अय्यूब 13
1 हेर्नुहोस्, मेरो आँखाले यो सबै देखेका छन् । मेरो कानले यसलाई सुनेको छ, र बुझेको छ ।
Lo, mine eye hath seen all [this], mine ear hath heard and understood it.
2 तपाईंहरू जे जान्नुहुन्छ, म त्यो जान्दछु । म तपाईंहरूभन्दा कम छैनँ ।
What ye know, I know also: I am not inferior to you.
3 तापनि, बरु म सर्वशक्तिमान्सित बोल्छु । म परमेश्वरसित तर्क गर्ने इच्छा गर्छु ।
But I will speak to the Almighty, and will find pleasure in reasoning with God;
4 तर तपाईंहरू झुटले सत्यलाई लुकाउनुहुन्छ । तपाईंहरू सबै जना तुच्छ वैद्यहरू हुनुहुन्छ ।
For ye indeed are forgers of lies, ye are all physicians of no value.
5 तपाईंहरू सबैजना सँगै चूप लाग्नुहोस् । त्यो नै तपाईंहरूको बुद्धि हुन्छ ।
Oh that ye would be altogether silent! and it would be your wisdom.
6 अब मेरो आफ्नै तर्क सुन्नुहोस् । मेरो आफ्नै ओठको बिन्तीलाई सुन्नुहोस् ।
Hear now my defence, and hearken to the pleadings of my lips.
7 परमेश्वरको लागि तपाईंहरू अधार्मिकताले बोल्नुहुनेछ र? अनि तपाईंहरू उहाँको लागि छलले कुरा गर्नुहुनेछ र?
Will ye speak unrighteously for God? and for him speak deceit?
8 उहाँलाई तपाईंहरू पक्षपात गर्नुहुनेछ र? परमेश्वरको लागि तपाईंहरू मुद्दाको बहस गर्नुहुनेछ र?
Will ye accept his person? will ye contend for God?
9 उहाँले तपाईंहरूको खोजी गर्नुहुँदा तपाईंहरूको भलो हुनेछ त? तपाईंहरूले मानिसहरूलाई छल गरेझैं उहाँलाई छल गर्न सक्नुहुन्छ र?
Will it be well if he should search you out? or as one mocketh at a man, will ye mock at him?
10 तपाईंहरूले गुप्तमा पक्षपात गर्नुभयो भने, उहाँले निश्चय नै तपाईंहरूलाई हप्काउनुहुन्छ ।
He will certainly reprove you, if ye do secretly accept persons.
11 उहाँको वैभवले तपाईंहरूलाई आतङ्कित पार्दैन र? उहाँको डर तपाईंहरूमाथि पर्दैन र?
Shall not his excellency terrify you? and his dread fall upon you?
12 तपाईंहरूका सम्झनलायक भनाइहरू खरानीले बनेका उखानहरू हुन् । तपाईंहरूका सुरक्षा माटोले बनेका सुरक्षा हुन् ।
Your memorable sayings are proverbs of ashes, your bulwarks are bulwarks of mire.
13 तपाईंहरू चूप लाग्नुहोस्, यसैले कि म बोल्न सकूँ । मलाई जे हुनु छ होस् ।
Hold your peace from me, and I will speak, and let come on me what [will]!
14 म आफ्नो जीवनलाई खतरामा हाल्नेछु । म आफ्नो जीवनलाई आफ्नो हातमा लिनेछु ।
Wherefore should I take my flesh in my teeth, and put my life in my hand?
15 हेर्नुहोस्, उहाँले मलाई मार्नुहुन्छ भने, ममा कुनै आशा बाँकी रहनेछैन । तापनि उहाँको सामु म आफ्ना मार्गको बचाउ गर्नेछु ।
Behold, if he slay me, yet would I trust in him; but I will defend mine own ways before him.
16 यो नै मेरो छुटकाराको कारण हुनेछ, किनकि ईश्वरहीन व्यक्ति उहाँको सामु आउँदैन ।
This also shall be my salvation, that a profane man shall not come before his face.
17 हे परमेश्वर, मेरो कुरा ध्यानले सुन्नुहोस् । मेरो घोषणा तपाईंका कानमा पुगोस् ।
Hear attentively my speech and my declaration with your ears.
18 हेर्नुहोस्, आफ्नो बचाउ मेलै गरेको छु । म निर्दोष छु भनी म जान्दछु ।
Behold now, I have ordered the cause; I know that I shall be justified.
19 मेरो विरुद्धमा अदालतमा बहस कसले गर्छ? तपाईंहरू त्यसो गर्न आउनुभयो र म गलत प्रमाणित भएँ भने, तब म चुप रहन्छु, र आफ्नो जीवन दिन्छु ।
Who is he that contendeth with me? For if I were silent now, I should expire.
20 हे परमेश्वर, मेरो निम्ति दुईवटा कुरा मात्र गर्नुहोस्, अनि म आफूलाई तपाईंको सामुबाट लुकाउनेछैनँ ।
Only do not two things unto me; then will I not hide myself from thee.
21 आफ्नो अत्याचारको हात मबाट निकाल्नुहोस्, अनि तपाईंका त्रासहरूले मलाई नतर्साउनुहोस् ।
Withdraw thy hand far from me; and let not thy terror make me afraid:
22 तब मलाई बोलाउनुहोस्, र म जवाफ दिनेछु । वा तपाईंसित म बोल्नेछु र तपाईंले जवाफ दिनुहोस् ।
Then call, and I will answer; or I will speak, and answer thou me.
23 मेरा अधर्म र पाप कति धेरै छन्? मेरो अपराध र मेरो पापको जानकारी मलाई दिनुहोस् ।
How many are mine iniquities and sins? Make me to know my transgression and my sin.
24 आफ्नो अनुहार मबाट तपाईं किन लुकाउनुहुन्छ, अनि मलाई आफ्नो शत्रुजस्तो व्यवहार किन गर्नुहुन्छ?
Wherefore dost thou hide thy face, and countest me for thine enemy?
25 तपाईंले एउटा उडेको पातलाई सताउनुहुन्छ र? तपाईं सुकेका झारपातको पछि जानुहुन्छ र?
Wilt thou terrify a driven leaf? and wilt thou pursue dry stubble?
26 किनकि मेरो विरुद्धमा तपाईंले तिक्त कुराहरू लेख्नुहुन्छ । मेरो युवावस्थाका अधर्म प्राप्त गर्ने तपाईंले मलाई बनाउनुहुन्छ ।
For thou writest bitter things against me, and makest me to possess the iniquities of my youth;
27 तपाईंले मेरो खुट्टालाई ठिंगुरोमा हाल्नुहुन्छ । तपाईंले मेरा सबै मार्गलाई नजिकबाट हेर्नुहुन्छ । मेरो खुट्टाको पैतालाले टेकेको जमिनलाई तपाईंले जाँच्नुहुन्छ ।
And thou puttest my feet in the stocks, and markest all my paths; thou settest a bound about the soles of my feet; —
28 यद्यपि म खेर जाने सडेगलेको कुराजस्तै, किराहरूले खाएको एउटा वस्त्रजस्तै छु ।
One who, as a rotten thing consumeth, as a garment that the moth eateth.
