< अय्यूब 35 >

1 अझै एलीहूले निरन्‍तर यसो भनिरहे,
Moreover Elihu proceeded, and said:
2 “जब तपाईं भन्‍नुहुन्‍छ, 'परमेश्‍वरको सामु मेरो अधिकार' तब त्‍यो न्‍यायोचित नै हो भन्‍ने विचार तपाईंलाई हुन्छ?
Dost thou then think this to be right? Thou hast said, “I am more righteous than God.”
3 किनकि तपाईं सोध्‍नुहुन्छ, 'यसबाट मलाई के फाइदा हुन्‍छ?' अनि 'मैले पाप गर्दा मलाई के असल हुन्‍छ र?’
For thou askest, “What advantage have I? What have I gained, more than if I had sinned?”
4 म तपाईंलाई, तपाईं र तपाईंका मित्रहरू दुवैलाई जवाफ दिनेछु ।
I will answer thee, And thy companions with thee.
5 माथि आकाशमा हेर्नुहोस् र विचार गर्नुहोस् । आकाशलाई हेर्नुहोस्, जुन तपाईंभन्दा माथि छ ।
Look up to the heavens, and see! And behold the clouds, which are high above thee!
6 तपाईंले पाप गर्नुभयो भने, परमेश्‍वरको के नोक्‍सान हुन्छ र? तपाईंका अपराधहरूको थुप्रो लाग्‍यो भने, तपाईंले उहाँलाई के गर्नुहुन्छ र?
If thou sinnest, what doest thou against Him? If thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou to him?
7 तपाईं धर्मी हुनुहुन्छ भने, तपाईंले उहाँलाई के दिन सक्‍नुहुन्छ र? तपाईंको हातबाट उहाँले के ग्रहण गर्नुहुन्‍छ र?
If thou art righteous, what dost thou give him? Or what receiveth he at thy hand?
8 जसरी तपाईं मानिस हुनुहुन्‍छ, तपाईंको दुष्‍ट कामले मानिसलाई नै चोट पुर्‍याउन सक्छ, र तपाईंको धार्मिकताले अर्को मानिसको छोरोलाई लाभ हुन सक्छ ।
Thy wickedness injureth only a man like thyself, And thy righteousness profiteth only a son of man.
9 अत्याचारका धेरै कार्यहरूले मानिसहरू रुन्‍छन् । शक्तिशाली मानिसहरूका पाखुराको मदत तिनीहरूले माग्‍छन् ।
The oppressed cry out on account of the multitude of wrongs; They cry aloud on account of the arm of the mighty.
10 तर कसैले यसो भन्दैन, 'मेरा सृष्‍टिकर्ता परमेश्‍वर कहाँ हुनुहुन्छ, जसले रातमा गीतहरू दिनुहुन्छ,
But none saith, “Where is God, my Maker, Who giveth songs in the night;
11 जसले पृथ्वीका जन्तुहरूलाई भन्दा बढी हामीलाई सिकाउनुहुन्छ, र जसले आकाशका चराहरूलाई भन्दा बढी हामीलाई बुद्धिमानी बनाउनुहुन्छ?'
Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, And maketh us wiser than the birds of heaven?”
12 त्यहाँ तिनीहरू कराउँछन्, तर दुष्‍ट मानिसहरूको अहङ्कारको कारण परमेश्‍वरले कुनै जवाफ दिनुहुन्‍न ।
There they cry aloud on account of the pride of the wicked; But he giveth no answer.
13 परमेश्‍वरले निश्‍चय नै दुष्‍टको पुकारा सुन्‍नुहुन्‍न । सर्वशक्तिमान्‌ले त्‍यसलाई ध्यानै दिनुहुन्‍न ।
For God will not hear the vain supplication, Nor will the Almighty regard it;
14 तपाईं भन्‍नुहुन्‍छ, तपाईंले उहाँलाई देक्‍नुहुन्‍न, तपाईंको मुद्दा उहाँको सामु छ, र तपाईंले उहाँको प्रतीक्षा गरिरहनुभएको छ भने, उहाँले तपाईंलाई झन् कति थोरै जवाफ दिनुहोला!
Much less when thou sayest thou canst not see him: Justice is with him, —only wait thou for him!
15 अब तपाईं भन्‍नुहुन्छ, उहाँको क्रोधले दण्ड दिंदैन, र उहाँले अपराधलाई अलिकति पनि ध्‍यान दिनुहुन्‍न ।
But now, because he hath not visited in his anger, Nor taken strict note of transgression,
16 त्यसैले अय्यूबले मूर्ख कुरा बोल्न मात्र आफ्नो मुख खोल्‍नुहुन्‍छ । उहाँले ज्ञानविनाका शब्‍दहरूको थुप्रो लगाउनुहुन्‍छ ।”
Therefore hath Job opened his mouth rashly, And multiplied words without knowledge.
