यर्मिया 31

1 यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो, “त्यस बेला म इस्राएलका सबै वंशको परमेश्‍वर हुनेछु, र तिनीहरू मेरा मानिसहरू हुनेछन् ।”

“At that time—this is Yahweh's declaration—I will be the God of all the clans of Israel, and they will be my people.”

2 परमप्रभु यसो भन्‍नुहुन्छ, “तरवारबाट बाँचेका मानिसहरूले उजाड-स्थानमा निगाह प्राप्‍त गरेका छन् । इस्राएललाई विश्राम दिन म बाहिर निस्कनेछु ।”

Yahweh says this, “The people who have survived the sword have found favor in the wilderness; I will go out to give rest to Israel.”

3 विगतमा परमप्रभु मकहाँ देखा पर्नुभयो र भन्‍नुभयो, “ए इस्राएल, मैले तँलाई अनन्त प्रेमले प्रेम गरेको छु । त्यसैले मैले तँलाई करारको विश्‍वसनीयताले मतिर खिँचेको छु ।

Yahweh appeared to me in the past and said, “I have loved you, Israel, with everlasting love. So I have drawn you toward myself with covenant faithfulness.

4 ए कन्या इस्राएल, म तँलाई फेरि निर्माण गर्नेछु, यसरी तँ निर्माण हुनेछस् । तैंले फेरि आफ्ना खैँजडीहरू लिनेछस् र खुसीको नाचसहित बाहर निस्कनेछस् ।

I will build you up again so you will be built, virgin Israel. You will again pick up your tambourines and go out with happy dances.

5 सामरियाका पहाडहरूमा तैंले फेरि दाखबारीहरू लगाउनेछस् । किसानहरूले रोप्नेछन्, र फललाई असलको उद्धेश्यको लागि प्रयोग गर्नेछन् ।

You will plant vineyards again on the mountains of Samaria; the farmers will plant and put the fruit to good use.

6 किनकि एक दिन आउनेछ, जुन बेला एफ्राइमका पहाडहरूका पहरेदारहरूले घोषणा गर्नेछन्, 'उठ, हामी परमप्रभु हाम्रा परमेश्‍वरकहाँ सियोनमा जाऔं' ।”

For a day will come when the watchmen in the mountains of Ephraim will proclaim, 'Arise, let us go up to Zion to Yahweh our God.'

7 किनकि परमप्रभु यसो भन्‍नुहुन्छ, “याकूबको निम्ति आनन्दले कराओ । जातिहरूका मानिसहरूका प्रमुखको लागि खुसीले चिच्‍च्याओ । प्रशंसा सुनियोस् । यसो भन, 'परमप्रभुले आफ्ना जाति, इस्राएलका बाँकी रहेकाहरूलाई उद्धार गर्नुभएको छ ।'

For Yahweh says this, “Shout for joy over Jacob! Shout in gladness for the chief people of the nations! Let praise be heard. Say, 'Yahweh has rescued his people, the remnant of Israel.'

8 हेर, मैले तिनीहरूलाई उत्तरी देशहरूबाट फर्काएर ल्याउनै लागेको छु । म तिनीहरूलाई पृथ्वीका पल्ला छेउहरूबाट जम्मा गर्नेछु । तिनीहरूका बिचमा दृष्‍टिविहीन र लङ्गडाहरू हुनेछन् । गर्भवती स्‍त्रीहरू र बच्‍चा जन्माउनै लागेकाहरू तिनीहरूसितै हुनेछन् । एउटा ठुलो समुदाय यहाँ फर्कनेछ ।

See, I am about to bring them from the northern lands. I will gather them from the farthest parts of the earth. The blind and lame will be among them; pregnant women and those who are about to give birth will be with them. A great assembly will return here.

9 तिनीहरू रुँदै आउनेछन् । तिनीहरूले आ-आफ्ना बिन्ती बिसाउँदा म तिनीहरूलाई अगुवाइ गर्नेछु । म तिनीहरूलाई सिधा मार्गमा पानीका खोलाहरूबाट यात्रा गराउनेछु । तिनीहरू यसमा ठोकिनेछैनन्, किनकि म इस्राएलको पिता हुनेछु, र एफ्राइम मेरो जेठो छोरा हुनेछ ।”

They will come weeping; I will lead them as they make their pleas. I will have them journey to streams of water on a straight road. They will not stumble on it, for I will be a father to Israel, and Ephraim will be my firstborn.”

10 “हे जातिहरू हो, परमप्रभुको वचन सुन । टाढाका समुद्रतटका देशहरूलाई घोषणा गर, जतिहरूले यसो भन्‍नुपर्छ, 'इस्राएललाई तितर-बितर पार्नुहुनेले तिनीहरूलाई जम्मा गर्दै हुनुहुन्छ र गोठालोलो आफ्ना भेडाहरूलाई रक्षा गरेझैं रक्षा गर्दै हुनुहुन्छ ।'

“Hear the word of Yahweh, nations. Report along the coasts in the distance. You nations must say, 'The one who scattered Israel is gathering her up and keeping her as a shepherd keeps his sheep.'

