योएल 2
1 सियोनमा तुरही फुक, र मेरो पवित्र पर्वतमा चेतावनी ध्वनि बजाओ! देशका सबै बासिन्दाहरू डरले थरथर होऊन्, किनकि परमप्रभुको दिन आउँदैछ, वास्तवमा, त्यो नजिकै छ ।
Blowe the trumpet in Zion, and shoute in mine holy mountaine: let all the inhabitants of the lande tremble: for the day of the Lord is come: for it is at hand.
2 यो अन्धकार र उदासको दिन हो, बादलहरू र बाक्लो अन्धकारको दिन हो । जसरी पर्वतहरूमा झिसमिसे बिहानी फैलिन्छ, त्यसरी नै एउटा ठुलो र शक्तिशाली सेना नजिक आउँदैछ । त्यस्तो सेना पहिले कहिल्यै थिएन, अनि पुस्तौं-पुस्ता पछिसम्म पनि, त्यहाँ त्यस्तो फेरि कहिल्यै हुनेछैन ।
A day of darkenesse, and of blacknesse, a day of cloudes, and obscuritie, as the morning spred vpon the mountaines, so is there a great people, and a mighty: there was none like it from the beginning, neither shalbe any more after it, vnto the yeeres of many generations.
3 त्यसको अगाडिका सबै कुरालाई आगोले भष्म पार्दैछ, र त्यसको पछाडि आगोको ज्वाला बलिरहेको छ । त्यसको अगाडिको देश अदनको बगैंचाजस्तो छ, तर त्यसको पछाडि एउटा नाश भएको उजाड-स्थान छ । त्यसबाट कुनै कुरा फुत्कनेछैन ।
A fire deuoureth before him, and behinde him a flame burneth vp: the land is as the garden of Eden before him, and behinde him a desolate wildernesse, so that nothing shall escape him.
4 त्यो सेना घोडाहरूझैं देखा पर्छ, र तिनीहरू घोडचढीहरूझैं दौडन्छन् ।
The beholding of him is like the sight of horses, and like the horsemen, so shall they runne.
5 पर्वतहरूका टाकुराहरूमा रथहरूले गरेझैं, झिंजाहरू भस्म पार्ने भयङ्कर ज्वालाको आवाजझैं, युद्धको निम्ति तयार भएको शक्तिशाली सेनाझैं, आवाज गरेर तिनीहरू उफ्रन्छन् ।
Like the noyse of charrets in the toppes of the mountaines shall they leape, like the noyse of a flame of fire that deuoureth the stubble, and as a mightie people prepared to the battel.
6 तिनीहरूको उपस्थितिले मानिसहरू वेदनामा पर्छन्, अनि तिनीहरूका सम्पूर्ण अनुहार पहेंलो हुन्छ ।
Before his face shall the people tremble: all faces shall gather blackenesse.
7 शक्तिशाली लडाकुहरूझैं तिनीहरू दौडन्छन्, सेनाहरूझैं तिनीहरू पर्खालहरूमा चढ्छन्, तिनीहरू हरेक व्यक्ति पङ्तिवद्ध भएर हिंड्छन्, र आफ्नो पङ्तिलाई बिगार्दैनन् ।
They shall runne like strong men, and goe vp to the wall like men of warre, and euery man shall goe forward in his wayes, and they shall not stay in their paths.
8 न त एउटाले अर्कालाई धक्का दिन्छन् । तिनीहरू प्रत्येक नै आ-आफ्नै बाटोमा हिंड्छन् । तिनीहरू सुरक्षाबलहरूलाई तोड्दै अघि बढ्छन्, र आफ्नो लाइनभन्दा बाहिर पुग्दैनन् ।
Neither shall one thrust another, but euery one shall walke in his path: and when they fall vpon the sword, they shall not be wounded.
9 तिनीहरूले सहरलाई आक्रमण गर्छन्, तिनीहरू पर्खालमा दौडन्छन्, तिनीहरू घरहरूमाथि चढ्छन्, र चोरहरूझैं तिनीहरू झ्यालहरूबाट भित्र जान्छन् ।
They shall runne to and from in the citie: they shall runne vpon the wall: they shall clime vp vpon the houses, and enter in at ye windowes like ye thiefe.
10 तिनीहरूको अगि पृथ्वी काम्छ, आकाश थरथर हुन्छ, सूर्य र चन्द्रमा अँध्यारो हुन्छन्, अनि ताराहरू चम्कन छोड्छन् ।
The earth shall tremble before him, ye heauens shall shake, the sunne and the moone shalbe darke, and the starres shall withdraw their shining,
11 परमप्रभुले आफ्नो सेनाको सामु ठुलो सोरले कराउनुहुन्छ, किनकि उहाँका योद्धाहरू असङ्ख्य छन्, किनकि उहाँका आज्ञा पालन गर्नेहरू, ती बलिया छन् । किनकि परमप्रभुको दिन महान् र अत्यन्तै भयानक हुन्छ । त्यसबाट को बाँच्न सक्छ र?
