उत्पत्ति 39
1 योसेफलाई मिश्रमा लगियो । अङ्गरक्षकहरूका एक मिश्री कप्तान फारोका अधिकारी पोतीफरले उनलाई इश्माएलीहरूबाट किने ।
Ioseph was brought vnto Egipte ad Putiphar a lorde of Pharaos: ad his chefe marshall an Egiptian bought him of ye Ismaelites which brought hi thither
2 परमप्रभु योसेफसँग हुनुहुन्थ्यो र उनी एक समृद्ध मानिस भए । उनी आफ्ना मिश्री मालिकका घरमा बस्थे ।
And the LORde was with Ioseph and he was a luckie felowe and continued in the house of his master the Egiptian.
3 परमप्रभु उनीसँग हुनुहुन्छ र उनले गर्ने सबै काममा उनलाई समृद्धि मिल्छ भन्ने कुरा उनको मालिकले देखे ।
And his master sawe that the ORde was with him and that the LORde made all that he dyd prosper in his hande:
4 योसेफले तिनको कृपादृष्टि पाए । उनले पोतीफरको सेवा गरे । पोतीफरले योसेफलाई आफ्नो घर र तिनको स्वामित्वमा रहेका सबै कुरामाथि अधिकार दिए, र ती उनको जिम्मामा लगाए ।
Wherfore he founde grace in his masters syghte and serued him. And his master made him ruelar of his house and put all that he had in his hande.
5 तिनको घर र तिनको स्वामित्वमा रहेका सबै कुरामाथि योसेफलाई अधिकार दिएपछि योसेफको कारण परमप्रभुले त्यस मिश्रीको घरलाई आशिषित् गर्नुभयो । पोतीफरको घर र खेतमा भएका सबै कुरामाथि परमप्रभुको आशिष् रह्यो ।
And as soone as he had made him ruelar ouer his house ad ouer all that he had the LORde blessed this Egiptians house for Iosephs sake and the blessynge of the LORde was vpon all that he had: both in the house and also in the feldes.
6 पोतीफरले आफ्ना सबै कुरा योसेफको जिम्मामा दिए । तिनले आफूले खाने भोजनबाहेक अरू कुनै कुराको विषयमा पनि चिन्ता लिनु पर्दैनथ्यो । योसेफ सुन्दर र आकर्षक थिए ।
And therfore he left all that he had in Iosephs hande and loked vpon nothinge that was with him saue only on the bread which he ate. And Ioseph was a goodly persone and a well favored
7 योसेफका मालिककी पत्नीले उनीप्रति चाहना राखिन् । तिनले भनिन्, “मसँग सुत ।”
And it fortuned after this that his masters wife cast hir eyes vpon Ioseph and sayde come lye with me.
8 उनले इन्कार गरेर आफ्ना मालिककी पत्नीलाई यसो भने, “हेर्नुहोस्, मेरा मालिकले यस घरमा म के गर्छु भन्ने कुराप्रति कुनै चिन्ता गर्नुहुन्न, र उहाँका सबै कुरा उहाँले मेरै जिम्मामा दिनुभएको छ ।
But he denyed and sayde to her: Beholde my master woteth not what he hath in the house with me but hath commytted all that he hath to my hande
9 मभन्दा ठुलो यस घरमा कोही छैन । उहाँले तपाईंबाहेक सबै कुरा मलाई दिनुभएको छ, किनभने तपाईं उहाँकी पत्नी हुनुहुन्छ । यसैकारण मैले कसरी यस्तो दुष्ट काम गरी परमेश्वरको विरुद्ध पाप गर्न सक्छु?”
He him selfe is not greatter in the house than I ad hath kepte nothige fro me but only the because thou art his wife. How than cam I do this great wykydnes for to synne agaynst God?
10 तिनले योसेफसँग दिनहुँ कुरा गरिन्, तर उनी तिनीसँग सुत्न वा तिनको नजिक जान इन्कार गरे ।
And after this maner spake she to Ioseph daye by daye: but he harkened not vnto her to slepe nere her or to be in her company.
