< अय्यूब 12 >

1 तब अय्यूबले जवाफ दिए र भने,
And Job answered and said,
2 “निस्सन्देह तपाईंहरू मानिस हुनुहुन्छ । बुद्धि तपाईंहरूसितै मर्नेछ ।
Truly ye are the people, and wisdom shall die with you!
3 तर तपाईंहरूसित भएझैं मसित पनि समझशक्ति छ । म तपाईंहरूभन्दा कम छैनँ । वास्तवमा यस्ता कुराहरू कसले जान्दैन र?
I also have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you; and who knoweth not such things as these?
4 म आफ्‍नो छिमेकीको हाँस्‍ने कुरा भएको छु, मैले परमेश्‍वरमा पुकारा गरें अनि उहाँले मलाई जवाफ दिनुभयो । म न्यायी र दोषरहित मानिस— अहिले म हाँस्‍ने कुरा भएको छु ।
I am to be one that is a derision to his friend, I who call upon God, and whom he will answer: a derision is the just upright [man].
5 चैनमा बस्‍नेको विचारले दुर्भाग्यलाई घृणा गरिन्छ । चिप्‍लेकाहरूलाई अझै बढी दुर्भाग्य ल्याउने गरी उसले विचार गर्छ ।
He that is ready to stumble with the foot is a lamp despised in the thought of him that is at ease.
6 डाँकुहरूका पालको उन्‍नति हुन्छ, र परमेश्‍वरलाई रिस उठाउनेहरूले सुरक्षित महसुस गर्छन् । तिनीहरूका आफ्नै हात तिनीहरूका ईश्‍वर हुन् ।
The tents of desolators are in peace, and they that provoke God are secure; into whose hand God bringeth.
7 तर अब जङ्गली पशुहरूलाई सोध्‍नुहोस्, र तिनीहरूले तपाईंलाई भन्‍नेछन् । आकाशका चराहरूलाई सोध्‍नुहोस्, र तिनीहरूले तपाईंलाई बताउनेछन् ।
But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowl of the heavens, and they shall tell thee;
8 वा पृथ्वीसित बोल्नुहोस्, र त्‍यसले तपाईंलाई सिकाउनेछ । समुद्रका माछाहरूले तपाईंलाई घोषणा गर्नेछन् ।
Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee; and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee.
9 परमप्रभुको हातले नै यसो गरेको हो भनेर, यी सबैमध्ये कुनचाहिं प्राणीले जान्दैन र?
Who knoweth not in all these, that the hand of Jehovah hath wrought this?
10 उहाँकै हातमा हरेक जीवित प्राणीको जीवन, अनि सारा मानव-जातिको सास छ ।
In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the spirit of all flesh of man.
11 जिब्रोले खानाको स्वाद लिएझैं, के कानले वचनको जाँच गर्दैन र?
Doth not the ear try words, as the palate tasteth food?
12 पाका मानिसहरूसित बुद्धि हुन्छ । लामो आयुमा समझशक्ति हुन्छ ।
With the aged is wisdom, and in length of days understanding.
13 परमेश्‍वरसित बुद्धि र शक्ति छन् । उहाँसित सल्लाह र समझशक्ति छन् ।
With him is wisdom and might; he hath counsel and understanding.
14 हेर्नुहोस्, उहाँले तोड्नुहुन्‍छ, त्‍यसलाई फेरि निर्माण गर्न सकिँदैन । उहाँले कसैलाई कैद गर्नुहुन्‍छ भने, त्यहाँ छुटकारा हुँदैन ।
Behold, he breaketh down, and it is not built again; he shutteth up a man, and there is no opening.
15 हेर्नुहोस्, उहाँले पानीलाई रोक्‍नुभयो भने, ती सुक्छन् । अनि उहाँले त्यसलाई पठाउनुहुन्‍छ भने, तिनले जमिनलाई डुबाउँछ ।
Behold, he withholdeth the waters, and they dry up; and he sendeth them out, and they overturn the earth.
16 उहाँसित ताकत र बुद्धि छन् । धोका दिने र धोका खानेहरू दुवै मानिसहरू उहाँको शक्तिमा हुन्‍छन् ।
With him is strength and effectual knowledge; the deceived and the deceiver are his.
17 उहाँले सल्लाहकारहरूलाई शोकमा पारेर नाङ्गै खुट्टा हिंडाउनुहुन्छ । उहाँले न्यायाधीशहरूलाई मूर्ख बनाउनुहुन्छ ।
He leadeth counsellors away spoiled, and judges maketh he fools;
18 उहाँले राजाहरूको उच्‍च अधिकार खोस्‍नुहुन्‍छ । उहाँले तिनीहरूको कम्मरमा पटुका बेर्नुहुन्छ ।
He weakeneth the government of kings, and bindeth their loins with a fetter;
19 उहाँले पुजारीहरूलाई शोकमा नाङ्गै खुट्टा हिंडाउनुहुन्छ, र शक्तिशाली मानिसहरूलाई फाल्‍नुहुन्छ ।
He leadeth priests away spoiled, and overthroweth the mighty;
20 उहाँले भरोसायोग्य बोलीलाई हटाउनुहुन्छ, र समझशक्तिलाई धर्म-गुरुहरूबाट टाढा पुर्‍याउनुहुन्छ ।
He depriveth of speech the trusty, and taketh away the judgment of the elders;
21 उहाँले राजकुमारहरूमाथि निन्दा खन्याउनुहुन्छ, र बलिया मानिसहरूको पेटी फुकाल्‍नुहुन्छ ।
He poureth contempt upon nobles, and slackeneth the girdle of the mighty;
22 उहाँले अन्धकारका गहिरा कुराहरू प्रकट गर्नुहुन्छ, र अँध्‍यारो छायामा ज्योति ल्याउनुहुन्छ ।
He discovereth deep things out of darkness, and bringeth out into light the shadow of death;
23 उहाँले जातिहरूलाई बलियो पार्नुहुन्छ, र उहाँले नै तिनीहरूलाई नष्‍ट गर्नुहुन्छ । उहाँले जातिहरूलाई बिस्तार गर्नुहुन्छ, र उहाँले नै तिनीहरूलाई कैदी बनाएर लैजानुहुन्छ ।
He increaseth the nations, and destroyeth them; he spreadeth out the nations, and bringeth them in;
24 उहाँले पृथ्वीका मानिसहरूका अगुवाहरूबाट समझशक्ति हटाउनुहुन्छ । उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई उजाड-स्थानमा भौंतारिन लगाउनुहुन्छ जहाँ कुनै बाटो हुँदैन ।
He taketh away the understanding of the chiefs of the people of the earth, and causeth them to wander in a pathless waste.
25 उज्यालोविना अन्धकारमा तिनीहरू छामेर हिंड्छन् । उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई मातेको मान्छैझै धर्मराउने बनाउनुहुन्छ ।
They grope in the dark without light, and he maketh them to stagger like a drunkard.
