न्यायकर्ताहरू 15
1 केही दिनपछि, गहुँ कटनीको समयमा, शिमशोनले एउटा पाठो लिए र आफ्नी पत्नीलाई भेट्न गए । तिनले मनमनै भने, “म मेरी पत्नीको कोठामा जानेछु ।” तर उनका बुबाले तिनलाई भित्र जान दिएनन् ।
And it came to pass after some time, in the time of wheat-harvest, that Samson visited his wife with a kid; and he said, Let me go in to my wife into the chamber; but her father would not suffer him to go in.
2 उनका बुबाले भने, “तपाईंले उनलाई घृणा गर्नुहुन्छ भनी मैले सोचेको थिएँ, यसैले मैले त्यसलाई तपाईंको साथमा बसेको मित्रलाई दिएँ । उनकी कान्छी बहिनी उनीन्दा सुन्दरी छिन् । तिनैलाई लैजानुहोस् ।”
And her father said, I verily thought that thou didst utterly hate her; therefore I gave her to thy companion: is not her younger sister fairer than she? Let her be thine, I pray thee, instead of her.
3 शिमशोनले तिनीहरूलाई भने, “यसपल्ट मैले पलिश्तीहरूलाई चोट दिंदा म निर्दोष हुनेछु ।”
And Samson said to them, Now shall I be more blameless than the Philistines, though I do them evil.
4 शिमशोन गए र तिन सयवटा स्यालहरू समाते र हरेकलाई दुई-दुईचटा गरेर पुच्छर-पुच्छर बाँधिदिए । तब तिनले राँको लिएर हरेक जोडीको पुच्छरको बिचमा राखे ।
And Samson went and caught three hundred foxes, and took torches, and turned tail to tail, and put one torch between two tails in the midst;
5 जब तिनले राँकाहरूमा आगो सल्काए, तब तिनले स्यालहरूलाई पलिश्तीहरूका पाकिरहेका अन्नमा छोडिदिए, र तिनीहरूले जम्मा गरेर राखिएका अन्न र खेतमा पाकेका अन्न दुवैमा, दाखवारीहरू र जैतूनका बगैंचाहरूलाई डढाए ।
And he set the torches on fire, and let them go into the standing corn of the Philistines, and burnt up both shocks and standing corn, as also olive-yards.
6 पलिश्तीहरूले सोधे, “यो कसले गर्यो?” तिनीहरूलाई भनियो, “तिम्नामा बसोबास गर्नेका ज्वाइँ शिमशोनले यो गरेका हुन् किनभने तिम्नाका मानिसहरूले शिमशोनकी पत्नीलाई लिए र तिनको साथमा बसेको मित्रलाई दिए ।” त्यसपछि पलिश्तीहरू गएर त्यस स्त्री र त्यसका बुबालाई जलाइदिए ।
Then said the Philistines, Who hath done this! And they answered, Samson, the son-in-law of the Thimnite, because he hath taken his wife, and given her to his companion. And the Philistines went up, and burnt her and her father with fire.
7 शिमशोनले तिनीहरूलाई भने, “तिमीहरूको व्यवहार यस्तै हो भने, म तिमीहरूका विरुद्ध बदला लिनेछु, र त्यसो गरेपछि मात्र म रोकिनेछु ।”
And Samson said unto them, Since ye will do the like of this, I will surely be avenged on you, and after that will I cease.
8 तब तिनले उनीहरूलाई कम्मर र जाँघबाट टुक्रा-टुक्रा गरी काटे र धेरैको हत्या गरे । त्यसपछि उनी तल गए र एतामको चट्टानको गुफामा बसे ।
And he smote them hip and thigh with a great slaughter; and he went down and tarried in the cleft of the rock 'Etam.
9 त्यसपछि पलिश्तीहरू माथि आए र तिनीहरूले यहूदामा युद्धको निम्ति तयारी गरे र लहीमा आफ्ना सेनालाई तयार राखे ।
And the Philistines went up, and encamped in Judah, and spread themselves in Lechi.
10 तब यहूदाका मानिसहरूले भने, “तिमीहरू किन हामीलाई आक्रमण गर्न आएका छौ?” तिनीहरूले भने, “शिमशोनलाई समातौं र त्यसले हामीलाई जे गरेको छ त्यसलाई त्यस्तै गरौ भनेर हामी आक्रमण गर्दैछौं ।”
And the men of Judah said, Why are ye come up against us? And they answered, To bind Samson are we come up, to do to him as he hath done to us.
