यर्मिया 48
1 सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु इस्राएलका परमेश्वर मोआबलाई यसो भन्नुहुन्छः “नेबोलाई धिक्कार! किनकि यसलाई सर्वनाश पारिएको छ । कर्यातैमलाई अपमानित गरिएको छ र कब्जा गरिएको छ । त्यसका किल्लाहरू लाजमा पारिएका छन्, र भत्काइएका छन् ।
Concerning Moab, this is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: “Woe to Nebo, for it will be devastated. Kiriathaim will be captured and disgraced; the fortress will be shattered and dismantled.
2 फेरि मोआबको आदर गरिनेछैन । हेश्बोनमा भएका त्यसका शत्रुहरूले त्यसको विरुद्धमा विनाशको षड्यन्त्र रचेको छ । तिनीहरूले भने, 'आओ र जातिको रूपमा त्यसलाई नाश पारौं । बौलाहाहरू पनि नष्ट हुनेछन् । तरवाले तँलाई खेद्नेछ ।'
There is no longer praise for Moab; in Heshbon they devise evil against her: ‘Come, let us cut her off from nationhood.’ You too, O people of Madmen, will be silenced; the sword will pursue you.
3 सुन! होरोनैमबाट क्रन्दनको सोर आइरहेको छ, जहाँ भग्नावशेष र ठुलो विनाश छ ।
A voice cries out from Horonaim: ‘Devastation and great destruction!’
4 मोआब नष्ट पारिएको छ । त्यसका बच्चाहरू चिच्च्याएको सोर सुनिन्छ ।
Moab will be shattered; her little ones will cry out.
5 तिनीहरू रुँदै लूहीतको डाँडामा जान्छन्, किनकि विनाशको कारण होरोनैमको ओह्रालोमा क्रन्दन सुनिन्छ ।
For on the ascent to Luhith they weep bitterly as they go, and on the descent to Horonaim cries of distress resound over the destruction:
6 भाग, आ-आफ्ना ज्यान बचाओ, र उजाड-स्थानमा पोथ्राजस्तै बन ।
‘Flee! Run for your lives! Become like a juniper in the desert.’
7 किनकि तिमीहरूका अभ्यास र धनमा भएको तिमीहरूको भरोसाको कारण तिमीहरू समातिनेछौ । तब कमोश त्यसका पुजारीहरू र अगुवाहरूसँगै निर्वासनमा लगिनेछ ।
Because you trust in your works and treasures, you too will be captured, and Chemosh will go into exile with his priests and officials.
8 किनकि विनाशक हरेक सहरमा आउनेछ । कुनै पनि सहर उम्कनेछैन । त्यसैले बेँसी नष्ट हुनेछ, र मैदान सर्वनाश पारिनेछ जस्तो परमप्रभुले भन्नुभएको छ ।
The destroyer will move against every city, and not one town will escape. The valley will also be ruined, and the high plain will be destroyed, as the LORD has said.
9 मोआबलाई पखेटा देओ, किनकि निश्चय नै त्यसले उड्नुपर्नेछ । त्यसका सहरहरू काम नलाग्ने भूमि हुनेछन्, जहाँ बस्ने कोही हुनेछैन ।
Put salt on Moab, for she will be laid waste; her cities will become desolate, with no one to dwell in them.
10 परमप्रभुको काम गर्नमा अल्छे कुनै पनि व्यक्ति श्रापित होस् । रगत बगाउनदेखि आफ्नो तरवारलाई रोक्ने कुनै व्यक्ति श्रापित होस् ।
Cursed is the one who is remiss in doing the work of the LORD, and cursed is he who withholds his sword from bloodshed.
11 आफ्नो युवावस्थादेखि नै मोआबले आफूलाई सुरक्षित ठानेको छ । त्यो एउटा भाँडोदेखि अर्को भाँडोमा कहिल्यै नखन्याइएको दाखमद्यजस्तो हो । त्यसलाई कहिल्यै निर्वासनमा लगिएको छैन । त्यसकारण त्यसको स्वाद सदा स्वादिष्ट हुन्छ । त्यसको बास्ना नबदी रहन्छ ।
Moab has been at ease from youth, settled like wine on its dregs; he has not been poured from vessel to vessel or gone into exile. So his flavor has remained the same, and his aroma is unchanged.
