यर्मिया 6
1 हे बेन्यामीनका मानिसहरू हो, यरूशलेमलाई छोडेर सुरक्षा खोज । तकोमा तुरही फुक । बेथहक्केरेममाथि सङ्केतबाट इशारा देओ, किनकि उत्तरबाट दुष्टता देखा पर्दैछ। एउटा ठुलो मिचाहा आउँदैछ ।
O ye children of Beniamin, prepare to flee out of the middes of Ierusalem, and blowe the trumpet in Tekoa: set vp a standart vpon Beth-haccerem: for a plague appeareth out of the North and great destruction.
2 सियोनकी सुन्दरी र कोमल छोरी नष्ट पारिन्छे ।
I haue compared the daughter of Zion to a beautifull and daintie woman.
3 गोठालाहरू र तिनका बगालहरू तिनीहरूकहाँ जानेछन् । तिनीहरूले चारैतिर त्यसको विरुद्धमा पालहरू टाँग्नेछन् । हरेक मानिसले आफ्नो हातले चराउनेछ ।
The pastors with their flockes shall come vnto her: they shall pitche their tentes rounde about by her, and euery one shall feede in his place.
4 “युद्धको लागि आफैलाई देवताहरूकहाँ अर्पण गर । उठ, हामी मध्यदिनमा आक्रमण गरौं । दिन ढल्कँदै जानु र बेलुकीको छायाँ पर्दै जानु धेरै नराम्रो कुरा हो ।
Prepare warre against her: arise, and let vs goe vp toward the South: wo vnto vs: for the day declineth, and the shadowes of the euening are stretched out.
5 तरै पनि हामी रातमा आक्रमण गरौं र त्यसको किल्लालाई नष्ट पारौं ।”
Arise, and let vs goe vp by night, and destroy her palaces.
6 किनकि सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छ, “त्यसका रुखहरू काटिदे, र यरूशलेमको विरुद्धमा घेरामचानहरू बनाओ । आक्रमण गर्नलाई यो नै ठिक सहर हो, किनकि यो अत्याचारले भरिएको छ ।
For thus hath the Lord of hostes said, Hewe downe wood, and cast a mounte against Ierusalem: this citie must be visited: all oppression is in the middes of it.
7 जसरी इनारले ताजा पानी दिन्छ, त्यसरी नै यो सहरले निरन्तर दुष्टता उत्पादन गर्छ । त्यसको भित्र हिंसा र उपद्रव सुनिन्छ । रोग र घाउहरू मेरो अनुहारको सामु निरन्तर छन् ।
As the fountaine casteth out her waters, so she casteth out her malice: crueltie and spoyle is continually heard in her before me with sorowe and strokes.
8 ए यरूशलेम, अनुशासनलाई स्वीकार गर्, नत्रता म तँबाट तर्कनेछु, र तँलाई कोही नबस्ने उजाड देश बनाउनेछु ।”
Be thou instructed, O Ierusalem, lest my soule depart from thee, lest I make thee desolate as a land, that none inhabiteth.
9 सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छ, “निश्चय नै तिनीहरूले दाखबारीमा छाडिएका फललाई झैं इस्राएलमा छाडिएकाहरूलाई टिप्नेछन् । दाखका बोटहरूबाट दाख टिप्न फेरि तेरो हात पसार् ।
Thus sayeth the Lord of hostes, They shall gather as a vine, the residue of Israel: turne backe thine hande as the grape gatherer into the baskets.
10 म कसलाई घोषणा गरूँ र चेताउनी दिऊँ ताकि तिनीहरूले मेरो कुरा सुनून्? हेर्, तिनीहरूका कान खतना गरिएका छैनन् । तिनीहरू ध्यान दिन सक्दैनन् । हेर्, तिनीहरूलाई सुधार्न परमप्रभुको वचन तिनीहरूकहाँ आएको छ, तर तिनीहरूले यसको इच्छा गर्दैनन् ।
Vnto whome shall I speake, and admonish that they may heare? beholde, their eares are vncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: beholde, the worde of the Lord is vnto them as a reproche: they haue no delite in it.
