अय्यूब 24

1 दुष्‍ट मानिसहरूको न्याय गर्ने समय सर्वशक्तिमान्‌ले किन तोक्‍नुभएको छैन? परमेश्‍वरप्रति विश्‍वासयोग्य हुनेहरूले उहाँको न्यायको दिन आएको किन देखेका छैनन्?

Wherefore from the Mighty One Times have not been hidden, And those knowing Him have not seen His days.

2 यस्ता दुष्‍ट मानिसहरू पनि छन् जसले साँध-सिमानाका निसानाहरू हटाउँछन् । यस्ता दुष्‍ट मानिसहरू पनि छन् जसले बगालहरूलाई जबरजस्ती लैजान्‍छन् र तिनलाई आफ्नै खर्कहरूमा राख्छन् ।

The borders they reach, A drove they have taken violently away, Yea, they do evil.

3 अनाथहरूका गधाहरूलाई तिनीहरूले जबरजस्‍ती लैजान्छन् । विधवाको गोरुलाई तिनीहरूले बन्‍धकका रूपमा लैजान्छन् ।

The ass of the fatherless they lead away, They take in pledge the ox of the widow,

4 दरिद्र मानिसहरूका उनीहरूका मार्गबाट तिनीहरूले जबरजस्‍ती हटाउँछन् । पृथ्वीका सबै गरिब मानिसहरू तिनीहरूबाट आफूलाई लुकाउँछन्।

They turn aside the needy from the way, Together have hid the poor of the earth.

5 हेर्नुहोस्, उजाड-स्थानका वन-गधाहरूझैं, यी गरिब मानिसहरू होसियारी भएर खानेकुरा खोज्‍दै आफ्नो काममा जान्छन् । सायद अराबाले तिनीहरूका छोराछोरीलाई खानेकुरा जुटाउनेछ ।

Lo, wild asses in a wilderness, They have gone out about their work, Seeking early for prey, A mixture for himself — food for young ones.

6 गरिब मानिसहरूले अरूका खेतबारीमा रातमा कटनी गर्छन् । तिनीहरूले दुष्‍टहरूका फसलबाट टिप्‍न छुटेका दाख बटुल्छन् ।

In a field his provender they reap, And the vineyard of the wicked they glean.

7 तिनीहरू रातभरि लुगाबिना नाङ्गै बस्छन् । जाडोमा ढाक्‍नलाई तिनीहरूसित केही हुँदैन ।

The naked they cause to lodge Without clothing. And there is no covering in the cold.

8 तिनीहरू पहाडका झरीले भिजेका छन् । तिनीहरूका बासस्‍थान नभएको हुनाले तिनीहरू ठुला ढुङ्‍गाको छेउमा पल्टिन्छन् ।

From the inundation of hills they are wet, And without a refuge — have embraced a rock.

9 यस्ता दुष्‍ट मानिसहरू छन् जसले अनाथहरूलाई आफ्‍ना आमाको कोखबाट खोसेर लैजान्छन्, र गरिब मानिसहरूका बालबालिका बन्‍धकको रूपमा लैजान्छन् ।

They take violently away From the breast the orphan, And on the poor they lay a pledge.

10 तर गरिब मानिसहरू लुगाविना नाङ्गै जान्छन् । तिनीहरू आफै भोकाएको भए पनि, तिनीहरूले अरूका अन्‍नका बिटाहरू बोक्‍छन् ।

Naked, they have gone without clothing, And hungry — have taken away a sheaf.

11 गरिब मानिसहरूले ती दुष्‍टहरूका पर्खालभित्र तेल पेल्छन् । तिनीहरूले दुष्‍ट मानिसहरूका दाखको कोल पेल्छन्, तर तिनीहरू आफै तिर्खाउँछन् ।

Between their walls they make oil, Wine-presses they have trodden, and thirst.

12 सहरबाट मर्न लागेको मानिसको क्रन्दन निस्कन्छ, अनि घाइतेको गलाले मदतको लागि चिच्‍च्याउँछ । तर परमेश्‍वरले दोष लगाउनुहुन्‍न ।

Because of enmity men do groan, And the soul of pierced ones doth cry, And God doth not give praise.

13 केही दुष्‍ट मानिसहरूले ज्योतिको विरुद्धमा विद्रोह गर्छन् । तिनीहरूले यसका मार्गहरू जान्‍दैनन्, न त तिनीहरू यसका मार्गहरूमा बस्छन् ।

They have been among rebellious ones of light, They have not discerned His ways, Nor abode in His paths.

