योना 2
1 तब योनाले त्यस माछाको पेटबाट आफ्ना परमप्रभु परमेश्वरसँग प्रार्थना गरे ।
And Jonah prayed unto Jehovah his God out of the fish's belly;
2 तिनले भने, “मेरो सङ्कष्टको बारेमा मैले परमप्रभुलाई पुकारें र उहाँले मलाई जवाज दिनुभयो । चिहानको गर्भबाट मैले सहायताको निम्ति पुकारें! तपाईंले मेरो सोर सुन्नुभयो । (Sheol h7585)
and he said: I cried by reason of my distress unto Jehovah, and he answered me; Out of the belly of Sheol cried I: thou heardest my voice. (Sheol h7585)
3 तपाईंले मलाई गहिरा ठाउँहरूमा, समुद्रको अन्तस्करणमा नै फाल्नुभएको थियो, अनि धारहरूले मलाई घेरे, र तपाईंका सबै छालहरू र लहरहरू ममाथि भए ।
For thou didst cast me into the depth, into the heart of the seas, And the flood was round about me: All thy breakers and thy billows are gone over me.
4 मैले भनें, ‘तपाईंको नजरबाट म हटाइएको छु, अझै म फेरि तपाईंको पवित्र मन्दिरतिर आफ्ना आँखा लगाउनेछु ।’
And I said, I am cast out from before thine eyes, Yet will I look again toward thy holy temple.
5 पानीले मेरा घाँटीसम्म नै भर्यो । र मेरो सबैतिर समुद्रको गहिराइ थियो, र मेरो टाउकोमा समुद्रका झारहरू बेहेरिए ।
The waters encompassed me, to the soul: The deep was round about me, The weeds were wrapped about my head.
6 पहाडका फेदहरूमा म तल गएँ, र पृथ्वीले आफ्ना घेराहरूले सदाको निम्ति मलाई थुनिदियो । तापनि हे परमप्रभु, मेरा परमेश्वर, तपाईंले मेरो जीवनलाई खाडलबाट माथि ल्याउनुभयो ।
I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; The bars of the earth [closed] upon me for ever: But thou hast brought up my life from the pit, O Jehovah my God.
7 जब मेरो प्राणले मभित्रै मुर्छा खायो, तब मैले परमप्रभुलाई याद गरें, अनि मेरो प्रार्थना तपाईंकहाँ, तपाईंको पवित्र मन्दिरमा आयो ।
When my soul fainted within me, I remembered Jehovah; And my prayer came in unto thee, Into thy holy temple.
8 तिनीहरूले प्रेमपुर्ण विश्वस्ततालाई प्रेम गर्न छोड्दा, तिनीहरूले बेकारका देवताहरूमाथि ध्यान लगाए ।
They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.
9 तर मेरो बारेमा, उच्च सोरले म तपाईंलाई धन्यवादको बलिदान चढाउँछु । मैले गरेको भाकल म पुरा गर्नेछु । मुक्ति परमप्रभुबाट नै आउँछ!”
But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that which I have vowed. Salvation is of Jehovah.
10 त्यसपछि परमप्रभुले माछालाई आज्ञा गर्नुभयो, र त्यसले योनालाई सुख्खा जमिनमा उकेलिदियो ।
And Jehovah commanded the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry [land].
