यशैया 34
1 ए जातिहरू, नजिक आओ र सुन । ए मानिसहरू, ध्यान देओ । पृथ्वी र त्यसलाई भर्ने सबैले, संसार र त्यसबाट आएका सबै थोकले सुन्नुपर्छ ।
Come near ye nations to hear, And, ye races, attend, —Let the earth hear, and the fulness thereof, The world and all things produced therefrom:
2 किनकि परमप्रभु सबै जातिसँग सबै जातिहरूसँग रिसाउनुभएको छ र तिनीहरूका सबै फौज विरुद्ध क्रोधित हुनुहुन्छ । उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई पुर्ण रूपमा विनाश पार्नुभएको छ, उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई संहारको निम्ति सम्पनुभएको छ ।
That Yahweh hath wrath against all the nations, and indignation against all their host, —He hath devoted them to destruction He hath delivered them to slaughter;
3 तिनीहरूका मृतकहरूका लाशहरू बाहिर फालिनेछन् । लाशहरूको दुर्गन्ध जताततै हुनेछ । अनि पर्वतहरूले तिनीहरूका रगत सोस्नेछ ।
And their slain shall be cast out, And their carcases, the stench of them shall ascend, —And, the mountains, shall melt away with their blood.
4 आकाशका सबै ताराहरू विलीन हुनेछन् र आकाशचाहिं एउटा चर्मपत्रको मुट्ठाझैं बेह्रिनेछ । अनि दाखको पात झरेर ओइलाएझैं र अञ्जिरका गलेका अञ्जिर खसेझैं तिनीहरूका सबै ताराहरू विलीन हुनेछन् ।
Then shall be dissolved all the host of the heavens, And the heavens shall roll up as a scroll, —Yea, all their host, shall fade—Like the fading and falling of a leaf from a vine, and Like what fadeth and falleth from a fig-tree.
5 किनकि जब मेरो तरवारले स्वर्गमा अघाउञ्जेल पिउनेछ । हेर, मैले विनाशको निम्ति अलग गरिरहेका मानिसहरू एदोममाथि त्यो आउनेछ ।
For my sword hath been sated in the heavens, —Lo! upon Edom, shall it descend, Even on the people whom I have devoted to justice.
6 परमप्रभुको तरवारबाट रगत चुहिरहेको छ र बोसोले ढाकेको छ, थुमाहरू र बोकाहरूका रगत चुहिरहेको छ, भेडाहरूका मृगौलाको बोसोले ढाकिएको छ । किनकि बोज्रामा परमप्रभुको बलिदान छ र एदोममा ठुलो संहार छ ।
A sword, hath Yahweh—Glutted with blood Sated with fat, —With the blood of well-fed lambs and he-goats, With the fat of the kidneys of rams, —For, a sacrifice, hath Yahweh in Bozrah, Yea a great slaughter in the land of Edom;
7 तिनीहरूसँगै जङ्गली साँढेहरू, अनि वृद्ध साँढेहरूसँगै जवानहरू ढल्नेछन् । तिनीहरूका देश रगतले मात्नेछ र तिनीहरूका माटो बोसोले मोटाउनेछ ।
Then shall buffaloes come down with them, And bullocks with bulls, —So shall their land be soaked with blood, And, their dust, with fat, shall be enriched.
8 किनकि परमप्रभुको निम्ति यो बदलाको दिन हुनेछ र उहाँले सियोनको निम्ति तिनीहरूसँग साटो फेर्ने एउटा वर्ष हुनेछ ।
For a day of avenging, hath Yahweh, —A year of requitals for the quarrel of Zion.
9 एदोमका नदीहरू अकत्रामा, त्यसको माटो गन्धकमा परिणत हुनेछ र त्यसको देश जलिरहने अलकत्रा हुनेछ ।
Then shall the torrents thereof be turned into pitch, And the dust thereof, into brimstone, —So shall her land become burning pitch:
10 त्यो रातदिन जल्नेछ । त्यसको धुवाँ सदासर्वदा माथि उठिरहनेछ । पुस्तादेखि पुस्तासम्म यो उजाड भूमी हुनेछ । सदासर्वदा यसबाट कोही पनि हिंड्नेछैन ।
Neither night nor day, shall it be quenched, To times age-abiding, shall ascend the smoke thereof, —From generation to generation, shall it be waste, Never, never, shall any pass through it:
11 तर जङ्गली चराहरू र जनावरहरू त्यहाँ बस्नेछन् । लाटोकोसेरो र कागले त्यसमा आफ्ना गुँड बनाउनेछन् । उहाँलले त्यसमाथि नाशको नाप्ने डोरी र विनाशको सहुल लगाउनुहुनेछ ।
That the vomiting pelican and the bittern may possess it: And the great owl and the raven, dwell therein; Then will he stretch out over it The line of desolation, and The plummet of emptiness.
12 राज्य भन्नलाई त्यसका भारदारसँग कुनै कुरा रहनछैन, र त्यसका सबै शासकहरू छन् भन्ने नै हुनेछन् ।
Her nobles (but none, are, there)! unto royalty, will call, —All, all her princes, shall become nought.
13 त्यसको दरबारमा काँढाहरू, अनि त्यसको किल्लाहरूमा सिस्नो र सिउँडीहरू उम्रिनेछन् । त्यो स्यालको बास र सुतुर्मुर्गको ठाउँ हुनेछ ।
Then shall come up, in her palaces thorns Nettles and thistles in her fortresses, —And she shall become A home for wild dogs, An enclosure for ostriches;
14 त्यहाँ जङ्गली जनावरहरू र हुँडारहरू भेट्नेछन् अनि घोरलहरू एकआपसमा कराउनेछन् । रातका जनावरहरू त्यहाँ बस्नेछन् र तिनीहरूको निम्ति विश्रामको ठाउँ हुनेछ ।
Then shall criers meet with howlers, And, the shaggy creature, unto his fellow, shall call, —Only, there, shall, the night-spectre, Make her settlement, And find for herself a place of rest:
15 लाटोकोसेराहरूले गुँड बनाउनेछन्, अण्डा पार्नेछन् कोरल्नेछन् र तिनीहरूका बचेराहरूको संरक्षण गर्नेछन् । हो, त्यहाँ आ-आफ्ना जोडीसँग बाजहरू भेला हुनेछन् ।
There, shall, the arrow-snake, Make her nest and lay, And hatch and gather under her shadow, —Only, there, shall be gathered the falcons, every one with her mate.
16 परमप्रभुको चर्मपत्रको मुट्ठोभरि खोज । यिमध्ये एउटै पनि हराउनेछैन । कसैलाई पनि जोडीको कमी हुनेछैन । किनकि उहाँको मुखले यस्तो आज्ञा दिनुभएको छ र उहाँको आत्माले तिनीहरूलाई भेला गर्नुभएको छ ।
Seek ye out of the scroll of Yahweh, and read, Not, one from among them, is lacking, None, hath missed, her mate, —For, a mouth, hath, itself commanded, And, his spirit, hath itself gathered them:
17 उहाँले नै तिनीहरूका ठाउँहरूका निम्ति चिट्ठा हाल्नुभएको छ र उहाँकै हातले तिनीहरूको निम्ति डोरीले नाप लिनुभएको छ । तिनीहरूले सदासर्वदा त्यसको अधिकार गर्नेछन् । पुस्तादेखि पुस्तासम्म तिनीहरू त्यहाँ बस्नेछन् ।
Yea he himself, hath cast for them a lot, And his own hand, hath given to them a portion by line, —Unto times age-abiding, shall they possess it, To generation after generation, shall they dwell therein.
