यर्मिया 26
1 योशियाहका छोरा यहोयाकीमको शासनकालको सुरुमा परमप्रभुको यो वचन मकहाँ आयो,
In the beginning of the reign of Joakim the son of Josias king of Juda, came this word from the Lord, saying:
2 “परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छ, 'मेरो मन्दिरको चोकमा खडा हो र मेरो मन्दिरमा आराधना गर्ने आउने यहूदाका सबै सहरको बारेमा भन् । तिनीहरूलाई भन्न मैले तँलाई आज्ञा गरेका सबै वचन घोषणा गर् । एउटै शब्द पनि नछोड ।
Thus saith the Lord: Stand in the court of the house of the Lord, and speak to all the cities of Juda, out of which they come, to adore in the house of the Lord, all the words which I have commanded thee to to speak unto them: leave not out one word.
3 सयद तिनीहरूले सुन्नेछन्, अनि हरेक मानिस आफ्ना दुष्ट चालहरूबाट फर्कनेछन्, यसरी तिनीहरूका अभ्यासको दुष्टताको कारणले मैले तिनीहरूमाथि ल्याउने योजना गरेको विपत्ति ल्याउनबाट मैले आफ्नो मन म बद्लनेछु ।
If so be they will hearken and be converted every one from his evil way; that I may repent me of the evil that I think to do unto them for the wickedness of their doings.
4 त्यसैले तैंले तिनीहरूलाई यसो भन्नुपर्छ, 'परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छः मैले तिमीहरूको अगि राखिदिएको मेरो व्यवस्थाअनुसार हिंड्नलाई तिमीहरूले मेरो कुरा सुनेनौ भने,
And thou shalt say to them: Thus saith the Lord: If you will not hearken to me to walk in my law, which I have given to you:
5 मैले तिमीहरूकहाँ निरन्तर रूपमा पठाइरहेका मेरा दास, अगमवक्ताहरूका वचनहरू तिमीहरूले सुनेनौ भने, तर तिमीहरूले सुनेका छैनौ,
To give ear to the words of my servants the prophets, whom I sent to you rising up early: and sending, and you have not hearkened:
6 तब म यो मन्दिरलाई शीलोजस्तै बनाउनेछु । म यस सहरलाई पृथ्वीका सबै जातिको दृष्टिमा श्रापको पात्र बनाउनेछु' ।”
I will make this house like Silo: and I will make this city a curse to all the nations of the earth.
7 यर्मियाले परमप्रभुको मन्दिरमा यी वचन घोषणा गरेका पुजारीहरू, अगमवक्ताहरू र सबै मानिसले सुने ।
And the priests, and the prophets, and all the people heard Jeremias speaking these words in the house of the Lord.
8 त्यसैले जब परमप्रभुले यर्मियालाई भन्नू भनी आज्ञा गर्नुभएका वचन तिनले घोषणा गरेर सके, तब पुजारीहरू, अगमवक्ताहरू र सबै मानिसले तिनलाई समाते र भने, “तँ निश्चय नै मर्नेछस् ।
And when Jeremias made an end of speaking all that the Lord had commanded him to speak to all the people, the priests, and the prophets, and all the people laid hold on him, saying: Let him be put to death.
9 यो मन्दिर शीलोझैं हुनेछ र यो सहर बासिन्दारहित उजाड हुनेछ भनेर किन परमप्रभुको नाउँमा अगमवाणी गरिस्?” किनकि सबै मानिसले परमप्रभुको मन्दिरमा यर्मियाको विरुद्धमा भिड जम्मा गरेका थिए ।
Why hath he prophesied in the name of the Lord, saying: This house shall be like Silo; and this city shall be made desolate, without an inhabitant? And all the people were gathered together against Jeremias in the house of the Lord.
10 तब यहूदाका अधिकारीहरूले यो खबर सुने, र तिनीहरू राजाको महलदेखि परमप्रभुको मन्दिरमा गए । तिनीहरू परमप्रभुको मन्दिरको नयाँ मूल ढोकामा बसे ।
And the princes of Juda heard these words: and they went up from the king’s house into the house of the Lord, and sat in the entry of the new gate of the house of the Lord.
11 पुजारीहरू र अगमवक्ताहरूले अधिकारीहरू र सबै मानिससँग बोले । तिनीहरूले भने, “यो मानिसलाई मार्नु ठिक छ, किनकि यसले यो सहरको विरुद्धमा अगमवाणी बोलेका छ, जस्तो तपाईंहरूले आफ्नै कानले सुन्नुभएको छ ।”
And the priests and the prophets spoke to the princes, and to all the people, saying: The judgement of death is for this man: because he hath prophesied against this city, as you have heard with your ears.
12 त्यसैले यर्मियाले सबै अधिकारी र सबै मानिससँग बोले र भने, “तपाईंहरूले सुन्नुभएका यी वचन भन्न परमप्रभुले मलाई यो मन्दिर र यो सहरको विरुद्धमा अगमवाणी बोल्न पठाउनुभएको छ ।
Then Jeremias spoke to all the princes, and to all the people, saying: The Lord sent me to prophesy concerning this house, and concerning this city all the words you have heard.
13 त्यसैले अब, आ-आफ्ना चाल र अभ्यासहरू सुधार्नुहोस् र परमप्रभु तपाईंहरूका परमेश्वरको सोर सुन्नुहोस्, ताकि उहाँले तपाईंहरूको विरुद्धमा घोषणा गर्नुभएको विपत्तिको विषयमा उहाँले आफ्नो मन बद्लनुहुनेछ ।
Now therefore amend your ways, and your doings, and hearken to the voice of the Lord your God: and the Lord will repent of the evil that he hath spoken against you.
