यूहन्ना 7
1 अनि यी कुराहरू भएपछि येशू गालीलभरि यात्रा गर्नुभयो, किनभने यहूदीहरूले उहाँलाई मार्न खोजिरहेका हुनाले उहाँ यहूदियामा जान चाहनुभएन ।
After this Jesus moved from place to place in Galilee. He would not go about in Judaea, because the Jews were seeking an opportunity to kill Him.
2 यहूदीहरूको छाप्रो-वास चाड नजिकै आएको थियो ।
But the Jewish Festival of the Tent-Pitching was approaching.
3 यसकारण, उहाँका भाइहरूले उहाँलाई भने, “यो ठाउँ छोडेर यहूदियामा जानुहोस्, ताकि तपाईंका चेलाहरूले पनि तपाईंले गर्नुहुने कामहरू देख्न सकून् ।
So His brothers said to Him, "Leave these parts and go into Judaea, that not only we but your disciples also may witness the miracles which you perform.
4 यदि उसले आफैँलाई खुला रूपमा चिनाउन चाहन्छ भने कसैले पनि कुनै कुरा गुप्तमा गर्दैन । यदि तपाईंले यी कुराहरू गर्नहुन्छ भने आफूलाई संसारमा देखाउनुहोस् ।”
For no one acts in secret, desiring all the while to be himself known publicly. Since you are doing these things, show yourself openly to the world."
5 किनकि उहाँका भाइहरूले पनि उहाँलाई विश्वास गर्दैनथे ।
For even His brothers were not believers in Him.
6 त्यसकारण येशूले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “मेरो समय अझै आएको छैन, तर तिमीहरूको समय सधैँ तयार छ ।
"My time," replied Jesus, "has not yet come, but for you any time is suitable.
7 संसारले तिमीहरूलाई घृणा गर्न सक्दैन, तर यसले मलाई घृणा गर्छ, किनभने यसको काम खराब छ भनेर यसको बारेमा म गवाही दिन्छु ।
It is impossible for the world to hate you; but me it does hate, because I give testimony concerning it that its conduct is evil.
8 तिमीहरू चाडमा जाओ, म यो चाडमा जाँदिनँ, किनभने मेरो समय अहिलेसम्म पुरा भएको छैन ।”
As for you, go up to the Festival. I do not now go up to this Festival, because my time is not yet fully come."
9 उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई यी कुराहरू भन्नुभएपछि उहाँ गालीलमा नै बस्नुभयो ।
Such was His answer, and He remained in Galilee.
10 तर जब उहाँका भाइहरू चाडमा गए, तब उहाँ पनि खुलमखुल्ला होइन, तर गोप्य तरिकाले जानुभयो ।
When however His brothers had gone up to the Festival, then He also went up, not openly, but as it were privately.
11 यहूदीहरूले उहाँलाई चाडमा खोजिरहेका थिए र भने, “उनी कहाँ छन्?”
Meanwhile the Jews at the Festival were looking for Him and were inquiring, "Where is he?"
12 त्यहाँ भिडहरूमा उहाँको बारेमा धेरै बहस भएको थियो । कसैले भने, “उनी असल मानिस हुन् ।” अरूहरूले भने, “होइन, यसले भिडहरूलाई बहकाउँछ ।”
Among the mass of the people there was much muttered debate about Him. Some said, "He is a good man." Others said, "Not so: he is imposing on the people."
13 तैपनि यहूदीहरूको डरको कारणले कसैले पनि खुलमखुल्ला बोलेन ।
Yet for fear of the Jews no one spoke out boldly about Him.
14 जब चाड आधा सिद्धिएको थियो, येशू मन्दिरमा जानुभयो र सिकाउन सुरु गर्नुभयो ।
But when the Festival was already half over, Jesus went up to the Temple and commenced teaching.
15 यहूदीहरू अचम्मित भएर यसो भने, “यो मानिसले कसरी यति धेरै जान्दछ? यसलाई त कहिल्यै पनि शिक्षा दिइएको छैन ।”
The Jews were astonished. "How does this man know anything of books," they said, "although he has never been at any of the schools?"
