यशैया 10

1 धिक्‍कार तिनीहरूलाई जसले अन्यायपुर्ण कानुन जारी गर्छन् र अनुचित नियम लेख्छन् ।

Woe [to] those decreeing decrees of iniquity, And writers who have prescribed perverseness.

2 तिनीहरूले खाँचोमा परेकाहरूलाई न्यायबाट वञ्‍चित गर्छन्, मेरा मानिसका गरिबहरूलाई तिनीहरूका अधिकारहरू लूट्छन्, विधवालाई लूट्छन् र अनाथहरूलाई आफ्नो शिकार बनाउँछन् ।

To turn aside from judgment the poor, And to take violently away the judgment Of the afflicted of My people, That widows may be their prey, That the fatherless they may spoil.

3 इन्‍साफको दिनमा टाढाबाट विनाश आउँदा तिमीहरू के गर्नेछौ? सहायताको निम्ति तिमीहरू कसकहाँ भागरे जानेछौ र आफ्नो सम्पत्तिलाई तिमीहरू कहाँ छोड्नेछौ?

And what do ye at a day of inspection? And at desolation? — from afar it cometh. Near whom do ye flee for help? And where do ye leave your honour?

4 कुनै पनि कुरा बाँकी रहँदैन र कैदीहरूका माझमा तिमीहरू झुक्‍नेछौ वा मारिएकाहरू माझमा ढल्नेछौ । यी सबै कुराहरूमा उहाँको रिस मर्दैन । बरु उहाँको हात अझै पसारिएकै छ ।

Without Me it hath bowed down In the place of a bound one, And in the place of the slain they fall. With all this not turned back hath His anger, And still His hand is stretched out.

5 अश्‍शूरलाई धिक्‍कार, जो मेरो रिसको लट्ठी हो, त्‍यो लहुरो जसद्वारा म आफ्‍नो क्रोध मच्‍चाउँछु!

Woe [to] Asshur, a rod of Mine anger, And a staff in their hand [is] Mine indignation.

6 त्यसलाई अहङ्कारी जातिको विरुद्ध र मेरो पुरा क्रोध पाउने मानिसहरूको विरुद्ध म पठाउँछु । लूटका मालहरू लिने, शिकार लिने र तिनीहरूलाई गल्लीको हिलोलाई झैं कुल्चने आज्ञा म उसलाई दिन्छु ।

Against a profane nation I send him, And concerning a people of My wrath I charge him, To spoil spoil, and to seize prey, And to make it a treading-place as the clay of out places.

7 तर यो उहाँको इच्छा होइन, न त उहाँले यसरी सोच्‍नुहुन्छ । धेरै जातिहरूलाई विनाश गर्ने र निमिट्यान्‍न पार्ने कुरा उहाँको मनमा छ ।

And he — he thinketh not so, And his heart reckoneth not so, For — to destroy [is] in his heart, And to cut off nations not a few.

8 किनकि उहाँले भन्‍नुहुन्छ, “मेरा सबै शासकहरू राजाहरू होइनन्?

For he saith, 'Are not my princes altogether kings?

9 के कल्नो कर्कमीशजस्तै होइन र? के हमात अर्पादजस्तै होइन र? के सामरिया दमस्‍कसजस्तै होइन र?

Is not Calno as Carchemish? Is not Hamath as Arpad? Is not Samaria as Damascus?

10 जसरी मेरो हातले मूर्तीपुजक राज्यहरूलाई जितेको छ, जसका कुँदेका मूर्तिहरू यरूशलेम र सामरियामा भएका भन्दा धेरै थिए,

As my hand hath got to the kingdoms of a worthless thing, and their graven images, [Greater] than Jerusalem and than Samaria,

11 सामरिया र त्यसको व्यार्थका मूर्तीहरूलाई मैले जे गरें, यरूशलेम र त्यसको मूर्तीहरूलाई पनि म त्यसै गर्नेछैन र?”

Do I not — as I have done to Samaria, And to her worthless things, So do to Jerusalem and to her grievous things?

12 जब परमप्रभुले सियोन पर्वतमा र यरूशलेममा आफ्नो काम सिद्ध्याउनुभएको छ, तब म अश्‍शूरका राजाको अहङ्कारी हृदयको बोली र त्यसको घमण्डी हेराइलाई दण्ड दिनेछु ।

And it hath come to pass, When the Lord doth fulfil all His work In mount Zion and in Jerusalem, I see concerning the fruit of the greatness Of the heart of the king of Asshur. And concerning the glory of the height of his eyes.

