हिब्रू 11
1 अब विश्वासचाहिँ आशा गरिएका कुराहरूको बारेमा भएको निश्चयता हो; अहिलेसम्म नदेखेका घटनाहरूको बारेमा भएको प्रमाण हो ।
But faith is, of things hoped for, a confidence, of facts, a conviction, when they are not seen;
2 किनकि हाम्रा पुर्खाहरू तिनीहरूको विश्वासका निम्ति यसरी नै प्रमाणित भएका थिए ।
For, thereby, well-attested were the ancients.
3 विश्वासद्वारा हामी बुझ्न सक्छौँ, कि सारा विश्व परमेश्वरको आज्ञाद्वारा सृष्टि भएको थियो । त्यसकारण, जे देखिन्छन् ती देखिने कुराहरूबाट बनाइएका होइनन् । (aiōn g165)
By faith, we understand the ages to have been fitted together, by declaration of God, —to the end that, not out of things appearing, should that which is seen, have come into existence. (aiōn g165)
4 विश्वासद्वारा नै हाबिलले कयिनले भन्दा उत्तम बलिदान चढाए । यसकारण, तिनी धर्मी हुन पुगे । यसरी, परमेश्वरप्रति तिनको भेटीको कारणले गर्दा तिनले सर्मथन पाए । त्यसैकारण, हाबिल मरे तापनि तिनी अझ बोलिरहेका छन् ।
By faith, a fuller sacrifice, did Abel, offer unto God, than Cain, —through which, he received witness that he was righteous, there being a witnessing upon his gifts, by God; and, through it, though he died, he yet is speaking.
5 विश्वासद्वारा नै हनोक माथि उठाई लगिए र तिनले मृत्यु देखेनन् । “तिनी भेटिएनन्, किनकि परमेश्वरले तिनलाई उठाउनुभयो ।” कारण तिनी उठाइनुभन्दाअघि तिनले परमेश्वरलाई प्रसन्न पारेको प्रमाणित भएको थियो ।
By faith, Enoch was translated, so as not to see death, and was not found, because that, God, had translated him; for, before the translation, he had received witness that he had become well-pleasing unto God; —
6 विनाविश्वास परमेश्वरलाई प्रसन्न पार्न असम्भव छ । किनकि जो परमेश्वरकहाँ आउँछ उसले परमेश्वर अस्तित्वमा हुनुहुन्छ भन्ने कुरामा विश्वास गर्नैपर्छ र उहाँलाई जसले खोज्छ त्यसले इनाम पाउनेछ भनी विश्वास गर्नुपर्छ ।
But, apart from faith, it is impossible to be well-pleasing; for he that approacheth unto God—must needs have faith, that he is, and that, to them who seek him out, a rewarder he becometh.
7 विश्वासद्वारा नै नोआलाई अहिलेसम्म नदेखेका कुराहरूका बारेमा ईश्वरीय सन्देश दिइएको थियो । तिनले भक्तिमय सम्मानसाथ एउटा पानी जहाज बनाए र आफ्नो घरानालाई बचाए । यसो गरेर तिनले संसारलाई दोषी ठहराए र विश्वासअनुसार तिनी धार्मिकताका उत्तराधिकारी भए ।
By faith, Noah, having received intimation concerning the things not yet seen, filled with reverence, prepared an ark to the saving of his house—through which he condemned the world, and, of the righteousness by way of faith, became heir.
8 अब्राहामलाई बोलाइँदा विश्वासद्वारा नै तिनले आज्ञापालन गरे र तिनी उत्तराधिकारको रूपमा पाउनुपर्ने ठाउँतिर गए । आफू कहाँ जाँदै छु भन्ने कुरा थाहै नपाए तापनि तिनी गए ।
By faith, being called, Abraham obeyed—to come forth into a place he was destined to receive for an inheritance; and he came forth, not well knowing whither he was coming.
