यशैया 7
1 उज्जियाहको नाति, योतामका छोरा यहूदाको राजा आहाजको समयमा, अरामका राजा रसीन, र इस्राएलका राजा रमल्याहका छोरा पेकह यरूशलेमको विरुद्धमा युद्ध गर्न माथि गए, तर तिनीहरू त्यसको विरुद्धमा विजयी हुन सकेनन् ।
And it came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up to Jerusalem to war against it; but could not prevail against it.
2 अरामले एफ्राइमसँग सन्धी गर्यो भनी दाऊदको घरानालाई बताइयो । तिनको हृदय काँप्यो, अनि तिनका मानिसहरूका हृदय जङ्गलका रुखहरू हावाले हल्लाएझैं काँप्यो ।
And it was told the house of David, saying, Syria is confederate with Ephraim. And his heart was moved, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the forest are moved with the wind.
3 तब परमप्रभुले यशैयालाई भन्नुभयो, “तेरो छोरा शार्यासूबलाई साथमा लिएर आहाजलाई भेट्न धोबीको खेत जाने बाटोमा माथिल्लो पोखरीको नहरको छेउमा जा ।
Then said the LORD unto Isaiah, Go forth now to meet Ahaz, thou, and Shear-jashub thy son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool, in the highway of the fuller’s field;
4 उसलाई भन्, 'होसियार होऊ, शान्त बस, नडराऊ, रेसीन र अराम अनि रमल्याहको छोरा पेकहको भयङ्कर रिसको बलिरहेको अगुल्टोद्वारा त्रसित नहोऊ ।
and say unto him, Take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither let thine heart be faint, because of these two tails of smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin and Syria, and of the son of Remaliah.
5 अराम, एफ्राइम र रमल्याहको छोराले तिम्रो विरुद्धमा खराब योजना गरेका छन् । तिनीहरूले भनेका छन्,
Because Syria hath counselled evil against thee, Ephraim [also], and the son of Remaliah, saying,
6 “हामी यहूदालाई आक्रमण गरौं र त्यसलाई त्रसित बनाऔं, र हामी त्यसभित्र पसौं र ताबेलका छोरालाई त्यहाँ हाम्रा राजा बनाऔं ।”
Let us go up against Judah, and vex it, and let us make a breach therein for us, and set up a king in the midst of it, even the son of Tabeel:
7 परमप्रभु परमेश्वर भन्नुहुन्छ, “त्यो कुरा हुन आउनेछैन । त्यस्तो हुनेछैन,
thus saith the Lord GOD, It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass.
8 किनभने अरामको मुख्यालय दमसकस हो र दमसकसको मुखिया रेसीन हो । पैंसट्ठी वर्षभित्र, एफ्राइम टुक्रा-टुक्रा हुनेछ र त्यसमा कोही मानिस हुनेछैन ।
For the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin: and within threescore and five years shall Ephraim be broken in pieces, that it be not a people:
9 एफ्राइमको मुख्यालय सामरिया हो र सामरियाको मुखिया रमल्याहको छोरा हो । तिमी विश्वासमा दृढ रहँदैनौ भने, निश्चय नै तिमी सुरक्षित हुनेछैनौ ।”
and the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah’s son. If ye will not believe, surely ye shall not be established.
10 परमप्रभुले फेरि आहाजसँग बोल्नुभयो,
And the LORD spake again unto Ahaz, saying,
11 “परमप्रभु आफ्ना परमश्वरसँग एउटा चिन्ह माग् । गहिराइमा भए पनि वा उच्चाइमा पनि यो माग् ।” (Sheol h7585)
Ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above. (Sheol h7585)
12 तर आहाजले भने, “म माग्नेछैन, न त म परमप्रभुको जाँच नै गर्नेछु ।”
But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt the LORD.
13 त्यसैले यशैयाले जवाफ दिए, “ए दाऊदका घराना, सुन । के तिमीहरूको निम्ति मानिसहरूका धेर्यको जाँच नै पर्याप्त हुँदैन र? के तिमीहरूले मेरो परमेश्वरको धैर्यको पनि जाँच गर्नुपर्छ र?
