यूहन्ना 3
1 अब त्यहाँ निकोदेमस नाउँ गरेका एक जना यहूदी अगुवा थिए ।
And there was a man of the Pharisees, Nicodemus his name, a ruler of the Jews,
2 यी मानिस राति येशूकहाँ आए, र उहाँलाई भने, “गुरुज्यू, हामी जान्दछौँ, कि तपाईं परमेश्वरबाट आउनुभएका एक जना शिक्षक हुनुहुन्छ, किनकि तपाईंले गर्नुभएका यी चिह्नहरू परमेश्वर त्यससँग नभईकन कसैले पनि गर्न सक्दैन ।”
this one came unto him by night, and said to him, 'Rabbi, we have known that from God thou hast come — a teacher, for no one these signs is able to do that thou dost, if God may not be with him.'
3 येशूले तिनलाई जवाफ दिनुभयो, “साँचो, साँचो म तिमीलाई भन्दछु, कोही फेरि नजन्मिएसम्म, त्यसले परमेश्वरको राज्य देख्न सक्दैन ।”
Jesus answered and said to him, 'Verily, verily, I say to thee, If any one may not be born from above, he is not able to see the reign of God;'
4 निकोदेमसले उहाँलाई भने “मानिस वृद्ध भएपछि कसरी जन्मन सक्छ? ऊ फेरि दोस्रो पल्ट उसकी आमाको गर्भमा पस्न, र जन्मन सक्दैन, सक्छ त?
Nicodemus saith unto him, 'How is a man able to be born, being old? is he able into the womb of his mother a second time to enter, and to be born?'
5 येशूले जवाफ दिनुभयो, “साँचो, साँचो म तिमीलाई भन्दछु, कोही पनि पानी र आत्माबाट नजन्मेसम्म ऊ परमेश्वरको राज्यमा पस्न सक्दैन ।
Jesus answered, 'Verily, verily, I say to thee, If any one may not be born of water, and the Spirit, he is not able to enter into the reign of God;
6 शरीरबाट जन्मेको शरीर हो, र पवित्र आत्माबाट जन्मेको आत्मा हो ।
that which hath been born of the flesh is flesh, and that which hath been born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 मैले तिमीलाई, ‘तिमी फेरि जन्मनुपर्छ’ भनेकोमा अचम्म नमान ।
'Thou mayest not wonder that I said to thee, It behoveth you to be born from above;
8 हावा जता चाहन्छ त्यतै बहन्छ; तिमीले यसको आवाज सुन्छौ; तर यो कहाँबाट आउँछ, र कतातिर गइरहेको छ तिमी जान्दैनौ । पवित्र आत्माबाट जन्मेका सबै त्यस्तै हुन्छन् ।”
the Spirit where he willeth doth blow, and his voice thou dost hear, but thou hast not known whence he cometh, and whither he goeth; thus is every one who hath been born of the Spirit.'
9 निकोदेमसले जवाफ दिए, र उहाँलाई भने, “यी कुराहरू कसरी हुन सक्छन्”?
Nicodemus answered and said to him, 'How are these things able to happen?'
10 येशूले तिनलाई जवाफ दिनुभयो, “के तिमी इस्राएलका शिक्षक भएर पनि यी कुराहरू बुझ्दैनौ?
Jesus answered and said to him, 'Thou art the teacher of Israel — and these things thou dost not know!
11 साँचो, साँचो म तिमीलाई भन्दछु, कि हामी जे जान्दछौँ, त्यहीँ भन्छौँ, र हामीले जे देखेका छौँ, त्यसैको गवाही दिन्छौँ । तापनि तिमीहरू हाम्रो गवाही स्वीकार गर्दैनौ ।
'Verily, verily, I say to thee — What we have known we speak, and what we have seen we testify, and our testimony ye do not receive;
12 यदि मैले तिमीलाई पृथ्वीको कुरा भनेँ भने तिमीहरू विश्वास गर्दैनौ, यदि मैले स्वर्गका कुराहरू भनेँ भने तिमीले कसरी विश्वास गर्छौ?
if the earthly things I said to you, and ye do not believe, how, if I shall say to you the heavenly things, will ye believe?
