यहोशू 6
1 इस्राएलका फौजका कारण यरीहोतिरका सबै प्रवेशद्वारहरू बन्द थिए । कोही पनि बाहिर आउँदैनथ्यो र भित्र पस्दैनथ्यो ।
Now Jericho was securely shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in.
2 परमप्रभुले यहोशूलाई भन्नुभयो, “हेर्, मैले यरीहोलाई यसको राजा र यसका तालिम प्राप्त सिपाहीहरूसहित तेरो हातमा सुम्पेको छु ।
And the LORD said to Joshua, See, I have given into thy hand Jericho, and its king, and the mighty men of valour.
3 तिमीहरूले सहरको फेरो मार्नुपर्छ, लडाइँमा जाने सबै मानिसले सहरलाई एक फेरो मार्नुपर्छ । तिमीहरूले छ दिनसम्म यसै गर्नू ।
And ye shall march around the city, all ye men of war, and go round the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days.
4 सात जना पुजारीले सन्दुकको अगि सातवटा भेडाका सिङका सातवटा तुरही बोक्नुपर्छ । सातौँ दिनमा तिमीहरूले सहरलाई सात फेरो मार्नू र पुजारीहरूले तुरही फुक्नू ।
And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams’ horns: and the seventh day ye shall march around the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets.
5 त्यसपछि तिनीहरूले भेडाको सिङको सँगै लामो समयसम्म बजाउनुपर्छ र जब तिमीहरूले त्यो आवाज सुन्छौ सबै मानिस ठुलो स्वरमा कराउनुपर्छ, र सहरको पर्खाल जगसम्म नै ढल्ने छ । हरेक सिपाही सोझै अगि बढेर आक्रमण गर्नुपर्छ ।”
And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall go up every man straight before him.
6 अनि नूनका छोरा यहोशूले पुजारीहरूलाई बोलाएर तिनीहरूलाई भने, “करारको सन्दुक बोक, र सात जना पुजारीले परमप्रभुको सन्दुक अगिअगि भेडाका सातवटा सिङका तुरहीहरू बोकून् ।”
And Joshua the son of Nun called the priests, and said to them, Take up the ark of the covenant, and let seven priests bear seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark of the LORD.
7 तिनले मानिसहरूलाई भने, “जाओ र सहरको फन्को मार, अनि सशस्त्र मानिसहरू परमप्रभुको सन्दुकअगि जाने छन् ।”
And he said to the people, Pass on, and march around the city, and let him that is armed pass on before the ark of the LORD.
8 यहोशूले मानिसहरूलाई भनेजस्तै सात जना पुजारीले परमप्रभुको सामु भेडाका सिङहरूको सातवटा तुरही बोके । तिनीहरू अगि बढ्दा तिनीहरूले तुरहीहरू फुके । परमप्रभुको करारको सन्दुक तिनीहरूको पछिपछि थियो ।
And it came to pass, when Joshua had spoken to the people, that the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams’ horns passed on before the LORD, and blew with the trumpets: and the ark of the covenant of the LORD followed them.
9 सशस्त्र मानिसहरू पुजारीहरूको अगिअगि हिँडे र तिनीहरूले तिनीहरूका तुरहीहरू फुके, तर पछाडिका सुरक्षाकर्मीहरू सन्दुकको पछिपछि हिँडे र पुजारीहरूले तिनीहरूको तुरही निरन्तर रूपमा फुकिरहे ।
And the armed men went before the priests that blew with the trumpets, and the rear guard came after the ark, the priests going on, and blowing with the trumpets.
10 तर यहोशूले यसो भन्दै मानिसहरूलाई आज्ञा दिए, “नकराओ । मैले कराउनू नभनेसम्म तिमीहरूको मुखबाट कुनै आवाज ननिस्कोस् । त्यसपछि मात्र कराओ ।”
And Joshua had commanded the people, saying, Ye shall not shout, nor make any noise with your voice, neither shall any word proceed from your mouth, until the day I bid you shout; then shall ye shout.
11 त्यसैले तिनले परमप्रभुको सन्दुकलाई त्यस दिन सहरको वरिपरि एक पटक जान लगाए । अनि तिनीहरू छाउनी प्रवेश गरे र राति छाउनीमा नै बसे ।
So the ark of the LORD went around the city, going about it once: and they came into the camp, and lodged in the camp.
12 यहोशू बिहान सबेरै उठे र पुजारीहरूले परमप्रभुको सन्दुक बोके ।
And Joshua rose early in the morning, and the priests took up the ark of the LORD.
13 परमप्रभुको सन्दुकअगि भेडाको सिङको सातवटा तुरही बोक्ने सात जना पुजारी लगातार हिँडिरहे र तुरही फुकिरहे । सशस्त्र सिपाहीहरू तिनीहरूको अगि हिँडिरहेका थिए । तर पछिल्तिरका सुरक्षाकर्मीहरू परमप्रभुको सन्दुकको पछिपछि हिँडे । त्यसपछि तुरही लगातार बजाइयो ।
And seven priests bearing seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark of the LORD went on continually, and blew with the trumpets: and the armed men went before them; but the rear guard came after the ark of the LORD, the priests going on, and blowing with the trumpets.
14 तिनीहरूले दोस्रो दिन पनि सहरलाई एक फेरो लगाए र बिहानै छाउनीमा फर्के । तिनीहरूले छ दिनसम्म यसै गरे ।
And the second day they marched around the city once, and returned into the camp: so they did six days.