And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; is it a small thing for you to weary men, that ye will weary my God also?
14 यसकारण परमप्रभुले नै तिमीहरूलाई एउटा चिन्ह दिनुहुनेछः हेर, एज जना कन्या केटीले गर्भधारण गर्नेछिन्, एउटा छोरा जन्माउनेछिन् र उनको नाउँ इम्मानुएल राख्नेछिन् ।
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
15 जब उनले खराबलाई इन्कार गर्न र असललाई रोज्न जान्दछन्, तब उनले दही र मह खानेछन् ।
Butter and honey shall he eat, when he knoweth to refuse the evil, and choose the good.
16 किनकि बालकले खराबलाई इन्कार गर्न र असललाई रोज्न जान्नुअघि नै तिमी डराएका दुई जना राजाहरूका देश उजाड हुनेछन् ।
For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land whose two kings thou abhorrest shall be forsaken.
17 परमप्रभुले तिमी, तिम्रा मानिसहरू र तिम्रा बुबाको घरानामाथि एफ्राइम यहूदाबाट छुटेदेखि कहिल्यै नभएको कुरा ल्याउनुहुनेछ— उहाँले तिमीमाथि अश्शूरका राजा ल्याउनुहुनेछ ।”
The LORD shall bring upon thee, and upon thy people, and upon thy father’s house, days that have not come, from the day that Ephraim departed from Judah; [even] the king of Assyria.
18 त्यस बेला परमप्रभुले झींगालाई मिश्रदेशको खोलादेखि र मौरीलाई अश्शूरको देशदेखि सुसेलेर बोलाउनुहुनेछ ।
And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall hiss for the fly that is in the uttermost part of the rivers of Egypt, and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria.
19 तिनीहरू सबै आउनेछन् र घाँटीहरूमा, चट्टानको चिराहरूभित्र, सबै काँढाका झाङमाथि र सबै चरनहरूमा बस्नेछन् ।
And they shall come, and shall rest all of them in the desolate valleys, and in the holes of the rocks, and upon all thorns, and upon all pastures.
20 त्यस बेला परमप्रभुले युफ्रेटिस नदी पारि अश्शूरका राजाकोबाट भाडामा लिइएको छुराले, टाउकाहरू र खुट्टाहरूका रौं खौरनुहुनेछ । त्यसले दाह्रीलाई पनि सफा गर्नेछ ।
In that day shall the Lord shave with a razor that is hired, [which is] in the parts beyond the River, [even] with the king of Assyria, the head and the hair of the feet: and it shall also consume the beard.
21 त्यस दिन, एक जना मानिसले एउटा कोरली र दुई वटा भेडा पाल्नेछ,
And it shall come to pass in that day, that a man shall nourish a young cow, and two sheep;
22 र तिनीहरूले दिने दूधको प्रशस्तताको कारणले, उसले दही खानेछ, किनकि देशमा छोडिएका हरेकले दूध र मह खानेछन् ।
and it shall come to pass, for the abundance of milk that they shall give he shall eat butter: for butter and honey shall every one eat that is left in the midst of the land.
23 त्यस बेला, हजार बोट दाखको हजार शेकेल पर्ने जग्गामा, त्यहाँ सिउँडी र काँढा बाहेक केही हुनेछैन ।
And it shall come to pass in that day, that every place, where there were a thousand vines at a thousand silverlings, shall even be for briers and thorns.
24 मानिहरू त्यहाँ धनु लिएर शिकार गर्न जानेछन्, किनभने सबै देश नै सिउँडी र काँढा हुनेछन् ।
With arrows and with bow shall one come thither; because all the land shall be briers and thorns.
25 तिनीहरू सिउँडी र काँढाको डरले खनजोत गरी खेतीपाती गरिएका सबै डाँडाबाट टाढै रहनेछन् । तर यो गाईवस्तु र भेडाहरू चर्ने ठाउँ हुनेछ ।
And all the hills that were digged with the mattock; thou shalt not come thither for fear of briers and thorns, but it shall be for the sending forth of oxen, and for the treading of sheep.
