यशैया 26
1 त्यस दिन यहूदाको देशमा यो गीत गाइने छः हामीसँग बलियो सहर छ । परमेश्वरले मुक्तिलाई यसको पर्खालहरू र घेराहरू बनाउनुभएको छ ।
In that day sung is this song in the land of Judah: 'We have a strong city, Salvation He doth make walls and bulwark.
2 ढोका खुल्ला गर, जसले गर्दा विश्वास कायम राख्ने धर्मी जाति भित्र आउन सकोस् ।
Open ye the gates, that enter may a righteous nation, Preserving stedfastness.
3 तपाईंमा लागेको मनलाई, तपाईंले उसलाई पुरा शान्तिमा राख्नुहुनेछ, किनकि उसले तपाईंमा विश्वास गर्छ ।
An imagination supported Thou fortifiest peace — peace! For in Thee it is confident.
4 सदासर्वदा परमप्रभु विश्वास गर । किनभने परमप्रभु, परमप्रभु नै अनन्त चट्टान हुनुहुन्छ ।
Trust ye in Jehovah for ever, For in Jah Jehovah [is] a rock of ages,
5 किनकि घमण्डसाथ जिउनेहरूलाई उहाँले तल झार्नुहुनेछ । किल्लबन्दी गरिएको सहरलाई उहाँले तल ढाल्नुहुन्छ, उहाँले जमिनमा पल्टाउनुहुन्छ । उहाँले त्यसलाई माटोमा मिलाउनुहुन्छ ।
For He bowed down the dwellers on high, A city set on high He maketh low, He maketh it low unto the earth, He causeth it to come unto the dust,
6 यसलाई गरीबहरूका खुट्टाले र खाँचोमा परेकाहरूका खुट्टाले कुल्चनेछ ।
Tread it down doth a foot, Feet of the poor — steps of the weak.
7 ए धर्मी जन, धर्मीको मार्ग सिधा हुन्छ । धर्मी जनको मार्गलाई तपाईंले सोझो बनाउनुहुन्छ ।
The path for the righteous [is] uprightness, O upright One, The path of the righteous Thou dost ponder.
8 हे परप्रभु, तपाईंको न्यायको मार्गमा, हामी तपाईंलाई पर्खन्छौं । तपाईंको नाउँ र तपाईंको प्रतिष्ठा नै हाम्रो चाहना हो ।
Also, [in] the path of Thy judgments, O Jehovah, we have waited [for] Thee, To Thy name and to Thy remembrance [Is] the desire of the soul.
9 रातमा मैले तपाईंको इच्छा गरें । हो, मेरो आत्माले मभित्र उत्कट रूपमा तपाईंको खोजी गर्छ । किनकि जब तपाईंको न्याहरू पृथ्वीमाथि आउँछन्, तब संसारका बासिन्दाहरूले धार्मिकताको बारेमा जान्दछन् ।
[With] my soul I desired Thee in the night, Also, [with] my spirit within me I seek Thee earnestly, For when Thy judgments [are] on the earth, The inhabitants of the world have learned righteousness.
10 दुष्ट व्यक्तिलाई कृपा गरियोस्, तर त्यसले धार्मिकता जान्नेछैन । सोझाको देशमा उसले दुष्टतासाथ काम गर्छ र परमप्रभुको ऐश्वर्यलाई देख्दैन ।
The wicked findeth favour, He hath not learned righteousness, In a land of straightforwardness he dealeth perversely, And seeth not the excellency of Jehovah.
11 हे परमप्रभु, तपाईंको हात उचालिएको छ, तर तिनीहरूले देख्दैनन् । तर मानिसहरूका निम्ति तपाईंको जोशलाई तिनीहरूले देख्नेछन् र लजमा पारिन्छन्, किनभने तपाईंका विरोधीहरूका आगोले तिनीहरूलाई नष्ट पार्नेछ ।
O Jehovah, high [is] Thy hand — they see not, They see the zeal of the people, and are ashamed, Also, the fire — Thine adversaries, consumeth them.
12 हे परमप्रभु, तपाईंले हाम्रा निम्ति शान्ति ल्याउनुहुनेछ । किनकि साँच्चै, हाम्रा सबै कामहरू तपाईंले पनि हाम्रा निम्ति पुरा गर्नुभएको छ ।
O Jehovah, Thou appointest peace to us, For, all our works also Thou hast wrought for us.