9 तिनी विश्वासद्वारा नै प्रतिज्ञाको देशमा एक परदेशीको रूपमा बसे । तिनी पालहरूमा इसहाक र याकूबसँगै उही प्रतिज्ञाको सङ्गी उत्तराधिकारीको रूपमा बसे ।
By faith, he sojourned in the land of promise, as a foreign land, in tents, dwelling, along with Isaac and Jacob, the joint-heirs of the same promise;
10 किनकि तिनले जगहरू भएको सहरलाई हेरिरहेका थिए, जुन सहरको रचनाकार र निर्माणकर्ता परमेश्वर स्वयम् हुनुहुन्छ ।
For he was awaiting the city having foundations, whose architect and builder is, God.
11 सारा बाँझी भए तापनि अब्राहामले गर्भधारण गराउने शक्ति विश्वासद्वारा नै प्राप्त गरे । तिनी एकदमै वृद्ध भइसक्दा यसो भएको थियो । तिनीहरूलाई प्रतिज्ञा दिनुहुनेप्रति तिनीहरू विश्वासयोग्य भइरहे ।
By faith, even Sarah herself, received power for founding a seed, even beyond the season of life’s prime, —seeing that, faithful, she reckoned, him that had promised;
12 त्यसैकारण, मरेतुल्य यिनै एक जना मानिसबाट आकाशका असङ्ख्य तारा र समुद्री किनारका असङ्ख्य बालुवासरह सन्तानहरू जन्मिए, जसलाई गन्नै सकिँदैन ।
Wherefore, even from one, were born, and, as to these things, one who had become dead, —like the stars of the heaven, for multitude, and as the sand that is by the lip of the sea, that cannot be numbered.
13 यी सबै प्रतिज्ञालाई प्राप्त नगरिकनै यिनीहरू सबैले टाढैबाट स्वागत गरे । पृथ्वीमा परदेशी र निर्वासितहरू मात्र हौँ भन्ने कुरा स्वीकार गर्दै तिनीहरू विश्वासमा नै मरे ।
In faith, all these died—not bearing away the promises, but, from afar, beholding and saluting them, and confessing that, strangers and sojourners, were they upon the land.
14 किनकि जसले यस्ता कुराहरू भन्दछन् तिनीहरूले एउटा स्वदेश खोजिरहेका छन् भन्ने कुरा स्पष्ट हुन्छ ।
For, they who such things as these are saying, make it clear that, of a paternal home they are in quest;
15 साँच्चै नै तिनीहरूले आफू निस्केर गएको देशका लागि सोचिरहेका भए, तिनीहरूले फर्केर जाने मौका पाउने थिए ।
And, if indeed of that they had been mindful, from which they had come out, they might, in that case, have had an opportunity, to return;
16 तर तिनीहरू अझ उत्तम देश अर्थात् स्वर्गीय देशको चाहना गर्दछन् । त्यसकारण, परमेश्वर तिनीहरूका परमेश्वर हुन लजाउनुहुन्न, किनकि उहाँले तिनीहरूका लागि एउटा सहर तयार पार्नुभएको छ ।
But, now, after a better one, are they reaching, that is, a heavenly; wherefore God is not ashamed of them, to be invoked as, their God, —for he hath prepared for them, a city.
17 आफ्नो जाँच हुँदा विश्वासद्वारा नै अब्राहामले इसहाकलाई बलि चढाए, जो उनको एक मात्र छोरा थिए जसलाई उनले बलिदान चढाए । उनले नै प्रतिज्ञाहरू प्राप्त गरेका थिए ।
By faith, Abraham, when tested, offered up Isaac, and, the only-begotten, would he have offered up, who the promises had accepted, —
18 यिनी तिनै अब्राहाम थिए जसलाई यसो भनिएको थियो, “इसहाकद्वारा नै तेरो सन्तानको नाउँ रहनेछ ।”
Even him of whom it had been said—In Isaac, shall there be called to thee, a seed:
19 परमेश्वरले इसहाकलाई मृत्युबाट जीवित पार्न सक्नुहुने थियो भन्ने कुरा अब्राहामलाई थाहा थियो, र साङ्केतिक अर्थमा भन्नुपर्दा उनले तिनिहरूबाट आफ्ना छोरालाई फिर्ता पाएका थिए ।
Accounting that, even from among the dead, God, was able, to raise [him], —whence, even in similitude, he bare him away.