16 येशूले तिनीहरूलाई जवाफ दिनुभयो, र भन्नुभयो, “मैले दिएको शिक्षा मेरो होइन, तर उहाँको हो जसले मलाई पठाउनुभयो ।
Jesus answered their question by saying, "My teaching does not belong to me, but comes from Him who sent me.
17 यदि कसैले उहाँको इच्छा पालन गर्ने इच्छा गर्छ भने यो परमेश्वरबाट आएको हो वा म मेरो आफ्नै तर्फबाट बोल्छु भनी त्यसले यो शिक्षाबारे जान्नेछ ।
If any one is willing to do His will, he shall know about the teaching, whether it is from God or originates with me.
18 आफ्नै तर्फबाट बोल्नेले उसको आफ्नै महिमा खोज्दछ, तर जसले आफूलाई पठाउनुहुनेको महिमा खोज्दछ, त्यो व्यक्ति सत्य हो र उसमा कुनै अधार्मिकता हुँदैन ।
The man whose teaching originates with himself aims at his own glory. He who aims at the glory of Him who sent him teaches the truth, and there is no deception in him.
19 के मोशाले तिमीहरूलाई व्यवस्था दिएनन् र? तैपनि तिमीहरू कसैले व्यवस्था पालन गर्दैनौ । तिमीहरू मलाई किन मार्न चाहन्छौ?”
Did not Moses give you the Law? And yet not a man of you obeys the Law. Why do you want to kill me?"
20 भिडले जवाफ दियो, “तिमीलाई भूत लागेको छ । तिमीलाई कसले मार्न खोज्छ?”
"You are possessed by a demon," replied the crowd; "no one wants to kill you."
21 येशूले तिनीहरूलाई जवाफ दिनुभयो, र भन्नुभयो, “मैले एउटा काम गरेँ, र यसको कारण तिमीहरू सबै चकित हुन्छौ ।
"One deed I have done," replied Jesus, "and you are all full of wonder.
22 मोशाले तिमीहरूलाई खतनाको रीति दिए (यो मोशाबाट आएको होइन, तर पुर्खाहरूबाट आएको हो) अनि तिमीहरूले मानिसलाई विश्रामको दिनमा खतना गर्दछौ ।
Consider therefore. Moses gave you the rite of circumcision (not that it began with Moses, but with your earlier forefathers), and even on a Sabbath day you circumcise a child.
23 मोशाको व्यवस्था भङ्ग नहोस् भनेर यदि एक जना मानिसले विश्रामको दिनमा खतना गर्न स्वीकार गर्छ भने तब मैले विश्रामको दिनमा एक जना मानिसलाई पूर्ण रूपमा स्वस्थ बनाएकोमा तिमीहरू मसँग किन रिसाउँछौ?”
If a child is circumcised even on a Sabbath day, are you bitter against me because I have restored a man to perfect health on a Sabbath day?
24 बाहिरी रूप हेरेर न्याय नगर, तर धार्मिकतापूर्वक न्याय गर ।
Do not form superficial judgements, but form the judgements that are just."
25 यरूशलेमबाट आएका केहीले भने, “के तिनीहरूले मार्न खोजेका यिनी नै होइनन्?
Some however of the people of Jerusalem said, "Is not this the man they are wanting to kill?
26 अनि हेर, यिनी खुलमखुला बोल्छन् र तिनीहरू यिनलाई केही पनि भन्दैनन् । वास्तवमा शासकहरूले यिनी नै ख्रीष्ट हुन् भन्ने जान्न सक्दैनन्, जान्न सक्छन् त?
But here he is, speaking openly and boldly, and they say nothing to him! Can the Rulers really have ascertained that this man is the Christ?
27 तापनि यो मानिस कहाँबाट आएको हो हामी जान्दछौँ । तर जब ख्रीष्ट आउनुहुन्छ उहाँ कहाँबाट आउनुहुन्छ कसैले पनि जान्नेछैन ।”
And yet we know this man, and we know where he is from; but as for the Christ, when He comes, no one can tell where He is from."
