यहोशू 21

1 त्यसपछि लेवी कुलका कुलनायकहरू पुजारी एलाजार, नूनका छोरा यहोशू र इस्राएलका मानिसहरूभित्रका तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूको परिवारहरूका अगुवाहरूकहाँ आए ।

And the leaders of the families of Levi approached Eleazar, the priest, and Joshua, the son of Nun, and the rulers of the extended families of each of the tribes of the sons of Israel.

2 तिनीहरूले कनानको भूमिमा शीलोमा तिनीहरूलाई भने, “परमप्रभुले मोशाद्वारा हाम्रा गाईवस्तुहरूका निम्ति खर्कसहितका बसोबास गर्न हामीलाई सहरहरू दिन आज्ञा गर्नुभएको थियो ।”

And they spoke to them at Shiloh, in the land of Canaan, and they said, “The Lord instructed, by the hand of Moses, that cities should be given to us as habitations, with their suburbs to nourish our cattle.”

3 त्यसैले इस्राएलका मानिसहरूले परमप्रभुको आज्ञाद्वारा लेवीहरूलाई तिनीहरूका खर्कहरूसहित तिनीहरूको उत्तराधिकारबाट निम्‍न सहरहरू दिए ।

And so the sons of Israel gave cities and their suburbs from their possessions, in accord with the order of the Lord.

4 कहातीहरूका निम्ति हालेको चिट्ठाको परिणाम यस्तो आयोः लेवीबाट जन्‍मेका हारूनका सन्तानहरू, पुजारीहरूले यहूदाको कुलबाट, शिमियोनका कुलबाट र बेन्यामीनको कुलबाट दिइएका तेह्रवटा सहर पाए ।

And the lot went out for the family of Kohath, of the sons of Aaron, the priest, from the tribes of Judah and Simeon and Benjamin: thirteen cities.

5 बाँकी कहातीहरूलाई एफ्राइम, दान र मनश्शेको आधा कुलबाट दश सहर दिइयो ।

And to the remainder of the sons of Kohath, that is, to the Levites who were left over, there went, from the tribes of Ephraim and Dan, and from the one half tribe of Manasseh, ten cities.

6 त्यसपछि गेर्शोनबाट जन्मेका मानिसहरूलाई चिट्ठाद्वारा इस्साखार, आशेर, नप्‍तली र बाशानमा मनश्शेको आधा कुलबाट तेह्रवटा सहर दिइयो ।

And next the lot went out to the sons of Gershon, so that they would receive, from the tribes of Issachar and Asher and Naphtali, and from the one half tribe of Manasseh at Bashan: the number of thirteen cities.

7 मरारीका सन्तानहरूका कुल-कुलअनुसार रूबेन, गाद र जबूलूनको कुलबाट बाह्रवटा सहर पाए ।

And to the sons of Merari, by their families, from the tribes of Reuben and Gad and Zebulun, there went twelve cities.

8 त्यसैले इस्राएलका मानिसहरूले परमप्रभुले मोशाद्वारा आज्ञा दिनुभएमुताबिक लेवीहरूलाई यी सहरहरू (तिनीहरूका खर्कहरूसहित) चिट्ठा हालेर दिए ।

And so the sons of Israel gave cities and their suburbs to the Levites, just as the Lord instructed by the hand of Moses, distributing to each by lot.

9 यहूदा र शिमियोनका कुलहरूबाट तिनीहरूले यहाँ नाउँद्वारा सूची बनाएअनुसार दिए ।

From the tribes of the sons of Judah and Simeon, Joshua gave cities, whose names are these:

10 यी सहरहरू हारूनका सन्तानहरूलाई दिइयो, जो कहाती कुलका थिए र लेवी वंशबाटका थिए । किनभने पहिले हालेको चिट्ठा तिनीहरूलाई पर्‍यो ।

to the sons of Aaron, of the families of Kohath of the stock of Levi, (for the first lot went out for them, )

11 इस्राएलीहरूलाई किर्यत-अर्बा (अर्बा अनाका पिता थिए) अर्थात् जुन हेब्रोन हो यहूदाको पहाडी देशमा यसका खर्कहरूसहित तिनीहरूलाई दिए ।

the city of Arba, the father of Anak, which is called Hebron, on the mountain of Judah, and its surrounding suburbs.

12 तर तिनीहरूका गाउँहरूसहित सहरका खेतहरू यपुन्‍नेका छोरा कालेबलाई पहिले नै तिनको अधिकारको रूपमा दिइएको थियो ।

Yet truly, the fields and its villages he had given to Caleb, the son of Jephunneh, as a possession.