And the Lord shall vtter his voyce before his hoste: for his hoste is very great: for he is strog that doeth his word: for the day of the Lord is great and very terrible, and who can abide it?
12 परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ “अहिले पनि, आफ्ना सारा हृदयले मकाहाँ फर्क । उपवास बस, रोओ, र विलाप गर ।”
Therefore also now the Lord sayth, Turne you vnto me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning,
13 आफ्ना लुगामात्र होइन तर आफ्ना हृदय पनि धुजाधुजा पार, र परमप्रभु आफ्ना परमेश्वरकाहाँ फर्क । किनकि उहाँ अनुग्रही र कृपापूर्ण, रिसाउनमा ढिला र करारको विश्वसततामा प्रशस्त हुनुहुन्छ, र दण्डको पिडा दिनबाट उहाँ पर्कन चाहनुहुन्न ।
And rent your heart, and not your clothes: and turne vnto the Lord your God, for he is gratious, and mercifull, slowe to anger, and of great kindnes, and repenteth him of the euill.
14 कसले जान्दछ? सायद उहाँ पर्कनुहुन्छ, र दया देखाउनुहुन्छ, र आफ्नो पछि आशिष् छोड्नुहुन्छ, तिमीहरूका परमप्रभु परमेश्वरका निम्ति अन्नबलि र अर्घबलि दिनुहुन्छ कि?
Who knoweth, is he wil returne and repent and leaue a blessing behinde him, euen a meate offring, and a drinke offring vnto ye Lord your God?
15 सियोनमा तुरही फुक, पवित्र उपवासको आव्हान गर, र पवित्र सभा बोलाओ ।
Blowe the trumpet in Zion, sanctifie a fast, call a solemne assembly.
16 मानिसहरूलाई भेला गराओ, पवित्र सभा बोलाओ । धर्मगुरुहरूलाई भेला गर, बालबालिका र दूधे बालकहरूलाई भेला गराओ । दुलहाहरू आफ्ना कोठाहरूबाट बाहिर आऊन्, अनि दुलहीहरू आफ्ना सृङ्गारका कोठाहरूबाट बाहिर आऊन् ।
Gather the people: sanctifie the congregation, gather the elders: assemble the children, and those that sucke the breastes: let the bridegrome go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her bride chamber.
17 पुजारीहरू, परमप्रभुका सेवकहरू, दलान र वेदीको बिचमा रोऊन् । तिनीहरूले यसो भनून्, “हे परमप्रभु, आफ्ना मानिसहरू बाँकी राख्नुहोस्, र आफ्नो उत्तराधिकारलाई घृणाको पात्र बन्न नदिनुहोस्, र जातिहरूले तिनीहरूको गिल्ला नगरून् । तिनीहरूले जातिहरूका बिचमा यस्तो किन भन्नू, ‘तिनीहरूका परमेश्वर कहाँ छ?’”
Let the Priestes, the ministers of the Lord weepe betweene the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O Lord, and giue not thine heritage into reproche that the heathen should rule ouer them. Wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?
18 आफ्नो देशको निम्ति परमप्रभु डाही हुनुभयो र आफ्ना मानिसहरूलाई दया देखाउनुभयो ।
Then will the Lord be ielous ouer his land, and spare his people.
19 परमप्रभुले आफ्ना मानिसहरूलाई जवाफ दिनुभयो, “हेर, म तिमीहरूका निम्ति अन्न, नयाँ दाखमद्य, र तेल पठाउनेछु । ती कुराहरूले तिमीहरू सन्तुष्ट हुनेछौ, र तिमीहरूलाई फेरि म जातिहरूका बिचमा अपमानित तुल्याउनेछैनँ ।
Yea, the Lord wil answere and say vnto his people, Beholde, I will send you corne, and wine, and oyle, and you shalbe satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a reproche among the heathen,
20 उत्तरबाट आक्रमण गर्नेहरूलाई म तिमीहरूबाट टाढा हटाइदिनेछु, र तिनीहरूलाई एउटा सुक्खा र त्यागिएको देशमा लखेटिदिनेछु । तिनीहरूको सेनाको अग्रपङ्क्ति पूर्वीय समुद्रमा, अनि पछिल्लो पङ्क्तिचाहिं पश्चिमी समुद्रमा जानेछ । त्यसको दुर्गन्ध माथि उठ्नेछ, त्यसको सडेको दुर्गन्ध माथि उठ्नेछ ।” निश्चय नै उहाँले महान् काम गर्नुभएको छ ।
But I will remooue farre off from you the Northren armie, and I will driue him into a land, barren and desolate with his face toward the East sea, and his end to the vtmost sea, and his stinke shall come vp, and his corruption shall ascend, because he hath exalted himselfe to do this.