11 किनकि परमप्रभुले याकूबलाई मोल तिरेर छुटाउनुभएको छ, र उसको भन्दा धेरै शक्तिशाली हातबाट उसलाई छुटकारा दिनुभएको छ ।

For Yahweh has ransomed Jacob and has redeemed him from the hand that was too strong for him.

12 तब तिनीहरू आउनेछन् र सियोनका पर्वतहरूमा रमाउनेछन् । मकै र नयाँ दाखमद्य, तेल र गाईवस्तुका बाछाहरू भेडा-बाख्राका पाठाहरूमाथि परमप्रभुको भलाइको कारणले, तिनीहरूका मुहार चम्कनेछन् । किनकि तिनीहरूको जीवन पानीले भिजेको बगैँचाजस्तै हुनेछ, र तिनीहरूले फेरि कहिल्यै दुःखको महसुस गर्नेछैनन् ।

Then they will come and rejoice on the heights of Zion. Their faces will shine because of Yahweh's goodness, over the corn and the new wine, over the oil and the offspring of the flocks and herds. For their lives will become like a watered garden, and they will never again feel any more sorrow.

13 तब कन्याहरू नाच्दै रमाउनेछन्, र युवा अनि पाकाहरू एकै ठाउँमा आउनेछन् । किनकि तिनीहरूको शोकलाई म उत्सवमा परिणत गर्नेछु । म तिनीहरूमाथि दया देखाउनेछु, र शोक गर्नुको साटो आनन्द मनाउन लगाउनेछु ।

Then virgins will rejoice with dancing, and young and old men will be together. For I will change their mourning into celebration. I will have compassion on them and cause them to rejoice instead of sorrowing.

14 तब पुजारीहरूका जीवनलाई म प्रशस्त मात्रामा परिपूर्ण पार्नेछु । मेरा मानिसहरू मेरो भलाइले भरिनेछ, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो ।”

Then I will saturate the lives of the priests in abundance. My people will fill themselves with my goodness—this is Yahweh's declaration.”

15 परमप्रभु यसो भन्‍नुहुन्छ, “रामामा विलाप गरेको र धुरुधुरु रोएको एउटा सोर सुनिएको छ । राहेल आफ्ना सन्तानका लागि रुँदैछे । त्यसले सान्त्वना पाउनलाई इन्कार गरेकी छे, किनकि तिनीहरू अब फेरि जीवित छैनन् ।”

Yahweh says this: “A voice is heard in Ramah, wailing and bitter weeping. It is Rachel weeping for her children. She refuses to be comforted over them, for they live no longer.”

16 परमप्रभु यसो भन्‍नुहुन्छ, “रुनदेखि आफ्नो सोर रोक, र आँखाबाट आँसु नखसाल । तिमीहरूको कामको लागि एउटा इनमा छ, यो परमप्रभुको हो, तिमीहरूका छोराछोरी शत्रुको देशबाट फर्कनेछन् ।

Yahweh says this, “Hold your voice back from weeping and your eyes from tears; there is a reward for your work—this is Yahweh's declaration—your children will return from the land of the enemy.

17 तिमीहरूको भविष्यको लागि आशा छ, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो, तिमीहरूका सन्तानहरू तिमीहरूका सिमानाहरूभित्र फर्कनेछन् ।”

There is hope for your future—this is Yahweh's declaration—your descendants will return inside their borders.”

18 “निश्‍चय नै मैले एफ्राइमको शोक गरेको सुनेको छु, 'तपाईंले मलाई दण्ड दिनुभयो, र एउटा नदाएको बाछालाई झैं मलाई दण्ड दिइएको छ । मलाई फर्काएर ल्याउनुहोस्, र म फर्काइनेछु, किनकि तपाईं परमप्रभु मेरा परमेश्‍वर हुनुहुन्छ ।

“I have certainly heard Ephraim sorrowing, 'You punished me, and I have been punished like an untrained calf. Bring me back and I will be brought back, for you are Yahweh my God.

19 किनकि म तपाईंकहाँ फर्केपछि म दुःखित भएँ । मलाई तालिम दिइएपछि मैले आफ्नो तिघ्रामा हिर्काएँ । म लज्‍जित र अपमानित भएँ, किनकि मैले आफ्‍नो युवावस्थाको दोष बोकेको छु ।'

For after I turned back to you, I was sorry; after I was trained, I slapped my thigh. I was ashamed and humiliated, for I have borne the guilt of my youth.'