20 आउन लागेका थोकहरूको बारेमा इसहाकले विश्वासद्वारा नै याकूब र एसावलाई आशिष् दिए ।
By faith, even concerning things to come, did Isaac bless Jacob and Esau.
21 याकूब मर्नै लागेका बेलामा विश्वासद्वारा नै उनले योसेफका हरेक छोरालाई आशिष् दिए । लौरोको टुप्पोमा अडेस लागेर याकूबले आराधना गरे ।
By faith, Jacob, when about to die, blessed each of the sons of Joseph; and bowed in worship on the top of his staff.
22 योसेफको अन्त्य नजिकिँदा विश्वासद्वारा नै तिनले मिश्रबाट इस्राएलीहरू प्रस्थान हुने विषयमा बोलेका थिए र तिनका अस्थिहरूको बारेमा तिनीहरूलाई आदेश दिएका थिए ।
By faith, Joseph, when drawing to his end—concerning the exodus of the sons of Israel, called to remembrance, and, concerning his bones, gave commandment.
23 मोशा जन्मँदा तिनी सुन्दर भएको कारणले गर्दा उनका आमाबुबाले विश्वासद्वारा नै तिनलाई तिन महिनासम्म लुकाएर राखे र तिनीहरू राजाको आदेशसित डराएनन् ।
By faith, Moses, when born—was hid three months by his parents, because, they saw, that, goodly, was, the child, and were not affrighted, at the decree of the king.
24 मोशा हुर्केपछि विश्वासद्वारा नै तिनले फारोकी छोरीको छोरा कहलाइनलाई इन्कार गरे ।
By faith, Moses, when grown up—refused to be called the son of a daughter of a Pharaoh,
25 त्यसको सट्टामा, तिनले पापको क्षणिक सुख भोग्नुभन्दा बरु परमेश्वरका मानिसहरूसँगै दुःख भोग्ने कुरालाई छाने ।
Rather choosing—to be jointly suffering ill-treatment with the people of God, than, for a season, to be having, sins enjoyment;
26 मिश्रको सम्पत्तिमा भन्दा ख्रीष्टलाई पछ्याउँदा सहनुपर्ने अपमानलाई नै उनले बहुमूल्यको ठाने । कारण उनले आफ्ना आँखालाई इनाममाथि केन्द्रित गराएका थिए ।
Accounting—as greater riches than Egypt’s treasures, the reproach of the Anointed One; for he was looking away unto the recompense.
27 विश्वासद्वारा नै मोशाले मिश्रदेश छोडे । उनी राजाको क्रोधदेखि डराएनन्, किनकि एक जो अदृश्यलाई देखेजस्तै गरी उनले सही रहे ।
By faith, he forsook Egypt—not put in fear of the wrath of the king; for, as seeing him who cannot be seen, he persevered.
28 त्यसकारण, नाश गर्नेले इस्राएलीहरूका पहिले जन्मिएका जेठा छोराहरूलाई छुन नसकोस् भनी विश्वासद्वारा नै उनले निस्तार-चाड र रगतको छिट्काउको पालन गरे ।
By faith, he hath kept the passover and the besmearing of the blood, lest, he that was destroying the first-born, should be touching them.
29 विश्वासद्वारा नै उनले सुख्खा जमिनमा हिँडेजस्तै गरी लाल समुद्र पार गरे । जब मिश्रीहरूले पनि यसै गर्न खोजे, तब तिनीहरू डुबे ।
By faith, they passed through the Red Sea, as over dry land, —which the Egyptians, seizing an attempt to do, were swallowed up.