21 ए देश, नडरा, रमाहट गर र आनन्दित हो, किनकि परमप्रभुले महान् काम गर्नुहुनेछ ।
Feare not, O land, but be glad, and reioyce: for the Lord wil do great things.
22 ए मैदानका पशुहरू हो, नडराओ, किनकि उजाड-स्थानका खर्कहरूमा पलाउनेछन्, र बोटहरूले आफ्ना फलहरू दिनेछन्, र नेभाराका बोटहरू र दाखका बोटहरूले आ-आफ्ना फसल पुरा रूपमा दिनेछन् ।
Be not afrayde, ye beastes of the fielde: for the pastures of the wildernesse are greene: for the tree beareth her fruite: the figge tree and the vine do giue their force.
23 ए सियोनका मानिस हो, खुशी होओ, आफ्ना परमप्रभु परमेश्वरमा आनन्दित होओ । किनकि उहाँले ठिक समयमा चाँडै शरदको वर्षा दिनुहुनेछ, र तिमीहरूका निम्ति झरी पार्नुहुनेछ, पहिलेझैं नै शरद् र बसन्तका दुवै झरी हुनेछन् ।
Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and reioyce in the Lord your God: for he hath giuen you the rayne of righteousnes, he wil cause to come downe for you the rayne, euen the first raine, and the latter raine in the first moneth.
24 खलाहरू गहुँले भरिनेछन्, र घ्याम्पोहरू नयाँ दाखमद्य र तेलले भरिएर पोखिनेछन् ।
And the barnes shalbe full of wheate, and the presses shall abound with wine and oyle.
25 “बथानमा हिंड्ने सलहले— ठुला सलह, सखाप पार्ने सलह र नाश गर्ने सलहले — मैले तिमीहरूका बिचमा पठाएको मेरो शक्तिशाली सेनाले, वर्षौंदेखि खाएको बालीको म तिमीहरूलाई क्षतिपुर्ति दिनेछु ।
And I will render you the yeeres that the grashopper hath eaten, the canker worme and the caterpiller and the palmer worme, my great hoste which I sent among you.
26 तिमीहरू प्रशस्त गरी खानेछौ र भरपेट हुनेछौ, र आफ्ना परमप्रभु परमेश्वरको नाउँको प्रशंसा गर्नेछौ, जसले तिमीहरूका बिचमा अचम्मका काम गर्नुएको छ, र म कहिल्यै आफ्ना मानिसहरूमा जाल ल्याउनेछैनँ ।
So you shall eate and be satisfied and praise the Name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt marueilously with you: and my people shall neuer be ashamed.
27 म इस्राएलको बिचमा छु भनी तिमीहरूले जान्नेछौ, र म नै परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वर हुँ, र त्यहाँ अर्को कोही पनि छैन, र म कहिल्यै आफ्ना मानिसहरूमा लाज ल्याउनेछैनँ ।
Ye shall also know, that I am in the middes of Israel, and that I am the Lord your God and none other, and my people shall neuer be ashamed.
28 केही समयपछि सबै मानिसमाथि, म आफ्नो आत्मा खन्याउनेछु, र तिमीहरूका छोराहरू र छोरीहरूले अगमवाणी बोल्नेछन् । तिमीहरूका वृद्ध मानिसहरूले सपनाहरू देख्नेछन्, र तिमीहरूका जवान मानिसहरूले दर्शनहरू देख्नेछन् ।
And afterward will I powre out my Spirit vpon all flesh: and your sonnes and your daughters shall prophecie: your olde men shall dreame dreames, and your yong men shall see visions,
29 साथै ती दिनहरूमा दासहरू र दासीहरूमा, म आफ्नो आत्माबाट खन्याउनेछु ।
And also vpon the seruants, and vpon the maydes in those dayes wil I powre my Spirit.
30 आकाश र पृथ्वीमा अचम्मका कामहरू, रगत, आगो, र धूँवाका मुस्लाहरू म देखाउनेछु ।
And I will shewe wonders in the heauens and in the earth: blood and fire, and pillars of smoke.
31 परमप्रभुको त्यो महान् र भयानक दिन आउनुअघि, सूर्य अन्धकारमा अनि चन्द्रमा रगतमा परिवर्तन हुनेछ ।
The sunne shalbe turned into darkenesse, and the moone into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come.
32 परमप्रभुको नाउँ पुकार्ने हरेक व्यक्ति बचाइनेछ । किनकि जस्तो परमप्रभुले भन्नुभएको छ, सियोन पर्वतमा र यरूशलेममा छुटकारा पाएका मानिसहरू हुनेछन्, जसलाई परमप्रभुले बोलाउनुहुन्छ ।
But whosoeuer shall call on the Name of the Lord, shalbe saued: for in mount Zion, and in Ierusale shalbe deliuerance, as the Lord hath said, and in the remnant, whom the Lord shall call.
