यशैया 5
1 मेरो असल प्रियको निम्ति मलाई गाउन, मेरो प्रियको दाखबारीको बारेमा एउटा गीत गाउन दिनुहोस् ।
Let me sing now a song respecting my friend, A song respecting my friend touching his vineyard. My friend had a vineyard On a very fruitful hill;
2 उनले यो खने, ढुङ्गाहरू हटाए र त्यसमा उत्तम जातको दाख रोपे । उनले त्यसको बिचमा एउटा धरहरा बनाए र एउटा दाखको कोल पनि बनाए । उनले दाख उत्पादन गर्ने समयसम्म पर्खे, तर त्यसले जङ्गली दाख मात्र फलायो ।
He digged it, and cleared it of stones, And planted it with the choicest vine, And built a tower in the midst of it, And hewed out a wine-press therein; Then he looked that it should bring forth its grapes, But it brought forth sour grapes.
3 त्यसैले अब ए यरूशलेमका बासिन्दाहरू र यहूदाका मानिस हो, म र मेरो दाखबारीको बिचमा न्याय गर ।
And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, Judge ye between me and my vineyard!
4 मेरो दाखबारीको निम्ति मैले नगरेको त्यस्तो के कुरा त्यसको निम्ति गर्न सकिन्थ्यो? त्यसले दाख फलाओस् भन्ने मेरो आशा हुँदा, त्यसले किन जङ्गली दाखहरू फलायो?
What could have been done for my vineyard That I have not done for it? Why, then, when I looked that it should bring forth its grapes, Brought it forth sour grapes?
5 अब म आफ्नो दाखबारीलाई के गर्नेछु सो म तिमीहरूलाई भन्नेछु, म त्यसलाई चरनमा बदल्नेछु, त्यसको पर्खला म भत्काउनेछु र त्यसलाई कुल्चीमिल्ची गरिनेछ ।
But come now, and I will tell you What I mean to do with my vineyard. I will take away its hedge, and it shall be eaten up; I will break down its wall, and it shall be trodden down!
6 म त्यसलाई बरबाद गर्नेछु र यसलाई छाँटकाँट वा खनजोत गरिनेछैन । बरु, यसमा काँढा र सिउँडीहरू उम्रिनेछन् । त्यसमाथि वर्ष नहोस् भनी म बादललाई आज्ञा पनि दिनेछु ।
And I will make it a waste; It shall not be pruned, nor digged, But shall grow up into thorns and briers; I will also command the clouds That they shed no rain upon it.
7 किनकि सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभुको दाखबारी इस्राएलको घराना, र यहूदाका मानिसचाहिं आनन्दको बगैंचा हो । न्यायको निम्ति उहाँ पर्खनुभयो, तर त्यसको साटोमा त्यहाँ हत्या भयो । धार्मिकताको खोज्नुभयो तर त्यसको साटोमा सहायताको निम्ति चित्कार आयो ।
The vineyard of Jehovah of hosts is the house of Israel, And the men of Judah the plant of his delight. He looked for justice, and behold, bloodshed! For righteousness, and behold, outcry!
8 ठाउँ नै नरहने गरी घरसित घर जोड्ने र खेतसित खेत जोड्नेहरूलाई धिक्कार, र तिमीहरू मात्र देशमा रहन्छौ!
Woe to them that join house to house, That add field to field, Till there is no place left, And they dwell alone in the land.
9 सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभुले मलाई भन्नुभयो, धेरै वटा घर, ठुला र भव्य महलसमेत रित्ता हुनेछन्, त्यसमा बस्ने कोही हुनेछैन् ।
To mine ear hath Jehovah of hosts revealed it: Surely many houses shall become a desolation, The great and the fair ones, without an inhabitant.
10 किनकि दस हलको दाखबारीले पाँच पाथी दाख र पचास पाथी बीउले पाँच पाथी अन्न मात्र उब्जाउनेछ ।
Yea, ten acres of vineyard shall yield a single bath of wine, And a homer of seed shall produce but an ephah.
11 कडा मद्य पिउनलाई बिहान सबेरै उठ्नेहरू, मद्यले तिनीहरूलाई चूर नबनाएसम्म राती अबेरसम्म बस्नेहरूलाई धिक्कार ।
Woe to them that rise early in the morning to follow strong drink, —Who sit late in the night that wine may inflame them!
