अय्यूब 18
1 तब बिल्दद शुहीले जवाफ दिए र भने,
Bildad the Shuhite answered and said:
2 “आफ्नो कुरा तपाईं कहिले बन्द गर्नुहुन्छ? विचार गर्नुहोस्, र त्यसपछि हामी बोल्नेछौं ।
How long ere ye make an end of words? Understand, and then we will speak!
3 तपाईंको दृष्टिमा हामीलाई किन जङ्गली पशुहरू जस्तै मूर्ख छौं?
Why are we accounted as brutes, And reputed vile in your sight?
4 तपाईंले आफ्नो रिसमा आफैलाई छिया-छिया पार्नुहुन्छ, के तपाईंको निम्ति पृथ्वीलाई त्यागिदिने? वा चट्टानहरूलाई तिनीहरूका ठाउँबाट हटाइदिने?
Thou that tearest thyself in thine anger! Must the earth be deserted for thee, And the rock removed from its place?
5 वास्तवमा दुष्ट व्यक्तिको बत्ती निभाइनेछ । उसको आगोको ज्वाला बल्नेछैन ।
Behold, the light of the wicked shall be put out, And the flame of his fire shall not shine.
6 उसको पालमा ज्योति नै अँध्यारो हुनेछ । ऊमाथि रहेको उसको बत्ती निभाइनेछ ।
Light shall become darkness in his tent, And his lamp over him shall go out.
7 उसको शक्तिका पाइलाहरू छोटा बनाइनेछन् । उसका आफ्नै योजनाहरूले उसलाई तल पार्नेछन् ।
His strong steps shall be straitened, And his own plans shall cast him down.
8 किनकि उसको आफ्नै खुट्टाले उसलाई जालमा फल्नेछ । ऊ खल्डोतिर भौंतारिंदै जानेछ ।
He is brought into the net by his own feet, And he walketh upon snares.
9 पासोले त्यसलाई कुर्कुच्चोमा समात्ने छ । जालले त्यसलाई पसाउनेछ ।
The trap layeth hold of him by the heel, And the snare holdeth him fast.
10 उसको लागि जमिनमा एउटा पासो लुकाइएको छ । अनि एउटा पासोले उसलाई समात्नेछ ।
A net is secretly laid for him on the ground, And a trap for him in the pathway.
11 त्रासहरूले चारैतिरबाट उसलाई डरमा पार्नेछन् । तिनले उसलाई पछिपछि खेद्नेछन् ।
Terrors affright him on every side, And harass him at his heels.
12 उसको धन-सम्पत्तिले भोकमा पुर्याउनेछ, र विपत्तिले उसको छेउमै पर्खिनेछ ।
His strength is wasted by hunger, And destruction is ready at his side.
13 उसको शरीरका अंगहरू नष्ट पारिनेछन् । वास्तवमा, मृत्युको जेठो सन्तानले उसका अंगहरू निल्नेछ ।
His limbs are consumed, Yea, his limbs are devoured by the first-born of death.
14 आफ्नो पालको सुरक्षाबाट उसलाई घिस्याइन्छ, र त्रासको राजाकहाँ लगिन्छ ।
He is torn from his tent, which was his confidence, And is borne away to the king of terrors.
15 अपरिचित मानिसहरूले उसको घरभित्र गन्धक छरेको देखेपछि, तिनीहरू उसको पालमा बस्ने छैनन् ।
They who are none of his shall dwell in his tent; Brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation.
16 उसका जराहरू तलतिरका नै सुक्नेछन् । माथिको उसको हाँगा काटिनेछ ।
His roots below shall be dried up, And his branches above shall be withered.
17 पृथ्वीबाट उसको सम्झना लुप्त हुनेछ । सडकमा उसको कुनै नाउँ हुनेछैन ।
His memory perisheth from the earth, And no name hath he in the land.
18 उसलाई उज्यालोबाट अँध्यारोमा धपाइनेछ, र यस संसारबाट लखेटिनेछ ।
He shall be thrust from light into darkness, And driven out of the world.
19 उसका मानिसका बिचमा उसको छोरो वा नाति हुनेछैन, न त ऊ बसेको ठाउँमा कुनै आफन्त हुनेछ ।
He hath no son, nor kinsman among his people, Nor any survivor in his dwelling-place.
20 एक दिन उसलाई जे हुन्छ, त्यसमा पश्चिममा बस्नेहरू मानिसहरू आतङ्कित हुनेछन् भने, पूर्वमा बस्नेहरू त्यसमा त्रसित हुनेछन् ।
They that come after him shall be amazed at his fate, As they that were before them were struck with horror.
21 निश्चय नै अधर्मी मानिसहरूका घरहरू यस्तै हुन्छन् । परमेश्वरलाई नचिन्नेहरूका ठाउँहरू यस्तै हुने छन् ।
Yea, such is the dwelling of the unrighteous man; Such is the place of him who knoweth not God!
