यशैया 49
1 ए समुद्र किनारमा बस्नेहरू हो, मेरो कुरा सुन! ए टाढाका मानिसहरू हो, मेरो कुरामा ध्यान देओ । मेरो आमाले मलाई संसारमा ल्याउनुहुँदा नै परमप्रभुले मलाई मेरो नाउँ काढेर बोलाउनुभएको छ ।
Hear yee me, O yles, and hearken, yee people from farre. The Lord hath called me from the wombe, and made mention of my name from my mothers bellie.
2 उहाँले मेरो मुखलाई धारिलो तरवारजस्तो बनाउनुभएको छ । उहाँले मलाई आफ्नो हातको छायामा लुकाउनुभएको छ । उहाँले मलाई टल्काएको काँड बनाउनुभएको छ । उहाँले मलाई आफ्नो ठोक्रोमा लुकाउनुभएको छ ।
And hee hath made my mouth like a sharpe sworde: vnder the shadowe of his hande hath he hid mee, and made me a chosen shafte, and hid me in his quiuer,
3 उहाँले मलाई भन्नुभयो, “ए इस्राएल, तँ मेरो सेवक होस्, जसद्वारा म आफ्नो महिमा देखाउँछु ।”
And sayd vnto me, Thou art my seruaunt, Israel, for I will be glorious in thee.
4 तर मैले जवाफ दिएँ, “मैले व्यार्थमा परिश्रम गरेको छु, मैले बेकाममा मेरो शक्ति खर्च गरेको छु भनी सोचें, तापनि मेरो न्याय परमप्रभुसित नै छ र मेरो इनाम मेरो परमेश्वरसँग छ ।”
And I said, I haue labored in vaine: I haue spent my strength in vaine and for nothing: but my iudgement is with the Lord, and my woorke with my God.
5 अब परमप्रभु बोल्नुभएको छ—उहाँ नै हुनुहुन्छ जसले उहाँको सेवक हुन, याकूबलाई उहाँमा पुनर्स्थापन गर्न मलाई जन्मैदेखि बनाउनुभयो, ताकि इस्राएललाई उहाँमा जम्मा गर्न सकियोस्, किनकि परमप्रभुको दृष्टिमा मेरो इज्जत भएको छ र मेरो परमेश्वर नै मेरो बल हुनुभएको छ—
And now sayeth the Lord, that formed me from the wombe to be his seruaunt, that I may bring Iaakob againe to him (though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I bee glorious in the eyes of the Lord: and my God shall be my strength)
6 अनि उहाँ भन्नुहुन्छ, “याकूबको कुललाई पुनःस्थापित गर्न र इस्राएलका बचेकाहरूलाई पुनर्स्थापन गर्न मेरो सेवक हुनु तेरो निम्ति अति सानो कुरा हो । म तँलाई अरू जातिहरूका निम्ति ज्योति बनाउनेछु, ताकि पृथ्वीको अन्तिम छेउसम्म तँ नै मेरो उद्धार हुन सक्छस् ।”
And hee sayde, It is a small thing that thou shouldest be my seruaunt, to raise vp the tribes of Iaakob, and to restore the desolations of Israel: I will also giue thee for a light of the Gentiles, that thou maiest bee my saluation vnto the ende of the worlde.
7 जातिहरूले तुच्छ ठानेका, घृणा गरेका र शासकहरूका सेवकलाई इस्राएलको उद्धारक, तिनीहरूका परमपवित्र परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छ, “विश्वासयोग्य परमप्रभु, इस्राएलका परमपवित्रले तँलाई चुन्नुभएको हुनाले राजाहरूले तँलाई देख्नेछन् र खडा हुनेछन्, अनि राजकुमारहरूले तँलाई देख्नेछन् र घोप्टो पर्नेछन् ।”
Thus sayeth the Lord the redeemer of Israel, and his Holie one, to him that is despised in soule, to a nation that is abhorred, to a seruaunt of rulers, Kinges shall see, and arise, and princes shall worship, because of the Lord, that is faithfull: and ye Holy one of Israel, which hath chosen thee.
