यर्मिया 39
1 यहूदाका राजाको नवौँ वर्षको दसौँ महिनामा बेबिलोनका राजा नबूकदनेसर यरूशलेमका विरुद्धमा आफ्ना सबै सेना लिएर आए, र यसलाई घेराबन्दी गरे ।
In the ninth year of Zedekiah the king of Judah, in the tenth month, that Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon came with all his army against Jerusalem, and they besieged it.
2 सिदकियाहको एघारौं वर्षको चौथो महिनाको नवौँ दिनमा सहरको पर्खाल भत्काइयो ।
[And] in the eleventh year of Zedekiah, in the fourth month, on the ninth day of the month, was the city broken in.
3 तब बेबिलोनका राजाका सबै अधिकारी अर्थात् नेबो-सर्सेकिम, सम्गर-नेबो र एक उच्च अधिकारी सर्सेचिम आएर मध्य ढोकामा बसे । नेबो-सर्सेकिम बेबिलोनका राजाका विशिष्ट अधिकारी थिए, र अरू बाँकी सबै अधिकारीहरू थिए ।
And then came all the princes of the king of Babylon, and sat down in the middle gate; [namely, ] Neregal-sharezer, Samgar-nebu, Sarsechim, the chief of the eunuchs, Neregal-sharezer, the chief of the magi, with all the residue of the princes of the king of Babylon.
4 जब यहूदाका राजा सिदकियाह र सबै योद्धाले तिनीहरूलाई देखे, तिनीहरू भागे । तिनीहरू रातमा दुई पर्खालको बिचमा भएको ढोकाबाट छिरेर राजको बगैँचाको बाटो भएर सहरबाट भागे । राजा अराबा जाने बाटोतिर लागे ।
And it came to pass when Zedekiah the king of Judah saw them, and all the men of war, that they fled, and went forth out of the city by night, by the way of the king's garden, by the gate between the two walls: and he went out by the way of the plain.
5 तर कल्दीहरूका सेनाले तिनीहरूलाई खेदे, र यरीहो नजिकै यर्दन नदीको बेँसीको मैदानमा सिदकियाहलाई भेट्टाए । तिनीहरूलाई तिनलाई पक्रे र हमात देशको रिब्ला भन्ने ठाउँमा बेबिलोनका राजा नबूकदनेसरकहाँ ल्याए, जहाँ नबूकदनेसरले तिनलाई दण्डाज्ञा दिए ।
But the army of the Chaldeans pursued after them, and they overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho; and they took him, and brought him up to Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Chamath: and he called him to account.
6 रिब्लामा बेबिलोनका राजाले सिदकियाहका आँखाकै सामु तिनका छोराहरूलाई मारे । तिनले यहूदाका सबै कुलीनहरूलाई पनि मारे ।
And the king of Babylon slaughtered the sons of Zedekiah in Riblah before his eyes; also all the nobles of Judah did the king of Babylon slaughter.
7 तब तिनले सिदकियाहका आँखा निकाले, र तिनलाई बेबिलोनमा लान काँसाको साङ्लाले बाँधे ।
And the eyes of Zedekiah did he blind; and he bound him with brazen fetters, to carry him to Babylon.
8 अनि कल्दीहरूले राजदरबार र मानिसका घरहरू जलाए । तिनीहरूले यरूशलेमका पर्खालहरू पनि भत्काए ।
And the house of the king, and the houses of the people did the Chaldeans burn with fire, and the walls of Jerusalem did they pull down.
9 राजाको अङ्गरक्षकका सेनापति नबूजरदानले सहरमा बाँकी रहेका मानिसहरूलाई निर्वासनमा लगे । कल्दीहरूकहाँ भागेर गएका र सहरमा छाडिएका बाँकी मानिसहरू सबै नै लगिए ।
And the rest of the people that remained in the city, and those who had run away that had run away to him, with the rest of the people that remained, did Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carry off into exile to Babylon.
10 तर अङ्गरक्षकका कप्तापन नबूजरदानले केही नभएका सबैभन्दा गरिब मानिसहरूलाई यहूदा देशमा छाडे । त्यही दिन तिनले तिनीहरूलाई दाखाबारी र खेतहरू दिए ।
But of the poorest of the people, who had nothing, did Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard leave some in the land of Judah, and gave them vineyards and arable fields at the same time.
11 बेबिलोनका राजा नबूकदेनसरले राजाका अङ्गरक्षकका कप्तान नबूजरदानलाई यर्मियाको विषयमा हुकुम दिएका थिए,
And Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon gave charge concerning Jeremiah through means of Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, saying,
12 “तिनलाई लेजाऊ र तिनको राम्रो हेरचाह गर । तिनलाई कुनै हानि नगर । त्यसले तिमीलाई भनेका हर कुरा गर्नू ।”
Take him, and direct thy eyes to him, and do him not the least harm; but as he may speak unto thee, even so do thou with him.
13 त्यसैले राजाका अङ्गरक्षकका कप्तान नबूजरदान, उच्च नपुंसक नबुशजबान, उच्च अधिकृत नेर्गल-सरेसर र बेबिलोनका राजाका अरू सबै उच्च अधिकारीहरूले अरू मानिसहरूलाई बाहिर पठाए ।
Then sent Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, and Nebushazban, the chief of the eunuchs, and Neregal-sharezer, the chief of the magi, and all the chiefs of the king of Babylon, —
14 तिनीहरूका मानिसहरूले यर्मियालाई गारदको चोकबाट लिएर गए, र घरमा नै लैजान शापानका नाति, अहीकामका छोरा गदल्याहको हातमा जिम्मा दिए । यसरी यर्मिया मानिसहरूकै बिचमा बसे ।
Even they sent, and took Jeremiah out of the court of the prison, and they committed him unto Gedalyahu the son of Achikam the son of Shaphan, to carry him home: and he remained in the midst of the people.
15 यर्मिया गारदको चोकमा गिरफ्तार भएकै बेलामा परमप्रभुको वचन यसो भनेर तिनीकहाँ आयो,
But unto Jeremiah was come the word of the Lord while he was shut up in the court of the prison, saying,
16 “कूशी एबेद-मेलेकलाई भन्, 'सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु इस्राएलका परमेश्वर यसो भन्नुहुन्छः यस सहरको विरुद्धमा भलाई नभई विपत्ति ल्याएर मैले मेरा वचन पुरा गर्नै लागेको छु । त्यस दिन तेरै सामु यी सबै वचन पुरा हुनेछन् ।
Go and say to 'Ebed-melech the Cushi as followeth, Thus hath said the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, Behold, I will bring my words [to fulfillment] against this city for evil, and not for good; and they shall be accomplished before thee on that day.
17 तर त्यस दिन म तँलाईचाहिं छुटकारा दिनेछु, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो, र तँ जसदेखि डराउँछस्, म तँलाई तिनीहरूको हातमा दिनेछैनँ ।
But I will deliver thee on that day, saith the Lord; and thou shalt not be given up into the hand of the men of whom thou hast dread.
18 किनकि म निश्चय नै तँलाई छुटकारा दिनेछु । तँ तरवारले ढालिनेछैनस् । तैंले ममाथि भरोसा गरेको हुनाले तेरो जीवन जोगिनेछ, यो परमप्रभु घोषणा थियो' ।”
For I will surely let thee escape, and thou shalt not fall by the sword; but thy life shall be unto thee as a booty; because thou hast put thy trust in me, saith the Lord.
