यर्मिया 48

1 सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु इस्राएलका परमेश्‍वर मोआबलाई यसो भन्‍नुहुन्छः “नेबोलाई धिक्‍कार! किनकि यसलाई सर्वनाश पारिएको छ । कर्यातैमलाई अपमानित गरिएको छ र कब्जा गरिएको छ । त्यसका किल्लाहरू लाजमा पारिएका छन्, र भत्काइएका छन् ।

Concerning Moab: “Thus said YHWH of Hosts, God of Israel: Woe to Nebo, for it is spoiled, Kiriathaim has been captured [and] put to shame, The high tower has been put to shame, Indeed, it has been broken down.

2 फेरि मोआबको आदर गरिनेछैन । हेश्बोनमा भएका त्यसका शत्रुहरूले त्यसको विरुद्धमा विनाशको षड्यन्त्र रचेको छ । तिनीहरूले भने, 'आओ र जातिको रूपमा त्यसलाई नाश पारौं । बौलाहाहरू पनि नष्‍ट हुनेछन् । तरवाले तँलाई खेद्‍नेछ ।'

There is no longer praise of Moab, In Heshbon they devised evil against her: Come, and we cut it off from [being] a nation, Also, O Madmen, you are cut off, A sword goes after you.

3 सुन! होरोनैमबाट क्रन्दनको सोर आइरहेको छ, जहाँ भग्‍नावशेष र ठुलो विनाश छ ।

A voice of a cry [is] from Horonaim, Spoiling and great destruction.

4 मोआब नष्‍ट पारिएको छ । त्यसका बच्‍चाहरू चिच्‍च्याएको सोर सुनिन्छ ।

Moab has been destroyed, Her little ones have caused a cry to be heard.

5 तिनीहरू रुँदै लूहीतको डाँडामा जान्छन्, किनकि विनाशको कारण होरोनैमको ओह्रालोमा क्रन्दन सुनिन्छ ।

For the ascent of Luhith with weeping, Weeping goes up, For in the descent of Horonaim Adversaries have heard a cry of desolation.

6 भाग, आ-आफ्ना ज्यान बचाओ, र उजाड-स्थानमा पोथ्राजस्तै बन ।

Flee, deliver yourselves, You are as a naked thing in a wilderness.

7 किनकि तिमीहरूका अभ्यास र धनमा भएको तिमीहरूको भरोसाको कारण तिमीहरू समातिनेछौ । तब कमोश त्यसका पुजारीहरू र अगुवाहरूसँगै निर्वासनमा लगिनेछ ।

For because of your trusting in your works, And in your treasures, even you are captured, And Chemosh has gone out in a removal, His priests and his heads together.

8 किनकि विनाशक हरेक सहरमा आउनेछ । कुनै पनि सहर उम्कनेछैन । त्यसैले बेँसी नष्‍ट हुनेछ, र मैदान सर्वनाश पारिनेछ जस्तो परमप्रभुले भन्‍नुभएको छ ।

And a spoiler comes to every city, And no city escapes, And the valley has perished, And the plain has been destroyed, as YHWH said.

9 मोआबलाई पखेटा देओ, किनकि निश्‍चय नै त्‍यसले उड्‍नुपर्नेछ । त्यसका सहरहरू काम नलाग्‍ने भूमि हुनेछन्, जहाँ बस्‍ने कोही हुनेछैन ।

Give wings to Moab, that she may go forth and flee away, And her cities are for a desolation, Without an inhabitant in them.

10 परमप्रभुको काम गर्नमा अल्छे कुनै पनि व्यक्ति श्रापित होस् । रगत बगाउनदेखि आफ्नो तरवारलाई रोक्‍ने कुनै व्यक्ति श्रापित होस् ।

Cursed [is] he who is doing the work of YHWH slothfully, And cursed [is] he Who is withholding his sword from blood.

11 आफ्नो युवावस्थादेखि नै मोआबले आफूलाई सुरक्षित ठानेको छ । त्यो एउटा भाँडोदेखि अर्को भाँडोमा कहिल्यै नखन्याइएको दाखमद्यजस्तो हो । त्यसलाई कहिल्यै निर्वासनमा लगिएको छैन । त्यसकारण त्यसको स्वाद सदा स्वादिष्‍ट हुन्छ । त्यसको बास्‍ना नबदी रहन्‍छ ।

Moab is secure from his youth, And he [is] at rest for his preserved things, And he has not been emptied out from vessel to vessel, And he has not gone into captivity, Therefore his taste has remained in him, And his fragrance has not been changed.

