यर्मिया 11

1 परमप्रभुबाट यर्मियाकहाँ यसो भनेर वचन आयो,

This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD:

2 “यस करारका वचनहरूलाई सुन्, अनि यहूदाका हरेक मानिस र यरूशलेमका बासिन्दाहरूलाई ती घोषणा गर् ।

“Listen to the words of this covenant and tell them to the men of Judah and the residents of Jerusalem.

3 तिनीहरूलाई भन्, 'परमप्रभु इस्राएलका परमेश्‍वर यसो भन्‍नुहुन्छः यस करारका वचनहरू नसुन्‍ने जोसुकै श्रापित होस् ।

You must tell them that this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: Cursed is the man who does not obey the words of this covenant,

4 मैले तिमीहरूका पुर्खाहरूलाई मिश्रदेश अर्थात् फलाम पगाल्ने भट्टीबाट ल्याएको दिनमा यो करारको पालन गर्न आज्ञा दिएको थिएँ । मैले भनें, 'मेरो आवाजलाई सुन र मैले तिमीहरूलाई आज्ञा गरेका यी सबै कुरा पालन गर, किनकि तिमीहरू मेरो जाति हुनेछौ, र म तिमीहरूका परमेश्‍वर हुनेछु ।'

which I commanded your forefathers when I brought them out of the land of Egypt, out of the iron furnace, saying, ‘Obey Me, and do everything I command you, and you will be My people, and I will be your God.’

5 मेरो आज्ञा पालन गर ताकि दूध र मह बग्‍ने देश दिनेछु भनी मैले तिमीहरूका पुर्खाहरूसित खाएको शपथ म पुरा गर्न सक्‍छु ।' तब म यर्मियाले जवाफ दिएँ र भनें, 'हे, परमप्रभु हवस् ।'

This was in order to establish the oath I swore to your forefathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as it is to this day.” “Amen, LORD,” I answered.

6 परमप्रभुले मलाई भन्‍नुभयो, “यहूदाका सहरहरू र यरूशलेमका सडकहरूका यी सबै कुराको घोषणा गर् । यसो भन्, 'यस करारका वचनहरूलाई सुन र तिनलाई कार्यावन्यन गर ।

Then the LORD said to me, “Proclaim all these words in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying: Hear the words of this covenant and carry them out.

7 किनकि मैले तिमीहरूका पुर्खाहरूलाई मिश्रदेशबाट ल्याएको दिनदेखि वर्तमान समयसम्म निरन्तर रूपमा तिनीहरूलाई चेताउनी दिंदै र 'मेरो आवाज सुन,' भन्‍दै गम्भीर आज्ञाहरू दिंदै आएको छु ।

For from the time I brought your fathers out of the land of Egypt until today, I strongly warned them again and again, saying, ‘Obey My voice.’

8 तर तिनीहरूले सुनेनन्, वा ध्यानै दिएनन् । हरेक व्यक्ति आफ्नै दुष्‍ट हृदयको कठोरतामा हिंडिरहेको छ । त्यसैले यस करारमा मैले तिनीहरूलाई आज्ञा गरेका सबै श्राप मैले तिनीहरूका विरुद्धमा ल्याएँ । तर मानिसहरूले अझै पनि आज्ञा मानेनन् ।”

Yet they would not obey or incline their ears, but each one followed the stubbornness of his evil heart. So I brought on them all the curses of this covenant I had commanded them to follow but they did not keep.”

9 त्यसपछि परमप्रभुले मलाई भन्‍नुभयो, “यहूदाका मानिसहरू र यरूशलेमका बासिन्दाहरूका बिचमा भएको एउटा षड्यन्त्र पत्ता लागेको छ ।

And the LORD told me, “There is a conspiracy among the men of Judah and the residents of Jerusalem.

10 तिनीहरू आफ्‍ना पहिलेका पुर्खाहरूका अधर्मतर्फ लागेका छन् जसले मेरो वचन सुन्‍न इन्कार गरी अरू देवताहरूको पुजा गर्न तिनीहरूको पछि लागे । इस्राएलको घराना र यहूदाको घरानाले मैले तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूसित स्थापित गरेको मेरो करार तोडे ।

They have returned to the sins of their forefathers who refused to obey My words. They have followed other gods to serve them. The house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken the covenant I made with their fathers.

11 त्यसकारण परमप्रभु यसो भन्‍नुहुन्छ, 'हेर, मैले तिनीहरूमाथि यस्तो विपत्ति ल्याउनै लागेको छु, जुन विपत्तिबाट तिनीहरू भाग्‍न सक्‍ने छैनन् । तब तिनीहरूले मेरो पुकारा गर्नेछन्, तर म तिनीहरूको कुरा सुन्‍नेछैनँ ।

Therefore this is what the LORD says: ‘I am about to bring upon them a disaster that they cannot escape. They will cry out to Me, but I will not listen to them.

12 यहूदाका सहरहरू र यरूशलेमका बासिन्दाहरू जानेछन्, र तिनीहरूले भेटी चढाएका देवताहरूलाई पुकार्नेछन्, तर तिनीहरूको विपत्तिको समयमा निश्‍चय पनि तिनीहरू ती देवताहरूद्वारा बचाइनेछैनन् ।

Then the cities of Judah and the residents of Jerusalem will go and cry out to the gods to which they have been burning incense, but these gods certainly will not save them in their time of disaster.

