यशैया 63

1 उहाँ को हुनुहुन्‍छ जो एदोमबाट, बोज्राबाट रातो पहिरनमा आउनुहुन्‍छ? जो आफ्‍नो महान् सामर्थ्यको कारणले राजकीय पोशाकमा रवाफका साथ आउँदै हुनुहुन्‍छ? धार्मिकतामा बोल्ने र बचाउनलाई शक्तिशाली रूपमा सक्षम म नै हुँ?

Who is this that is come from Edom, [with] red garments from Bosor? thus fair in his apparel, with mighty strength? I speak of righteousness and saving judgement.

2 तपाईंका पोशाकहरू किन राता छन् र तपाईंले दाखको कोलमा दाख पेल्नुभएको जस्तो ती किन देखिन्‍छन्?

Therefore are your garments red, and your raiment as [if fresh] from a trodden winepress?

3 मैले दाखको कोलमा एक्‍लै दाख पेलेको छु, र जातिहरूबाट कोही पनि मसँग सहभागी भएनन् । मैले आफ्‍नो क्रोधमा तिनीहरूलाई पेलें र आफ्‍नो रिसमा तिनीहरूलाई कुल्चें । तिनीहरूका रगत मेरो लुगाहरूमा छ्यापिएका छन् र मेरा सबै लुगाहरूमा दाख लागेको छ ।

I am full of trodden [grape], and of the nations there is not a man with me; and I trampled them in my fury, and dashed them to pieces as earth, and brought down their blood to the earth.

4 किनकि मैले बदला लिने दिनको आशा गरें र मेरो उद्धारको वर्ष आइपुगेको थियो ।

For the day of recompence has come upon them, and the year of redemption is at hand.

5 मैले हेरें र सहायता गर्ने कोही एक जना पनि थिएन । सहयता गर्नलाई त्‍यहाँ कोही एक जना पनि नभएको देखेर म छक्‍क परें, तर मेरो आफ्नै हातले मेरो निम्‍ति विजय ल्‍यायो र मेरो कडा रिसले मलाई डोर्‍यायो ।

And I looked, and there was no helper; and I observed, and none upheld: therefore my arm delivered them, and mine anger drew near.

6 आफ्‍नो क्रोधमा मैले मानिसहरूलाई कुल्चें र तिनीहरूलाई मेरो क्रोधमा पिउन लगाएँ । अनि तिनीहरूका रगतलाई मैले पृथ्वीमा खन्याएँ ।

And I trampled them in mine anger, and brought down their blood to the earth.

7 परमप्रभुको करारको विश्‍वस्‍तताका कामहरू र परमप्रभुको प्रशंसायोग्य कामहरू म भन्‍नेछु । परमप्रभुले हाम्रा निम्‍ति गर्नुभएको सबै काम र इस्राएलको घरानाप्रति उहाँका महान् भलाइको बारेमा म भन्‍नेछु । उहाँको दया र करारको विश्‍वस्‍तताका धेरै वटा कामहरूका कारणले उहाँले यो दया हामीलाई देखाउनुभएको छ ।

I remembered the mercy of the Lord, the praises of the Lord in all things wherein he recompenses us. The Lord is a good judge to the house of Israel; he deals with us according to his mercy, and according to the abundance of his righteousness.

8 किनकि उहाँले भन्‍नुभयो, “निश्‍चय नै तिनीहरू मेरा मानिसहरू हुन्, छोराछोरी जो बेइमान छैनन् ।” उहाँ तिनीहरूका मुक्‍तिदाता हुनुभयो ।

And he said, Is it not my people? the children surely will not be rebellious: and he became to them deliverance

9 तिनीहरूका सबै कष्‍टहरूद्वारा उहाँले पनि कष्‍ट भोग्‍नुभयो, र उहाँको उपस्थितिको स्वर्गदूतले तिनीहरूलाई बचायो । आफ्‍नो प्रेम र दयामा उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई बचाउनुभयो र उहाँले तिनिहरूलाई माथि उठाउनुभयो र सारा प्राचीन समयभरि तिनीहरूलाई बोक्‍नुभयो ।

out of all their affliction: not an ambassador, nor a messenger, but himself saved them, because he loved them and spared them: he himself redeemed them, and took them up, and lifted them up all the days of old.