12 त्यसैले हेर, यो परमप्रभु घोषणा हो, यस्ता दिनहरू आउँदैछन् जति बेला म त्यसलाई ती मानिसहरूकहाँ पठाउनेछु, जसले त्यसमाथि भाँडा घोप्ट्याउनेछन्, र त्यसका सबै घैँटा रित्त्याउनेछन्, र त्यसका गाग्राहरू चूरचूर पारेर फुटाइदिनेछन् ।
Therefore behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will send to him wanderers, who will pour him out. They will empty his vessels and shatter his jars.
13 तब जसरी आफूले भरोसा गरेको बेथेलदेखि इस्राएलको घराना लाजमा परेको थियो, त्यसै गरी मोआब कमोशदेखि लाजमा पारिनेछ ।
Then Moab will be ashamed of Chemosh, just as the house of Israel was ashamed when they trusted in Bethel.
14 तँ कसरी यसो भन्न सक्छस्, 'हामी सिपाही, शक्तिशाली योद्धाहरू हौं’?
How can you say, ‘We are warriors, mighty men ready for battle’?
15 मोआब सर्वनाश पारिनेछ, र यसका सहरहरू आक्रमणमा पर्नेछन् । किनकि यसका सबैभन्दा उत्तम युवाहरू हत्याको स्थानमा गएका छन् । यो महाराजको घोषणा हो । सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु उहाँको नाउँ हो ।
Moab has been destroyed and its towns have been invaded; the best of its young men have gone down in the slaughter, declares the King, whose name is the LORD of Hosts.
16 मोआबको विनाश चाँडै आउँनेछ । विपत्ति झट्टै हतारिंदैछ ।
Moab’s calamity is at hand, and his affliction is rushing swiftly.
17 मोआबको वरिपरि भएका तिमीहरू सबै विलाप गर, र यसको ख्याति जान्नेहरू सबै यसो भन्दै कराओ, 'धिक्कार शक्तिशाली लट्ठीलाई! त्यो गौरवको लौरो भाँचिएको छ ।'
Mourn for him, all you who surround him, everyone who knows his name; tell how the mighty scepter is shattered— the glorious staff!
18 ए दीबोनकी छोरी हो, तेरो इज्जतदार ठाउँबाट तल झरेर आइज, र सुक्खा भुइँमा बस् । किनकि मोआबलाई नष्ट गर्नेले तँलाई आक्रमण गर्दैछ, जसले तेरा किल्लाबन्दी गरिएका सहरहरूलाई नष्ट गर्नेछ ।
Come down from your glory; sit on parched ground, O daughter dwelling in Dibon, for the destroyer of Moab has come against you; he has destroyed your fortresses.
19 ए अरोएरमा बस्ने मानिसहरू हो, बाटोमा खडा होओ र हेर । भागिरहेका र उम्किरहेकाहरूला सोध, 'के भएको छ?'
Stand by the road and watch, O dweller of Aroer! Ask the man fleeing or the woman escaping, ‘What has happened?’
20 मोआब लाजमा परेको छ, किनकि यसलाई चूरचूर पारिएको छ । रोओ र विलाप गर! मदतको लागि गुहार! मोआब सर्वनाश पारिएको छ भनी अर्नोन नदीको किनारमा बस्ने मानिसहरूलाई बताओ ।
Moab is put to shame, for it has been shattered. Wail and cry out! Declare by the Arnon that Moab is destroyed.
21 दण्ड पहाडी इलाकाहरूमा आएको छ– होलोन, यहसाह र मेपातमाथि,
Judgment has come upon the high plain— upon Holon, Jahzah, and Mephaath,
22 दीबोन, नेबो र बेथ-दिब्लातैममाथि,
upon Dibon, Nebo, and Beth-diblathaim,
23 किर्यातैम, बेथ-गमूएल र बेथ-मोनमाथि,
upon Kiriathaim, Beth-gamul, and Beth-meon,
24 किर्योत, बोज्रा र मोआब देशका नजिक र टाढाका सबै सहरमाथि आएको छ ।
upon Kerioth, Bozrah, and all the towns of Moab, those far and near.