12 त्यसैले हेर, यो परमप्रभु घोषणा हो, यस्ता दिनहरू आउँदैछन् जति बेला म त्यसलाई ती मानिसहरूकहाँ पठाउनेछु, जसले त्यसमाथि भाँडा घोप्ट्याउनेछन्, र त्यसका सबै घैँटा रित्त्याउनेछन्, र त्यसका गाग्राहरू चूरचूर पारेर फुटाइदिनेछन् ।

Therefore, behold, days are coming, A declaration of YHWH, And I have sent wanderers to him, And they have caused him to wander, And they empty out his vessels, And they dash his bottles in pieces.

13 तब जसरी आफूले भरोसा गरेको बेथेलदेखि इस्राएलको घराना लाजमा परेको थियो, त्यसै गरी मोआब कमोशदेखि लाजमा पारिनेछ ।

And Moab has been ashamed because of Chemosh, As the house of Israel has been ashamed Because of Beth-El, their confidence.

14 तँ कसरी यसो भन्‍न सक्छस्, 'हामी सिपाही, शक्तिशाली योद्धाहरू हौं’?

How do you say, We [are] mighty, And men of strength for battle?

15 मोआब सर्वनाश पारिनेछ, र यसका सहरहरू आक्रमणमा पर्नेछन् । किनकि यसका सबैभन्दा उत्तम युवाहरू हत्याको स्थानमा गएका छन् । यो महाराजको घोषणा हो । सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु उहाँको नाउँ हो ।

Moab is spoiled, and has gone up [from] her cities, And the choice of its young men Have gone down to slaughter, An affirmation of the King, YHWH of Hosts [is] His Name.

16 मोआबको विनाश चाँडै आउँनेछ । विपत्ति झट्टै हतारिंदैछ ।

The destruction of Moab is near to come, And his calamity has hurried exceedingly.

17 मोआबको वरिपरि भएका तिमीहरू सबै विलाप गर, र यसको ख्याति जान्‍नेहरू सबै यसो भन्दै कराओ, 'धिक्‍कार शक्तिशाली लट्ठीलाई! त्यो गौरवको लौरो भाँचिएको छ ।'

Bemoan for him, all you around him, And all knowing his name, say, How it has been broken, the staff of strength, The rod of beauty!

18 ए दीबोनकी छोरी हो, तेरो इज्‍जतदार ठाउँबाट तल झरेर आइज, र सुक्खा भुइँमा बस् । किनकि मोआबलाई नष्‍ट गर्नेले तँलाई आक्रमण गर्दैछ, जसले तेरा किल्लाबन्दी गरिएका सहरहरूलाई नष्‍ट गर्नेछ ।

Come down from glory, sit in thirst, O inhabitant, daughter of Dibon, For a spoiler of Moab has come up to you, He has destroyed your fortifications.

19 ए अरोएरमा बस्‍ने मानिसहरू हो, बाटोमा खडा होओ र हेर । भागिरहेका र उम्किरहेकाहरूला सोध, 'के भएको छ?'

Stand on the way, and watch, O inhabitant of Aroer, Ask the fugitive and escaped, Say, What has happened?

20 मोआब लाजमा परेको छ, किनकि यसलाई चूरचूर पारिएको छ । रोओ र विलाप गर! मदतको लागि गुहार! मोआब सर्वनाश पारिएको छ भनी अर्नोन नदीको किनारमा बस्‍ने मानिसहरूलाई बताओ ।

Moab has been put to shame, For it has been broken down, Howl and cry, declare in Arnon, For Moab is spoiled,

21 दण्ड पहाडी इलाकाहरूमा आएको छ– होलोन, यहसाह र मेपातमाथि,

And judgment has come to the land of the plain—to Holon, And to Jahazah, and on Mephaath,

22 दीबोन, नेबो र बेथ-दिब्लातैममाथि,

And on Dibon, and on Nebo, And on Beth-Diblathaim, and on Kirathaim,

23 किर्यातैम, बेथ-गमूएल र बेथ-मोनमाथि,

And on Beth-Gamul, and on Beth-Meon,

24 किर्योत, बोज्रा र मोआब देशका नजिक र टाढाका सबै सहरमाथि आएको छ ।

And on Kerioth, and on Bozrah, And on all cities of the land of Moab, The far off and the near.

25 मोआबको सिङ टुक्रा-टुक्रा पारिएको छ । यसको पाखुरा भाँचिएको छ, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो ।

The horn of Moab has been cut down, And his arm has been broken, A declaration of YHWH.