20 के एफ्राइम मेरो बहुमूल्य बालक होइन र? के त्यो मेरो प्रिय, आनन्दित छोरो होइन र? किनकि मैले जहिलेसुकै त्यसको विरुद्धमा बोल्दा, म निश्‍चय नै त्यसलाई मेरो प्रेमिलो हृदयमा सम्झन्छु । यसरी मेरो हृदय त्यसको लागि लालायित हुन्छ । म निश्‍चय नै त्यसमाथि दया देखाउने छु, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो ।”

Is not Ephraim my precious child? Is he not my dear, delightful son? For whenever I speak against him, I certainly still call him to my loving mind. In this way my heart longs for him. I will certainly have compassion on him—this is Yahweh's declaration.”

21 “आफ्ना लागि बाटो देखाउने सङ्केतहरू राख् । आफ्ना लागि खम्बाहरू खडा गर् । तेरो मन तँ हिंड्नुपर्ने ठिक मार्गमा लगा । ए कन्या इस्राएल, फर्केर आइज । तेरा यी सहरहरूमा फर्केर आइज ।

Place road signs for yourself. Set up guideposts for yourself. Set your mind on the right path, the way you should take. Come back, virgin Israel! Come back to these cities of yours.

22 ए विश्‍वासघाती छोरी, तँ कहिलेसम्म यताउता गरिबस्छेस्? किनकि परमप्रभुले पृथ्वीमा केही नयाँ कुरो सृजनुभएको छ अर्थात् एक जना स्‍त्रीले एक जना बलियो पुरुषलाई घेर्छे ।”

How long will you waver, faithless daughter? For Yahweh has created something new on earth—a woman surrounds a strong man.

23 सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु इस्राएलका परमेश्‍वर यसो भन्‍नुहुन्छ, “मैले यस जातिलाई तिनीहरूको देशमा फर्काएर ल्याउँदा तिनीहरूले यहूदा र यसका सहरहरूमा यसो भन्‍नेछन्, 'उहाँ बस्‍नुहुने ए धर्मी बासस्थान्, ए पवित्र पर्वत, परमप्रभुले तँलाई आशिष् देऊन् ।'

Yahweh of hosts, the God of Israel, says this, “When I bring back the people to their land, they will say this in the land of Judah and its cities, 'May Yahweh bless you, you righteous place where he lives, you holy mountain.'

24 किनकि किसानहरू र आफ्ना बगालहरूसित घुम्ने गोठालाहरूझैं यहूदा र यसका सहरहरू सँगसँगै त्‍यहाँ बस्‍नेछन् ।

For Judah and all its cities will live together there, as will farmers and those who set out with flocks.

25 किनकि थाकेकाहरूलाई म पिउन लयाउनेछु, र मूर्छा खाएकाहरूलाई म सन्तुष्‍ट पार्नेछु ।”

For I will cause those who are weary to drink, and I fill up those who are faint.”

26 यसपछि म ब्युँझेँ, र मेरा भेडाहरू ताजा हुँदै गरेको मैले थाहा पाएँ ।

After this I awoke, and I realized that my sleep had been refreshing.

27 यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो, “हेर्, यस्‍ता दिनहरू आउँदैछन्‌, जुन बेला इस्राएल र यहूदाका घरानाहरूलाई मान्छे र पशुका सन्तानहरूले म रोप्नेछु ।

“Look, the days are coming—this is Yahweh's declaration—when I will sow the houses of Israel and Judah with the descendants of man and beast.

28 विगतमा मैले तिनीहरूलाई जरैदेखि उखेल्न, लछार्न, नष्‍ट पार्न र हानि गर्न तिनीहरूलाई मेरो निगरानीमा राखेँ । तर आउने दिनहरूमा, तिनीहरूलाई निर्माण गर्न र तिनीहरूलाई रोप्न, म तिनीहरूको रेखदेख गर्नेछु, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो ।”

In the past, I kept them under surveillance in order to uproot them and to tear them down, to overthrow, destroy, and bring them harm. But in the coming days, I will watch over them, in order to build them up and to plant them—this is Yahweh's declaration.

29 “ती दिनमा कसैले पनि यसो भन्‍नेछैन, 'अमिलो अङ्गुर खानेचाहिं बुबा, तर दाँत कुँडिनेचाहिं छोराछोरीको!'

In those days no one will say any longer, 'Fathers have eaten sour grapes, but the children's teeth are dulled.'

30 किनकि हरेक मानिस आफ्नै अधर्ममा मर्नेछ । जसले अमिलो अङ्गुर खान्छ, त्यसकै दाँत कुँडिनेछ ।

For each man will die in his own iniquity; everyone who eats sour grapes, his teeth will be dulled.