25 मोआबको सिङ टुक्रा-टुक्रा पारिएको छ । यसको पाखुरा भाँचिएको छ, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो ।
The horn of Moab has been cut off, and his arm is broken,”
26 त्यसलाई मत्त्याओ, किनकि त्यो परमप्रभुको विरुद्धमा अहङ्कारी भयो । मोआब आफ्नै बान्तामा लडीबडी खेलोस्, र त्यो हाँसोको पात्र बनोस् ।
“Make him drunk, because he has magnified himself against the LORD; so Moab will wallow in his own vomit, and he will also become a laughingstock.
27 किनकि के इस्राएल तेरो लागि हाँसोको पात्र बनेको थिएन र? के त्यसलाई चोरहरूका बिचमा पाइएको थियो ताकि तैंले त्यससित प्रायः कुरा गर्दा तैंले तेरो शिर हल्लाइस्?
Was not Israel your object of ridicule? Was he ever found among thieves? For whenever you speak of him you shake your head.
28 ए मोआबका बासिन्दाहरू हो, सहरहरूलाई छोड र चट्टानहरूमा छाउनी हाल । चट्टानको दुलोको मुखमा गुँड लगाउने ढुकुरजस्तो होओ ।
Abandon the towns and settle among the rocks, O dwellers of Moab! Be like a dove that nests at the mouth of a cave.
29 हामीले मोआबको घमण्ड अर्थात् त्यसको अहङ्कार, त्यसको हठ, त्यसको शेखी, त्यसको आत्मगौरव र त्यसको हृदयमा भएको छलको बारेमा सुनेका छौं ।
We have heard of Moab’s pomposity, his exceeding pride and conceit, his proud arrogance and haughtiness of heart.
30 यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो, त्यसको अटेरी बोली म आफैंलाई थाहा छ, जुन त्यसका कामहरूजस्तै व्यर्थको छ ।
I know his insolence,” declares the LORD, “but it is futile. His boasting is as empty as his deeds.
31 त्यसैले म मोआबको निम्ति विलाप गर्नेछु, र म सारा मोआबको लागि शोकमा काराउनेछु । म कीर-हरेशेतका मानिसहरूका लागि विलाप गर्नेछु ।
Therefore I will wail for Moab; I will cry out for all of Moab; I will moan for the men of Kir-heres.
32 ए सिब्माका दाखको बोट हो, याजेरको लागि रोएको भन्दा म तेरो लागि बढी रुनेछु । तेरा हाँगाहरू नुनको समुद्र पार गरी याजेरसम्मे पुगे । विनाशकहरूले तेरो ग्रीष्म ऋतुको फल र तेरो दाखमद्यलाई आक्रमण गरेका छन् ।
I will weep for you, O vine of Sibmah, more than I weep for Jazer. Your tendrils have extended to the sea; they reach even to Jazer. The destroyer has descended on your summer fruit and grape harvest.
33 मोआब देश र त्यसका फल फलाउने रुखहरूबाट उत्सव र रमाहट खोसिएको छ । तिनीहरूका दाखको कोलबाट दाखको रस मैले बन्द गरेको छु । तिनीहरू आनन्दले कराउँदै कुल्चनेछैनन् । कुनै पनि स्वर आनन्दको स्वर हुनेछैन ।
Joy and gladness are removed from the orchard and from the fields of Moab. I have stopped the flow of wine from the presses; no one treads them with shouts of joy; their shouts are not for joy.
34 तिनीहरू रोएको सोर हेश्बोनबाट एलालेसम्म र सोअरदेखि होरोनैम र एग्लत-शलीशियाहसम्मै सुनिएको छ, किनकि निम्रीमको पानी सुकिसकेको छ ।
There is a cry from Heshbon to Elealeh; they raise their voices to Jahaz, from Zoar to Horonaim and Eglath-shelishiyah; for even the waters of Nimrim have dried up.
35 किनकि मोआबमा आफ्ना देवताहरूलाई उच्च स्थानहरूमा बलिदान चढाउने र धुप बाल्नेहरू जोकसैलाई म खतम पार्नेछु, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो ।
In Moab, declares the LORD, I will bring an end to those who make offerings on the high places and burn incense to their gods.
36 त्यसैले मेरो हृदयले मोआबको लागि बाँसुरीझैं विलाप गर्दैछ । कीर-हरेशेतका मानिसहरूका लागि मेरो हृदयले बाँसुरीझैं विलाप गर्दैछ । तिनीहरूले कमाएका धन-सम्पत्ति नष्ट भएका छन् ।
Therefore My heart laments like a flute for Moab; it laments like a flute for the men of Kir-heres, because the wealth they acquired has perished.