14 मेरो आफ्नै बारेमा, मलाई हेर्नुहोस्, म आफै तपाईंहरूकै हातमा छु । तपाईंहरूको दृष्टिमा जे ठिक र उचित लाग्छ, मलाई त्यही गर्नुहोस् ।
But as for me, behold I am in your hands: do with me what is good and right in your eyes:
15 तर तपाईंहरूले निश्चय नै जान्नुपर्छ, कि तपाईंहरूले मलाई मार्नुभयो भने, तब तपाईंहरूले निर्दोष रगतको दोष आफैमा, यो सहरमा र यहाँका बासिन्दाहरूमा ल्याउँदै हुनुहुन्छ, र किनकि तपाईंहरूले सुन्ने गरी यी वचन घोषणा गर्न साँच्चै नै परमप्रभुले मलाई तपाईंहरूकहाँ पठाउनुभएको हो ।”
But know ye, and understand, that if you put me to death, you will shed innocent blood against your own selves, and against this city, and the inhabitants thereof. For in truth the Lord sent me to you, to speak all these words in your hearing.
16 तब अधिकारीहरू र सबै मानिसले पुजारीहरू र अगमवक्ताहरूलाई भने, “यो मानिस मर्न लायक छैन, किनकि उसले परमप्रभु हाम्रा परमेश्वरको नाउँमा यी कुराहरूको घोषणा गरेको छ ।”
Then the princes, and all the people said to the priests, and to the prophets: There is no judgement of death for this man: for he hath spoken to us in the name of the Lord our God.
17 तब देशका धर्म-गुरुहरूका माझबाट मानिसहरू खडा भए, र सारा मानिसहरूको सभालाई भने,
And some of the ancients of the land rose up: and they spoke to all the assembly of the people, saying:
18 तिनीहरूले भने “मोरेशेतका मीकाले यहूदाका राजा हिजकियाको शासनकालमा अगमवाणी बोल्दै थिए । तिनले यहूदाका सबै मानिससँग बोले र भने, 'सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छः सियोन जोतिएको खेतझैं हुनेछ, यरूशलेमचाहिं गिटीको थुप्रो हुनेछ र मन्दिरको डाँडाचाहिं झाडीझैं हुनेछ ।'
Micheas of Morasthi was a prophet in the days of Ezechias king of Juda, and he spoke to all the people of Juda, saying: Thus saith the Lord of hosts: Sion shall be ploughed like a field, and Jerusalem shall be a heap of stones: and the mountain of the house the high places of woods.
19 के यहूदाका राजा हिजकिया र यहूदाका सारा मानिसले तिनलाई मारे त? के तिनले परमप्रभुको भय मान्ने काम गरे र परमप्रभुले तिनीहरूमाथि ल्याउने घोषणा गर्नुभएको विपत्ति ल्याउनबाट उहाँको मन बद्लने गरी के तिनले परमप्रभुको मुहारलाई शान्त पारेनन् र? यसरी हामी आफ्नै प्राणको विरुद्धमा अझै ठुलो दुष्ट काम गर्ने र?”
Did Ezechias king of Juda, and all Juda, condemn him to death? did they not fear the Lord, and beseech the face of the Lord: and the Lord repented of the evil that they had spoken against them? therefore we are doing a great evil against our souls.
20 त्यसै बेला त्यहाँ परमप्रभुको नाउँमा अगमवाणी बोल्ने अर्का मानिस, किर्यत-यारीमा बस्ने शमायाहका छोरा उरियाह पनि थिए । यर्मियाका वचनहरूसित सहमत हुने गरी तिनले पनि यस सहर र यस देशको विरुद्धमा अगमवाणी बोले ।
There was also a man that prophesied in the name of the Lord, Urias the son of Semei of Cariathiarim: and he prophesied against this city, and against this land, according to all the words of Jeremias.
21 तर जब राजा यहोयाकीम, तिनका सबै सिपाही र अधिकारीहरूले तिनको वचन सुने, तब राजाले तिनलाई मार्न खोजे, तर उरियाहले यो कुरा सुने र तिनी डराए । त्यसैले तिनी भागे र मिश्रमा गए ।
And Joakim, and all his men in power, and his princes heard these words: and the king sought to put him to death. And Urias heard it, and was afraid, and fled and went into Egypt.
22 तब राजा यहोयाकीमले मिश्रमा अक्बोरका छोरा एल्नातान र त्यसका साथमा केही मानिसहरू उरियाहको पछिपछि मिश्रमा पठाए ।
And king Joakim sent men into Egypt, Elnathan the son of Achobor, and men with him into Egypt.
23 तिनीहरूले उरियाहलाई मिश्रबाट ल्याए र तिनलाई राजा यहोयाकीमकहाँ ल्याए । तब यहोयाकीमले तिनलाई तरवारले मारे, र तिनको लाशलाई साधारण मानिसका लाशहरू भएको ठाउँमा पठाए ।
And they brought Urias out of Egypt: and brought him to king Joakim, and he slew him with the sword: and he cast his dead body into the graves of the common people.
24 तर शापानका छोरा अहीकामको हात यर्मियासित थियो । त्यसैले तिनलाई मारिनलाई मानिसहरूका हातमा दिइएन ।
So the hand of Ahicam the son of Saphan was with Jeremias, that he should not be delivered into the hands of the people, to put him to death.