13 स्वर्गबाट ओर्लिआउनुभएका मानिसका पुत्रबाहेक कोही पनि स्वर्गमा उक्लेको छैन ।
and no one hath gone up to the heaven, except he who out of the heaven came down — the Son of Man who is in the heaven.
14 जसरी मोशाले उजाड-स्थानमा सर्पलाई उचाले, त्यसै गरी मानिसका पुत्र पनि उचालिनुपर्छ,
'And as Moses did lift up the serpent in the wilderness, so it behoveth the Son of Man to be lifted up,
that every one who is believing in him may not perish, but may have life age-during, (aiōnios g166)
16 किनभने परमेश्वरले संसारलाई यस्तो प्रेम गर्नुभयो, कि उहाँले आफ्ना एक मात्र पुत्र दिनुभयो, ताकि उहाँमा विश्वास गर्ने कोही पनि नमरोस्, तर उसले अनन्त जीवन पाओस् । (aiōnios g166)
for God did so love the world, that His Son — the only begotten — He gave, that every one who is believing in him may not perish, but may have life age-during. (aiōnios g166)
17 किनकि परमेश्वरले यस संसारलाई दण्ड दिन होइन, तर उहाँद्वारा संसारलाई बचाउन आफ्ना पुत्र पठाउनुभयो ।
For God did not send His Son to the world that he may judge the world, but that the world may be saved through him;
18 उहाँमा विश्वास गर्ने दण्डित हुँदैन, तर उहाँमा विश्वास नगर्ने अगि नै दण्डित भइसकेको छ, किनभने त्यसले परमेश्वरका एक मात्र पुत्रको नाउँमा विश्वास गरेको छैन ।
he who is believing in him is not judged, but he who is not believing hath been judged already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 न्यायको कारण यही होः ज्योति संसारमा आउनुभएको छ, र मानिसहरूले ज्योतिभन्दा अन्धकारलाई नै रुचाए, किनभने तिनीहरूका कामहरू दुष्ट थिए ।
'And this is the judgment, that the light hath come to the world, and men did love the darkness rather than the light, for their works were evil;
20 किनकि दुष्ट काम गर्ने हरेकले ज्योतिलाई घृणा गर्छ, र त्यो ज्योतितर्फ आउँदैन, ताकि त्यसका कार्यहरू प्रकट नहोऊन् ।
for every one who is doing wicked things hateth the light, and doth not come unto the light, that his works may not be detected;
21 तापनि सत्य काम गर्ने ज्योतिमा आउँछ, ताकि परमेश्वरमा गरिएका त्यसका कामहरू प्रकट होऊन् ।
but he who is doing the truth doth come to the light, that his works may be manifested, that in God they are having been wrought.'
22 त्यसपछि येशू र उहाँका चेलाहरू यहूदियामा जानुभयो । त्यहाँ उहाँले तिनीहरूसँग केही समय बिताउनुभयो र बप्तिस्मा दिनुभयो ।
After these things came Jesus and his disciples to the land of Judea, and there he did tarry with them, and was baptizing;
23 अहिले यूहन्नाले पनि सालीम नजिकैको एनोनमा बप्तिस्मा दिइरहेका थिए, किनभने त्यहाँ धेरै पानी थियो । मानिसहरू उनीकहाँ आइरहेका थिए, र तिनीहरूले बप्तिस्मा लिँदै थिए ।
and John was also baptizing in Aenon, nigh to Salem, because there were many waters there, and they were coming and were being baptized —
24 किनकि यूहन्ना यस बेलासम्म झ्यालखानामा परेका थिएनन् ।
for John was not yet cast into the prison —
25 त्यहाँ यूहन्नाका केही चेलाहरू र एक जना यहूदीबिच विधिवत् शुद्धिकरणको विषयमा विवाद भयो ।
there arose then a question from the disciples of John with [some] Jews about purifying,
26 तिनीहरू यूहन्नाकहाँ गए, तिनलाई भने “गुरुज्यू, हेर्नुहोस्, यर्दन नदीको पारिपट्टि तपाईंसँग हुनुहुने र तपाईंले गवाही दिनुभएको व्यक्तिले बप्तिस्मा दिइरहनुभएको छ र तिनीहरू सबै उहाँकहाँ गइरहेका छन् ।”
and they came unto John, and said to him, 'Rabbi, he who was with thee beyond the Jordan, to whom thou didst testify, lo, this one is baptizing, and all are coming unto him.'