28 त्यसपछि येशूले मन्दिरमा सिकाइरहनुहुँदा ठुलो सोरमा यसो भन्नुभयो, “तिमीहरूले मलाई र म कहाँबाट आएको भनी दुवै जान्दछौ । म आफ्नै तर्फबाट आएको होइन, तर जसले मलाई पठाउनुभयो उहाँ सत्य हुनुहुन्छ जसलाई तिमीहरू चिन्दैनौँ ।
Jesus therefore, while teaching in the Temple, cried aloud, and said, "Yes, you know me, and you know where I am from. And yet I have not come of my own accord; but there is One who has sent me, an Authority indeed, of whom you have no knowledge.
29 म उहाँलाई चिन्दछु, किनभने म उहाँबाट आएको हुँ र उहाँले मलाई पठाउनुभयो ।”
I know Him, because I came from Him, and He sent me."
30 तिनीहरूले उहाँलाई पक्रन कोसिस गरिरहेका थिए, तर उहाँमाथि कसैले पनि हात हालेन, किनभने उहाँको समय अझ पनि आएको थिएन ।
On hearing this they wanted to arrest Him; yet not a hand was laid on Him, because His time had not yet come.
31 तर भिडका धेरैले उहाँमाथि विश्वास गरे, र तिनीहरूले भने, “के ख्रीष्ट आउनुहुँदा उहाँले यो मानिसले गरेको भन्दा धेरै चिह्नहरू गर्नुहुनेछ र?”
But from among the crowd a large number believed in Him. "When the Christ comes," they said, "will He perform more miracles than this teacher has performed?"
32 भिडले येशूको बारेमा यी कुराहरूबारे खासखुस गरेको फरिसीहरूले सुने, अनि मुख्य पुजारी र फरिसीहरूले उहाँलाई पक्रन अधिकारीहरूलाई पठाए ।
The Pharisees heard the people thus expressing their various doubts about Him, and the High Priests and the Pharisees sent some officers to apprehend Him.
33 त्यसपछि येशूले भन्नुभयो, “म अझै केही समयसम्म तिमीहरूसँगै हुन्छु, र त्यसपछि म मलाई पठाउनुहुनेकहाँ जान्छु ।
So Jesus said, "Still for a short time I am with you, and then I go my way to Him who sent me.
34 तिमीहरूले मलाई खोज्नेछौ, तर तिमीहरूले मलाई भेट्टाउनेछैनौ, म जहाँ जान्छु तिमीहरू त्यहाँ आउन सक्नेछैनौ ।”
You will look for me and will not find me, and where I am you cannot come."
35 त्यसकारण यहूदीहरूले तिनीहरू माझमै भने, “यी मानिस कहाँ जानेछन्, कि हामी यिनलाई भेट्न नसकौँ? के यिनी ग्रिकहरूका बिचमा छरपष्ट भएकाहरूकहाँ जानेछन् र ग्रिकहरूलाई सिकाउनेछन्?”
The Jews therefore said to one another, "Where is he about to betake himself, so that we shall not find him? Will he betake himself to the Dispersion among the Gentiles, and teach the Gentiles?
36 यिनले ‘तिमीहरूले मलाई खोज्नेछौ, तर तिमीहरूले मलाई भेट्टाउनेछैनौ, म जहाँ जान्छु तिमीहरू त्यहाँ आउन सक्नेछैनौ’ भनेको वचन के हो?”
What do those words of his mean, 'You will look for me, but will not find me, and where I am you cannot come'?"
37 चाडको अन्तिम महान् दिनमा येशू खडा हुनुभयो र ठुलो सोरमा भन्नुभयो, “यदि कोही तिर्खाएको छ भने त्यो मकहाँ आओस् र पिओस् ।
On the last day of the Festival--the great day--Jesus stood up and cried aloud. "Whoever is thirsty," He said, "let him come to me and drink.