13 हे परमप्रभु, हाम्रा परमेश्वर, तपाईं बाहेक अरू मालिकहरूले हामीमाथि शासन गरेका छन् । तर तपाईंको नाउँको मात्र प्रशंसा हामी गर्नेछौं ।
O Jehovah our God, lords have ruled us besides Thee, Only, by Thee we make mention of Thy name.
14 तिनीहरू मृत छन्, तिनीहरू जिउनेछैनन् । तिनीहरू मरेका छन्, तिनीहरू उठ्नेछैनन् । साँच्चै, न्यायको निम्ति तपाईं आउनुभयो र तिनीहरूलाई नष्ट पार्नुभयो, र तिनीहरूका सबै सम्झना नाश पार्नुभयो ।
Dead — they live not, Rephaim, they rise not, Therefore Thou hast inspected and dost destroy them, Yea, thou destroyest all their memory.
15 हे परमप्रभु, तपाईंले जातिको वृद्धि गर्नुभएको छ, तपाईंले जातिको वृद्धि गर्नुभएको छ । तपाईंको आदर गरिन्छ । तपाईंले देशका सबै सिमानालाई विस्तार गर्नुभएको छ ।
Thou hast added to the nation, O Jehovah, Thou hast added to the nation, Thou hast been honoured, Thou hast put far off all the ends of earth.
16 हे परमप्रभु, कष्टमा तिनीहरूले तपाईंलाई हेरेका छन् । तिनीहरूमाथि तपाईंको अनुशासन पर्दा तिनीहरूले प्रार्थना गुनगुनाएका छन् ।
O Jehovah, in distress they missed Thee, They have poured out a whisper, Thy chastisement [is] on them.
17 गर्भवती स्त्रीले बालक जन्माउने समय नजिक भएझैं, तिनी प्रसव वेदना हुँदा झैं र आफ्नो प्रसव वेदनामा चिच्याउँदा झैं, हे परमप्रभु, तपाईंको सामु हामी त्यस्तै छौं।
When a pregnant woman cometh near to the birth, She is pained — she crieth in her pangs, So we have been from Thy face, O Jehovah.
18 हामी गर्भवती भएका छौं, हामी प्रसव वेदनामा परेका छौं, तर यो त हामीले हावालाई मात्र जन्माएको जस्तो भएको छ । हामीले पृथ्वीमा उद्धार ल्याएका छैनौं र संसारका बासिन्दाहरू ढलेका छैनन् ।
We have conceived, we have been pained. We have brought forth as it were wind, Salvation we do not work in the earth, Nor do the inhabitants of the world fall.
19 तपाईंका मृतहरू जीवित हुनेछन् । तिनीहरूका मृत शरीरहरू जीवित हुनेछन् । ए धूलोमा बस्नेहरू हो, उठ र आनन्दको गीत गाओ । किनकि तपाईंको शीत बिहानको शीत हो, अनि पृथ्वीले आफ्ना मृतकहरूलाई ल्याउनेछ ।
'Thy dead live — My dead body they rise. Awake and sing, ye dwellers in the dust, For the dew of herbs [is] thy dew, And the land of Rephaim thou causest to fall.
20 ए मेरा मानिसहरू हो, जाओ, आफ्नो कोठाभित्र पस र पछि फर्केर आफ्ना ढोकाहरू बन्द गर । क्रोध बितेर नगएसम्म, केही बेर लुक ।
Come, My people, enter into thy inner chambers, And shut thy doors behind thee, Hide thyself shortly a moment till the indignation pass over.
21 किनकि हेर, पृथ्वीका बासिन्दाहरूलाई तिनीहरूका अपराधको दण्ड दिनलाई परमप्रभु आफ्नो ठाउँबाट बाहिर आउन लाग्नुभएको छ । पृथ्वीले आफ्नो रक्तपात प्रकट गर्नेछ र आफ्ना मारिएकाहरूलाई फेरि लुकाउनेछैन ।
For, lo, Jehovah is coming out of His place, To charge the iniquity of the inhabitant of the earth upon him, And revealed hath the earth her blood, Nor doth she cover any more her slain!'