11 तब यहूदाका तिन हजार मानिसहरू एतामको चट्टानको गुफामा गए, र तिनीहरूले शिमशोनलाई भने, “के तिमीलाई थाहा छ, कि पलिश्तीहरू हाम्रा शासकहरू हुन्? यो तिमीले हामीलाई के गरेका छौ?” शिमशोनले तिनीहरूलाई भने, “तिनीहरूले मलाई जस्तो गरे, अनि मैले पनि तिनीहरूलाई त्यस्तै गरें ।”
Thereupon went three thousand men of Judah down to the cleft of the rock 'Etam, and said to Samson, Knowest thou not that the Philistines rule over us? and what is this that thou hast done unto us? And he said unto them, As they did unto me, so have I done unto them.
12 तिनीहरूले शिमशोनलाई भने, “तिमीलाई बाँधेर पलिश्तीहरूका हातमा दिनको निम्ति हामी यहाँ तल आएका छौं ।” शिमशोनले तिनीहरूलाई भने, “मसँग यो शपथ खाओ कि तिमीहरू आफैंले मलाई मार्नेछैनौ ।”
And they said unto him, To bind thee are we come down, to deliver thee into the hand of the Philistines. And Samson said unto them, Swear unto me, that ye will not assail me yourselves.
13 तिनीहरूले तिनलाई भने, “हामी तिमीलाई केवल डोरीले बाँध्नेछौं र तिमीलाई तिनीहरूकहाँ सुम्पिनेछौं । हामी यो प्रतिज्ञा गर्छौं, कि हामी तिमीलाई मार्नेछैनौं ।” यसैले तिनीहरूले तिनलाई दुईवटा नयाँ डोरीले बाँधे र त्यस चट्टानबाट माथि ल्याए ।
And they said unto him, thus, No; for we will [only] bind thee fast, and deliver thee into their hand; but we will in no-wise kill thee. And they bound him with two new cords, and brought him up from the rock.
14 जब तिनी लहीमा आए, पलिश्तीहरूले तिनलाई भेट्नेवित्तिकै ठुलो सोरमा कराउँदै आए । अनि परमप्रभुका आत्मा शक्तिको साथमा उनीमाथि आउनुभयो । तिनका पाखुराका डोरीहरू डढेका सनपाटझैं भए, र तिनीहरू तिनका हातबाट झरे ।
When he was come unto Lechi, the Philistines shouted against him; but the Spirit of the Lord came suddenly over him, and the cords that were upon his arms became as flax threads that are burnt with fire, and his bands melted from off his hands.
15 शिमशोनले एउटा गधाको आलो बङ्गारो भेट्टाए, र तिनले त्यो उठाए र त्यसैले एक हजार जना मानिसलाई मारे ।
And he found a fresh jaw-bone of an ass, and put forth his hand, and took it, and smote therewith a thousand men.
16 शिमशोनले भने, “एउटा गधाको बङ्गारोले रासमाथि रास पारें ।” एउटा गधाको बङ्गारोले मैले एक हजार जना मानिसलाई मारें ।”
And Samson said, With a jaw-bone of an ass, heaps upon heaps, with the jaw-bone of an ass have I smitten a thousand men.
17 जब शिमशोनले बोलिसके, तब तिनले त्यो बङ्गारोलाई फालिदिए, र तिनले त्यस ठाउँलाई रामत-लही नाउँ राखे ।
And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking, that he cast away the jaw-bone out of his hand, and called that place Ramath-lechi.
18 शिमशोन धेरै तिर्खाए र परमप्रभुलाई पुकारा गरे र भने, “तपाईंले आफ्नो दासलाई यो महान् विजय दिनुभएको छ । तर के अब म तिर्खाले मर्ने, अनि खतना नभएका मानिसहरूका हातमा पर्नेछु?”
And he became very thirsty, and he called on the Lord, and said, Thou hast granted through the hand of thy servant this great deliverance; and now shall I die for thirst, and fall into the hand of the uncircumcised?
19 परमेश्वरले लहीमा भएको खाल्डोलाई चिरिदिनुभयो र त्यहाँबाट पानी निस्कियो । जब तिनले पानी पिए, तब तिनको शक्ति फर्कियो र तिनी ताजा भए । यसैले तिनले त्यस ठाउँको नाउँ एन-हक्कोरे राखे, र आजको दिनसम्मै त्यो लहीमा छ ।
But God clave a hollow place that was at Lechi, and there came forth water out of it; and he drank, and his spirit came again, and he revived; wherefore he called the name thereof 'En-hakkore, which is in Lechi unto this day.
20 शिमशोनले पलिश्तीहरूको समयमा इस्राएलमा बिस वर्ष न्याय गरे ।
And he judged Israel in the days of the Philistines twenty years.