27 यूहन्नाले जवाफ दिए “मानिसलाई स्वर्गबाट नदिएसम्म त्यसले कुनै पनि कुरा प्राप्त गर्न सक्दैन ।
John answered and said, 'A man is not able to receive anything, if it may not have been given him from the heaven;
28 तिमीहरू आफैँ गवाही दिन सक्छौ, कि मैले भनेँ, ‘म ख्रीष्ट होइनँ,’ तर बरु ‘म उहाँभन्दा अगि पठाइएको हुँ ।’
ye yourselves do testify to me that I said, I am not the Christ, but, that I am having been sent before him;
29 दुलहीचाहिँ दुलहाको नै हो । दुलहाको छेउमा खडा हुने र उहाँको आवाज सुन्ने साथी दुलहाको आवाज सुनेर धेरै आनन्दित हुन्छ । तब मेरो आनन्द पुरा हुनेछ ।
he who is having the bride is bridegroom, and the friend of the bridegroom, who is standing and hearing him, with joy doth rejoice because of the voice of the bridegroom; this, then, my joy hath been fulfilled.
30 उहाँ बढ्नुपर्छ र म घट्नुपर्छ ।
'Him it behoveth to increase, and me to become less;
31 माथिबाट आउनुहुने सबैभन्दा माथि हुनुहुन्छ । जो पृथ्वीबाटको हो त्यो पृथ्वीकै हो, र त्यसले पृथ्वीका कुराहरू बोल्दछ । जो स्वर्गबाट आउनुहुन्छ, उहाँ सबैभन्दा माथि हुनुहुन्छ ।
he who from above is coming is above all; he who is from the earth, from the earth he is, and from the earth he speaketh; he who from the heaven is coming is above all.
32 उहाँले जे देख्नु र सुन्नुभएको छ, त्यसको गवाही दिनुहुन्छ, तर उहाँको गवाही कसैले स्वीकार गर्दैन ।
'And what he hath seen and heard this he doth testify, and his testimony none receiveth;
33 उहाँको गवाही ग्रहण गर्नेले परमेश्वर सत्य हुनुहुन्छ भन्ने पुष्टि गरेको छ ।
he who is receiving his testimony did seal that God is true;
34 किनकि परमेश्वरले जसलाई पठउनुभएको छ, त्यसले उहाँको वचन बोल्छ । किनकि उहाँले पवित्र आत्मा नापतौल गरेर दिनुहुन्न ।
for he whom God sent, the sayings of God he speaketh; for not by measure doth God give the Spirit;
35 पिताले पुत्रलाई प्रेम गर्नुहुन्छ, र उहाँले सबै कुरा उहाँको हातमा दिनुभएको छ ।
the Father doth love the Son, and all things hath given into his hand;
36 पुत्रमा विश्वास गर्नेसँग अनन्त जीवन हुन्छ, तर पुत्रको अवाज्ञा गर्नेले जीवन देख्नेछैन, तर त्यसमाथि परमेश्वरको क्रोध पर्नेछ ।” (aiōnios g166)
he who is believing in the Son, hath life age-during; and he who is not believing the Son, shall not see life, but the wrath of God doth remain upon him.' (aiōnios g166)