8 परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छ, “मैले आफ्नो कृपा देखाउन निश्चित गरेको समयमा म तँलाई जवाफ दिनेछु, अनि उद्धारको दिनमा म तँलाई सहायता गर्नेछु । म तेरो सुरक्षा गर्नेछु र देशको पुनःनिर्माण गर्न र उजाड जमिनमा फेरि बस्ती बसाल्न तँलाई मानिसहरूका करारको रूपमा दिनेछु ।
Thus sayeth the Lord, In an acceptable time haue I heard thee, and in a day of saluation haue I helped thee: and I will preserue thee, and wil giue thee for a couenant of ye people, that thou maiest raise vp the earth, and obtaine the inheritance of the desolate heritages:
9 तैंले कैदीहरूलाई, 'बाहिर आओ,' अँध्यारो कालकोठरीमा हुनेहरूलाई, 'आफूलाई देखाओ' भन्नेछस् । तिनीहरू सडकहरूको छेउतिर चर्नेछन् र सबै उजाड पाखाहरू तिनीहरूका खर्क हुनेछ ।
That thou maiest say to the prisoners, Goe foorth: and to them that are in darkenesse, Shewe your selues: they shall feede in the waies, and their pastures shall bee in all the toppes of the hilles.
10 तिनीहरू तिर्काउने वा भोकाउने छैनन् । न तापले न घामले तिनीहरूलाई पोल्नेछ, किनकि जसले तिनीहरूलाई दया गर्नुहुन्छ, उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई डोर्याउनुहुनेछ । उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई पानीको मुहानहरूतिर लानुहुनेछ ।
They shall not be hungrie, neither shall they be thirstie, neither shall the heat smite them, nor the sunne: for he that hath compassion on them, shall leade them: euen to the springs of waters shall he driue them.
11 तब आफ्ना सबै पर्वतलाई सडक र मेरा मुल बाटोहरूलाई समतल बनाउने छु ।”
And I will make all my mountaines, as a way, and my paths shalbe exalted.
12 हेर, यिनीहरू टाढाबाट, कोही उत्तर र पश्चिमबाट आउनेछन् । अनि अरूचाहिं आश्वासनको देशबाट आउनेछन् ।
Beholde, these shall come from farre: and loe, these from the North and from the West, and these from the land of Sinim.
13 ए आकाश गाओ र ए पृथ्वी आनन्दि होओ । ए पर्वतहरू, गीत गाओ! किनकि परमप्रभुले आफ्ना मानिसहरूलाई सान्त्वना दिनुहुन्छ र उहाँका कष्ठमा परेकाहरूलाई दया गर्नुहुनेछ ।
Reioyce, O heauens: and bee ioyfull, O earth: brast foorth into praise, O mountaines: for God hath comforted his people, and will haue mercie vpon his afflicted.
14 तर सियोनले भन्यो, “परमप्रभुले मलाई त्यग्नुभएको छ, र परमप्रभुले मलाई बिर्सनुभएको छ ।”
But Zion saide, The Lord hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me.
15 “के स्त्रीले आफ्नो दूध खुवाइरहेको बालकलाई बिर्सन सक्छे, अनि तिनले जन्माएकी बलकलाई दया देखाउँदिनन् र? हो, तिनीहरूले बिर्सन सक्छन्, तर तँलाई म बिर्सनेछैन ।
Can a woman forget her childe, and not haue compassion on the sonne of her wombe? though they should forget, yet wil I not forget thee.
16 हेर, मैले तेरो नाउँ आफ्नो हत्केलामा खोपेको छु । तेरा पर्खालहरू निरन्तर मेरो सामु छन् ।
Behold, I haue grauen thee vpon the palme of mine hands: thy walles are euer in my sight.
17 तेरा छोराछोरी फर्कन हतारिंदैछन्, जबकि तिमीहरूलाई विनाश पार्नेहरू टाढा जाँदैछन् ।
Thy builders make haste: thy destroiers and they that made thee waste, are departed from thee.
18 वरिपरि हेर र देख्, तिनीहरू भेला हुँदैछन् र तँकहाँ आउँदैछन् । जस्तो म जीवित छु— यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो— तैंले तिनीहरूलाई गहनाझैं लगाउनेछस् र तैंले तिनीहरूलाई दुलहीले झैं लगाउनेछस् ।
Lift vp thine eies round about and behold: all these gather themselues together and come to thee: as I liue, sayeth the Lord, thou shalt surely put them all vpon thee as a garment, and girde thy selfe with them like a bride.