13 किनकि त्‍यसले भन्‍छ, “मेरो सामर्थ्य र मेरो बुद्धिले मैले काम गरें । मसँग समझ छ, र मैले मानिसहरूका सिमानाहरू हटाएको छु । मैले तिनीहरूको बहुमूल्य सम्पत्ति चोरेको छु, र साँढेले झैं मैले बासिन्दाहरूलाई होच्‍याएको छु ।

For he hath said, 'By the power of my hand I have wrought, And by my wisdom, for I have been intelligent, And I remove borders of the peoples, And their chief ones I have spoiled, And I put down as a mighty one the inhabitants,

14 एउटा गुँडबाट झैं, मेरा हातले जातिहरूका सम्पत्ति समातेको छ, र छोडिएको अण्डाहरू कसैले बटुलेझैं, मैले सारा पृथ्वीलाई बटुलेको छु । कसैले पनि आफ्‍ना पखेटाहरू चलाएनन् वा आफ्‍ना मुख खोलेनन् वा चिरबिर आवाज निकालेनन् ।”

And my hand as to a nest Getteth to the wealth of the peoples, And as a gathering of forsaken eggs All the earth I — I have gathered, And there hath not been one moving wing, Or opening mouth, or whispering.'

15 के बन्चरोले आफूलाई चलाउने विरुद्ध आफैमा घमण्ड गर्नेछ र? के आराले आफूलाई चलाएर काट्नेलाई भन्दा आफ्नै प्रशंसा गर्नेछ र? यो त लट्ठी उचल्नेलाई लट्ठीले नै उचालेको जस्तो भयो, वा लहुरोले एक जना व्‍यक्‍तिलाई उचालेको जस्तो भयो ।

— Doth the axe glorify itself Against him who is hewing with it? Doth the saw magnify itself Against him who is shaking it? As a rod waving those lifting it up! As a staff lifting up that which is not wood!

16 यसकारण सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभुले उसका कुलिन योद्धाहरू माझ रूढी पठाउनुहुनेछ । अनि उहाँको महिमाको मुनि आगोजस्तै जलन दन्काइनेछ ।

Therefore doth the Lord, the Lord of Hosts, Send among his fat ones leanness, And under his honour He kindleth a burning As the burning of a fire.

17 इस्राएलको प्रकाश आगो बन्‍नेछ र त्यसको परमपवित्र आगोको ज्वालाजस्तो बन्‍नुहुनेछ । त्‍यसले उसको काँढाहरू र सिउँडीहरूलाई एकै दिनमा डढाउने र नष्‍ट पार्नेछ ।

And the light of Israel hath been for a fire, And his Holy One for a flame, And it hath burned, and devoured his thorn And his brier in one day.

18 त्यसको जङ्गलको गौरव र त्यसको फलवन्त भूमिको प्राण र शरीर दुवैलाई परमप्रभुले नष्‍ट पार्नुहुनेछ । यो बिरामीको शरीर गलेको जस्तो हुनेछ ।

And the honour of his forest, and his fruitful field, From soul even unto flesh He doth consume, And it hath been as the fainting of a standard-bearer.

19 त्यसको जङ्गलमा रहेका रूखहरू अति थोर बाँकी हुनेछन्, जसलाई एक जना बालकले पनि गन्‍न सक्‍छ ।

And the rest of the trees of his forest [are] few, And a youth doth write them.

20 त्यस दिन इस्राएलका बाँकी, उम्केका याकूबका घरानाले आफूलाई पराजित गर्नेमाथि भर पर्ने छैनन्, तर तिनीहरू साँच्‍चै इस्राएलका परमपवित्र परमप्रभुमा भर पर्नेछन् ।

And it hath come to pass, in that day, The remnant of Israel, And the escaped of the house of Jacob, Do not add any more to lean on its smiter, And have leant on Jehovah, The Holy One of Israel, in truth.

21 याकूबका बाँकी रहेकाहरू शक्तिशाली परमेश्‍वरकहाँ फर्कनेछन् ।

A remnant returneth — a remnant of Jacob, Unto the Mighty God.

22 किनकि तपाईंका मानसिहरू इस्राएल समुद्र किनारको बालुवाझैं भए तापनि, तिनीहरूमा बाँकी रहेकाहरू मात्र फर्कनेछन् । प्रशस्‍त धार्मिकताले माग गरेझैं, विनाशलाई आदेश दिइएको छ ।

For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, A remnant doth return of it, A consumption determined, Overflowing [with] righteousness.