26 त्यसलाई मत्त्याओ, किनकि त्यो परमप्रभुको विरुद्धमा अहङ्कारी भयो । मोआब आफ्नै बान्तामा लडीबडी खेलोस्, र त्यो हाँसोको पात्र बनोस् ।

Declare him drunk, For he made himself great against YHWH And Moab has struck in his vomit, And he has been for a derision—even he.

27 किनकि के इस्राएल तेरो लागि हाँसोको पात्र बनेको थिएन र? के त्यसलाई चोरहरूका बिचमा पाइएको थियो ताकि तैंले त्यससित प्रायः कुरा गर्दा तैंले तेरो शिर हल्लाइस्?

And was Israel not the derision to you? Was he found among thieves? For since your words concerning him, You bemoan yourself.

28 ए मोआबका बासिन्दाहरू हो, सहरहरूलाई छोड र चट्टानहरूमा छाउनी हाल । चट्टानको दुलोको मुखमा गुँड लगाउने ढुकुरजस्तो होओ ।

Forsake cities, and dwell in a rock, You inhabitants of Moab, And be as a dove making a nest in the passages of a pit’s mouth.

29 हामीले मोआबको घमण्ड अर्थात् त्यसको अहङ्कार, त्यसको हठ, त्यसको शेखी, त्यसको आत्मगौरव र त्यसको हृदयमा भएको छलको बारेमा सुनेका छौं ।

We have heard of the arrogance of Moab, Exceedingly proud! His haughtiness, and his arrogance, And his pride, and the height of his heart,

30 यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो, त्यसको अटेरी बोली म आफैंलाई थाहा छ, जुन त्यसका कामहरूजस्तै व्यर्थको छ ।

I have known, a declaration of YHWH, His wrath, and [it is] not right, His boastings—they have done nothing right.

31 त्यसैले म मोआबको निम्ति विलाप गर्नेछु, र म सारा मोआबको लागि शोकमा काराउनेछु । म कीर-हरेशेतका मानिसहरूका लागि विलाप गर्नेछु ।

Therefore I howl for Moab, even for Moab—all of it, I cry for men of Kir-Heres, it mourns,

32 ए सिब्माका दाखको बोट हो, याजेरको लागि रोएको भन्दा म तेरो लागि बढी रुनेछु । तेरा हाँगाहरू नुनको समुद्र पार गरी याजेरसम्मे पुगे । विनाशकहरूले तेरो ग्रीष्म ऋतुको फल र तेरो दाखमद्यलाई आक्रमण गरेका छन् ।

With the weeping of Jazer, I weep for you, O vine of Sibmah, Your branches have passed over a sea, They have come to the Sea of Jazer, On your summer fruits, and on your harvest, A spoiler has fallen.

33 मोआब देश र त्‍यसका फल फलाउने रुखहरूबाट उत्सव र रमाहट खोसिएको छ । तिनीहरूका दाखको कोलबाट दाखको रस मैले बन्द गरेको छु । तिनीहरू आनन्दले कराउँदै कुल्चनेछैनन् । कुनै पनि स्‍वर आनन्दको स्‍वर हुनेछैन ।

And joy and gladness have been removed from the fruitful field, Even from the land of Moab, And I have caused wine to cease from winepresses, Shouting does not proceed, The shouting [is] not shouting!

34 तिनीहरू रोएको सोर हेश्बोनबाट एलालेसम्म र सोअरदेखि होरोनैम र एग्लत-शलीशियाहसम्मै सुनिएको छ, किनकि निम्रीमको पानी सुकिसकेको छ ।

Because of the cry of Heshbon to Elealeh, They have given their voice to Jahaz, From Zoar to Horonaim, A heifer of the third [year], For even [the] waters of Nimrim become desolations.

35 किनकि मोआबमा आफ्ना देवताहरूलाई उच्‍च स्थानहरूमा बलिदान चढाउने र धुप बाल्नेहरू जोकसैलाई म खतम पार्नेछु, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो ।

And I have caused to cease in Moab, A declaration of YHWH, Him who is offering in a high place, And him who is making incense to his god.

36 त्यसैले मेरो हृदयले मोआबको लागि बाँसुरीझैं विलाप गर्दैछ । कीर-हरेशेतका मानिसहरूका लागि मेरो हृदयले बाँसुरीझैं विलाप गर्दैछ । तिनीहरूले कमाएका धन-सम्पत्ति नष्‍ट भएका छन् ।

Therefore My heart sounds as pipes for Moab, And My heart sounds as pipes for men of Kir-Heres, Therefore the abundance he made perished.