37 किनकि हरेक तालु खुइलेको छ, र हरेक दारी खौरिएको छ । हरेकको हात काटेर चिरिएको छ, र तिनीहरूका कम्मरको चारैतिर भाङ्ग्रा छ ।
For every head is shaved and every beard is clipped; on every hand is a gash, and around every waist is sackcloth.
38 मोआबको हरेक समतल कौसी र मोआबका चोकहरूमा जताततै शोक छ । किनकि मैले मोआबलाई कसैले नचाहने भाँडोलाई झैं नाश पारेको छु, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो ।
On all the rooftops of Moab and in the public squares, everyone is mourning; for I have shattered Moab like an unwanted jar,”
39 त्यो कस्तो चूरचूर पारिएको छ! आफ्नो विलापमा तिनीहरू कसरी रुन्छन्! मोआबले लाजमा आफ्नो पिठिउँ फर्काउँछ । त्यसैले आफ्नो वरिपरि भएका सबैका लागि मोआब हाँसो र त्रासको पात्र बन्नेछ ।”
“How shattered it is! How they wail! How Moab has turned his back in shame! Moab has become an object of ridicule and horror to all those around him.”
40 किनकि परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छ, “शत्रु मोआबमाथि आफ्नो पखेटा फैलाउँदै गरुडझैं उडेर आउनेछ ।
For this is what the LORD says: “Behold, an eagle swoops down and spreads his wings against Moab.
41 किर्योत कब्जा गरिएको छ, र यसका किल्लाहरू घेरिएका छन् । किनकि त्यस दिन मोआबका सिपाहीहरूका हृदयहरू प्रसव-वेदनामा भएका स्त्रीहरूका हृदयझैं हुनेछन् ।
Kirioth has been taken, and the strongholds seized. In that day the heart of Moab’s warriors will be like the heart of a woman in labor.
42 त्यसैले मोआब पूर्ण रूपमा नष्ट पारिनेछ, र यो फेरि एउटा जाति रहनेछैन, किनकि परमप्रभुको विरुद्धमा यसले आफैलाई ठुलो बनायो ।
Moab will be destroyed as a nation because he vaunted himself against the LORD.
43 ए मोआबका बासिन्दा हो, तँमाथि त्रास, खाडल र पासो आउँदैछन्, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो ।
Terror and pit and snare await you, O dweller of Moab,”
44 त्रासको कारणले भाग्ने जो कोही पनि खाडलमा खस्नेछ, र खाडलबाट निस्केर आउने जो कोही पनि पासोमा पर्नेछ, किनकि म तिनीहरूमाथि मेरो बदलाको वर्षमा यी कुरा ल्याउनेछु, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो ।
“Whoever flees the panic will fall into the pit, and whoever climbs from the pit will be caught in the snare. For I will bring upon Moab the year of their punishment,”
45 भागेर जानेहरू ताकतविनै हेश्बोनको छायामा अडिनेछन्, किनकि हेश्बोनबाट आगो निस्कनेछ, सीहोनको बिचबाट ज्वाला आउनेछ । यसले मोआबको निधारलाई भस्म पार्नेछ, र घमण्डी मानिसहरूका शिरको थाप्लोलाई जलाइदिन्छ ।
“Those who flee will stand helpless in Heshbon’s shadow, because fire has gone forth from Heshbon and a flame from within Sihon. It devours the foreheads of Moab and the skulls of the sons of tumult.
46 ए मोआब, तँलाई धिक्कार छ! कमोशका मानिसहरू नष्ट पारिएका छन्, किनकि तेरा छोराहरू कैदीको रूपमा लगिएका छन्, र तेरा छोरीहरू निर्वासनमा लगिएका छन् ।
Woe to you, O Moab! The people of Chemosh have perished; for your sons have been taken into exile and your daughters have gone into captivity.
47 तर पछिल्ला दिनमा म मोआबको सुदिन फर्काइदिने छु, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो । मोआबको इन्साफ यहीँ समाप्त हुन्छ ।
Yet in the latter days I will restore Moab from captivity,” declares the LORD. Here ends the judgment on Moab.