38 धर्मशास्त्रले भनेझैँ जसले मलाई विश्वास गर्छ त्यसको पेटबाट जीवित पानीका नदीहरू बग्नेछन् ।”
He who believes in me, from within him--as the Scripture has said--rivers of living water shall flow."
39 तर उहाँले यो पवित्र आत्माको बारेमा भन्नुभएको थियो जसलाई उहाँमा विश्वास गर्नेहरूले प्राप्त गर्थे । पवित्र आत्मा अझ पनि दिइएको थिएन, किनभने येशू अझ पनि महिमित हुनुभएको थिएन ।
He referred to the Spirit which those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not bestowed as yet, because Jesus had not yet been glorified.
40 जब तिनीहरूले यी वचनहरू सुने भिडका केहीले भने, “यिनी साँच्चै अगमवक्ता नै हुन् ।”
After listening to these discourses, some of the crowd began to say, "This is beyond doubt the Prophet."
41 अरूहरूले भने, “यिनी ख्रीष्ट हुन् ।” तर कोहीले भने, “के ख्रीष्ट गालीलबाट आउँछन् त?
Others said, "He is the Christ." But others again, "Not so, for is the Christ to come from Galilee?
42 के धर्मशास्त्रले ख्रीष्ट बेथलेहम अर्थात् दाऊद बसेका गाउँबाट र दाऊदका सन्तानहरूबाट नै आउनुहुनेछ भनेको छैन र?”
Has not the Scripture declared that the Christ is to come of the family of David and from Bethlehem, David's village?"
43 यसरी त्यहाँ उहाँको कारणले भिडहरूमा विभाजन आयो ।
So there was a violent dissension among the people on His account.
44 तिनीहरूमध्ये कतिले उहाँलाई पक्रे, तर कसैले पनि उहाँमाथि हात हालेन ।
Some of them wanted at once to arrest Him, but no one laid hands upon Him.
45 त्यसपछि अधिकारीहरू मुख्य पुजारीहरू र फरिसीहरूकहाँ फर्केर आए, जसले तिनीहरूलाई भने, “तिमीहरूले त्यसलाई किन ल्याएनौ?”
Meanwhile the officers returned to the High Priests and Pharisees, who asked them, "Why have you not brought him?"
46 अधिकारीहरूले जवाफ दिए, “कोही मानिसले पनि कहिल्यै यसरी बोलेको छैन ।”
"No mere man has ever spoken as this man speaks," said the officers.
47 त्यसकारण फरिसीहरूले तिनीहरूलाई जवाफ दिए, “के तिमीहरू पनि छलियौ?
"Are you deluded too?" replied the Pharisees;
48 के कुनै शासकहरू वा फरिसीहरू कसैले त्यसमाथि विश्वास गरेका छन्?
"has any one of the Rulers or of the Pharisees believed in him?
49 तर यो भिडले व्यवस्था जान्दैन, तिनीहरू श्रापितहरू हुन् ।”
But this rabble who understand nothing about the Law are accursed!"
50 निकोदेमस (पहिला नै येशूकहाँ आउने एक जना फरिसी) ले तिनीहरूलाई भने,
Nicodemus interposed--he who had formerly gone to Jesus, being himself one of them.
51 “के हाम्रो व्यवस्थाले एउटा मानिसलाई त्यसबाट सुन्न र त्यसले के गर्छ भनी जान्न अगि न्याय गर्छ र?”
"Does our Law," he asked, "judge a man without first hearing what he has to say and ascertaining what his conduct is?"
52 तिनीहरूले जवाफ दिए र उनलाई भने, “के तिमी पनि गालीलबाट आएका हौ? खोज र हेर गालीलबाट कुनै पनि अगमवक्ता आउँदैन ।”
"Do you also come from Galilee?" they asked in reply. "Search and see for yourself that no Prophet is of Galilaean origin."
53 (नोटः उत्कृष्ट प्राचीन प्रतिलिपीहरूले यूहन्ना ७:५३-८:११लाई हटाएका छन् । ) [तब सबै जना आ-आफ्नो घरतिर गए । ]
[So they went away to their several homes;