23 निर्धारण गरिएको विनाशलाई परमप्रभु सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभुले सम्‍पूर्ण देशभरि ल्याउन लाग्‍नुभएको छ ।

For a consumption that is determined, The Lord, Jehovah of Hosts, Is making in the midst of all the land.

24 यसकारण परमप्रभु सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभुले भन्‍नुहुन्छ, “ए सियोनमा बस्‍ने मेरा मानिसहरू हो, अश्‍शूरसँग नडराओ । त्यसले तिमीहरूलाई आफ्‍नो लट्ठीले प्रहार गर्नेछ र तिमीहरूको विरुद्धमा त्यसको लहुरो उठाउनेछ जस्‍तो मिश्रीहरूले गरे ।

Therefore, thus said the Lord, Jehovah of Hosts, 'Be not afraid, my people, inhabiting Zion, because of Asshur, With a rod he doth smite thee, And his staff lifteth up against thee, in the way of Egypt.

25 त्यससँग नडराओ किनकि तिमीहरू विरुद्धको मेरो रिस चाँडै अन्‍त हुनेछ र मेरो क्रोधले त्यसको विनाशमा लैजानेछ ।”

For yet a very little, And the indignation hath been completed, And Mine anger by their wearing out.

26 तब सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभुले ओरेबको चट्टानमा मिद्यानलाई पराजित गरेझैं तिनीहरूका विरुद्ध कोर्रा चलाउनुहुनेछ । उहाँले आफ्नो हात समुद्रमाथि उठाउनुहुनेछ र उहाँले मिश्रमा गर्नुभएझैं यसलाई माथि उचाल्‍नुहुनेछ ।

And awaking for him is Jehovah of Hosts, A scourge like the smiting of Midian at the rock Oreb, And his rod [is] over the sea, And he hath lifted it in the way of Egypt.

27 त्यस दिन, तिमीहरूका कुममा भएको त्यसको बोझ र तिमीहरूको काँधमा भएको जुवा हटाइनेछ र मोटोपनको कारणले जुवा नष्‍ट पारिनेछ ।

And it hath come to pass, in that day, Turned is his burden from off thy shoulder, And his yoke from off thy neck, And destroyed hath been the yoke, because of prosperity.

28 शत्रुहरू अय्यातमा आएका छन् र मिग्रोन भएर गएका छन् । मिकमाशमा त्यसले आफ्‍नो खाद्यन्‍नहरू भण्डारण गरेको छ ।

He hath come in against Aiath, He hath passed over into Migron, At Michmash he looketh after his vessels.

29 तिनीहरूले भञ्‍जयाङ पार गरेका छन् र गेबामा बास बसेका छन् । रामा काँप्छ र शाऊलको गिबा भागेको छ ।

They have gone over the passage, Geba they have made a lodging place, Trembled hath Rama, Gibeah of Saul fled.

30 ए गल्लीमको छोरी, उच्‍च सोरमा करा! हे लाकीश, ध्यान दे! तँ विचरा अनातोत!

Cry aloud [with] thy voice, daughter of Gallim, Give attention, Laish! answer her, Anathoth.

31 मदमेना भाग्दैछ, गेबीमका बासिन्दाहरू सुरक्षाको निम्ति भाग्छन् ।

Fled away hath Madmenah, The inhabitants of the high places have hardened themselves.

32 त्यसै दिन त्यो नोबमा रोकिनेछ र सियोनका छोरीको पर्वत र यरूशलेमका पहाडहरूतिर आफ्नो मुक्‍का हल्‍लाउनेछ ।

Yet to-day in Nob to remain, Wave its hand doth the mount of the daughter of Zion, The hill of Jerusalem.

33 हेर, परमप्रभु सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभुले डरलाग्‍दो विनाशसँगै हाँगाहरू लुछ्नुहुनेछ । सबैभन्दा अग्‍ला रूखहरू काटिनेछन् र अहङ्कारीलाई होच्‍याइनेछ ।

Lo, the Lord, Jehovah of Hosts, Is lopping a branch with violence, And the high of stature are cut down, And the lofty are become low,

34 उहँले वनका झाडीहरूलाई वन्चरोले काट्नुहुनेछ र लेबनानको आफ्‍नो गौरव पतन हुनेछ ।

And He hath gone round the thickets of the forest with iron, And Lebanon by a mighty one falleth!