15 सातौँ दिनमा तिनीहरू बिहान सबेरै उठे र तिनीहरूले त्यस दिन पनि सहरको फेरो मारे । त्यस दिन तिनीहरूले सहर वरिपरि सात फन्को मारे ।
And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they rose early about the dawning of the day, and marched around the city after the same manner seven times: only on that day they marched around the city seven times.
16 जब सातौँ दिनमा पुजारीहरूले तुरही फुके यहोशूले मानिसहरूलाई आज्ञा दिए, “कराओ! किनभने परमप्रभुले यो सहर तिमीहरूलाई दिनुभएको छ ।
And it came to pass at the seventh time, when the priests blew with the trumpets, Joshua said to the people, Shout; for the LORD hath given you the city.
17 यो सहर र यसमा भएका सबै थोक विनाशको निम्ति परमप्रभुको लागि अलग गरिएको छ । राहाब र तिनको घरमा तिनीसँग भएकाहरू मात्र बाँच्ने छन्, किनभने तिनले हामीले पठाएका मानिसहरूलाई लुकाएकी थिइन् ।
And the city shall be accursed, even it, and all that are in it, to the LORD: only Rahab the harlot shall live, she and all that are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent.
18 तर तिमीहरूचाहिँ विनाशको निम्ति अलग गरिएका थोकहरू लिने कुरामा सावधान होओ, ताकि तिमीहरूले तिनीहरूलाई विनाशको निम्ति चिनो लगाओ, र तिमीहरूले तिनीहरूमध्ये कुनै पनि नलेओ । यदि तिमीहरूले यसो गरेनौ भने, तिमीहरूले इस्रएलको छाउनीलाई विनाश गरिनु पर्ने थोकजस्तै तुल्याउने छौ र तिमीहरूले यसमाथि कष्ट ल्याउने छौ ।
And ye, in every way keep yourselves from the accursed thing, lest ye make yourselves accursed, when ye take of the accursed thing, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it.
19 सबै चाँदी, सुन, र काँसाबाट बनेका थोकहरू अनि फलामलाई परमप्रभुको निम्ति अलग गरिएको छ । ती सबै परमप्रभुको घरमा जानुपर्छ ।”
But all the silver, and gold, and vessels of brass and iron, are consecrated to the LORD: they shall come into the treasury of the LORD.
20 जब तिनीहरूले तुरही फुके, मानिसहरू ठुलो स्वरमा कराए अनि पर्खाल जगसम्मै ढल्यो । त्यसैले हरेक मानिस सोझै अगि बढ्यो र सहर कब्जा गरियो ।
So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.
21 तिनीहरूले सहरमा भएका पुरुष र महिला, जवान र वृद्ध, गोरु, भेडा र गधाहरूलाई तरवारले विनाश पारे ।
And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, and ox, and sheep, and donkey, with the edge of the sword.
22 त्यसपछि भूमिको भेद लिने दुई जना मानिसलाई भने, “ती वेश्याको घरभित्र जाओ । ती महिला र तिनीसँग भएका सबैलाई तिमीहरूले शपथ खाएबमोजिम बाहिर ल्याओ ।”
But Joshua had said to the two men that spied out the country, Go into the harlot’s house, and bring out from there the woman, and all that she hath, as ye swore to her.
23 त्यसैले त्यो भूमिको भेद लिने जवानहरू गए र राहाबलाई बाहिर ल्याए । तिनीहरूले तिनका बुबा, आमा, दाजुभाइहरू र तिनीसँग भएका सबै नातेदारलाई ल्याए । तिनीहरूले उनीहरूलाई इस्राएलको छाउनी भएको ठाउँमा ल्याए ।
And the young men that were spies went in, and brought out Rahab, and her father, and her mother, and her brethren, and all that she had; and they brought out all her kindred, and left them outside the camp of Israel.
24 तिनीहरूले सहर र यसमा भएका सबै थोकलाई जलाए । चाँदी, सुन, काँसामा भाँडाहरू र फलामलाई मात्र परमप्रभुको घरमा राखियो ।
And they burnt the city with fire, and all that was in it: only the silver, and the gold, and the vessels of brass and of iron, they put into the treasury of the house of the LORD.
25 तर यहोशूले राहाब वेश्या, उनको बुबाको घराना र तिनीसँग भएका सबैलाई जीवितै राखे । उनी आजसम्म पनि इस्राएलमा नै बस्छिन्, किनभने उनले यहोशूले यरीहोको जासुस गर्न पठाएका मानिसहरूलाई लुकाइन् ।
And Joshua saved Rahab the harlot alive, and her father’s household, and all that she had; and she dwelleth in Israel even to this day; because she hid the messengers, which Joshua sent to spy out Jericho.
26 त्यसपछि यहोशूले तिनीहरूलाई त्यस बेला शपथ खान लगाएर यसो भन्दै आज्ञा दिए, “यो यरीहो सहरको पुनर्निर्माण गर्ने मानिस श्रापित होस् । त्यसको जेठो छोरोको मूल्यमा जग बसालिने छ, र त्यसको कान्छो छोरोको मूल्यमा यसका प्रवेशद्वारहरू खडा गरिने छ ।”
And Joshua charged them at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before the LORD, that riseth up and buildeth this city Jericho: he shall lay its foundation in his firstborn, and in his youngest son shall he set up the gates of it.
27 परमप्रभु यहोशूसँग हुनुहुन्थ्यो, र तिनको कीर्ति सारा मुलुकभरि फैलियो ।
So the LORD was with Joshua; and his fame was noised throughout all the country.
