योएल 1
1 पतुएलका छोरा योएलकहाँ आएको परमप्रभु वचन यही हो ।
The word of Yahweh, which came unto Joel, son of Pethuel.
2 ए धर्मगुरुहरू हो, यो कुरा सुन, र ए देशका सबै बासिन्दाहरू हो ध्यानसँग सुन । तिमीहरूका दिनमा वा तिमीहरूका पुर्खाहरूका दिनमा कहिल्यै यस्तो भएको छ?
Hear this, ye elders, and give ear, all ye inhabitants of the land, —hath this ever happened in your days? or in the days of your fathers?
3 यसको विषयमा आफ्ना छोराछोरीलाई भन, र तिमीहरूका छोराछोरीले आफ्ना छोराछोरीलाई भनून्, र तिनीहरूका छोराछोरीले अर्को पुस्तालाई भनून् ।
Concerning it, to your children, tell ye the story, —and your children, to their children, and their children, to the generation following: —
4 बथानमा हिंड्ने सलहहरूले जे बाँकी छोडेका छन्, ती ठुला सलहले खाएका छन्, ठुला सलहले जे बाँकी छोडेका छन् ती फट्याङ्ग्राले खाएका छन्, र फट्याङ्ग्राले जे बाँकी छोडेका छन् ती झुसिल्किराले खाएका छन् ।
That which was left by the creeping locust, hath the swarming locust eaten, and, that which was left by the swarming locust, hath the grass locust eaten; and, that which was left by the grass locust, hath the corn locust eaten.
5 ए मद्यले मातेकाहरू हो, उठ र रोओ! ए दाखमद्य पिउनेहरू, सबै विलाप गर, किनभने मिठो दाखमद्यलाई तिमीहरूबाट खोसिएको छ ।
Awake, ye drunkards, and weep, and howl, all ye drinkers of wine, —over the new wine, because it hath been cut off from your mouth.
6 किनकि मेरो देशमा एउटा जाति आएको छ, बलियो र अनगिन्ती छ । त्यसका दाँत सिंहका दाँतझैं छन्, र त्यसका दाह्रा सिंहनीका झैं छन् ।
For, a nation, hath come up over my land, bold, and without number, —his teeth, are the teeth of a lion, and, the fangs of a lioness, hath he!
7 त्यसले मेरो दाखबारीलाई उजाड ठाउँ बनाएको छ र मेरो नेभाराका बोटलाई लाछेर नाङ्गो पारेको छ । त्यसका बोक्राहरू त्यसले ताछेको छ र टाढा फालेको छ, र हाँगाहरू केवल सेता मात्र छन् ।
He hath turned my vine to a waste, and my fig-tree to splinters, —he hath, barked it clean, and cast it down, bleached are its branches.
8 आफ्नो भर्खरको पतिको मृत्यु भएर भाङ्ग्रा लगाएकी कन्या केटीले झैं विलाप गर ।
Wail thou, like a virgin girded with sackcloth, for the owner of her youth.
9 परमप्रभुको मन्दिरबाट अन्नबलि र अर्घबलि हटाइएका छन् । परमप्रभुको सेवा गर्ने पुजारीहरू विलाप गर्छन् ।
Cut off are the meal-offering and the drink-offering, from the house of Yahweh, —In grief are the priests, the attendants on Yahweh: —
10 खेतहरू सखाप पारिएका छन्, र अन्नहरू नष्ट पारिएका हुनाले भूमिले विलाप गर्दैछ । नयाँ दाखमद्य सुकेको छ, तेल बाँकी छैन ।
Laid waste is the field, in grief is the soil, —for laid waste is the corn, abashed is the new wine, languisheth the oil.
11 ए किसानहरू हो, लज्जित होओ, र दाखबारी लगाउनेहरू हो, विलाप गर । किनभने भूमिको उब्जनी नष्ट भएको छ । गहुँ र जौका बढिरहेका छैनन् ।
Turn pale, ye husbandmen, howl, ye vinedressers, over the wheat, and over the barley, —for perished is the harvest of the field.