13 किनकि तँ यहूदाले तेरा देवताहरूको सङ्ख्या वृद्धि गरेर तेरा सहरहरूको सङ्ख्या बराबर तुल्याएको छस् । तैंले यरूशलेममा त्यसका सडकहरूको सङ्ख्या जत्तिकै धेरै लज्‍जास्पद वेदीहरू, बाल देवताको निम्ति धुप बाल्ने वेदीहरू बनाएको छस् ।

Your gods are indeed as numerous as your cities, O Judah; the altars of shame you have set up—the altars to burn incense to Baal—are as many as the streets of Jerusalem.’

14 त्यसैले ए यर्मिया, तँ आफूले यी मानिसहरूको निम्ति प्रार्थना नचढा । तिनीहरूको पक्षमा तैंले विलाप वा बिन्ती गर्नहुँदैन । किनकि तिनीहरूले आफ्नो विपत्तिमा मलाई पुकारा गर्दा म तिनीहरूको पुकारा सुन्‍नेछैन्‍नँ ।

As for you, do not pray for these people. Do not raise up a cry or a prayer on their behalf, for I will not be listening when they call out to Me in their time of disaster.

15 मेरी प्रिय जससित धेरै दुष्‍ट मनसाय थिए, त्यो किन मेरो मन्दिरमा छे? तेरा बलिदानहरूको मासुले तँलाई मदत गर्न सक्दैन । तेरा दुष्‍ट कामहरूको कारणले तँ आनन्द मनाउँछस् ।

What right has My beloved in My house, having carried out so many evil schemes? Can consecrated meat avert your doom, so that you can rejoice?

16 विगतमा परमप्रभुले तँलाई झ्याम्म परेको जैतूनको रुख, रहरलाग्दो फल भएको सुन्दर रुख भन्‍नुभयो । तर उहाँले यसमा आगो सल्काउनुहुनेछ, जुन आँधीबेहरीको गर्जनजस्तो सुनिनेछ । यसका हाँगाहरू भँचिनेछन् ।

The LORD once called you a flourishing olive tree, beautiful with well-formed fruit. But with a mighty roar He will set it on fire, and its branches will be consumed.

17 इस्राएलको घराना र यहूदाको घरानाले गरेका दुष्‍ट कामहरूको कारणले तिमीहरूलाई रोप्नुहुने सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभुले तिमीहरूको विरुद्धमा विपत्तिको आदेश दिनुभएको छ— तिनीहरूले बाल देवतालाई भेटीहरू चढाएर मलाई रिस उठाएका छन् ।”

The LORD of Hosts, who planted you, has decreed disaster against you on account of the evil that the house of Israel and the house of Judah have brought upon themselves, provoking Me to anger by burning incense to Baal.”

18 परमप्रभुले मलाई यी कुराहरू अवगत गराउनुभयो, त्‍यसैले म यी जान्‍दछु । हे परमप्रभु, तपाईंले नै मलाई तिनीहरूका कामहरू देखाउनुभयो ।

And the LORD informed me, so I knew. Then You showed me their deeds.

19 म त कसाइकहाँ लगिंदै गरेको अवोध थुमाजस्तै थिएँ । तिनीहरूले मेरो विरुद्धमा यस्तो योजना रचेका थिए भनी मलाई थाहा थिएन, “रुखलाई त्‍यसको फलसमेत नष्‍ट पारौं । फेरि त्यसको नाउँ नै नसम्झने गरी त्यसलाई जीवितहरूको देशबाट निष्काशित गरौं ।”

For I was like a gentle lamb led to slaughter; I did not know that they had plotted against me: “Let us destroy the tree with its fruit; let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be remembered no more.”

20 तापनि सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु धार्मिक न्यायाधीश हुनुहुन्छ जसले हृदय र मनको जाँच गर्नहुन्छ । तिनीहरूको विरुद्धमा तपाईंको बदलाको म साक्षी बन्‍नेछु किनकि मैले मेरो विषय तपाईंको सामु पेस गरेको छु ।

O LORD of Hosts, who judges righteously, who examines the heart and mind, let me see Your vengeance upon them, for to You I have committed my cause.

21 त्यसकारण परमप्रभु तेरो प्राण लिन खोज्ने अनातोतका मानिसहरूको सम्बन्धमा यसो भन्‍नुहुन्छ, “तिनीहरू भन्छन्, 'तैंले परमप्रभुको नाउँमा अगमवाणी बोल्‍नुहँदैन, नत्रता तँ हाम्रा हातबाट मर्नेछस् ।'

Therefore this is what the LORD says concerning the people of Anathoth who are seeking your life and saying, “You must not prophesy in the name of the LORD, or you will die by our hand.”

22 त्यसकारण सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु यसो भन्‍नुहुन्छ, 'हेर, मैले तिनीहरूलाई दण्ड दिनै लागेको छु । तिनीहरूका हट्टाकट्टा युवाहरू तरवारले मारिनेछन् । तिनीहरूका छोराहरू र छोरीहरू अनिकालद्वारा मर्नेछन् ।

So this is what the LORD of Hosts says: “I will punish them. Their young men will die by the sword, their sons and daughters by famine.

23 तिनीहरूमध्‍ये कोही पनि छाडिनेछैन, किनकि म अनातोतका मानिसहरूको विरुद्धमा विपत्ति ल्याउँदैछु, जुन तिनीहरूको दण्डको वर्ष हुनेछ' ।”

There will be no remnant, for I will bring disaster on the people of Anathoth in the year of their punishment.”
