them] to become unclean by them I [am] Yahweh God your.

32 फुलेका केश भएकाहरूका उपस्थितिमा खडा होओ र वृद्ध मानिसको उपस्थितिलाई आदर गर । तिमीहरूका परमेश्‍वरको भय मान । म परमप्रभु हुँ ।

From before gray hair you will arise and you will honor [the] face an old [person] and you will fear from God your I [am] Yahweh.

33 तिमीहरूका देशमा कुनै परदेशी बस्‍दछ भने, त्यसलाई कुनै हानि नगर्नू ।

And if he will sojourn with you a sojourner in land your not you will maltreat him.

34 तिमीहरूसँग बसोबास गर्ने परदेशी तिमीहरूका निम्ति तिमीहरूसँगै बसोबास गर्ने इस्राएलमै जन्‍मेको मानिसझैँ होस्, र त्यसलाई आफैलाई झैँ प्रेम गर्नू, किनभने तिमीहरू पनि मिश्र देशमा परदेशी नै थियौ । म परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्‍वर हुँ ।

Like [the] native-born from you he will be to you the sojourner - who sojourns with you and you will love him like yourself for sojourners you were in [the] land of Egypt I [am] Yahweh God your.

35 लम्बाइ, तौल र सङ्ख्या नाप्‍दा छल नगर्नू ।

Not you will do injustice in judgment in measurement in weight and in volume.

36 तिमीहरूले ठिक-ठिक तराजु र ढक, र ठिक-ठिक नाप र तौलहरू प्रयोग गर्नू । तिमीहरूलाई मिश्र देशबाट बाहिर ल्याउने म परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्‍वर हुँ ।

Balances of righteousness weights of righteousness an ephah of righteousness and a hin of righteousness it will belong to you I [am] Yahweh God your who I brought out you from [the] land of Egypt.

37 तिमीहरूले मेरा सबै आज्ञाहरू र मेरा सबै विधिविधानहरू मान्‍नू र तीअनुसार चल्‍नू । म परमप्रभु हुँ’ ।”

And you will keep all statutes my and all judgments my and you will do them I [am] Yahweh.