11 तर म परमप्रभुको क्रोधले भरिएको छु । यसलाई थामेर म थाकिसकेको छु । उहाँले मलाई भन्नुभयो, “सडकका बालबालिका र युवाहरूको समूहमा यसलाई खन्याइदे । किनकि हरेक पुरुषलाई त्यसकी पत्नीसँगै, अनि कान नसुन्ने हरेक बुढा मानिसलाई लगिनेछ ।
Therefore I am full of the wrath of the Lord: I am weary with holding it: I will powre it out vpon the children in the streete, and likewise vpon the assembly of the yong men: for the husband shall euen be taken with the wife, and the aged with him that is full of daies.
12 तिनीहरूका घरहरू, खेतहरू र पत्नीहरू एकसाथ अरूलाई दिइनेछ । किनकि म आफ्नै हातले यस देशका बासिन्दाहरूलाई आक्रमण गर्नेछु, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो ।
And their houses with their landes, and wiues also shalbe turned vnto strangers: for I will stretch out mine hande vpon the inhabitants of the land, sayeth the Lord.
13 सानादेखि ठुलासम्म सबै जना बेइमान आर्जनको लागि लोभी भएका छन्, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो । अगमवक्तादेखि पुजारीसम्म सबैले छलको अभ्यास गर्छन् ।
For from the least of them, euen vnto the greatest of them, euery one is giuen vnto couetousnesse, and from the Prophet euen vnto the Priest, they all deale falsely.
14 शान्ति नै नहुँदा पनि, 'शान्ति, शान्ति' भन्दै, तिनीहरूले मेरा मानिसहरूको चोटलाई अलिअलि मात्र निको पारेका छन् ।
They haue healed also ye hurt of the daughter of my people with sweete woordes, saying, Peace, peace, when there is no peace.
15 तिनीहरूले घृणित कामहरू गर्दा के तिनीहरू लज्जित भए? तिनीहरू लज्जित भएनन् । तिनीहरूलाई शर्म मान्न पनि आउँदैन । त्यसैले पतन भएकाहरूका बिचमा तिनीहरू पतन हुनेछन् । तिनीहरूलाई दण्ड दिंदा तिनीहरू तल खसालिनेछन्, परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ ।
Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not ashamed, no neither coulde they haue any shame: therefore they shall fall among the slaine: when I shall visite them, they shall be cast downe, sayth the Lord.
16 परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छ, “दोबाटोमा खडा हो र हेर् । प्राचीन मार्गहरू बारेमा सोधखोज गर् । 'यो असल मार्ग कहाँ छ?' तब त्यसैमा हिंड, र आफ्नो लागि विश्रामस्थल पत्ता लगा । तर मानिसहरू भन्छन्, 'हामी जाने छैनौं ।'
Thus sayeth the Lord, Stande in the waies and beholde, and aske for the olde way, which is the good way and walke therein, and yee shall finde rest for your soules: but they saide, We will not walke therein.
17 तुरहीको आवाज सुन्न मैले तिमीहरूका निम्ति पहरेदारहरू नियुक्त गरें । तर तिनीहरूले भने, 'हामी सुन्ने छैनौं ।'
Also I set watchmen ouer you, which said, Take heede to the sound of the trumpet: but they said, We will not take heede.
18 त्यसकारण हे जाति-जातिहरू हो, सुन । हे गवाही दिनेहरू हो, तिनीहरूलाई के हुने छ सो हेर ।
Heare therefore, yee Gentiles, and thou Congregation knowe, what is among them.
19 हे पृथ्वी, सुन् । मैले यी मानिसहरूमाथि विपत्ति ल्याउनै लागेको छु, जुन तिनीहरूका विचारको नतिजा हो । तिनीहरूले मेरो वचन वा व्यवस्थालाई ध्यानै दिएनन्, तर तिनीहरूले यसलाई इन्कार गरे ।
Heare, O earth, beholde, I will cause a plague to come vpon this people, euen the fruite of their owne imaginations: because they haue not taken heede vnto my woordes, nor to my Lawe, but cast it off.
20 मेरो लागि शेबाबाट माथि गएको यस धुपको अर्थ के हो? वा टाढाको देशबाट आएका यी सुगन्धको? तिमीहरूका होमबलिहरू मेरो लागि स्वीकारयोग्य छैनन्, न त तिमीहरूका बलिदानहरू छन् ।
To what purpose bringest thou mee incense from Sheba, and sweete calamus from a farre countrey? Your burnt offerings are not pleasant, nor your sacrifices sweete vnto me.
