यशैया 25
1 हे परमप्रभु, तपाईं मेरो परमेश्वर हुनुहुन्छ । तपाईंलाई म उच्च पार्नेछु, तपाईंको नाउँको म प्रशंसा गर्नेछु । किनकि धेरै अघि योजना बनाइएका कुराहरू, सुन्दर कुराहरू तपाईंले पुर्ण विश्वस्ततासाथ गर्नुभएको छ ।
O LORD, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.
2 किन तपाईंले सहरलाई एउटा थुप्रो, किल्लाबन्दी गरेको सहरलाई भग्नावशेष र परदेशीहरूका किल्ला भएको सहरलाई नाश गर्नुभएको छ ।
For thou hast made of a city an heap; of a fortified city a ruin: a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built.
3 यसकारण बलिया मानिसहरूले तपाईंको महिमा गर्नेछन् । निर्दयी सहरका जातिहरूले तपाईंको डर मान्नेछन् ।
Therefore shall the strong people glorify thee, the city of the terrible nations shall fear thee.
4 किनकि गरीबको निम्ति तपाईं सुरक्षाको ठाउँ, खाँचोमा परेकाको निम्ति शरणस्थान— हुरीबाट बच्ने घर र तापबाट बच्ने छहारी हुनुभएको छ । जब निर्दयीहरूको सास पर्खालविरुद्ध आँधीजस्तै थियो,
For thou hast been a defence to the poor, a defence to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.
5 र सुख्खा जमिनको ताप जस्तो थियो, तपाईंले विदेशीहरूका आवाजलाई निस्तेज गर्नुभयो, जसरी तापलाई बादलको छायाले निस्तेज पार्छ, त्यसरी नै निर्दयीको गीतको जवाफ दिइन्छ ।
Thou shalt bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat in a dry place; even the heat with the shadow of a cloud: the branch of the terrible ones shall be brought low.
6 यस पर्वतमाथि सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभुले सबै मानिसहरूका निम्ति मोटा-मोटा थोकहरू, उत्तम मद्यहरू, स्वदिष्ट मासु र मिठो मद्यको भोज तयार पार्नुहुनेछ ।
And on this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make to all people a feast of rich things, a feast of wines on the lees, of rich things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.
7 उहाँले मानिसहरूमाथिका छकनीहरू, सबै जातिहरूमाथि बुनिएका जालोहरू यही पर्वतमाथि नाश गर्नुहुनेछ ।
And he will destroy on this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the veil that is spread over all nations.
8 उहाँले मृत्युलाई सदाको निम्ति निल्नुहुनेछ, र परमप्रभु परमेश्वरले सबैको मुहारको आँसु पुछ्नुहुनेछ । उहाँले आफ्ना मानिसहरूको अपमानलाई सबै पृथ्वीबाट हटाउनुहुनेछ, किनकि यो परमप्रभुले भन्नुभएको छ ।
He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he remove from all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it.
9 त्यस दिन यसो भनिनेछ, “हेर, उहाँ नै हाम्रो परमेश्वर हुनुहुन्छ । हामीले उहाँको प्रतिक्षा गरेका छौं र उहाँले हामीलाई बचाउनुहुनेछ । उहाँ परमप्रभु हुनुहुन्छ । उहाँको उद्धारमा हामी खुसी हुनेछौं र आनन्द मनाउनेछौं ।
And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.
10 किनकि यो पर्वतमा परमप्रभुको हातले विश्रमा लिनेछ, अनि गोबरले भरिएको खाल्डोमा पराललाई कुल्चेझैं मोआबलाई त्यसकै ठाउँमा कुल्चिइनेछ
For on this mountain shall the hand of the LORD rest, and Moab shall be trodden down under him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill.
11 पौडी खेल्नेले पौडनलाई आफ्नो हात फैलाएझैं तिनीहरूले त्यसको माझमा आफ्ना हातहरू फैलाउनेछन् । तर तिनीहरूका हातहरूका सीपहरूको बाबजुत पनि परमप्रभुले तिनीहरूका घमण्डलाई तल झार्नुहुनेछ ।
And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that swimmeth spreadeth forth his hands to swim: and he shall bring down their pride together with the spoils of their hands.
12 तेरा किल्लाहरूका अग्ला पर्खालहरूलाई उहाँले तल जमिनमा माटोमा ढाल्नुहुनेछ ।
And the fortress of the high fort of thy walls shall he bring down, lay low, and bring to the ground, even to the dust.