12 दाखका बोटहरू ओइलाएका छन् र नेभाराका बोटहरू सुकेका छन्, र अनार बोटहरू, खजूर बोटहरू र स्याउको बोटहरू, खेतबारीका सबै बोटहरू ओइलाएका छन् । किनभने मानवजातिका सन्तानबाट आनन्द विलाएर गएको छ ।
The vine, is abashed, and, the fig-tree, languisheth, —pomegranate, palm also, and apple—all the trees of the field, have withered, Yea abashed is gladness, away from the sons of men.
13 ए पुजारीहरू हो, भाङ्ग्रा लगाओ र विलाप गर! वेदीमा सेवा गर्नेहरू हो, विलाप गर । ए मेरा परमेश्वरका सेवा गर्नेहरू हो, आओ, र रातभर भाङ्ग्रा लगाएर बस । किनभने तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरको मन्दिरबाट अन्नबलि र अर्घबलि हटाइएका छन् ।
Gird yourselves and beat the breast—ye priests, howl, ye attendants of the altar, go in and wrap yourselves for the night in sackcloth, ye attendants on my God, —for, withholden from the house of your God, are the meal-offering and the drink- offering.
14 पवित्र उपवासको घोषणा गर, र पवित्र सभा आव्हान गर । परमप्रभु आफ्ना परमेश्वरको मन्दिरमा देशका सबै धर्मगुरुहरू र बासिन्दाहरूलाई भेला गराओ र, अनि परमप्रभुमा पुकार ।
Hallow ye a fast, Call a solemn assembly, Gather, O elders, all the inhabitants of the land, unto the house of Yahweh your God, —and make ye outcry unto Yahweh.
15 हाय! त्यो दिन, किनकि परमप्रभुको दिन नजिकै छ । त्योसँगै सर्वशक्तिमान्बाट विनाश आउनेछ ।
Alas for the day! For near is the day of Yahweh, and, as a veritable Destruction from the Destroyer, shall it come.
16 के हाम्रै आँखाका सामु खानेकुरा, अनि हाम्रा परमेश्वरको मन्दिरबाट आनन्द र रमाहट रोकिएको छैन र?
Is it not, before our eyes, that, food, hath been cut off? From the house of our God, rejoicing and exultation.
17 माटोका डल्लामुनि बीउहरू सडे, भण्डारहरू उजाड भए, र अन्नका भकारीहरू भत्काइए, किनकि अन्न सुकेको छ ।
Rotted hath the seed, under their clods, Laid waste are their stores, Thrown down are the garners, —Yea abashed is the corn.
18 पशुहरू कसरी विलाप् गर्छन्! पाल्तु पशुका बथानहरूले कष्ट भोग्दैछन्, किनकि तिनीहरूका निम्ति खर्क छैन । साथै, भेडाका बगालहरू पनि कष्ट भोग्दैछन् ।
How do the beasts groan! Perplexed are the herds of oxen, because there is no pasture for them, —even, the flocks of sheep, are destroyed!
19 हे परमप्रभु, म तपाईंमा पुकारा गर्दछु । किनकि उजाड-स्थानका खर्कहरूलाई आगोले भस्म पारेका छ, र खेतका सबै रूखहरूलाई आगोले जलाएको छ ।
Unto thee, O Yahweh, will I cry, —for, a fire, hath consumed the pastures of the wilderness, and, a flame, hath set ablaze all the trees of the field.
20 जमिनका पशुहरू पनि तपाईंका निम्ति तड्पिन्छन्, किनकि पानीका खोलाहरू सुकेका छन्, र उजाड-स्थानका खर्कहरूलाई आगोले भस्म पारेको छ ।
Even the beasts of the field, moan unto thee, —because dried up are the channels of water, and, a fire, hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness.