30 तिनीहरूले सात दिनसम्म यरीहो पर्खालको वरिपरि घुमेपछि विश्वासद्वारा नै यो ढल्यो ।
By faith, the walls of Jericho, fell, having been surrounded for seven days.
31 राहाब वेश्याले विश्वासद्वारा नै जासुसहरूलाई शान्तिसाथ सत्कार गरेकीले हुनाले तिनी अनाज्ञाकारीहरूसँगै नष्ट भइनन् ।
By faith, Rahab the harlot perished not with them who refused to yield, she having welcomed the spies with peace.
32 अनि योभन्दा बढी म के भनौँ? यदि मैले गिदोन, बाराक, शिमशोन, यिप्ता, दाऊद, शमूएल र अगमवक्ताहरूको बारेमा भनेँ भने, मलाई समय नै पुग्दैन ।
And what more can I say? For, time, will fail me while I go on telling—concerning Gideon, Barak, Sampson, Jephthah, David also, and Samuel, and the prophets, —
33 विश्वासद्वारा नै तिनीहरूले राज्यहरूलाई जिते; न्यायपूर्ण काम गरे; र प्रतिज्ञाहरू प्राप्त गरे । तिनीहरूले सिंहहरूको मुखलाई बन्द गरिदिए ।
Who, through faith—prevailed in contest over kingdoms, wrought righteousness, attained unto promises, shut the mouths of lions,
34 तिनीहरूले आगोको ज्वालालाई निभाए; तरवारको धारबाट भागे; रोगहरूबाट निको पारिए; युद्धमा शक्तिशाली भए; र विदेशी सेनाहरूलाई भगाए ।
Quenched the power of fire, escaped the mouths of the sword, were made powerful from weakness, became mighty in battle, overturned, camps of aliens;
35 स्त्रीहरूले आफ्ना मरेकाहरूलाई पुनरुत्थानद्वारा प्राप्त गरे । अरूले अझ उत्तम पुनरुत्थान प्राप्त गर्नलाई तिनीहरूले छुटकारालाई स्वीकार गरेनन् । त्यसैले, तिनीहरूले दण्ड भोगे ।
Women received, by resurrection, their dead; but, others, were put to the rack, not accepting redemption, that, unto a better resurrection, they might attain:
36 अरूहरूले निन्दा, कोर्रा, साङ्ला र कैदजस्ता आदि कुराहरू सहे ।
Others, again, of mockings and scourgings, received trial, nay! further, of bonds and imprisonments:
37 तिनीहरूलाई ढुङ्गाले हानियो । तिनीहरूलाई दुई भाग हुने गरी चिरियो । तिनीहरूलाई तरवारले मारियो । तिनीहरूले भेडा र बाख्राको छाला लगाएर हिँड्डुल गर्नुपर्यो र विभिन्न किसिमका दुःख, निर्दयता र अमानवीय कुराहरू सहनुपर्यो ।
They were stoned, were pierced through, were sawn asunder, by murder, with a sword, died, went about in sheep-skins, in goat-hides, —being in want, suffering tribulation, enduring ill-treatment:
38 यो संसार तिनीहरूका लागि योग्य थिएन । तिनीहरू मरुभूमि, पहाड, गुफा र जमिनका ओडारहरूतिर तितर-बितर हुनुपर्यो ।
Of whom the world, was not worthy—upon deserts, wandering, and mountains, and in caves, —and in the caverns of the earth.
39 यहाँसम्म यी सबै मानिसहरू तिनीहरूका विश्वासको कारण परमेश्वरद्वारा प्रमाणित भए, तापनि तिनीहरूले प्रतिज्ञा गरिएका कुराहरू प्राप्त गर्न सकेनन् ।
And, these all, though they obtained witness through their faith, yet bare not away, the promise:
40 हामीविना तिनीहरू सिद्ध नहोऊन् भनी परमेश्वरले हाम्रा लागि अझ उत्तम कुरा अघिबाटै योजना गरिदिनुभएको थियो ।
God, for us, something better providing, —that, not apart from us, should they be made, perfect.