13 तिनीहरूले पुजारी हारूनका सन्तानहरूलाई यसका खर्कहरूसहित हेब्रोन, जुन अरूलाई अनजानमा मार्ने मानिसको निम्ति शरण-नगर थियो, र यसको खर्कसहित लिब्‍ना,

Therefore, he gave to the sons of Aaron the priest, Hebron as a city of refuge, as well as its suburbs, and Libnah, with its suburbs,

14 यसको खर्कसहित यत्तीर, र यसको खर्कसहित एश्तमो दिए ।

and Jattir, and Eshtemoa,

15 तिनीहरूले यसको खर्कसहित होलोन, यसको खर्कसहित दबीर,

and Holon, and Debir,

16 यसको खर्कसहित ऐन, यसको खर्कसहित युत्ता र यसको खर्कसहित बेथ-शेमेश दिए । यी दुई कुलबाट दिइएका नौवटा सहर थिए ।

and Ain, and Juttah, and Beth-shemesh, with their suburbs: nine cities from two tribes, just as has been said.

17 बेन्यामीनको कुलबाट यसको खर्कसहित गिबोन, यसको खर्कसहित गेबा,

Then, from the tribe of the sons of Benjamin, he gave Gibeon, and Geba,

18 यसको खर्कसहित अनातोत, र यसको खर्कसहित चारवटा सहर दिइयो ।

and Anathoth, and Almon, with their suburbs: four cities.

19 हारूनका सन्तानहरू, पुजारीहरूलाई दिइएका सहरहरू तिनीहरूका खर्कहरूसहित तेह्रवटा थिए ।

All the cities together of the sons of Aaron, the priest, were thirteen, with their suburbs.

20 बाँकी कहातीहरू जो लेवी कुलको कहाती थिए, तिनीहरूले चिट्ठा हालेर एफ्राइमको कुलबाट तिनीहरूलाई दिएका थिए ।

Yet truly, the remainder of the families of the sons of Kohath, of the stock of Levi, were given this possession:

21 तिनीहरू कसैलाई अनजानमा मानिस मार्ने व्यक्‍तिको निम्ति शरण-नगरको निम्ति एफ्राइमको पहाडी देशमा यसको खर्कसहित शकेम, गेजेर,

from the tribe of Ephraim, Shechem, one of the cities of refuge, with its suburbs, on mount Ephraim, and Gezer,

22 यसको खर्कसहित किब्सैम र यसको खर्कसहित बेथ-होरोन गरी चाटवटा सहर दिइयो ।

and Kibzaim, and Beth-horon, with their suburbs, four cities;

23 दानको कुलबाट कहातको कुललाई यसको खर्कसहित एल्तके, यसको खर्कसहित गिब्‍बतोन,

and from the tribe of Dan, Elteke and Gibbethon,

24 यसको खर्कसहित अय्यालोन र यसको खर्कसहित गात-रिम्मोन गरी चारवटा सहर दिइयो ।

and Aijalon and Gath-Rimmon, with their suburbs, four cities;

25 मनश्शेको कुलबाट कहातको कुललाई यसको खर्कसहित तानाक र यसको खर्कसहित गात-रिम्‍मोन गरी दुईवटा सहर दिइयो ।

then, from the one half tribe of Manasseh, Taanach and Gath-Rimmon, with their suburbs, two cities.

26 तिनीहरूका खर्कसहित बाँकी कहाती कुलका निम्ति दसवटा सहर थिए ।

All the cities were ten, with their suburbs; these were given to the sons of Kohath, of the lesser degree.

27 मनश्शेको आधा कुलबाट अन्य लेवी कुल अर्थात् गेर्शोनको कुललाई तिनीहरूले यसको खर्कसहित गोलान अनजानमा मानिसलाई मार्ने व्यक्‍तिको निम्ति शरण-नगर हुनलाई साथै यसको खर्कसहित बे-एश्तरा गरी दुईवटा दिए ।

Likewise, to the sons of Gershon, of the stock of Levi, from the one half tribe of Manasseh, went Golan in Bashan, one of the cities of refuge, and Bosra, with their suburbs, two cities;

28 गेर्सोनका कुललाई तिनीहरूले इस्साखारको कुलबाट यसको खर्कसहित किश्योन, यसको खर्कसहित दाबरत,

also, from the tribe of Issachar, Kishion, and Daberath,

29 यसको खर्कसहित यर्मूत र यसको खर्कसहित एन-गन्‍नीम गरी चारवटा सहर दिए ।

and Jarmuth, and Engannim, with their suburbs, four cities;