12 तिनीहरू वीणा, सारङ्गी, बाँसुरी र मद्यसित भोज खान्छन्, तर तिनीहरूले परमप्रभुको कामको चिन्दैनन्, न त तिनीहरूले उहाँका हातका कामहरूलाई नै विचार गरेका छन् ।
And the lyre and the harp, the tabret and the pipe, and wine, are at their feasts, But they regard not the work of Jehovah, Nor attend to the operation of his hands.
13 यसकारण सुझबुझको कमीला गर्दा मेरा मानिसहरू निर्वासनमा गएका छन् । तिनीहरूका आदरणिय अगुवाहरू भोक-भोकै हुन्छन् र तिनीहरूका साधारण मानिससँग पिउनलाई कुनै कुरा छैन ।
Therefore shall my people be led captive, when they think not of it; Their honorable men shall be famished with hunger, And their rich men parched with thirst.
14 यसकारण चिहानले आफ्नो भोकलाई ठुलो पारेको छ र त्यसले आफ्नो मुखलाई चौडा पारेको छ । तिनीहरूका कुलीनहरू, मानिसहरू, हल्ले गर्नेहरू र तिनीहरू माझका खुसी हुनेहरू चिहानमा जान्छन् । (Sheol h7585)
Therefore doth the under-world enlarge its greedy throat, And stretch open its mouth without measure, And down go her nobility and her wealth, Her busy throng, and all that was joyful within her. (Sheol h7585)
15 मानिसलाई निहुरिन बाध्य बनाइनेछ र मानवजाति नम्र तुल्याइनेछ । घमण्डीका आँखालाई झुकाइनेछन् ।
The mean man shall be bowed down, And the great man shall be brought low, And the eyes of the haughty shall be humbled;
16 सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु आफ्नो न्यायमा उच्च पारिनुहुनेछ र परमपवित्र परमेश्वरले आफ्नो धर्मिकताद्वारा आफूलाई पवित्र प्रकट गर्नुहुनेछ ।
Jehovah of hosts shall be exalted through judgment; Yea, God, the Holy One, shall be sanctified through righteousness.
17 तब भेडाहरू तिनीहरूका आफ्नै चरणमा झैं चर्नेछन् र भग्नावशेषमा थुमाहरू परदेशीझैं चर्नेछन् ।
Then shall the lambs feed, as in their own pasture, And the deserted fields of the rich shall strangers consume.
18 धिक्कार तिनीहरूलाई जसले अधर्मलाई व्यर्थका डोरीले तान्छन् र पापलाई गाडाको डोरीले झैं तान्छन् ।
Woe to them that draw calamity with cords of wickedness, And punishment as with wagon-traces, —
19 धिक्कार तिनीहरूलाई, जसले भन्छन्, “परमेश्वरले हतार गर्नुभएको होस्, उहाँले चाँडै काम गर्नुभएको होस्, यसैले कि हामी यसो भएको देख्न सक्छौं । र इस्राएलको परमपवरित्रको योजना पुरा होस् ताकि हामीले ती थाहा पाउनेछौं ।”
Who say, Let him make speed, let him hasten his work that we may see it! Let the purpose of the Holy One of Israel draw near and be fulfilled, that we may know it!
20 धिक्कार तिनीहरूलाई जसले खराबलाई असल र असललाई खराब भन्छन् । जसले ज्योतिलाई अँध्यारो र अँध्यारोलाई ज्योतिको रूपमा लिन्छन् । अनि तीतोलाई गुलियो र गुलियोलाई तीतोको रूपमा लिन्छन् ।
Woe to them that call evil good, and good evil, That put darkness for light, and light for darkness, That put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
21 धिक्कार तिनीहरूलाई जो आफ्नै आँखामा बुद्धिमान र आफ्नै समझमा चतुर छन्!
Woe to them that are wise in their own eyes, And prudent in their own conceit!
22 धिक्कार तिनीहरूलाई जो दाकमद्य पिउनलाई सिपालु र कडा मद्यहरू मिसाउनमा कुसल छन् ।
Woe to them that are valiant to drink wine, And men of might to mingle strong drink!