11 एक दिन उनी आफ्ना काम गर्न घरभित्र प्रवेश गरे । घरभित्र कोही पनि मानिस थिएन ।
And it fortuned aboute the same season that Ioseph entred in to the house to do his busynes: and there was none of the houshold by in the house.
12 तिनले उनको लुगा समातिन् र भनिन्, “मसँग सुत ।” उनले आफ्ना लुगा तिनकै हातमा छोडेर बाहिर भागे ।
And she caught him by the garment saynge: come slepe with me. And he left his garment in hir hande ad fled and gott him out
13 जब योसेफ आफ्ना लुगा छोडेर बाहिर भागेका तिनले देखिन्,
when she sawe that he had left his garmet in hir hande and was fled out
14 तिनले आफ्ना घरका मानिसहरूलाई बोलाएर भनिन्, “हेर, पोतीफरले हाम्रो बेइज्जत गर्न एउटा हिब्रूलाई ल्याउनुभएको छ । त्यो मकहाँ सुत्न भनेर आयो, अनि म चिच्याएँ ।
she called vnto the men of the house and tolde them saynge: Se he hath brought in an Hebrewe vnto vs to do vs shame. for he came in to me for to haue slept myth me. But I cried with a lowde voyce.
15 जब त्यसले म चिच्याएकी सुन्यो, त्यसले आफ्ना लुगा मकहाँ छोडेर बाहिर भाग्यो ।”
And when he harde that I lyfte vp my voyce and cryed he left his garment with me and fled awaye and got him out.
16 तिनको मालिक घर नआउन्जेलसम्म तिनले त्यो लुगा आफ्नै साथमा राखिन् ।
And she layed vp his garment by her vntill hir lorde came home.
17 तिनले उनलाई यसरी वर्णन गरिन्, “तपाईंले हाम्रो निम्ति ल्याउनुभएको त्यो हिब्रू नोकर मेरो बेइज्जत गर्न मकहाँ आयो ।
And she told him acordynge to these wordes saynge. This Hebrues servaunte which thou hast brought vnto vs came in to me to do me shame.
18 जब म चिच्याएँ, त्यसले आफ्ना लुगा मकहाँ छोडेर बाहिर भाग्यो ।”
But as soone as I lyft vp my voyce and cryed he left his garment with me and fled out.
19 आफ्नो नोकरले आफ्नी पत्नीलाई गरेको व्यवहार आफ्नी पत्नीबाट सुनेपछि तिनी रिसले चुर भए ।
When his master herde the woordes of his wyfe which she tolde him saynge: after this maner dyd thy servaunte to me he waxed wrooth.
20 योसेफका मालिकले उनलाई झ्यालखानामा राखे जहाँ राजाका कैदीहरू राखिन्थे । उनी त्यही झ्यालखानामा थिए ।
And he toke Ioseph and put him in pryson: euen in the place where the kinges prisoners laye bounde. And there contynued he in preson.
21 तर परमप्रभु योसेफसँग हुनुहुन्थ्यो र आफ्ना करारप्रति उहाँ भरोसायोग्य रहनुभयो । झ्यालखानाका हाकिमको नजरमा उहाँले उनलाई कृपादृष्टि दिनुभयो ।
But the LORde was with Ioseph ad shewed him mercie and gott him fauoure in the syghte of the keper of ye preson
22 झ्यालखानाका हाकिमले झ्यालखानाका सबै कैदीहरू योसेफको जिम्मामा दिए । तिनीहरूले गर्ने काममाथि योसेफकै निगरानी हुन्थ्यो ।
which commytted to Iosephe hade all the presoners that were in the preson housse. And what soeuer was done there yt dyd he.
23 उनको जिम्मामा भएका कुनै कुरामा त्यस झ्यालखानाका हाकिम चिन्तित हुँदैन थिए, किनभने परमप्रभु उनीसँग हुनुहुन्थ्यो । उनले जे गर्थे, परमप्रभुले समृद्धि प्रदान गर्नुहुन्थ्यो ।
And the keper of the preso loked vnto nothinge that was vnder his hande because the LORde was with him and because that what soeuer he dyd the LORde made it come luckely to passe.