19 तँ उजाड र निर्जन, भग्नावशेषको देश भए पनि अब बासिन्दाहरूका निम्ति तँ अति सानो हुनेछस् र तँलाई नाश पार्नेहरू टाढा हुनेछन् ।
For thy desolations, and thy waste places, and thy land destroied, shall surely be now narow for them that shall dwell in it, and they that did deuoure thee, shalbe farre away.
20 शोकको अवधिमा जन्मेका छोराछोरीले तैंले सुन्ने गरी भन्नेछन्, 'यो ठाउँ हाम्रा निम्ति साँगुरो हुन्छ, ठाउँ तयार पार, ताकि हामी बस्न सकौं ।'
The children of thy barennesse shall say againe in thine eares, The place is straict for mee: giue place to me that I may dwell.
21 तब तैंले आफैलाई सोध्नेछस्, ' मेरो निम्ति यी छोराछोरी कसले जन्माएको हो? म शोकमा र बाँझी, निर्वासित र त्यागिएकी थिएँ । यी छोराछोरीलाई कसले हुर्कायो? हेर, मलाई एक्लै छोडिएको थियो । यिनीहरू कहाँबाट आए?’”
Then shalt thou say in thine heart, Who hath begotten mee these, seeing I am baren and desolate, a captiue and a wanderer to and from? and who hath nourished them? beholde, I was left alone: whence are these?
22 परमप्रभु परमेश्वरले यसो भन्नुहुन्छ, “हेर्, जातिहरूतिर म आफ्नो हात उठाउनेछु । मानिसहरूतिर म आफ्नो संकेतको झन्डा उठाउनेछु । तिनीहरूले तेरा छोराहरूलाई आफ्ना हातमा र तेरी छोरीहरूलाई आफ्ना काँधमा बोकेर ल्याउनेछन् ।
Thus sayeth the Lord God, Beholde, I will lift vp mine hande to the Gentiles and set vp my stadart to the people, and they shall bring thy sonnes in their armes: and thy daughters shall be caried vpon their shoulders.
23 राजहरू तेरा धर्म-बुबाहरू र रानीहरू तेरा धाइ-आमाहरू हुनेछन् । तिनीहरूले आफ्ना मुहार भुइँमा घोप्टो पारेर तँलाई दण्डवत गर्नेछन् र तेरा खुट्टाका धूलो चाट्नेछन् । अनि म परमप्रभु हुँ भनी तैंले जान्नेछस् । मेरो आशा गर्नेहरू लज्जित हुनेछैनन् ।”
And Kings shalbe thy nourcing fathers, and Queenes shalbe thy nources: they shall worship thee with their faces towarde the earth, and licke vp the dust of thy feete: and thou shalt knowe that I am the Lord: for they shall not be ashamed that waite for me.
24 के योद्धाहरूबाट लूटको माल लिन सकिन्छ, वा क्रूरबाट कैदीहरूलाई छुट्टाउन सकिन्छ?
Shall the pray be taken from the mightie? or the iust captiuitie deliuered?
25 तर परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छ, “हो, योद्धाहरूबाट कैदीहरूलाई खोसिनेछ र लूटका मालहरू छुट्टाइनेछ । किनकि तेरो विरोधीलाई म विरोध गर्नेछु र तेरा छोराछोरीलाई बचाउनेछु ।
But thus sayeth the Lord, euen the captiuitie of the mightie shall be taken away: and the pray of the tyrant shall be deliuered: for I wil contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will saue thy children,
26 तेरा अत्याचारीहरूलाई तिनीहरूका आफ्नै मासु खुवाउनेछु । अनि तिनीहरू आफ्नै रगले दाखमद्यले झैं मात्नेछन् । तब म परमप्रभु, तेरो मुक्तिदाता र तेरा उद्धारक, याकूबको शक्तिशाली परमेश्वर हुँ भनी सारा मानवजातिले जान्नेछन् ।”
And will feede them that spoile thee, with their owne flesh, and they shall be drunken with their owne bloode, as with sweete wine: and all flesh shall know that I the Lord am thy sauiour and thy redeemer, the mighty one of Iaakob.