37 किनकि हरेक तालु खुइलेको छ, र हरेक दारी खौरिएको छ । हरेकको हात काटेर चिरिएको छ, र तिनीहरूका कम्मरको चारैतिर भाङ्ग्रा छ ।

For every head [is] bald, and every beard diminished, On all hands—cuttings, and on the loins—sackcloth.

38 मोआबको हरेक समतल कौसी र मोआबका चोकहरूमा जताततै शोक छ । किनकि मैले मोआबलाई कसैले नचाहने भाँडोलाई झैं नाश पारेको छु, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो ।

On all roofs of Moab, and in her broad-places, All of it—lamentation, For I have broken Moab as a vessel in which there is no pleasure,” A declaration of YHWH.

39 त्यो कस्तो चूरचूर पारिएको छ! आफ्‍नो विलापमा तिनीहरू कसरी रुन्छन्! मोआबले लाजमा आफ्नो पिठिउँ फर्काउँछ । त्यसैले आफ्नो वरिपरि भएका सबैका लागि मोआब हाँसो र त्रासको पात्र बन्‍नेछ ।”

“How it has been broken down! They have howled, How Moab has turned the neck ashamed! And Moab has been for a derision And for a terror to all around her.”

40 किनकि परमप्रभु यसो भन्‍नुहुन्छ, “शत्रु मोआबमाथि आफ्नो पखेटा फैलाउँदै गरुडझैं उडेर आउनेछ ।

For thus said YHWH: “Behold, he flees as an eagle, And has spread his wings to Moab.

41 किर्योत कब्जा गरिएको छ, र यसका किल्लाहरू घेरिएका छन् । किनकि त्यस दिन मोआबका सिपाहीहरूका हृदयहरू प्रसव-वेदनामा भएका स्‍त्रीहरूका हृदयझैं हुनेछन् ।

The cities have been captured, And the strongholds are caught, And the heart of the mighty of Moab Has been in that day as the heart of a distressed woman.

42 त्यसैले मोआब पूर्ण रूपमा नष्‍ट पारिनेछ, र यो फेरि एउटा जाति रहनेछैन, किनकि परमप्रभुको विरुद्धमा यसले आफैलाई ठुलो बनायो ।

And Moab has been destroyed from [being] a people, For he exerted himself against YHWH.

43 ए मोआबका बासिन्दा हो, तँमाथि त्रास, खाडल र पासो आउँदैछन्, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो ।

Fear, and a snare, and a trap, [are] for you, O inhabitant of Moab—a declaration of YHWH,

44 त्रासको कारणले भाग्‍ने जो कोही पनि खाडलमा खस्‍नेछ, र खाडलबाट निस्केर आउने जो कोही पनि पासोमा पर्नेछ, किनकि म तिनीहरूमाथि मेरो बदलाको वर्षमा यी कुरा ल्याउनेछु, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो ।

Whoever is fleeing because of the fear falls into the snare, And whoever is coming up from the snare is captured by the trap, For I bring to her—to Moab—The year of their inspection, A declaration of YHWH.

45 भागेर जानेहरू ताकतविनै हेश्बोनको छायामा अडिनेछन्, किनकि हेश्बोनबाट आगो निस्कनेछ, सीहोनको बिचबाट ज्वाला आउनेछ । यसले मोआबको निधारलाई भस्म पार्नेछ, र घमण्डी मानिसहरूका शिरको थाप्लोलाई जलाइदिन्छ ।

In the shadow of Heshbon fugitives have stood powerless, For fire has gone forth from Heshbon, And a flame from within Sihon, And it consumes the corner of Moab, And the crown of the sons of Shaon.

46 ए मोआब, तँलाई धिक्‍कार छ! कमोशका मानिसहरू नष्‍ट पारिएका छन्, किनकि तेरा छोराहरू कैदीको रूपमा लगिएका छन्, र तेरा छोरीहरू निर्वासनमा लगिएका छन् ।

Woe to you, O Moab, The people of Chemosh have perished, For your sons were taken with the captives, And your daughters with the captivity.

47 तर पछिल्ला दिनमा म मोआबको सुदिन फर्काइदिने छु, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो । मोआबको इन्साफ यहीँ समाप्‍त हुन्छ ।

And I have turned back [to] the captivity of Moab, In the latter end of the days,” A declaration of YHWH! “Until now [is] the judgment of Moab.”
