अय्यूब 35
1 अझै एलीहूले निरन्तर यसो भनिरहे,
Then Elihu also said this:
2 “जब तपाईं भन्नुहुन्छ, 'परमेश्वरको सामु मेरो अधिकार' तब त्यो न्यायोचित नै हो भन्ने विचार तपाईंलाई हुन्छ?
“[Job, ] do you think that what you said is right/correct? You say, ‘God knows that I am innocent,’
3 किनकि तपाईं सोध्नुहुन्छ, 'यसबाट मलाई के फाइदा हुन्छ?' अनि 'मैले पाप गर्दा मलाई के असल हुन्छ र?’
and you say [to God], ‘What good have I received for not sinning? What benefit have I received from that?’ [DOU, RHQ]
4 म तपाईंलाई, तपाईं र तपाईंका मित्रहरू दुवैलाई जवाफ दिनेछु ।
[Well, ] I will answer you, and I will answer your three friends, too.
5 माथि आकाशमा हेर्नुहोस् र विचार गर्नुहोस् । आकाशलाई हेर्नुहोस्, जुन तपाईंभन्दा माथि छ ।
“[Job], look up at the sky; look at the clouds that are high above you and realize [that God is far above everything].
6 तपाईंले पाप गर्नुभयो भने, परमेश्वरको के नोक्सान हुन्छ र? तपाईंका अपराधहरूको थुप्रो लाग्यो भने, तपाईंले उहाँलाई के गर्नुहुन्छ र?
If you have sinned, that does not [RHQ] harm God at all. If many times you do things that are wrong, that certainly does not [RHQ] affect him [DOU].
7 तपाईं धर्मी हुनुहुन्छ भने, तपाईंले उहाँलाई के दिन सक्नुहुन्छ र? तपाईंको हातबाट उहाँले के ग्रहण गर्नुहुन्छ र?
And if you are righteous, does that help God? No, he is not benefited by anything that you do [DOU].
8 जसरी तपाईं मानिस हुनुहुन्छ, तपाईंको दुष्ट कामले मानिसलाई नै चोट पुर्याउन सक्छ, र तपाईंको धार्मिकताले अर्को मानिसको छोरोलाई लाभ हुन सक्छ ।
It is other people who suffer because of the wicked things that you do, but by doing good things for people, you help them.
9 अत्याचारका धेरै कार्यहरूले मानिसहरू रुन्छन् । शक्तिशाली मानिसहरूका पाखुराको मदत तिनीहरूले माग्छन् ।
“People cry out because of the many things that people do to others to (oppress them/treat them cruelly); they call for help because of the things that powerful people do [MTY] to them.
10 तर कसैले यसो भन्दैन, 'मेरा सृष्टिकर्ता परमेश्वर कहाँ हुनुहुन्छ, जसले रातमा गीतहरू दिनुहुन्छ,
But (no one/none of them) calls out [to God], saying ‘Why does God, my creator, [not help me]? He [should] enable me to sing [joyful] songs, [instead of very sad songs, ] during the night.
11 जसले पृथ्वीका जन्तुहरूलाई भन्दा बढी हामीलाई सिकाउनुहुन्छ, र जसले आकाशका चराहरूलाई भन्दा बढी हामीलाई बुद्धिमानी बनाउनुहुन्छ?'
He [should be able to] teach us more than all the wild animals do; he [should] enable us to become wiser than [all] the birds are!’
12 त्यहाँ तिनीहरू कराउँछन्, तर दुष्ट मानिसहरूको अहङ्कारको कारण परमेश्वरले कुनै जवाफ दिनुहुन्न ।
People cry out [for help], but God does not answer them, because those who cry out are proud and evil people.
13 परमेश्वरले निश्चय नै दुष्टको पुकारा सुन्नुहुन्न । सर्वशक्तिमान्ले त्यसलाई ध्यानै दिनुहुन्न ।
It is useless for them to cry out, because God, the Almighty One, does not pay any attention to what they say.
14 तपाईं भन्नुहुन्छ, तपाईंले उहाँलाई देक्नुहुन्न, तपाईंको मुद्दा उहाँको सामु छ, र तपाईंले उहाँको प्रतीक्षा गरिरहनुभएको छ भने, उहाँले तपाईंलाई झन् कति थोरै जवाफ दिनुहोला!
So, when you complain that you cannot see God, and you tell him that you are waiting for him [to decide whether or not you should be punished for what you have done], God will not listen to you, either!
15 अब तपाईं भन्नुहुन्छ, उहाँको क्रोधले दण्ड दिंदैन, र उहाँले अपराधलाई अलिकति पनि ध्यान दिनुहुन्न ।
Furthermore, [you say that] because he does not pay attention when people commit sins, he does not become angry and punish them.
16 त्यसैले अय्यूबले मूर्ख कुरा बोल्न मात्र आफ्नो मुख खोल्नुहुन्छ । उहाँले ज्ञानविनाका शब्दहरूको थुप्रो लगाउनुहुन्छ ।”
You say things that are useless; you say a lot of things without knowing [what you are talking about].”