14 उज्यालो हुनुअगि हत्यारा उठ्छ, र त्यसले गरिब तथा दरिद्र मानिसहरूलाई मार्छ । रातमा ऊ चोरजस्तो हुन्छ ।

At the light doth the murderer rise, He doth slay the poor and needy, And in the night he is as a thief.

15 साथै, व्यभिचारीका आँखाले साँझलाई पर्खेर बस्‍छ । उसले भन्छ, 'कुनै आँखाले मलाई देख्‍नेछैन ।' उसले आफ्नो भेष बद्लन्छ ।

And the eye of an adulterer Hath observed the twilight, Saying, 'No eye doth behold me.' And he putteth the face in secret.

16 अन्धकारमा दुष्‍टहरू घर फोरेर भित्र पस्छन्, तर दिउँसोको समयमा तिनीहरू लुक्छन् । तिनीहरूले उज्यालोको वास्ता गर्दैनन् ।

He hath dug in the darkness — houses; By day they shut themselves up, They have not known light.

17 तिनीहरू सबैका लागि निस्पट्ट अँध्यारो बिहानझैं हुन्छ । किनभने तिनीहरू निस्पट्ट अँध्यारोका त्रासहरूका मित्र हुन् ।

When together, morning [is] to them death shade, When he discerneth the terrors of death shade.

18 तापनि पानीको सतहमा देखा पर्ने फिँजझैं तिनीहरू चाँडै नै बितेर जान्‍छन् । तिनीहरूको खेतको हिस्सा श्रापित छ । तिनीहरूका दाखबारीहरूमा काम गर्न कोही पनि जाँदैन ।

Light he [is] on the face of the waters, Vilified is their portion in the earth, He turneth not the way of vineyards.

19 जसरी खडेरी र तापले हिउँलाई पगालेर पानी बानउँछ, त्यसरी नै पाप गरेकाहरूलाई चिहानले लैजान्‍छ । (Sheol h7585)

Drought — also heat — consume snow-waters, Sheol [those who] have sinned. (Sheol h7585)

20 उसलाई जन्माउने गर्भले उसलाई बिर्सिनेछ । किराले त्यसलाई मिठो मानेर खानेछ । फेरि उसको सम्झना गरिनेछैन । यसरी एउटा रुखलाई झैं दुष्‍टतालाई टुक्राटुक्रा पारिनेछ ।

Forget him doth the womb, Sweeten [on] him doth the worm, No more is he remembered, And broken as a tree is wickedness.

21 बच्‍चा नजन्माएकी बाँझी स्‍त्रीलाई दुष्‍टले निलिहाल्‍छ । उसले विधवाको निम्‍ति कुनै असल कुरा गर्दैन ।

Treating evil the barren [who] beareth not, And [to] the widow he doth no good,

22 तापनि परमेश्‍वरले शक्तिशाली मानिसहरूलाई आफ्नो शक्तिले घिसार्नुहुन्छ । उहाँ खडा हुनुहुन्छ, तर जीवनमा तिनीहरूलाई बलियो पार्नुहुन्‍न ।

And hath drawn the mighty by his power, He riseth, and none believeth in life.

23 तिनीहरू सुरक्षित छन्, र तिनीहरू यसबारे खुसी छन् भनी परमेश्‍वरले तिनीहरूलाई सोच्न दिनुहुन्छ, तर उहाँका आँखा तिनीहरूका मार्गमा हुन्‍छन् ।

He giveth to him confidence, and he is supported, And his eyes [are] on their ways.

24 यी मानिसहरू उच्‍च पारिएका छन् । तापनि क्षणभरमै तिनीहरू खतम हुनेछन् । वास्तवमा, तिनीहरूलाई निम्‍न स्‍तरमा पर्‍याइनेछ । अरू सबैलाई झैं तिनीहरूलाई पनि जम्मा गरिनेछ । अन्‍नको बालाझैं तिनीहरूलाई काटिनेछ ।

High they were [for] a little, and they are not, And they have been brought low. As all [others] they are shut up, And as the head of an ear of corn cut off.

25 यस्तो होइन भने, कसले मलाई झुटा प्रमाणित गर्न सक्छ? कसले मेरो वचनलाई निरर्थक बनाउन सक्छ?

And if not now, who doth prove me a liar, And doth make of nothing my word?