23 जसले घुस लिएर दुष्टलाई छोडिदिन्छ र निर्दोषलाई उसको अधिकार हनन् गर्छ!
That clear the guilty for a reward, And take away from the righteous his right!
24 यसकारण जसरी आगोको ज्वालाले झिंजामिंजालाई जलाउँछ र जसरी सुकेको घाँस आगोमा भष्म हुन्छ, त्यसरी नै तिनीहरूका जरा सड्नेछ र तिनीहरूका फूल धूलोझैं उड्नेछ । सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभुको व्यावस्थालाई तिनीहरूले इन्कार गरेका हुनाले यसो हुनेछ, अनि इस्राएलका परमपवित्रको वचनलाई तिनीहरूले घृणा गरेका हुनाले यस्तो हुनेछ ।
Therefore, as fire devours stubble, And as the withered grass sinks into the flame, So their root shall become rottenness, And their blossom shall fly up like dust. For they have despised the law of Jehovah of hosts, And contemned the word of the Holy One of Israel.
25 यसकारण परमप्रभुको रिस उहाँका मानिसहरूका विरुद्ध दन्किएको छ । उहाँले आफ्नो हात तिनीहरूका विरुद्धमा पसार्नुभएको छ र तिनीहरूलाई दण्ड दिनुभएको छ । पहडाहरू काँप्छन् र तिनीहरूका लाशहरू गल्लीहरूमा फोहोर झैं छन् । यी सबै कुरामा उहाँको रिस मर्दैन । बरु, उहाँको हात अझै पसारिएको छ ।
Therefore is the anger of Jehovah kindled against his people; He stretcheth forth his hand against them, and smiteth them, so that the mountains tremble, And their carcasses are as dung in the midst of the streets; For all this his anger is not turned away, But his hand is stretched out still.
26 उहाँले टाढाका जातिहरूका निम्ति चिन्हको झण्डा उठाउनुहुनेछ र पृथ्वीको अन्तमा भएकाहरूलाई सुसेलेर बोलाउनुहुनेछ । हेर, तिनीहरू द्रूत गतिमा र तुरुन्तै आउनेछन् ।
He lifteth up a banner for the nations afar off, He whistleth for them from the ends of the earth, And behold, they haste, and come swiftly.
27 तिनीहरूका माझमा कोही पनि थाक्नेछन् न त ठेस खानेछैन् । कोही पनि निदाउनेछैन न त उँघ्नेछन् । न त तिनीहरूका पेटीहरू खुकुला हुनेछन्, न त तिनीहरूका जुत्ताका फिताहरू नै खुकुला हुनेछन् ।
None among them is weary, and none stumbleth; None slumbereth nor sleepeth; The girdle of their loins is not loosed, Nor the latchet of their shoes broken.
28 तिनीहरूका काँडहरू तीखा छन् र तिनीहरूका सबै धनुहरूमा ताँदो चढाइएका छन् । तिनीहरूका घोडाहरूका खुर चकमक ढुङ्गाहरूजस्ता छन् र तिनीहरूका रथहरूका पाङ्ग्राहरू आँधिजस्ता छन् ।
Their arrows are sharp, And all their bows bent; The hoofs of their horses are like flint, And their wheels like a whirlwind.
29 तिनीहरूका गर्जन सिंहको जस्तो हुनेछ । जवान सिंहहरूझैं तिनीहरू गर्जनेछन् । तिनीहरू गर्जन्छन् र शिकार समात्नेछन् र छुटाउने कोही नभई त्यो घिसारेर लैजान्छन् ।
Their roaring is like the roaring of the lion; They roar like young lions; They roar, and seize the prey; They bear it away, and none can rescue it.
30 त्यस दिन शिकारको विरुद्धमा तिनीहरू समुद्र गर्जेझैं गर्जनेछन् । कसैले देशलाई हेर्छ भने, उसले अन्धकार र कष्ट देख्नेछ । प्रकाशलाई पनि बादलले अँध्यारो पार्नेछ ।
Yea, in that day shall they roar against them like the roaring of the sea; And if one look to the land, behold darkness and sorrow, And the light is darkened by its clouds.