21 त्यसैले परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छ, “हेर्, मैले यी मानिसको विरुद्धमा ठेस लाग्ने अवरोध राख्न लागेको छु । तिनीहरूका बाबुहरू र छोराहरू एकैसाथ त्यसमाथि ठक्कर खानेछन् । बासिन्दाहरू र तिनीहरू छिमेकीहरू पनि नष्ट हुनेछन् ।”
Therefore thus sayeth the Lord, Beholde, I will laie stumbling blockes before this people, and the fathers and the sonnes together shall fall vpon them: the neighbour and his friende shall perish.
22 परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छ, ‘हेर्, उत्तर देशबाट एउटा जाति आउँदैछ, पृथ्वीको पल्लो भागबाट एउटा महान् जाति उत्तेजित हुँदैछ ।
Thus sayeth the Lord, Beholde, a people commeth from the North countrey, and a great nation shall arise from the sides of the earth.
23 तिनीहरूले धनु र भालाहरू उठाउने छन् । तिनीहरू क्रुर छन् र दया नै छैन । तिनीहरूको आवाज समुद्रको गर्जनजस्तो छ, र तिनीहरू घोडाहरूमा सवार हुँदैछन् । हे सियोनकी छोरी, तेरो विरुद्धमा युद्ध गर्न तिनीहरू पङ्क्तिबद्ध भएर आउने मानिसहरूजस्तै अगाडि बढ्छन् ।”
With bowe and shield shall they be weaponed: they are cruell and will haue no compassion: their voyce roareth like the sea, and they ride vpon horses, well appointed, like men of warre against thee, O daughter Zion.
24 हामीले तिनीहरूका बारेमा खबरहरू सुनेका छौं, र निराश हुँदा हाम्रा हातहरू नै लत्रेका छन् । जन्म दिंदा स्त्रीलाई भएझैं सङ्कष्टले हामीलाई समात्छ ।
We haue heard their fame, and our handes waxe feeble sorrowe is come vpon vs, as the sorrowe of a woman in trauaile.
25 बाहिर खेतबाट नजाओ, र सडकहरूमा नहिंड, किनकि शत्रुका तरवार र त्रास चारैतिर छन् ।
Goe not foorth into the fielde, nor walke by the way: for the sword of the enemie and feare is on euery side.
26 हे मेरा मानिसकी छोरी, भाङ्ग्रा लगा र खरानीमा लडीबडी हो । एक मात्र छोरोको लागि विलाप गरेझैं शुँक-शुँक गरेर शोक गर, किनकि विनाशक हामीमाथि अकस्मात् आउनेछ ।
O daughter of my people, girde thee with sackecloth, and wallowe thy selfe in the ashes: make lamentation, and bitter mourning as for thine onely sonne: for the destroier shall suddenly come vpon vs.
27 “हे यर्मिया, तिनीहरूका मार्ग निरीक्षण गर्न र जाँच गर्न मैले तँलाई धातु जाँच गर्नेजस्तै मेरा मानिसहरूको जाँच गर्ने मानिस बनाएको छु ।
I haue set thee for a defence and fortresse among my people, that thou maiest knowe and trie their waies.
28 तिनीहरू अति नै हठी मानिसहरू हुन् जो अरूहरूको बदख्याइँ गर्दै यताउता जान्छन् । तिनीहरू सबै भ्रष्टतापूर्वक काम गर्ने काँसा र फलाम हुन् ।
They are all rebellious traitours, walking craftily: they are brasse, and yron, they all are destroyers.
29 आगोले भस्म गर्ने पदार्थलाई भस्म गर्न खलाँतीलाई जोडसित फुकिन्छ । आगोको रापमा फलाम पग्लन्छ । तिनीहरूका बिचमा शुद्देइँ जारी छ, तर यो अर्थहीन छ, किनकि दुष्ट्याइँलाई हटाइएको छैन ।
The bellowes are burnt: the lead is consumed in the fire: the founder melteth in vaine: for the wicked are not taken away.
30 तिनीहरू तिरस्कृत भएको चाँदी भनिनेछन् किनकि परमप्रभुले तिनीहरूलाई इन्कार गर्नुभएको छ ।”
They shall call them reprobate siluer, because the Lord hath reiected them.