10 तर तिनीहरूले विद्रोह गरे र पवित्र आत्मालाई दुःखी तुल्याए । यसरी उहाँ तिनीहरूका शत्रु हुनुभयो र तिनीहरूका विरुद्धमा युद्ध गर्नुभयो ।

But they disobeyed, and provoked his Holy Spirit: so he turned to be an enemy, he himself contended against them.

11 उहाँका मानिसहरूले मोशाको प्राचीन समयको बारेमा विचार गरे । तिनीहरूले भने, “परमेश्‍वर कहाँ हुनुहुन्छ जसले आफ्‍ना बथानका गोठालाहरूसँगै तिनीहरूलाई समुद्रबाट ल्याउनुभयो? परमेश्‍वर कहाँ हुनुहुन्छ जसले आफ्‍नो पवित्र आत्मा तिनीहरूका बिचमा राख्‍नुभयो?

Then he remembered the ancient days, [saying], Where is he that brought up from the sea the shepherd of the sheep? where is he that put his Holy Spirit in them?

12 परमेश्‍वर कहाँ हुनुहुन्छ जसले मोशाको दाहिने हातसँगै आफ्‍नो महिमित शक्ति जान दिनुभयो र आफ्‍नो निम्ति अनन्तको नाउँ बनाउन तिनीहरूका सामु भएको पानीलाई विभाजन गर्नुभयो?

who led Moses with his right hand, the arm of his glory? he forced the water [to separate] from before him, to make himself an everlasting name.

13 परमेश्‍वर कहाँ हुनुहुन्छ जसले तिनीहरूलाई गहिरो पानीबाट डोर्‍याउनुभयो? मैदानमा घोडा दौडेझैं, तिनीहरूले ठेस खाएनन् ।

He led them through the deep, as a horse through the wilderness, and they fainted not,

14 गाइवस्तु बेसीमा झरेझैं, परमप्रभुको आत्माले तिनीहरूलाई विश्राम दिनुभयो । यसरी आफ्‍नो निम्‍ति प्रशंसाको नाउँ बनाउनलाई तपाईंले आफ्‍ना मानिसहरूलाई डोर्‍याउनुभयो?

and as cattle through a plain: the Spirit came down from the Lord, and guided them: thus you led your people, to make yourself a glorious name.

15 स्वर्गबाट तल हेर्नुहोस् र आफ्‍नो पवित्र र महिमित वासस्थानबाट दृष्‍टि लगाउनुहोस् । तपाईंको जोश र तपाईंको शक्तिशाली कामहरू कहाँ छन्? तपाईंको दया र तपाईंको कृपापुर्ण कामहरू हामीबाट अलग राखिएका छन् ।

Turn from heaven, and look from your holy habitation and [from] your glory: where is your zeal and your strength? where is the abundance of your mercy and of your compassions, that you have withholden yourself from us?

16 किनकि तपाईं हाम्रा पिता हुनुहुन्छ । अब्राहामले हामीलाई नचिने र इस्राएलले हामीलाई नचिने तापनि, तपाईं परमप्रभु हाम्रो पिता हुनुहुन्छ । प्राचीन समयदेखि तपाईंको नाउँ 'हाम्रा उद्धारक' हो ।

For you are our Father; for [though] Abraham knew us not, and Israel did not acknowledge us, yet do you, O Lord, our Father, deliver us: your name has been upon us from the beginning.

17 हे परमप्रभु, हामीलाई किन तपाईंको मार्गहरूबाट तर्कने र हाम्रा हृदयहरूलाई कठोर पार्ने बनाउनुहुन्छ, यसैले हामीले तपाईंका आज्ञा पालन गर्दैनौं? तपाईंको सेवक, तपाईंको उत्तराधिकारका कुलहरूका निम्‍ति फर्कनुहोस् ।

Why have you caused us to err, O Lord, from your way? [and] has hardened our hearts, that we should not fear you? Return for your servants' sake, for the sake of the tribes of your inheritance,

18 तपाईंका मानिसहरूले तपाईंको पवित्र ठाउँलाई छोटो समय अधिकार गरे, तर हाम्रा शत्रुहरूले त्‍यसलाई कुल्चे ।

that we may inherit a small part of your holy mountain.

19 हामी त तपाईंले हामीमाथि कहिल्यै शासन नगर्नुभएजस्तो र तपाईंको नाउँद्वारा कहिल्यै नबोलाइएजस्तै भएका छौं।”

We are become as at the beginning, when you did not rule over us, and your name was not called upon us.