31 यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो, हेर्, यस्‍ता दिनहरू आउँदैछन्, जुना बेला म इस्राएल र यहूदाका घरानासित एउटा नयाँ करार स्थापित गर्नेछु ।

Look, the days are coming —this is Yahweh's declaration— when I will establish a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah.

32 मैले तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूसित बाँधेको करारजस्तो यो हुनेछैन, जब मैले तिनीहरूलाई तिनीहरूका हात समातेर मिश्रदेशबाट बाहिर ल्याएँ, किनकि तिनीहरूले मेरो करार भङ्ग गरे तापनि म तिनीहरूका पति भएँ, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो ।

It will not be like the covenant that I established with their fathers in the days when I took them by their hand to bring them out from the land of Egypt, because they broke my covenant, although I was a husband for them. —this is Yahweh's declaration.

33 इस्राएलको घरानासित मैले बाँध्‍ने करार यही हो, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो । यी दिनपछि म आफ्‍नो व्यवस्था तिनीहरूभित्र हाल्‍नेछु, र तिनीहरूका हृदयमा यो लेख्‍नेछु, किनकि म तिनीहरूका परमेश्‍वर हुनेछु, र तिनीहरू मेरा मानिसहरू हुनेछन् ।

This is the covenant that I will establish with the house of Israel after these days —this is Yahweh's declaration. I will place my law within them and will write it on their heart, for I will be their God, and they will be my people.

34 तब हरेक मानिसले फेरि आफ्नो छिमेकी वा हरेक मानिसले आफ्नो भाइलाई यसो भनेर सिकाउने छैन, 'परमप्रभुलाई चिन ।' किनकि सानादेखि ठुलासम्म तिनीहरू सबैले मलाई चिन्‍नेछन्‌, यो यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो । किनकि म तिनीहरूको अधर्म क्षमा दिनेछु, र फेरि तिनीहरूका पाप सम्झनेछैनँ ।”

Then each man will no longer teach his neighbor, or a man teach his brother and say, 'Know Yahweh!' For all of them will know me, from the smallest of them to the greatest —this is Yahweh's declaration— for I will forgive their iniquity and will no longer call their sins to mind.”

35 परमप्रभु यसो भन्‍नुहुन्छ, “दिनमा प्रकाश दिन सूर्य र रातमा प्रकाश दिन चन्द्रमा र ताराहरूलाई उहाँले नै निधो गर्नुहुन्छ । समुद्रका छाल गर्जनलाई उहाँले नै यसलाई गतिवान् बनाउनुहुन्छ । सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु उहाँको नाउँ हो ।”

Yahweh says this, it is he who makes the sun to shine by day and fixes the moon and stars to shine by night. He is the one who sets the sea in motion so that its waves roar— Yahweh of hosts is his name.

36 यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो, “यी स्थायी थोकहरू मेरो दृष्‍टिबाट गायब भए भने मात्रै, इस्राएलका सन्तानहरू मेरो सामु सदा एउटा जाति हुनबाट खतम हुनेछ ।”

“Only if these permanent things vanish from my sight—this is Yahweh's declaration— will Israel's descendants ever stop from forever being a nation before me.”

37 परमप्रभु यसो भन्‍नुहुन्छ, “उच्‍चतम आकाशलाई नाप्न सकियो भने, अनि मुनि पृथ्वीको जगलाई पत्ता लगाउन सकियो भने मात्र, इस्राएलका सबै सन्तानले गरेका कुराको कारणले, म तिनीहरूलाई इन्कार गर्नेछु, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो ।”

Yahweh says this, “Only if the highest heavens can be measured, and only if the earth's foundation below can be discovered, will I reject all of Israel's descendants because of all that they have done—this is Yahweh's declaration.”

38 यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो, “हेर्, यस्‍ता दिनहरू आउँदैछन्‌, जुन बेला यो सहर हननेलको धरहरादेखि कुने-ढोकसम्मै पुनर्निर्माण गरिनेछ ।

“Look, the days are coming—this is Yahweh's declaration—when the city will be rebuilt for me, from the Tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate.

39 तब नाप्ने डोरी फेरि अझै टाढा गारेब डाँडासम्म अनि घुमेर गोआसम्म जानेछ ।

Then the measuring line will go out again farther, to the hill of Gareb and around Goah.

40 लाशहरू र खरानीको सारा उपत्यका अनि पूर्वतिर किद्रोन खोल्सासम्मका सबै खेत अश्‍व ढोकाको कुनासम्मको भाग परमप्रभुको निम्ति अलग गरिनेछ । त्यो सहर सदाको निम्‍ति फेरि कहिल्यै उखेलिने, वा भत्काइने छैन ।”

The whole valley of the dead bodies and the ashes, and all the terraced fields going out to the Kidron Valley as far as the corner of the Horse Gate on the east, will be set apart for Yahweh. The city will not be pulled up or overthrown again, forever.”