30 आशेरको कुलबाट तिनीहरूले यसको खर्कसहित मिशाल, यसको खर्कसहित अब्दोन,

then, from the tribe of Asher, Mishal and Abdon,

31 यसको खर्कसहित हल्केत र यसको खर्कसहित रहोब गरी चाटवटा सहर दिए ।

and Helkath and Rehob, with their suburbs, four cities;

32 नप्‍तलीको कुलबाट, तिनीहरूले गेर्शोनको कुललाई यसको खर्कसहित गालीलमा केदेश, कसैलाई अनजानमा मार्ने व्यक्‍तिको निम्ति शरण-नगरको रूपमा; यसको खर्कसहित हम्मोत-डोर र यसको खर्कसहित कर्तान गरी जम्मा तिनवटा सहर दिए ।

likewise, from the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee, one of the cities of refuge, and Hammoth-Dor, and Kartan, with their suburbs, three cities.

33 गेर्शोनको कुलबाट तिनीहरूका खर्कसहित जम्मा तेह्रवटा सहर थिए ।

All the cities of the families of Gershon were thirteen, with their suburbs.

34 बाँकी लेवीहरू माकीरको कुललाई जबूलूनको कुलबाट यी सहरहरू दिइयोः यसको खर्कसहित योक्‍नाम, यसको खर्कसहित कर्तह,

Then, to the sons of Merari, Levites of the lesser degree, by their families, were given, from the tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam and Kartah,

35 यसको खर्कसहित दिम्‍ना र यसको खर्कसहित नहलल गरी जम्मा चारवटा सहर दिइयो ।

and Dimnah and Nahalal, four cities with their suburbs;

36 मरारीको कुललाई यी सहरहरू दिइयोः यसको खर्कसहित बेसेर,

from the tribe of Reuben, beyond the Jordan, opposite Jericho, Bezer in the wilderness, one of the cities of refuge, Misor and Jazer, and Jethson and Mephaath, four cities with their suburbs;

37 यसको खर्कसहित यहसा, यसको खर्कसहित कदेमोत, र यसको खर्कसहित मेपात गरी चारवटा सहर ।

from the tribe of Gad, Ramoth of Gilead, one of the cities of refuge, and Mahanaim and Heshbon and Jazer, four cities with their suburbs.

38 गादको कुलबाट तिनीहरूले यसको खर्कसहित गिलादमा रामोतलाई अरूलाई अनजानमा मार्ने व्यक्‍तिको निम्ति शरण-नगरको रूपमा, र यसको खर्कसहित महनोम दिए ।

39 मरारीका कुललाई यसको खर्कसहित हेश्बोन र यसको खर्कसहित याजेर पनि दिइयो । यी चारवटा सहर थिए ।

40 यी सबै सहर मरारी कुलका थिए जो लेवी कुलबाटका थिए, तिनीहरूलाई चिट्ठा हालेर बाह्रवटा सहर दिइयो ।

All the cities of the sons of Merari, by their families and extended families, were twelve.

41 लेवीका सहरहरू इस्राएलका मानिसहरूको अधीनमा रहेको भू-भागको बिचबाट लिइएका सहरहरू तिनीहरूका खर्कसहित अठचालिसवटा थिए ।

And so all the cities of the Levites, in the midst of the possession of the sons of Israel, were forty-eight,

42 यी हरेक सहरको आ-आफ्नै खर्कहरू थिए । सबै सहरको यस्तै नै थियो ।

with their suburbs, each distributed by families.

43 यसरी परमप्रभुले इस्राएलका पुर्खाहरूलाई दिन्छु भनी प्रतिज्ञा गर्नुभएको सबै भू-भाग दिनुभयो । इस्राएलीहरूले यो कब्जा गरे र त्यहाँ बसोबास गरे ।

And the Lord God gave to Israel all the land that he had sworn he would deliver to their fathers. And they possessed it, and they lived in it.

44 त्यसपछि परमप्रभु तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूलाई प्रतिज्ञा गर्नुभएबमोजिम नै तिनीहरूलाई चारैतिर विश्राम दिनुभयो । तिनीहरूका एक जना शत्रुले पनि तिनीहरूलाई पराजित गर्न सकेन । परमप्रभुले तिनीहरूका सबै शत्रुलाई तिनीहरूका हातमा सुम्पिदिनुभयो ।

And he gave them peace with all the surrounding nations. And none of their enemies dared to stand against them; instead, they were brought under their sovereignty.

45 परमप्रभुले इस्राएलको घरानालाई भन्‍नुभएका सबै असल प्रतिज्ञाहरूमध्ये एउटा पनि सत्य हुन आउनबाट चुकेन । ती सबै नै पुरा हुन आए ।

Indeed, not so much as one word that he had promised to provide for them was left empty; instead, everything was fulfilled.
